How long has it been since the last update? Half a year I think. Well, I'm back and ready to write again! I'll also be posting more so stay tuned. New chapters and stories to come! ;) Animeeeeeee!
"All an illusion…" I mumbled to myself as I sat there in shock and horror at my newly gained knowledge. "Hey Lilac, Are you okay?" I heard Dan say, snapping me out of my thoughts. "It's all a big illusion." I said louder and clearer.
"What's an illusion?" Dan questioned, cocking his head to the side and raising a brow. "This," I waved my hands around me. "Is all one big lie. The ground isn't brown, it's purple."
"Have you lost your marbles?" Mira asked, her brows raised as well. "I haven't. It's just that.. touch the ground guys. It isn't hot, in fact, It's cold as ice." I replied, persisting with my argument. They all bent down, gently prodded the ground and drew back, looking back at me with realisation.
"My cousin has definitely lost her marbles." Wait… What? It was my turn to look at Dan questioningly. "Lilac, the ground is not cold, it's burning." He said.
I bent down and felt the floor. My fingers jumped at how intensely cold the ground was. "What are you saying, It's freezing." I insisted.
"Are you running a fever, Lilac?" Mira asked, raising her hand to my forehead. "I'm fine. Maybe you all are running a fever." I huffed angrily, scuffing my boots against the ground and stirring up the dust.
"Well, prove it. If you say the ground is cold and purple, show me evidence." Ace, the green-haired boy always hanging close to Mira, challenged. I furrowed my brows, looking for a way to explain. I laid my head against the boulder again, closing and opening my eyes. The same thing happened and the ground became purple once more. I squinted in the distance and just before the image reverted to normal, I caught sight of something.
A structure, tall and radiating pure evil, stood out in the distance. I could see the dark, forbidden entrance standing out against the cool grey of the structure's material.
The view became normal. I focused on where I saw the castle and realised that in it's place stood a Tall tree. Slightly gnarled and very tall, It was one of the only trees around. How had I not noticed it before?
"There. I saw a castle in place of the tree. If what I'm saying is correct and what all of you are seeing, and feeling, are wrong, then the tree will have an entrance and it will be a castle instead." I replied confidently.
"Let's go check it out then, better than doing nothing." Dan replied, still sending doubtful of my crazy descriptions.
We head in the direction of the tree, keeping a watchful eye out for anyone, namely any Bakugan, who was on patrol and would possibly want to kill us. We snuck across the desert, which unfortunately was plain and bare, hoping and praying to whoever ruled Vestroia that we would not be seen.
Thankfully, though, we ran into no mishaps on the way there. Sure there were some Bakugan about, but most were being slackers and we got past them with little to no problem. We did have to sneak past a bunch of Bakugan who were sleeping, and while doing so sleep talking. It was hilarious really, we actually responded to what they said in their restless dreams and they didn't even wake up.
The tree was towering above us, commanding immediate attention. There were no leaves on the tress branches, only the brown skeleton was left. Up close, it was very odd indeed. The tree bark was extremely smooth, and weird inscriptions were written on the walls. The were much like Egyptian Hieroglyphics, quite a wonder to looks at. The ran along the bark of the tree and up to it's branches, filling the whole tree with these bizarre symbols.
"I think it's a language only Bakugan understand." Ace voiced out, quietly but confidently. "I remember taking a short course on how to read these symbols and I'm quite sure our Bakugan can read it. I not advanced enough to read the whole thing yet, but one part of it says 'warning'." He finished and I looked down at the green sphere sitting in my hand.
"If we send out our Bakugan, those on patrol might notice." I whispered, running a hand along the carvings, fascinated. "It's a risk we have to take, Lilac, or else…" I continued running my hands along the wall, Dan's voice fading to nothing. My hand caressed the cool bark of the tree and brought my body with it, as if I was in a trance. I followed the symbols and walked toward the right side of the tree. Then, my hand came to a sudden stop before a strange circle. There was a pentagon in the circle as well as a star. Curiously, I placed my hand in the centre of the circle.
The circle lit up, spinning. Strong winds began to rage and dust arose all around us.
My body rose with the wind, my hair whipping in all different directions. The mark on my hand began flashing- red and white. Then, the winds subsided and the endless desert became a world of gloomy purple and icy winds. The tree before us went through a transformation, turning stone grey, exactly like what I had seen.
AND that marks the end of this chapter. It's great to be writing again, even though I really doubt that updates will be frequent. Thanks to anyone who is reading this- for staying with this story till this chapter. I've already got an end in mind but please be patient. I will finish this… one day. No guarantees though. Now disclaimer time!
DISCALIMER: I DO NOT-
Baron: Awesomestarz does not own Bakugan :)
Well, that was rude.
