AN: Hey. Sorry. It's been a hectic few days. We've been so focused on props and stuff for Little Shop during Art, and I got to see a class period's worth of rehearsals for it, as well. It's been interesting. Being the only Drama kid in my Art class, I've been freaking exhausted, because I'm being pulled a hundred different directions it seems.

Anyways, here's the new chapter. Teen Wolf has been killing me recently. Dear freaking gods...

To those who reviewed:

lenail125: Soon, actually. I've been planning on something like that...

SupernaturalCheetahFast: Glad you like it!
ArtisticAngel6: Glad you think so!

Music Inspiration: "If I could say what you'd like to hear, I'd whisper in your ear it's only temporary. But I've been taking you for granted. And I thought you'd feel the same as me, it's time that I come clean, but, but for now can we just both pretend to sleep?" -By Now, Marianas Trench

Enjoy.

The following few days were hectic for the pack. With school being the way it was for them, it stressed all of them out. None more so than Stiles, though.

Stiles looked like he was about ready to give up by the time Friday showed up.

Isaac gave him a concerned look as they entered school on Friday.

By the time lunch came around, Stiles was fed up with everyone. Including himself.

When Isaac caught his eyes as he sat down, Stiles shook his head silently, laying his head on the table.

Isaac sighed, reaching over to rub Stiles' back gently.

But the human tensed up as if he was expecting Isaac to hit him. It made the wolf pull his hand back in stunned silence.

Stiles caught Isaac's gaze only to see the hidden hurt lying within their depths.

The two didn't speak to one another until after school when they headed back to Derek's. Then Stiles tried striking up a conversation.

"So...how were your classes?"he asked. When he recieved silence, he tried again. "No? Okay... Um...anything interesting happen?"

Once again, his question was greeted with steely silence.

"Oh."Stiles said, voice sounding much more put out. "You're upset about lunch."

Isaac stopped walking and turned to look at Stiles. The weather was nice, so it didn't bother the two. But...this was a conversation that Isaac couldn't have while he was moving. It just didn't...he wasn't keen on it anyways, so he'd rather they be at a set place to talk. "Of course I am."he said, voice slightly bitter. "You acted like I was gonna hit you."

Stiles frowned. "I'm sorry.."he offered.

Isaac shook his head. "Why would you think that? I thought you knew better...I thought you knew I'd never do that to you..."he said.

"I just..."Stiles started, but then he met Isaac's eyes and knew he wasn't going to lie. "My dad called me."

Isaac's eyes widened in surprise. "What?!"

Stiles shrugged. "He's been known to do that from time to time."he said, half joking.

The rest of the walk was dead silent. It cut Stiles. Because he knew Isaac was still mad at him for what happened at lunch.

When they got home, Derek gave them both wary looks. "What happened?"he asked. "You two are later getting home.."
Stiles shook his head, heading to his room in silence.

Isaac plopped down near Derek and met his eyes. "His dad called him."he grumbled.

Derek raised an eyebrow. "What happened between you two?"

"He was acting like I was gonna hit him at lunch..."Isaac said softly. "I guess it just brought up some..."

"Insecurities.."

That night was one of the worst at Derek's. Isaac couldn't get to sleep, and Stiles couldn't stay asleep due to nightmares. Derek kept himself up worrying about the two.

When he heard the beginnings of the sobs he'd come to know as Stiles', he sighed and got up to see Isaac already heading to check on Stiles.

He paused at the human's door to see Isaac pull Stiles into a soft hug, murmuring softly. Derek barely made out the words in the dark, because Isaac meant it to be between Stiles and himself.

"Sh, it's okay...you're okay..."

Stiles shook his head, pushing against Isaac's grip on him.

After a while, Isaac let go of him and let him curl into himself.

After Stiles calmed a bit, Isaac started trying to coax answers out of Stiles. "What's wrong..?"

"You hate me..."Stiles said quietly.

Isaac froze, giving him an odd look. "No, I don't...I don't hate you. I could never."he said, shock radiating from his voice as his own eyes filled with tears that he refused to let fall.

Stiles met his eyes. "Promise...?"he asked, voice shaky.

"I swear."

That seemed to be all it took to undo Stiles again, but this time, when the tears stopped, Stiles was back to sleep.

Isaac kept a gentle grip on him. When the beta looked up to see Derek there, he sighed.

Derek shook his head. "Sick of him crying himself to sleep yet?"he asked.

Isaac nodded. But he knew, just like Derek knew, there wasn't anything they could do to help Stiles, because he didn't want help.

Here ya go. I gotta go, though. School tomorrow...ugh...
