The next day and Carla was awake after not sleeping at all. Peter walked through into her room where she was sat at her desk looking in the mirror.
'What's the matter?' Peter asked.
'I didn't sleep at all last night, she had me up all night kicking' Carla sighed placing her hand on her growing baby bump.
Peter smiled at his daughter growing inside the women he loved. He just took it in. He didn't want to lie to her but he needed to get rid of Tina for good and if seeing her will mean she leaves then that's a good thing. Right? He thought.
'I need to pack the rest of the flat up' Carla said starting to get up.
'No you stay there I will pack for you' Peter said.
'But you don't know what I want and what I don't'' Carla said yawning.
'Well you can tell me while I do all the work, how about that?' he asked.
'Ok' Carla smiled at him. They had done most of it; it was just odd bits left. They were moving in tomorrow and Carla was really looking forward to setting the baby's room up and making it her home. Peter knew he was in the spare room so she could decorate the bedroom the way she wanted it, not that she wouldn't if they were still together in that sense.
Later that Evening and it was all done apart from the bed. Peter left it up so Carla could sleep on it. He watched her as she slept peacefully. He couldn't go and see Tina. He had been an idiot, thinking he could hide this.
Peter: I don't want to hear from you at all. You were a mistake and I don't care at all about you. Please leave today happily knowing that there is nothing left for you here. Delete my number, I'm deleting yours. I don't want to hear from you ever again, move on with your life.
Peter text Tina.
He then deleted all traces of her on his phone and placed it on the side.
They had hired a van to help them move and Peter started taking boxes down and loading the van ready for the move tomorrow.
Tina was in her flat and just received Peter's text. She burst into floods of tears. How dare he. She was so upset and so angry. She didn't want to leave tomorrow knowing that they were happy, but she couldn't get anywhere near Peter as he doesn't leave Carla's side.
The next morning Carla awoke to the sound of voices. She got up and got herself dressed. She wondered out into the front room and saw Peter, Rob and Steve handling boxes and furniture.
'Morning' Peter said noticing Carla walking towards them.
'Morning, I see your already starting' Carla said smiling.
'Well I wanted to move things along' Peter said.
Carla looked around the bare room and sighed. Rob and Steve were now out of the room, both carrying boxes out.
'What's the matter Carla' Peter asked noticing her sigh.
She looked at the flat door and then back at Peter. 'I don't know, it's a mix of emotions' Carla sighed tearing up a little.
Peter noticed and walked closer to her. 'This flat has had so many good memories but also some of the worse memories of times I have ever had' Carla said letting out a stray tear.
Peter cupped her chin and wiped the tear away with his thumb. 'I won't let anyone hurt you ever again, you know that don't you' Peter said 'I promise you I won't ever hurt you again either'
'Peter I know when I'm with you that no one will ever hurt me like he did ever again, you make me feel safe' Carla told him. Peter pulled her into him, placing her head on his chest. Peter was happy that she felt safe with him again. That's what hurt him about hurting her, that she didn't feel safe with him anymore.
'I will always be here Carla, you me and this baby are going to be happy, together' Peter said 'I promise' he kissed her head.
Rob then entered the flat again and pulled a face. He hated the fact that Peter had won his way back into her life but he had to be there to support her. 'In your own time sis'
'Alright rob are we already' Carla said.
'Yes when you are baby' Peter said. 'I'll grab the last box and meet you down there.'
Rob and Carla walked out together; as she walked past that spot she grabbed Rob's hand. She turned around and looked back at what was her life. She took a deep breath and continued walking out.
Peter picked up the last box and walked out. His phone started to vibrate in his pocket. He placed the box on the stairs and checked his phone.
Tina: I know you have deleted my number so this is Tina. I will see you today whether I have to come to your new house. I know where it is and I want to say goodbye whether it's with or without Carla being there. I would rather she wasn't but it may be more entertaining if she was. See you later xx
Peter couldn't believe her, all he wanted was to be with Carla but he couldn't get rid of Tina. He placed his phone into his pocket and continued walking down the stairs. He was so angry with what he had just read that he was walking down the stairs a bit faster than he should of done and lost his footing making him fall down the stairs and bang his head on the banister at the bottom leaving him unconscious.
Carla and Rob were in the van waiting for him to come out.
'Listen sis you know I don't like Peter and I don't like that he is with you again, but if he is going to make you happy then its fine' Rob said.
'Rob, he makes me happy and makes me feel like myself I know that he hurt me but I think I'm beginning to forgive him' Carla said.
'I just don't want him to hurt you again, like he did last time' Rob said.
'He won't he has more to lose this time' Carla said 'Besides I know he loves me and I want to make a go of it, I will need lots of help when this little lady comes along and I want him by my side'
'As long as you're sure' Rob said.
'I am, he is earning my trust back every day now' Carla told him.
'What is taking him so long, its one box' Rob annoyingly said.
'I'll go and see' Carla said.
Carla got out of the car, slowly walking across the car park to the clear door to the flats.
'PETER' Carla shouted causing Rob to jump out of the van and run over to his sister.
Carla had ran over to peter, shaking him. 'Peter…..Peter….answer me'
Rob took his phone out 'Ambulance please' Carla heard him say.
'It's ok baby the ambulance is on its way, hold on for me, hold on for us' Carla tearfully said.
