Chapter 11: Wrath of the Crimson Mage

"Oh...end me...please," Lisanna was currently lying in a sickbed. She was comically calling out for someone to stop the pain while reaching her arm out for "the light". Her teammates and brother only sweat dropped at her words.

"Uh...will she be okay?" Gray asked.

"No worries. A little bit is sleep and she'll be ready to go," Porlyusica informed. Deep in Erza's head, Lisanna's words during the "Chariot" event replayed in her mind.

'Lisanna. I had no idea you felt that way about us. Even after all those times we had our tussles, you still cared about us. I guess it was wrong of me to think you would eventually abandon us and join another guild that can at least stand up for themselves. I never should've doubted you. Thank You.' Snapping back into reality, she turned her attention to Wendy and Carla, who was sitting up straight, talking to Gray and Lucy.

"So, I see you're feeling better, you two. Any problems?" She questioned.

"Not at all. In fact, I'm all ready for tomorrow," the sky maiden said with a fist pump.

"Hey! Don't you go tearing yourself before the match. Even if you say you're ready, I still say you need to rest," Carla lectured.

"Wonderful. Well Porlyusica-san. It seems you have yet to surprise me," Titania complimented.

"Thank you, Erza, but unfortunately, you are thanking the wrong person." The Fairy Tail medical advisor corrected.

"What?"

"It wasn't me. A man in a red hood came by when the games started and healed her with no effort." Erza knew exactly who the elder woman was referring to. Gray and Lucy were too busy conversating with their healed guildmates to hear everything that was just said. Erza, Blocked out all sounds and was deep into her thought.

'Wow. I guess I was completely wrong about that man. So far all his actions have been to help us. Healing Wendy, befriending Lisanna, and saving her from the Ogre mages from back then. I misjudged him completely. She gave a small smile at her misguidence which didn't go unnoticed by Wendy.

"You alright, Erza? You seem happy about something."

"Oh, no. Its nothing. Just remembering something."

"Alright guys. I suggest you leave. You don't want to end up missing your matches," the medical woman reminded.

"Yes. Come on guys. Let's leave them alone." Erza said while walking away. She then stopped to turn to Wendy. "Since you're better now Wendy, do you want to join us?"

"No, its alright. I'm going to stay here and keep Lisanna company," the bluenette answered.

"Very well. Get better Lisanna, got it?"

"...Aye..." the platinum-haired woman still had a comical sick face and gave a trembling thumb up sick since couldn't really talk well. The trio left the room. Left a conscious Wendy, Carla, and Porylusica alone in the room.

"Why didn't didn't you tell her?" The pink-haired woman asked the white exceed.

"She wouldn't have believed me." Carla responded.

"It's better for her to at least know than for her to not know at all," Wendy said with a soft voice.

Carla sighed. "I know, but...what if I'm wrong. What if I'm just imagining things. My predictions could be wrong. Even I don't believe what I saw."

"Your visions haven't been wrong before, have they?" Porlyusica asked.

"...No..."

"Well, just try to tell her next time, okay?"

"Yeah..."

Back at the colisuem. The battle portions were already underway. Guilds constantly being pit against each other. Currently it was the first match was against Lamia Scale's Toby Horhorta and Raven Tail's Kurohebi.

"Super Paralyzing Claws - Mega Mega Jellyfish!" Toby shouted the name of his attack and swiped his claws swiftly and ferociously at Kurohebi. He dodged every swing and feinted a hit, falling onto his back, or that's what it looked like. After only an inch away from the sandy ground, Kurohebi disappeared into thin air, leaving a tiny gust of wind in his wake. "He disappeared?!"

"That's Mimicry magic!" Jura yelled from his guild's viewing section. To by was caught off guard by a small portion of sand blowing by. Kurohebi appeared out or the portion of moving sand and went on the offenseive.

"Sand Rebellion!" Toby was hit hard and flew a good three feet spinning.

"That's my magic!" Max said with a gasp.

"Mimicry magic is quite rare to have." Mavis thought out loud.

Toby stood up from the attack and wiped his cheek. "You're pretty strong," he complimented.

"As are you," Kurohebi said back.

"Your name is cool as well."

"Kurohebi isn't my real name." For some reason, that last sentence sent the dog looking image furious.

"That's not your name?!" Toby roared.

"You're mad about that?" The raven mage was actually confused at the moment.

"If I win, you have to tell me your real name!" The lamia mage once again swiped swiftly at his opponent.

"And if I?"

"I'll tell you my super secret!"

"It seems like a bet has been made. This is sure to spice up the action!" Chapati spoke.

"I'm not interested in either of them though," Yajima spoke his own opinion. Jason shouted his usual "COOL" catchphrase.

"Interesting!" Kurhohabi gave a small smirk as he attack and in the blink of an eye, Toby fell to the ground.

"It's over! Raven Tail wins!" The crowd cheered. Makarov had a hilarious fit.

"They really are strong." Gray thought out loud.

"He neither cheated or use cowardly tatics." Erza pointed out. Lucy looked over to see Flare glaring at her; and noticed she had bruises on her body. Lucy didn't need magic to guess what had happened. After all, they had to cheat to allow her to win. The celestial mage gave a sympathic look. Back at the arena. To by revealed his "super secret"...he couldn't find his favorite sock he had been searching for for three months. Lamia Scale fell anime style on the floor. Toby actually cried which made the other guild sweat dropped. Kurohebi silently pointed to his chest. Toby got the messege and looked down to see the his sock was around his neck the whole time. He instantly had a smile of relief, but that was quickly replaced with a sad, depressed look when the raven image took the sock and ripped it to pieces. Erza was ready to jump down to get revenge for Toby before Gray stopped her. After getting both Mages of the field, the games continued.

"Now! On to match 2!" Up in the highest viewing quarters, the king stood next to Arcadios, watching every minute.

"These setups you've put together are spectacular, Arcadios. I must commend you,", the king said with a pleased face.

"No problem, your majesty. Also, the one you requested is actually coming up now," Arcadios informed.

"~Oh~ I can't wait. Erza verses Bacchus. Truly a match to remember!"

"W-wait. You wanted Erza? I didn't assign her?"

"What?!" The king exclaimed.

"The one I assigned was..."

"Quarto Cerberus's Bacchus Groh vs. Fairy Tail A's..."

"So he's finally up," Erza said.

"What will we do if Lisanna's up?"

"Find some way to wake her up."

"Elfman Strauss!" The fairy mages, minus the ones actually competing, all grew pale faces of disappointment and shockness.

"That's it. We lost," Wakaba admitted.

"Bacchus won for sure," Maeco muttered.

Over at the Standby section, Elfman began to feel butterflies in his stomach. He slowly walked towards the entrance.

"Don't listen to them. Our only path is that of victory," Erza reminded.

"O-oi..." the platinum-haired male muttered. Elfman made his way towards the arena. Mira, over with her team, watched silently as her young brother took the stand.

'Please, Elfman. This may be a competition, but please be careful,' her overprotective, older sister side began to take over.

She then felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked to see Laxus, who was able to sense her nervousness, give her a comforting smile. "Don't worry. He'll be fine. He's been through worse. Mira stood still for a second, but quickly returned the smile with one of her own.

"What?! What made you think I wanted Elfman to fight?"

"My sirest apologies, your Majesty." Arcadios felt like an idiot. The wanted Erza to fight. He had no idea on how he got both of the mages mixed up.

Bacchus was already down in the arena; laying on the ground with his gourd of alcohol next to him and eyeballed his opponent. "Hey, big guy," he called out as the Strauss sibling made his to his starting position. "Let's both make a bet like the previous two. Man to man." The words perked the audience's attention. "Your sisters are two gorgeous beauties...if I win, you lend them to me for one night." The cerberus mage glared at Elfman with a devious looking smile. Mira didn't care about the bet, but anxious at how her brother would tolerate it. Surely enough, he didn't take it well, the male take-over mage gave his opponent a death glare and a vein of anger popping out of his forehead that sent shivers down the audience' spines.

"I'm gonna rip you apart!" Elfman said in a vicious voice.

"Your eyes say everything. My soul is shaking." Bacchus stood up to fight.

In the infirmary, Lisanna finally gain consciousness. She sat up and did a long stretch. "Aye. That was a good sleep," she spoke as she looked over to her side as she grabbed her cherished dragon scale scarf and began to wrap it around her neck. She stood up from her bed and looked around the room. To her surprise, she was alone. "Wendy? Carla? Porlyusica?" She was about to just shrug it off, if something unexpected caught her attention. She began sniffing the air and picked a unfamiliar fragrance. "No. Someone else's smell resides in here. A very unpleasant smell at that." She felt anxious about the whole situation, until something boggled her mind.

"Wait. When was I able to pick up a human scent, when I myself is human," she thought for a minute before coming up with a somewhat accurate conclusion. "Geez, Those side affects that N told me about are nothing to joke about. I'm over here thinking I have some superhuman ability over," Lisanna opened the door to the infirmary and dashed down the hallway with an unusaual amount of superhuman speed, something selse she found weird. She still shrugged it off however for she had her friends to find.

"Found you!" Four soldiers from the Anti-Magic Squad carrying an unconscious Wendy, Carla, and Porlyusica turned to see Lisanna stood in the middle of an entrance the just came out of. She sent a death glare that stopped them dead in their tracks. Said take-over mace lunged forward. "Where are you taking Wendy and the others?!" She yelled.

"Crap!" One of the squad members said.

"Run for it!" The second one shouted as they began running once more.

"Bet back here!" Lisanna's pace quicker with every step she took.

"She's too fast!"

"Isn't she the one who felt sick during the preliminary event?!" The third thought out loud.

"Go on! I got this." The fourth declared as he bravely stopped running and stood.

"She's all yours."

The fourth took out two twin revolvers and took a stance."These weapons are the best against magic opponents." As confident as he was, it didn't help. In a split second, Lisanna rushed the man; grabbing his neck and pushing his down to the ground. She wasn't done. She began to drag the man by the neck along the floor. His body and the platinum-haired mage's newfound superhuman strength broke into the ground and crated at line as the man's body continued to break the solid concrete floor.

"She'll catch us at this rate! What'll we do?!" One of the soldiers asked.

"Lose the cat and the old woman. I don't know why you brought them anyway."

"What?!"

"Our only objective was to bring the girl from the sickbay," one of the men reminded. Out of rage, Lisanna threw the body of the man she took out the retreating trio's direction. Luckily the noticed and dodged on time, but not lucky enough.

"Who's behind this!"Lisanna said in a very low tone and glared evil at the men.

"We're so dead!" An explosion like sound erupted from the highest walkway of the coliseum which surprising went unnoticed.

Elfman was not having the best of times. In fact, words cannot describe how much he hated the predicament he was in. In this one-sided match, Bacchus had hardly broken a sweat.

"You know, that night with your sisters is going to be amazing," Bacchus Taunted.

"Damn you..." Elfman muttered with one eye open, blood stains everywhere, and breathing heavily.

"Come on, Elfman! Stand up!" Evergreen shouted out to her secret crush.

"Grr...right!" Elfman stood up and lunged. "Beast Soul: Weretiger!" Elfman's body was now that of a anthropotic tiger. He began to swipe his claws at his opponent. Unfortunately, the opposing cerberus mage just kept slamming the male Strauss no matter what he tried.

"Elfman's attacks aren't landing at all," Gray stated.

"This guys weird movements are really making it hard for him," Lucy added.

"Bacchus's magic can be quite cumbersome," Erza decided to explain. "What it is relatively Orthodox magic. When used in sync with martial art skills, you can use that magic to its fullest potential since its main focus is to build up magical energy in the users hand." She crossed her hands before she continued. "Bacchus's fighting style is called Hanging Chop Fist, a form of marital art that use special stances for quick strikes," the scarlet head grew a bead of sweat on her cheek. "What's worse is that he's made some improvment, creating the Drunken Hanging Chop Fist."

"Alcohol?!"

"Yep. With the low rate of predicting the Drunken Flacon's moves as well the strength enhancement from said booze, victory is certain almost every time. That's isn't the bad part though." Erza looked towards the gourd on the arena floor. "He hasn't had a single drop of alcohol yet."

"T-that means..." Lucy gasped.

"He isn't fighting for real!" Gray gritted his teeth. Erza herself wasn't sure Elfman would win at this rate. She knew he's strong enough to hold his own, but against someone she herself had a hard time with, she had her doubts. Elfman was knocked down to the ground once more, this time with more bruises.

"If you're a man, you'll keep your word." Bacchus reminded.

Elf man gritted in pain. He got to at least one knee. "You know, I actually never agreed to the wager and mentioned my reward for winning."

"It's a little late for that, but I shall hear you out." The male Strauss stood up. "If I win, your guild has to change its name to Quarto Puppy for the rest of the games." The competiting cerberus mages had their eyes popping out at the wager.

"NANI?!" They all shouted.

Bacchus was trying his best to conceal his laughter. Just the mere thought of changing the name of Cerberus to a cuddily puppy was too much. "Alright! Its been finally decided!" He picked up his gourd and took a big drink.

"He drank alcohol!"

"He's serious about this wager."

"Brace yourself, Elfman." Bacchus got into a stance; but his movements were unusual. He lightly and slowly, but he left quick after images in his wake.

"Beast Soul..." a magic circle formed around the fairy mage as he activated his magic.

"It's useless!" In a blink of an eye, Bacchus striked Elfman and with that one strike, seven hits came along with it. Fairy Tail cringed and had faces of disappointment. They knew their comrade had lost. Bacchus turned around, hoping to see his opponent fall to the ground, until he noticed some pain. He looked down to his hands. "What the...my hands!" They were cover with brusies, cuts and small ounces of blood. He and the audience went wide eyed at the sight before them.

"Lizardman!" Elfman took on his most strongest take-over form, Lizardman consists of spike-like scales, a body of a anthropotic lizard with razor sharp teeth and claws.

'He had something like that?!' Both Mira and Erza thought in shock.

"If I can't hit you, I'll just have you hit me," Elfman said.

"That's quite the strategy," Mira said out loud.

"Yet it seems so unreasonable," Juvia added in. Elfman motioned his hand, telling Bacchus to come to him.

"Your hands, or my body. We'll see which one breaks first!" The male Strauss declared.

Bacchus, who had a slight face of nervousness, quickly shooed it away and replaced it with a determined one. "You're an interesting guy. My soul is really shaking now. Bring it on!" The cerberus mage lunged forward and repeatedly attacked the fairy image with brute force. Bacchus's hands might have been suffering, but his opponent was suffering more. Already covered in injuries from thw earlier barrages of attacks, Elfman's body was at his limits, bad enough the Bacchus was still able to break the hard, thick scales of the Lizardman take-over.

After what seems like forever, both mages stood exhausted and near the edge of fainting. Bacchus's hands were covered in sever cuts and blood, while Elfman was exhausted, sever injuries and sweat like no one business.

"You're...you're Elfman...right..."the Cerberus mage managed to mutter. Elfman fell to his knees.

"Its over! Bacchus wins!" Chapati announced. While the audience cheered, Fairy Tail held their heads in frustration and lowered their heads. After all that confidence and hope, their teammate still lost.

"You know..." Bacchus said before toppling over. "You really are...a man." He fell unconscious after that.

"Down! Bacchus is down! Elfman wins! Now Fairy Tail received ten points, for a grand total of twelve!" The fairy mages jumped and down in joy as in celebration the Elfman's win. Evergreen dropped Freed, who she had been suffocating during tge entire fight. His soul flew out of his mouth. Down in the arena, Elfman roared, proud and happy his sister were staying with him. Out of all the spectators, Phoenix Wing was surprised the most.

"Damn, N. Were all your guild mates this strong?" Mizuki asked.

N gave a light chuckle. "Yep. They're one stubborn guild. I'll tell you that. Don't know when to quit."

"I can see why you haven't given up on them." Hunter added in.

"To be honest, I wouldn't mind going a round with Titania now," Conner admitted.

"Conner-nii, I don't think it would be fair for her. Not with your undead ass." Icis retorted. Up on the highest point of the stadium, Lisanna witnesses her brother's triumph.

"Alright! I knew he could do it." Lisanna then turned her attention towards Wendy. "How are you feeling, Wendy? Any better?"

"Yep in fact, I'm ready to go at it tomorrow." Wendy said.

"Ah! Remember what I told you!" Carla reprimanded. "With that said, Lisanna where did you get the superhuman strength from? I never remembered you being able to run that fast and makes holes in the ground." The white exceed pointed towards the big hole in the ground.

Lisanna smiled sheepishly and scratched the back of her head. "Uh...its a long story." She looked down to her right hand and thought. 'Wow... this must be from the power boost N gave me. Looks like it doesn't just strengthen me magically, but physically too.' She herself was surprised at her new super strength.

"Say, what about the four from earlier," Porylusica brought up the four Anti-Magic Squad.

"Yeah." Wendy put a finger to her chin.

"Damn Raven Tail," Lisanna gritted. Brain storming the moment when the men revealed that Raven Tail who ordered them.

"That's not all," Wendy added her input. "One of them said they had to bring the girl that was in the sickbay. "Was" is past tense."

"There was one person. The one who brought you in, Lisanna."

"Lucy..." Lisanna answered.

"Its over," Kagura stated bluntly. She quickly defeated Yukino Aguria of Sabertooth's strongest celestial spirit, Ophiuchius. She rushed towards the female saber mage and in an instant, striked her with the sheath of her sword and ending the match. Yukino was too shocked for words she didnt react to the paid inflicted upon her.

"Finish! Kagura wins!" Mermaid Heel cheered while Sabertooth gritted at their loss. Kagura began to walk away before remembering something and stopping.

"So...your life belongs to me now." She reminded.

"Yes. I'll obey you," Yukino responded with tears in her eyes. After a few minutes the arena floor was cleared and it was time for the final match to being, but with a quick five minute intermission. With all the craziness, a beauty contest between Mira and Jenny, and an outstanding match between Mermaid Heel, one can only handle such fearsomeness. A good break is definitely in order.

"Erza!" The scarlet head turned to see Lisanna, Wendy and Carla walking towards them.

"feeling better, Lisanna?"

"Yep." Erza turned her attention to Wendy. "Well I must say. That guy did a damn good job of healing you."

"What?" Lisanna instantly became confused.

"That in the red hood came in the day of the starting day and healed me by giving get special form of medicine," Wendy informed while pointing in Phoenix Wing's direction.

"Really? See, Erza. I told you N was a good guy." Lisanna crossed her arms and gave her team leader an 'I told you so' look.

Erza chuckled. "Alright. I see your point, I shouldn't have judged him," however, she grew serious and remembered something. 'Still, a dragon slayer's nose doesn't lie. After what Gajeel smelled, we still need to be cautious.

"And now! It time for match 5!" Chapati announced. "Crimson Claw's Gilfer..." The crimson image was already down in the arena. "Versus...Phoenix Wing's N!" Fairy Tail went wide eyed. Sting and Rouge began to lean in, not wanting to miss a single minute and Conner and the other three looked at their team leader. The whole coliseum was silent.

'Oh crap...' all four phoenix mages thought in horror. N slowly put his hand from out of his pocket and placed it on the balcony rest. Then, he jumped out of the booth, shocking everyone in the process. Normally the height from the viewing sections and the ground was a good fifteen meters; a human would die from that distance. N curled into a ball and continued to spin and fall until he landed safely on his feet, but shattered a couple inches of the ground around him upon the loud harsh impact. The mages were taken aback and didn't how to respond. The hooded mage rose to his feet and slowly walked over to his starting position. No one dared to make a sound and all eyes; sepectators, judges and mages all had their eyes glued the the red clad phoenix mage. N got to his place and stared at his opponent. Gilfer was a man of above average height; exactly eight feet to be exact and was buff to the extreme. He had dark skin and black hair, covered by a white shirt and black leather trench coat. He wore black pants to match, brown boots and a massive twin bladed axe the size of himself.

"I hope you're ready to lose," Gilfer said as he pulled out his massive execution weapon.

"Funny. I was going to say the same thing to you," N retorted with his hands in his pockets.

'Oh no, he's serious...' the phoenix team shivered in fear.

Up where Fairy Tail B was, the team were all in their thoughts. "Time to see what Mr. Secretive can do," said Gajeel. 'The smell from back then though. I just hope doesn't try anything funny.' Gajeel still felt uneasy about N's presence, all because of a horrific scent from three months ago.

"Wonder what will come out of this fight," Laxus thought.

"Probably surprise us like the other two," Mira added. Jellal just stayed silent.

"Are the combatnants ready?" Chapati spoke in the mic. Both mages nodded.

"Alright then," the annoncer cleared his throat.

"Good luck, N. And please be careful," Lisanna said with a worry voice.

"Go get 'em, daddy!" Akiza about out to her father from the shoulders of Master Victor.

"Ready...Fight!" The bell was wrong and the match started. The audoence automatically made noise by cheering.

(BGM: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Mini Boss Battle)

Gilfer made the first move. "Constrictor!" The big man shout in a very deep voice as a ritual-like circle shot out of the hand he suck out. It hit N right in the center of his chest.

Thought it didn't hurt, N looked down to his chest unfazed.

"What's this?" He said uninterested.

"Constrictor is a equip magic spell. When attached to a mage, it denies them of any use of magic; wether from their own personal magic to magic weapons." The audience gasped. The other guilds were wide eyed, no such form of limitation magic has ever been used or heard of for that matter.

"Well, looks like Mr. rough and tough can't do jack now," Sting said. He was going to enjoy the red hooded mage get his butt handed to him.

'No. Something's up. I know he was able to dodge it,' both Gilfer and Erza thought the same thing.

"So I can't use magic. Big deal," the surprises just kept increasing. "I wasn't going to use magic anyway."

"Why not?" The axe wielding mage asked.

"Because I need to make this a fair fight," N taunted. The mages couldn't believe the words coming out of N's mouth. Phoenix Wing however; the guild and the competing mages were laughing hysterically, some holding their stomaches, falling over and leaning on each other for support from losing oxygen.

Gilfer gritted his teeth. "Bastard! Are you mocking me?!" He yelled angrily.

"No, no, no...(snicker) yes. Yes I am," N gave a cocky smile and continued his insult.

"Why you!" Gilfer lunged forward holding his axe over his head. He jumped and swong his axe straight for N's neck. People closed their eyes and awaited the death delivering attack.

"N!" Lisanna shouted.

CRACK

Eyes were poping out of sockets, people were frozen, and bead of sweat rolled down cheeks at what they witnessed. The blade clearly made contact with N's neck, but they didn't expect...for the blade to shatter. Gilfer was caught off guard and strategically jumped back a few feet. He examined his axe and was shocked to see the blade completely destroyed.

"...Ow," N said very low and gave a smile.

"What the hell?!" Sting shouted.

"The blade...broke...," Gray managed to get out.

"This impossible..." Erza muttered.

"What...what the hell did you do?" The crimson mage said angrily.

"Nothing. It just that my skin is actually ten times harder then that of a diamond. That's what you get for training under death-defying circumstances for several years. You strengthen your body and organs to become nearly impenatrable". N explained.

"Damn..." Gilfer put his hand over the remains of the broken blade. "Recover!" He swiped his hand and the blade instantly grew back. He put up his guard and face his opponent.

"Grr...take this!" Not thinking the first time, Gilfer swung his axe again, this time, for the top of N"s head. Bearly moving a muscle, he caught the blade in between his middle and index finger. Gilfer growled and swiped the blade away and swung again, only this time, the action was different. People saw both mages having a blade battle and N was swing something around, but because both mages were attacking a such high speeds, both of their movements were blurry and uneasy to see. The clanging stopped as they both did one final attack and a strong wind current blew from the impact of the blades hitting, but it was no blade. What it was...was N's single finger, which acted as a blade and stood on par with the massive axe. Audience members were falling out of their seats, mages were paralyzed with disbelief, shock and silence, sweat started to fall once more down people cheeks.

"The blade didn't cut?!" Chapati updated.

"No-no...that can't..." Gilfer could barely finished his sentence

"He just...used his finger as a blade...," Erza desperately hope it was an illusion she witnessed.

"My god...,"Kagura as well had no words to respond with. Gilfer jumped back once more and stared at his opponent, sweating of disbelief and with wide eyes.

"What the hell are you...?" He said slowly.

"Me. Well I'm just your average everyday joe," N responded. Finally he moved his entire body, something he hadn't done since the start of his match. His casual behavior of responding to questions, and even when is currently streching his limbs out really did a number of the people's comfort. N cracked his neck before talking. Well then, I'm tired of defending. Think it's time to go on the offensive." Gilfer gulped. In an instant something hit the crimson mage, confusing the spectators, then Gilfer was struck again, but this time with a count of sixty hits. Gilfer went flying, but sumersualted to gain back some footing, but was bit another ten times before finally being able to stand. All the while, N didn't move from the same spot, not even a muscle. Gilfer wiped the blood from his cheek.

"What the hell was that?!" Sting shouted.

"His movements. I can't read them," Erza gritted

"Damn you!"

"Oh, come on. Don't get mad", N said. "After all this is just a competition," he added on, but this time he was in back of him, he also didn't leave his original positions. There were now two hooded mages on the battlefield.

"Clone magic?" Gilfer thought out loud. "But I sealed off his access to use any."

"Maybe you did. Maybe you didn't," N said, this time to Gilfer's side. "We'll never know," he finished on the crimson mage's other side. Now four N's were present.

"I thought he couldn't use magic?" Lisanna thought out.

"He can't, but whatever he's doing is either negating the effect or he's using some form of tool, but he's moving faster than anything known to man I can't keep track nor read him," Erza spoke.

Golfer spun back and forth, trying to find out which is the real N. Having no patience, he stuck his axe in the ground and crossed his arms together. They began to light up with a green aura. "Wind Release!" He shot his hands out and; a violent wind current blew all around him. Women's dresses were flying up, people losing their belongings; everyone were just caught by the wind. After the spell resided, he was shocked to see the with d went right through each 'clone', but clones don't fade away, like these did.

"Afterimages?!" The crowd was stunned.

"Heads up!" Gilfer looked up to see N coming down, curled up into a ball and delivering a devastating Axe Kick to his head. Luckily the axe wielder just barely dodged it. The kick shattered the ground and huge chunks of ground and debris rose. Gilfer failed to notice N had appeared from the smoke and his left hand was envoked in a sky blue aura; in front of him with his glowing hand cocked back. "SOUL FORCE!" N's glowing hand hit Gilfer's stomach with a sonic boom sound that went off on impact. Gilfer spat out a huge amount blood on impact and was hit thirty five meters, crashing into the arena wall, spitting even more blood. Once again, the mages were shocked at the attacks N was using. Conner and the other three cringed at the very sight of the pain their team leader kept inflicting.

"Soul Force?!" Mavis gasped.

"First?" Makarov said.

"That move is a double edge sword!" The blond spirit explained.

"But I thought he can't use magic? How can he use it?!" Romeo spoke.

"He can use it because it isn't a magic attack, but a physical attack." Mavis had a bead of sweat on her face while the guild wide eyed.

Gilfer managed to get out of the wall he was sent into and walked sluggishly towards N, who was also walking towards him slowly and with his hands in his pockets. "What...what the hell was that...?" He gritted as wiped the blood away from the corner of his mouth.

N sighed "Every single time I gotta explain this. Fine. Soul Force is a very dangerous move. Based on how much energy one puts in the strength increases."

"But even if its not using magic directly, you still have no access to your magic energy due to Constrictor," Gilfer informed.

"I'm not giving magic energy." The phoenix image said, catching everyone's attention. "In order for this move to be used, I need to give my actual life energy," the crowd gasped; the other guilds were stunned.

"This crazy bastard!" Gajeel muttered.

"What's the deal with this guy?!" Erza thought.

"Damn lunatic!"

"Only a few know this technique and those that do are advised not to use for that very reason," Mavis said with uneasy face.

"And before you go asking why am I still standing; its because I simply trained myself to use this technique without giving a single drop of my life energy. Get to keep my life and use a overpowered move. What are the odds," N joked, shocking the crowd and mages once again. Even Mavis was wide eyed and lost for words.

"You're freaking crazy." Gilfer stated.

"Yeah. I'm crazy, but you're the one who's wielding that oversized axe used primarily for execution." Without warning, N grabbed his opponent, lifted him up and punched his chest violently. A chime filled the air and the impact created a wind current and destroyed some small parts of the ground. The crimson image was shot right into the sky, so high he couldn't be seen. Eyes were popping out of everyone's eyes as was hit about two thousand feet into the air. N wasted no time as he jump into the sky as well. He went past Gilfer and zoomed down towards him, spinning and delivered a powerful shin kick to the axe wielding mage's chest. He began to plummet.

"Gilfer will die if he continues to fall from height, he'll die!" Chapati shouted through the mic. Now Crimson Claw feared for their comrade's fate.

"Gravity Breaker!" Gilfer's body glowed in a green aura as his gravitational magic ended up slowing his fall. As much as it broke his fall, he still slammed hard into the ground, couching up blood and cracking the arena floor. The crowd was shocked to see N was floating in the air, Just like Icis did the day before. No one dare to speak as they saw Gilfer slowly rise from the ground, all bloody, bruised and dizzy. He couched some more and looked for his axe, which was all the on the other side of the arena floor. N slowly flew down to the ground and lightly planted his feet on it.

(Bachground music ended)

"Wow. You really are strong, N," Lisanna gave a small smile and stared in awe at her friend's strength.

"So, that's six broken ribs, two fractured shoulder blades, a broken arm, and you lost a good amount blood; how many times am I going to have beat you before you stay down?" N asked in a serious tone.

"N," the red clad mage turned in Conner's direction. "Come on, bro. You could've ended the battle from the start. Why are you toying with him?" The guilds tensed.

"To be honest, this is the most fun I've had in a battle in a long time," N shrugged. He then turned his attention back to Gilfer.

"Grr...how. How?! How are you using these techniques?! I cut off your connection to your magic. You still have the insignia!" Gilfer yell in anger and rage.

"Who said I was using magic?" The crowd and mages jaw dropped. "Every move I've made since the start of this match, are nothing but my natural physical abilities." That last explanation froze the witnesses. You being hit by the air, seeing multiple images of me, that was all my actually hitting you and afterimages of were I was standing with my hypersonic speed. Me flying, all by nature," N explained.

"You...you lie..."Gilfer said silently.

"Keep telling yourself that." Gilfer began to shake in fear. He had never met someone with these unnatural abilities. Then he slowly rose his good arm in the air and had a face of rage.

IV'E HAD ENOUGH!" A small ball of fire formed in his hand and gradually grew an enormous size, covering half of the arena floor. Gathering strength, he jumped high and was ready to Launch. "GO TO HELL! INFERNO SPHERE!" Gilfer saw nothing but red and threw the gigantic fire sphere at the phoenix mage. The crowd and mages gasped at the crimson mage's intention to kill N. Phoenix Wing grew faces of nervousness, but because of the incoming attack on their guildmate, but of something else...

"Aww crap..." N sighed as he let the incoming attack fall an envok him in its Giant flames. The audience gasped knowing he couldn't do anything.

The ball spill and cover all areas of the ground and only left a circle of ground of untouched for Gilfer to stand. He began to laugh loudly. "Who's the tough one, you inhuman freak!"

Lisanna gasped and covered her mouth out of fear and worry. She saw no trace of N. She leaned over the balcony support. "N!" She shouted with a tear in her eye. She knew no one but Natsu was able to withstand fire based attacks.

"He's done for," Laxus stated.

"After all that, that's how he goes out? What a drag," Gajeel scoffed.

"To be honest, I kind of feel bad he went out like that," Sting admitted. Everyone watch the fire spreed mike a disease, but the next couple of seconds were not what everyone expected to happen...

The area where N stood looked like it was sucking the fire in a spiral like motion. The fire all over started to make its way towards that black hole and every single flame was devoured. The everyone's surprise, especially Fairy Tail, they saw N safe and unharmed, and sucking up and swallowing the flames that tried to kill him. After a few seconds, the flames were completely gone and N let out a accidental burp. Gilfer stood horrified.

"Your excused," his entire guild said in unison.

"Thank you," he gave a thumbs up. Everywhere, there was silence. Everyone was wide eyed and lost for words. He then turned to Gilfer. "Your fire tastes like crap," he pointed out.

"He...he just...ate the flames..."Chapati managed to say.

"That can't be..."Yajima muttered.

"That's... impossible," Ichiya stated.

"No human is able to eat fire except..." Fairy Tail was frozen with all sorts of feelings.

"He...he just ate fire..." Makarov stated with disbelief.

"There's no way..." Levy said while still holding Pantherlily, who was also in shock.

"This can't be happening..." Erza was the only one said anything. Gray, Lucy and Wendy were silent. Lisanna however, was the most shocked out of anyone in the entire coliseum. Her mind was littered with thoughts.

"No...no this isn't possible. No one can actually devour flames expect...expect..." she was trembling with disbelief and shock. Think after a while, she put two and two together and her eyes were widened more. She covered her mouth and tears of realization and joy fell from her eyes. "...He...he's alive...after all this time...he's alive..."

Down on the arena floor, N sighed and held his hood. "Dammit. I really blew my cover, didn't I. Well, what can I say, fire just tempts me."

"N!" Said red clad image turned to see Conner looking. "I think its time, bro," he said. "Besides, kind of getting tired of call you by a freakin' letter. He deadpanned, making his team laugh.

N let out a chuckle. "Yeah. It is time. Isn't it?"

"Sure is, man," Mizuki added. "No why don't you reveal that handsome face of yours."

N looked up to see Lisanna looking down at him and crying her eyes out. 'If only we were alone. It would've been much easier. He took a hold of his trench coat.

"It's time you show the world what you're made of

...Natsu," the trench coat with the red hood came off and was thrown to the side, revealing a face of a man that had not been seen for seven whole years.

(To Be Continued...)

Hell yeah! Natsu's back everyone. Sorry for the late appearance. I had a lot of things to go through before that. Anyway, for starters, I know it was obvious for most of you (all of you because I know you're not dumb), but I did my best and very pleased. Its my first story, cut me some slack. I'll be honest right now. N was actually going to be Igneel in human form, but scrapped the idea for certain reason; also because I wanted to get Natsu in as fast as possible. Anyway, that's it for now. As for N, tell me what you think of him, should he be toned down, kept that way he is or boost him up a little. I feel like i made him too powerful and skillful. Tell me what you think and I hope you enjoyed a forst look at the new upcoming version of Lisanna and once again, sorry for the VERY long chapter. See you next chapter.
