Chapter 10

Wally was pissed off royally. The team were treating him different ever since they had found out that he was the reincarnation of the Green Lantern's greatest hero Nuallan and it was making him mad. He was still the same speedster only just having a new power. The team seemed to think that now that he had the power of a Green Lantern that he would be able to do anything but that wasn't the case. Wally wasn't going to be a Green Lantern, he was a speedster but the team didn't see that.

The only one that wasn't treating Wally different was Artemis and she was treating him just like she used to before she found out about him being a Green Lantern. Which was making Wally happy.

Normally The young speedster would be able to keep his emotions in check but one day they just blew up.

It was three days after Razer had come to Earth and had Hal Jordan tell Batman that the Blue Lantern was trustworthy despite his past. Razer was out exploring Earth with Hal in a disguise that made him look human while the team stayed at the Cave.

Wally was coming out of his room when he heard his teammates talking about him. Being one to want to know what his teammates were saying, the speedster hid behind a wall and listened in on the conversation.

"I just can't believe Wally is a Green Lantern!" Robin's voice was heard. Even though he had been told before by Wally, The Boy Wonder was still having a hard time getting used to the fact that his best friend was a Green Lantern and Wally never told him. In a way, Robin felt betrayed.

"I agree with you on that one Robin. But I know that some of you are going to say that he should have told us but he was also protecting us as well. You saw how powerful the Red Lanterns are." Artemis pointed out. She was defending Wally not because she had feelings for him but because he would defend her and she was the reason why Wally revealed that he was a Green Lantern.

"Still, Wally should have told us that he was a Green Lantern from the start." Kaldur said. Wally could tell by his tone of voice that the leader of the team was upset with him.

"I have to agree with Kaldur. This team is based around trust and Wally was always saying that we needed to trust each other more. I feel that he is a bit of a hypocrite for not telling us that he was a Green Lantern." Conner pointed out. The clone was the one that valued truth and trust out of everything. Wally was the one who taught Conner about being truthful in life. It hurt that Wally had lied to him.

"Conner, Wally did what he did to protect us." Artemis told the clone.

"It was still lying." Conner replied back.

Wally felt his hands turn into fists at the tone of voice Conner was using when the clone was upset about him lying to protect the team.

"I agree. I told everyone that I was a White Martian when the time came for it. Why couldn't Wally tell us that he was a Green Lantern?" M'gann said.

"Did you ever thing maybe that he was scared much like you were about revealing your true heritage, M'gann?" Artemis snide remarked back.

M'gann let out a gasp at not what Artemis had said but how she had said it. It was true that she was scared to reveal that she was a White Martian.

"The point remains that Wally lied to us about something this big and it almost cost the life of Artemis." Kaldur pointed out.

"But I am fine and we know that Wally's a Green Lantern so why are we still talking about this?" Artemis asked as Wally could hear the anger in her voice.

"Artemis, this isn't something as simple as keeping a secret about who took something. Lives could have been lost." Kaldur pointed out. "Wally had broken our trust."

Wally had enough of being talked about behind his back. Wally in a fit of rage stomped out from behind his hiding place and marched right over to where his so-called friends were standing.

"Is that what you really think? That I would put lives at risk because I wouldn't tell you that I had a Green Lantern Ring. Do you guys really think that I would be so irresponsible that I would put lives at risk?" Wally growled out at his teammates. He was pissed.

Everyone but Artemis had looks of surprise on their faces. They knew that Wally had heard every word that they had said.

"Wally..."

"Don't even try and explain yourselves." Wally yelled as he cut off Kaldur. "It's clear that my decision to not tell you that I was a Green Lantern in order to protect you was not something that you approved of. Well, guess what, I don't care what you think. Ever since you found out about me being a Green Lantern you have been treating me very different. You think that because I have another power other than my speed that you can treat me the way you are. Well, I got news for you. I'm done with the treatment that you guys have been giving me. To make matter worse you talk about be behind my back. You tell me that I have broken the trust that this team had formed. Well, trust goes both ways. I can't trust you guys anymore not to say degrading things behind my back. I mean, how do I know that you are being truthful with me about what you think of me." Wally growled out.

"Wally, it's not what you think!" Robin said as he tried to get his best friend to calm down which the Boy Wonder knew was a losing battle as Wally was known for holding onto grudges that made him made.

"Really. Than what does it look like cause I am pretty sure that you guys don't trust me because I kept the fact that I was a Green Lantern from you." Wally said in a angry tone of voice. "You know what? Forget it. I don't want to hear some half ass story about how you all are sorry for the what you said about me."

With saying what he wanted to say, Wally turned on his heels and headed for the Zeta Tubes.

"Wally, wait!" Robin yelled as he raced after his friend. Just as he was about to put his hand on Wally's should to stop him from leaving, Wally turned around and grabbed Robin's hand, flipped the bird themed hero over his should and onto his back.

"Don't ever do that again, Robin." Wally said in a voice that could make water freeze. Wally then finished his walk to the Zeta Tubes and left the Cave.

"Well, I hope that you are happy with yourselves. We may have just lost a teammate but even more you may have lost a friend." Artemis told the team as she headed towards that Zeta Tubes with the intent of following Wally.

Meanwhile in Central City.

Wally had Zetaed to his home town so that he could blow off steam. There was a park just outside of the city that Wally used when he was upset. It was sort of a peaceful type of park where people would come and just relax. Sort of like a zen garden. Wally was the only one in the garden

Wally came to this garden a lot when Young Justice was first formed and when Roy didn't join the team. Wally sat down on one of the benches and let out a long breath. He was so mad that his teammates would say something like that about him behind his back. It hurt so bad. Of all the people that were defending him was someone that he thought would never do anything like that. But then again the speedster had grown to respect the Greek named archer as a teammate and had feelings for the archer even if she didn't have feelings for him.

Suddenly Wally felt that he wasn't alone. The speedster looked up and he was right about not being alone. He was looking into the face of what he could only describe as a demonic angel that didn't look friendly.

Wally could see that she was smile but not in a nice way. The speedster knew that he was in trouble but wasn't going to draw attention to himself for fear of others getting hurt.

The demon angel seemed to sense that he would come with her without a fight. The demonic angel didn't say anything but Wally could tell just by looking at her eyes that he would need to follow her.

So Wally did just that. He got up from his seat on the bench and followed the demonic angel to where ever she was leading him. Something told him that she was a Red Lantern based on the color she wore.

Wally figured that since no one was around he could at least know the name of the female that was so called kidnapping him.

"So what's your name?" Wally asked as he followed the demonic angel alien to a spot where no one would see them.

"My name is Bleez if you must know Human." The Demonic angel replied without turning her head.

"Thank you for telling me your name." Wally said as he still followed the demonic angel like alien.

"This way human." Bleez told Wally as she led him to a abandoned building.

Wally knew that he had to be on his guard but he couldn't let the alien know that he was on guard. So Wally stepped into the building. The door shut behind him and all Wally was alone in the dark or so the speedster thought.

"Welcome, Nuallan."

Wally knew that voice as he had heard it so many times. The voice had belonged to none other than the leader of the Red Lanterns. Atrocious.

"First off, lets get one thing straight. I am NOT Nuallan. I am a speedster." Wally growled as the lights came on revealing the grinning face of Atrocious.

"Oh but you are. Only Nuallan would be able to have their ring shine as bright as you did that day." The Red Lantern leader said as he was talking about the battle where Wally had revealed that he had a Lantern Ring.

"No, I am not. I'm Kid Flash. The sidekick of Flash. I am not Nuallan!" Wally growled. He wanted to lose his temper but knew if he did that than he would be up the creek without a paddle. The speedster knew that he had to stay calm and not let the idiot in front of him make him mad.

"So you say. So you say." Atrocious replied in a tone that told Wally that he was being made fun off.

"What do you want?" Wally asked.

"I just want to talk. Nothing more." Atrocious told the speedster.

Wally knew that there was something going on but it wouldn't hurt to listen to what the big jerk was going to say.

Next chapter: Wally listens to what the Leader of the Red Lanterns has to say and makes a tough choice concerning who he is.
