Emily peered through the branches of the tree where Lucius had left and saw that he was fighting a Blaziken and an Infernape. Even though he was dodging there attacks Lucius wasn't able to hit either of them due to the fact that they worked in union, when one was recovering from an attack the other blocked his attacks. She sucked in a breath as the Blaziken punched Lucius in the jaw but it didn't daze him. Lucius grabbed the next punch and swung the Blaziken back first through the nearest tree and he tossed him at the Infernape. The two Pokémon got back to their feet like nothing actually happened and charged at Lucius. Emily took the moment of unity to plunge into their minds and see if she could disconnect them. It took her a while but finally she found the connection and went to work on deactivating it. Once, it was deactivated Lucius' insignia flared a bright blue before he froze the two Pokémon.
"It's safe to come down now." He told her.
When she landed on the ground she looked at the two dead Pokémon.
"How could they do this?" Emily asked Lucius.
"When it comes to war at least one side goes to extremes to try to win." Lucius replied as he tossed the two Pokémon over his shoulder.
"What are you doing?" Emily asked him.
"These were two of my best Generals, and they deserve the right burial." Lucius replied.
Emily looked at Lucius as they walked to the outpost where everyone was waiting and she was still shocked at how he reacted so differently to things. He laid the two bodies down on beds in the dead ward and turned to Emily.
"I need you to do something." Lucius told her.
"What's up?" Emily asked him.
"I need to unblock my memories." Lucius replied.
"Why, you went through a lot to block them and now you want to have them in your mind, what's with the change of heart?" Emily asked him.
"I need to be able to face the old memories if I am ever to face the leader of the Freedom Fighters." Lucius replied as he guided her out of the dead ward.
"Okay, but we'll need some items before I can even be certain that it will go the way I'd need it to." Emily replied.
Alabaster kneel at the base of the throne, purely afraid of what was about to happen.
"Report Alabaster." The Lucario told him.
"The hunters are dead sir." Alabaster replied.
The Lucario sneered and flicked his wrist launching Alabaster through the wall behind. Then he whistled and one of his servants walked up his side.
"Get the corpse out of my sight." He told the servant.
"Yes sir."
As the servant dragged the body away the Lucario's Naiso walked up beside him.
"Cress, keep killing your Generals and you'll be your own downfall." His Naiso replied.
"There are plenty more where he came from." Cress replied evenly, his anger spent.
"Lillian is here sir, should I let her in?" Another servant asked him.
"Yes, bring her in." Cress replied.
The grand door to the throne room opened and Cress' fifth wife came in. Lillian was just about as ruthless as Cress, thus was why she had his last three wives killed for treason. Lillian bowed to one knee at the base of the throne, her fine silk gown splaying out of the floor.
"Rise, what is your news?" Cress asked her.
"I am… pregnant your Majesty." Lillian replied.
"Perfect, Naiso see to it that she gets proper nutrition for herself and the child." Cress replied.
"As you wish Cress." His Naiso replied.
Lillian and his Naiso kowtowed backwards out of the throne room leaving Cress to his thoughts and his shadow self, which made itself known as soon as the door closed.
"The plan is proceeding as planned." The shadow replied in a rasp.
"When all the pieces fall into place Farango, you will have a host even if it is my own child." Cress replied.
"Then you will be unstoppable." Farango replied joyously. "Wish to learn anything about the ancients today?"
"Yes, their forms of torture we were on that when you last came yet we didn't finish." Cress replied.
Lucius was laid on his bed arms and legs out flat, and as the unblock ceremony required he had his chest bare. Emily washed his chest, arms, and face with a cleansing wash that Gardirvore had told her would open up his psychic pathways for both of them. After his upper body washed and dried Emily gently pushed into his mind to get used to the feeling. She felt herself leave her physical body and found herself standing beside Lucius, who was wearing his golden armor and had a sword strapped to his waist. Emily was still in her regular clothes but the gem around her neck was glowing dimly.
"Your gem will lead you to the block and I will guide you on how to deactivate it." Lucius told her.
"Lucius, why are you really doing this?" Emily asked him.
"I've… I have always run from my past and who I truly am, but if I'm ever going to have a chance to win this war I have accept the past and move forward." Lucius replied.
Emily nodded as she took his hand and followed him through his memories. Soon, they were in a house and a kid version of Lucius was running around with a younger version of Sarah.
"She was always full of energy." Lucius told Emily. "Always running around and wanting to play, but the war took away her chance of ever having a childhood."
The memory shifted to Sarah being in a hospital bed and she was bruised beyond recognition, the only way Emily knew it was because a younger Lucius was by her bed side.
"Her only boyfriend beat and raped her, and we had almost lost her that night." Lucius replied as Emily looked at her.
"You know I can show you my memories as well; and there are something I want you to see." Emily told him before shifting the scene to one of her memories.
The scene shifted to a younger Emily around three stumbling after a younger Soul.
"Sorry about the poor quality; it's one of my earliest memories." Emily told Lucius.
Lucius grabbed her shoulders and as his eyes turned a deep purple the memory got sharper.
"How are you doing that?" Emily asked him.
"Going into your mind or clearing the image?" Lucius asked her.
"Both, I've never met anyone that could get into my mind so easily and you just walk right in like you do it everyday for fun." Emily replied.
"With me your mind just opens up because of our relationship, and with the memory I'm clearing away every bad memory of your mom and brother that you unconsciously linked to this memory; now it is in perfect imagery when ever you want to look at it." Lucius told her before he looked across the field at Emily's mother. "I'm sorry about what happened."
"Don't be, a disease claimed her that even Arceus probably couldn't even heal." Emily replied as she looked over at her mother. "We should continue what we were doing.
Lucius barely nodded as Emily gently pushed them back into one of his memories. This time they landed in an empty room where a younger Lucius about in his pre teens was huddled in a corner, and his back was bloody.
"Lucius?" Emily asked him.
He was zoned out as he reached for the younger Lucius but then he remember he couldn't help. Soon, an older man stormed into the room with the bloodied whip and resumed slashing up the younger Lucius' back even though he didn't cry. After a while the man dropped the whip and started to punch the younger Lucius until he was bloodied and battered beyond recognition. This time when the guy left Lucius' mom came rushing in and cradled his body into her lap.
"I'm so sorry Lucius, I wish I could stop him, but he would kill all of us." His mom told him.
Lucius rose to his feet easily and stretched like nothing actually happened even though his back was on fire. Soon, the memory faded and one reappeared but it was foggy.
"This I where I had Amilia place the lock just focus with your mind and it will show you the way to unlock it." Lucius told her as he sat down.
Emily focused on the fog and suddenly felt a voice in her head guiding her along. After focusing for a while the fog started to clear but before she could get a good look at they were moved to another memory and soon they were flying through the memories until she hit a solid wall of fog. The protection around the wall was strong enough to Emily backwards but she felt Lucius catch her and gently set her back on her feet.
"This is the final wall, but I have to take it down myself." Lucius told her.
Emily nodded as she sat down, her energy literally sapped away by the earlier process, and she silently watched Lucius get into position. He placed his hands on the wall and Emily watched as a stream of golden energy flowed from Lucius into the wall and soon the wall started to pulsate; after a while it started to dissolve. All the sudden, they were back in Lucius' tent and Emily instantly collapsed with her head on his chest. Lucius chuckled as he grabbed her hips with both hands and pulled her completely on top of him. Soon, he fell asleep as well and when he woke up they had a blanket over the both of them and they were both half naked.
"Emily, did you take my clothes off?" Lucius asked her.
"Yeah, they were soaked in sweat from before, but this isn't much better. You are really warm though, so I guess that's a good thing." Emily told him.
Lucius wrapped his arms around Emily's waist they made for a while before he pulled off her panties and bra. Lucius started to massage Emily's body as she relaxed against his chest and started to sing softly into his ear. A little bit later they moved over to the bed where Lucius massaged Emily's front and soon they were having sex once again.
