I examined myself in front of the small mirror, twisting my body around to make sure everything looked nice and presentable. I was dressed in my favorite outfit. A long maroon skirt that cinched at my waist and a white peasant blouse that was tied together at the front. It certainly wasn't traditional elvish garb, but I had found it in a small supply closet that had many random items, almost like some sort of lost and found.

For the first time in a while, I decided to wear my hair down. It had gotten very long and framed my small body wildly. I looked in the mirror and realized I looked a little bit older. Maybe it was my hair falling around my shoulders or that my face was thinner.

A knock was placed on my door. It was time to go to the small clearing located outside of the kitchens by the outdoor streams, where servants typically gathered if they wanted to join in larger groups.

Vanya stood in the hallway dressed as primly and nicely as she always did, her pretty blue eyes surveyed me. "Annie you do look a bit like a tavern wench."

I threw my hands up "Why does everyone say that?" I looked down. Okay maybe I had to keep an eye on the shirt so it wouldn't unlace.

Pulling out two crowns of red flowers I had made with twine, I set one on my head and one on hers.

She laughed. "Come, everyone has already should already be there for our dinner."

So far she thought we were having a nice small dinner for her betrothal and a last meal for myself before I went away with Legolas in the early afternoon tomorrow. King Thranduil allowed it, since guards would be present. Little did she know I had gotten Gwendir to assist me in setting up a couple of things, and also retrieving alcohol from the cellars.

I smiled as we reached the clearing. There was a long table that had stacks of cups near it, another table that had snacks and a giant glass bowl I had managed to fill with a Sangria type punch- I had to get creative with the limited supplies, chairs on the outskirts for people to gather and talk, and candles everywhere to light up the evening. A small fire was set up towards the side along with more chairs to sit and visit.

Almost all the female servants I have worked with since the time I ran into this world were already gathered around the old sheets I had hung up, along with paints and brushes. Some had already started painting pretty flowers or mountains with starry skies.

Vanya turned to me. "Annie what is all this?" She was gazing around at all the random things I had put together.

I shrugged. "I figured I could show everyone a little more from my world before I left. I don't really know when I'll see anybody again so I wanted to have something for everyone to remember."

She gave me a pretty smile. "This is sweet Annie, thank you for having such a nice calm evening planned."

I winked at her. "Not everyone has started drinking the punch yet so we'll see about that."

She gasped and looked like she wanted to call everything off before she paused and said. "Perhaps I could have a small taste, just to see what you call 'Sangria'"

I grinned like a maniac and ran off to go grab us something to drink. Gwendir stood eating a small plate of fruit by the punch and seemed to already have been passing around filled cups to everyone who approached. I gave him a huge hug, which he seemed very surprised at, but didn't push away. "Thank you thank you thank you!" I hopped away from him and poured two large cups for Vanya and I.

I quickly ran over to her and set it in her hands before speed walking abruptly back to Gwendir.

He smiled. "I am always happy to help for a party."

I looked at him sideways and. "Wanna play a drinking game?"

"Of course."

And with that, he helped me set up the long table I had managed to drag out and set up the thin metal cups in the correct formation. I giggled as I poured ale in them and retrieved the small ball I had made out of the remaining spider web I had found. It was perfectly bouncy and didn't hold water.

"Ok so." I said seriously, facing two lower class guards that had decided to join. Gwendir was at my side. "Back from where I'm from, we call this Beer Pong..."

Approximately three Sangrias and four beer pong games later, I was cheering along with Gwendir at another victory. Many had pulled up chairs to watch, while others had decided to join in and take the time to politely jest with each other.

I smiled and gave Gwendir a big hug. "Okay I think I've had enough ale for now, anyone want to take my place?"

Alonnen got up from the chair he had placed next to Vanya. "I think I will try my luck."

I gestured for him to stand where I was and peeled myself from Gwendir's arms, not realizing he still halfway held me, and stumbled away from the small crowd gathered.

Someone cleared their throat in front of me.

I looked up, it was Legolas, looking very annoyed. I was surprised to see he was holding a large cup of my drink I had made.

"Lady Annie.

I didn't quite like his tone. "Prince Legolas."

"You seem to have been having an intimate time with your friend Gwendir. Is there any romance between you and my guard?"

I raised my eyebrows at his words. "Why you jealous?"

Why did I just say that?

He scoffed, obviously still irritated. "No, what is there to be jealous of Lady Annie?"

I gaped at him. Why the sudden rudeness? "Absolutely nothing." I quickly turned and walked away from him, back to the drinks table and poured myself another one.

"Oi!Yall! Listen up!" I yelled, grabbing Vanya and placing us near the edge of the clearing where the ground was slightly elevated. Everyone looked up, amused and curious.

Pulling out the bouquet of flowers I had made for the bride to be, I shoved it in her arms before gesturing in front of us. "Okay so all the ladies who are not married gather in front of me." Slowly, about ten to fifteen stood in a crowd in front of us. "Alright, this is part of a wedding tradition from my world. Whoever catches the bouquet is to receive good fortune, especially in their love life." I grinned as all the ladies in front of me giggled to each other.

Gently turning Vanya around so she face away from the crowd, I instructed her what to do. "Okay 3...2...1!"

I'd never seen lady elves be so ungraceful than I had in that moment.

I was staring at the paper in front of me, frowning. I had set up a small table with parchment, ink, and quills alongside a small wooden box where people could write congratulations and well wishes or advice for Vanya and Alonnen. A little drunk and with alot of emotions for my best friend I started my letter as such:

Dear Vanya,

Thank you so much for being my best friend in my stay at Mirkwood. You and Alonnen will make beautiful tall elvish babies.

I paused and wiped a tear away.

I'm going to miss you so much. Please don't forget about me when yall do the whole kids, settling down, soccer mom thing. You'll see me in the future(hopefully soon), still as a lonely ridiculous spinster corrupting the elvish youth. Oh by the way I totally forgot to tell you! Legolas was being such a jerk. 10/10 will be ignoring him from now. Like I don't know who he thinks he-

I stopped writing again, realizing I could just tell her that later tonight, and that this letter was about her not me.

Anyways.

Alonnen better treat you like the smart gorgeous hot wifey I know you'll be. If I hear he's not a good husband I will personally come and kick him where the sun does not shine.

Just remember, even though you'll live for thousands and thousands of years I'm sure, remember that for now you only have today, so keep living life to the fullest. I love you!

Love, Annie.

P.S. have fun on your wedding night you virgin!

P.S.S. you better write and tell me what it's like! I expect full slutty dirty sweaty details!

I smiled, knowing my best friend would blush and scold me after reading this, but laugh in the end. I folded up the parchment after letting the ink dry and dropped it in the box, walking once again towards the drinking games.

"Aw come on!" I sighed, watching the beer pong ball roll off into the woods that surrounded the clearing. "I'll go get it"

I stepped away from the crowd and into the edge of the forest, mumbling to myself about rude spoiled princes and too much wine. I forgot what I had even come looking for until I was tripping over branches and almost too far to hear the party at all.

My crown I had made had fallen apart, leaving small red flowers spread about in my mane of waves.

"Shit." I said, plopping down on a log and catching my breath, pulling my skirt away from a branch it had snagged and ripped, leaving a slit high up on my legs. I didn't bother to cover myself since no one was around.

"You shouldn't wonder off alone."

"What the fuck!" I half yelled, jumping up.

Legolas stood in front of me once again, his eyes slowly trailing up my legs from where my skirt had ripped, all the way up to my blouse, which had come undone and showed way more than what any elf would be caught dead in.

I tried to stalk pass him in annoyance after his rudeness from earlier, but he caught my arm. His breath tickled my ear as he leaned close. "These woods are dangerous for a young maiden like yourself."

I shoved my hair out of my face and glared at him "Not that you care."

He studied my face. "I care more than you know."

I wrenched my arm away from him and started to walk away again. "Then act like it."

All of the sudden, strong arms grabbed me and backed me up. against. a. tree.

"What-"

I was cut off by Legolas lowering his head and placing his mouth slowly on mine.
