Me and Lena have a party for Jenna's birthday too go too and it still makes me a little uncomfortable. I would never tell Lena that though. It's just most of her friends are lesbians, probably for a good reason, and i'm just not used too it yet. I'm still getting used too being with Lena myself.
"Hey you almost ready?" she asked me and she looked sexy. She was wearing a tight-fitting purple dress that looks amazing on her.
"I've been ready, you are the one that took so long" I said and she laughed.
"I don't look this good naturally" she said and I sighed.
"Yes you do" I argued and she smiled.
"Well thank you, are you sure you're fine with going tonight?" she asked. She has given me the option to bail since she knows i'm still a little uncomfortable.
"Yes I want too. I want too get too know you're friends and it should be fun" I said the past as convincing as I can muster up. She gave me a look telling me she sees right through it.
"Dancing just isn't my thing, besides no way I'm letting you go by yourself too this lesbian party I said and she laughed rolling her eyes.
"First of all they are not all gay just… 99% of them are." she said the last part quieter and I laughed.
"There are some guys there too and besides I have already dated most of them…" she said as if that wasn't worse.
"Thats worse." I said and she laughed.
"Honey where lesbians it happens, not like the dating pool is that big" she said and I rolled my eyes.
"Come on we are going to be late" she said and I got up and followed her grabbing my keys. I drove us too the party and walked in with her hand and hand. I have been trying to force myself out of my comfort zone a little bit more lately because I know she gets disappointed when I don't do things that normal couples do. She's used too, the looks and disapproval, but this is new too me. I'm not use too it. She will never say that she's disappointed in me because I know she wants me to go at my own speed but I can see it in her face. I hate too know I'm disappointing her. The second I took her hand she smiled at me and it made me happy that I made her happy.
Today I'm going to dance with her, because I know she wants me too. I'm not good at dancing and I'm nervous that I will miss up. We went around and talked too a bunch of her friends. We went over to Jenna and Kelly too go say happy birthday to her once she was surrounded by people.
"Happy birthday" Lena said hugging her.
"Yeah happy birthday" I said and she smiled at me.
"Thanks, i'm getting too old" she complained and I laughed.
"Aren't we all"
"Here" Lena said handing her the present.
"Lena I told you not to get me anything" she said and Lena smiled.
"Hey I learned that lesson the hard way, I'm not repeating it" she said laughing.
"Oh yeah it takes a while before being able to crack the secret code of women" Jenna said.
"Open it" she said eagerly. Lena gets overly excited at birthdays and holidays even if it's someone else birthday. She was more excited for my birthday than I was. I didn't want to do much and she was disappointed when I asked if we can just have a barbecue and have a few friends over and she didn't get too plan a huge party.
Jenna opened the box and took out a pictures from when they were teenagers. She hugged Lena and I didn't interrupt the cute moment.
"Thank you, where did you find this?" Jenna said and Lena laughed.
"You're mom helped me and of course." she said.
"Happy Birthday" Lena said one more time.
"Thank you, go have fun" she said and we went around and talked too some people for a bit. After a while a slow song played and I tried to keep myself from seeming anxious but I don't think it worked.
"Um... so…?" I said and she gave me a weird look.
"What's wrong, babe?" she asked and I smiled awkwardly at her.
"Nothing, do you want to… dance" I asked awkwardly and she laughed.
"Sure" she said taking my hand and moving closer to me putting her head on my shoulder.
"You know you don't have to do this, right" she asked and I nodded.
"I know but it makes you happy" I said and before she could respond I tripped over who knows what and we both fell over.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry"I said getting off of her and giving her a hand and helping her up.
"Honey it's ok" she said but I still felt tears in my eyes. I feel like an awkward teenage boy on his first date where he spilled her drink on her.
"No it's not" I said hoping to not sound like I could cry. This is so embarrassing, everyone is looking at us.
"Come on, babe" she said grabbing my hand and pulling me too the bathroom.
"I'm sorry" I said again and she stopped me by kissing me.
"It's ok, really." she said wiping the tear away.
"No I embarrassed you" I said and she shook her head.
"No you didn't, trust me I have been on worst dates. It's so sweet that you danced for me.I honestly don't care that you tripped." she said and I sighed.
"Lets go say happy birthday to Jenna and then head out babe. Maybe than I can dance for you" she said the last part giving me a wink and I laughed.
"Sounds good too me" I said and she laughed.
"You are so adorable" she said giggling and I sighed.
"Adorable? The same word you use on puppies and babies?" I said and she laughed.
"Yes I'm going with adorable. It's so cute that you got all embarrassed. On my first date I was so nervous that I spilled food on her. Which do you think is more embarrassing?" she said and I looked at her in disbelief.
"You?" I asked and she laughed.
"Yes me, when I was a teenager. We all have really embarrassing moments dating it's ok." she said taking my hand and we went to go say goodbye to Jenna and Kelly. We left and when we got home we had a little party of our own.
