One or two chapters left. Shout out to PonchoYKM for the review. Good guess, you'll find out if you're right soon.
Anyways, thanks for reading guys, here's ch. 11.
Tori slowly awoke, her eyes blurred and head pounding. The first thing she saw when her eyes finally adjusted back to normal was a small pool of blood on the floor of the car.
"Owww." Tori rubbed the side of her face tentatively. She felt a small gash on her cheek, still dripping a tiny amount of blood. Suddenly she remembered what happened. Ghostface swinging his knife and getting it stuck in the metal divider of the police car, Officer Smith driving into the tree, how close she was to going face first into the knife. She looked up at where the knife was, but it was gone. She turned to her right, hoping Jade was okay, but the seat next to her was empty. She reached for her gun but it wasn't in her waistband. Tori searched under her seat and around the back seat before she realized that someone must have taken it. She hoped that person was Jade. Tori quickly hopped out of the door that was open on Jade's side. She opened up the passenger side of the car and Officer Briggs slumped to the ground.
"Get up! Please get up we have to find Jade!" Tori wailed. She put her fingers on his pulse point. Relieved that he was still breathing, she shook him again. "C'mon man you have to get up!"
Officer Briggs still didn't react in spite of Tori's best efforts. Tori searched Officer Briggs for a weapon, but the officer didn't have his pistol. She stood up and kicked the tire of the car in frustration. The pain in her foot was quickly forgotten about when she saw a message scrawled on the windshield she didn't notice before.
The Final Scene Starts Now.
Tori got shivers down her back, and all she wanted to do was run down the road until she got back to L.A. But she couldn't leave Jade behind. Tori then heard a phone that was ringing in the front seat, where Officer Smith had been sitting.
"H-hello?" Tori answered hesitantly.
"Hello Tori." The raspy voice of the killer responded on the other end. "It's been a while. Get my message?" The voice taunted.
"Go to hell." Tori snapped back through gritted teeth.
"Whoa whoa whoa. Such strong words. I'd watch my tone if I were you, considering the company I have with me."
"Tori!" Jade yelled.
"Jade!" Tori's stomach went into knots. "Don't hurt her you psycho!"
"I haven't. Yet. See I don't want her. You're the star, I want you. But you better hurry up and get back here. I'm getting impatient." Tori then heard a thud as Jade yelped.
"Stop it!" Tori pleaded.
"Tori don't come back here! Run!" Jade ordered through the phone, then another thud.
"It's simple. You show up, she lives you run she dies!" The voice grew angry.
"Jade…." Tears started to swell in Tori's eyes before a realization came to her. "Wait… what if-"
"She's already dead?" The voice interrupted. "What if the voice you just heard wasn't real? Only one way to find out. See you soon."
Tori threw the phone into the woods in frustration. She tried to wake up Officer Briggs one last time and when that didn't work, she searched him again for anything to defend herself with. She actually found a taser in Officer Briggs' belt that the killer must have missed.
[...]
Tori stood before the huge building in front of her. She passed a car that was now it front of the building, and it was vaguely familiar, although she couldn't remember where she knew it from. She had to forget about that, as she entered this giant building. Tori stepped into the house, and realized that it wasn't as rundown as it was on the outside. It actually looked relatively nice. This confused Tori even more than it just being a random mansion out in the middle of the forest. To the right of the entrance was a living room, where Jade was tied to a chair.
"Tori! Tori!" Jade whispered.
"Jade oh my God you're alive!" Tori ran over to Jade and wrapped her in a hug, and for once, the goth didn't mind.
"Cut me out of here."
"With what?" Tori asked. "All I have is this taser!"
"He took your gun huh? He got my scissors too. Even the one in my boot." Jade took a quick look around the room. "Just find something! And hurry! He's still around here somewhere!"
Tori looked around and found a pair of scissors in a drawer behind Jade.
"Tori the doorway!" Jade yelled as Tori bent down to start cutting the rope that tied Jade's hands together.
Tori turned her attention and saw Ghostface standing there with his head tilted to the side. Tori stood up and fired her taser. The projectile hit Ghostface in the chest. Tori was elated for a moment, until she realized Ghostface was unaffected. She threw the rest of the taser at him, which was more effective. It hit him on the head and it stunned him. Tori took this time to pick up a metal poker that was near the fireplace in the room and swung with all the strength she could manage. The pointy end of the poker missed, but the handle didn't. Ghostface held his head as he stumbled backwards out of the doorway and into the hall.
"Holy shit!" Jade exclaimed while Tori returned her attention to freeing Jade.
"That taser didn't do anything. How did that not drop him?" Tori asked as Jade sat up from the chair.
"No idea. But that fireplace poker sure did." Jade said as both girls crept towards the hallway.
"Not long enough." Tori warned as she stood in the spot where Ghostface was supposed to be.
They heard footsteps from the room across the hall and bolted up the stairs. They crept into the first open door they saw.
"What the hell is this place?" Jade whispered as she gently closed the door.
"I don't know but it's huge. Who owns it, that's what I wanna know."
Both girls yelped as there was a bang on the door. They locked it then ran into the bathroom behind them, closing and locking that door as well.
"Hey! Girls it's me open up!" Officer Smith ordered through the door. Tori went to unlock the bathroom door before Jade stopped her.
"What?" Tori whispered.
"Do we really want to do that?" Jade asked.
"Why not?"
"Was he with you after the crash?"
"No he was gone when I woke up."
"Exactly, we have no idea where he was."
"I'm coming in!" Officer Smith charged through the door with a crash.
"Could you be any louder!?" Jade barked through the bathroom door, which Officer Smith had just walked up to.
"Listen I'm supposed to protect you both, let me do my job." Officer Smith argued through the door. Tori and Jade didn't move. "I'm going to bust this door down too if you don't let me in."
Tori and Jade pushed up against the wall to stabilize it and Officer Smith, a little weak from already smashing through one door, bounced off and fall backwards. Tori then swung open the door and raised the metal poker she still had from earlier while Jade drew the scissors Tori used to cut her free.
"Wait!" Officer Smith put his hands up. "Don't do anything crazy…"
Tori and Jade thought for a moment. Cooler heads prevailed and both girls lowered their weapons and took a step back.
"Thank you, geez... You girls are vicious. For a second there I thought I was a goner-"
Officer Smith was interrupted by Ghostface rushing into the room. The hunting knife hit Officer Smith in the abdomen, then Ghostface used the momentum to throw Officer Smith through the window behind them. Tori was stunned at what she had just saw, luckily Jade was aware enough to pull Tori with her back into the bathroom.
"Is he… is he-?" Tori asked shakily.
"I don't know, but we gotta go." Jade looked around the bathroom for a way out while Ghostface started to bang on the door. Luckily before Ghostface could break down the bathroom door, Jade opened a door to what seemed to be a closet, but it turned out to be a passageway to a small dark corridor. "C'mon!"
[...]
"Andre! Man what are you doing here?" Beck ran up to Andre. Both were on the third floor of the building.
"Oh thank God I found someone else!" Andre exclaimed.
"What happened to you?" Beck asked after seeing Andre's face. He had blood dripping down from his hairline.
"I don't know man. Last thing I remember was unlocking my car door, then suddenly my head is bleeding and I'm in this random house. What are you doing here?"
"I came here with Cat and Robbie. We got split up, and I've been searching around for them ever since. Tori and Jade were supposed to be here, since it's a "safehouse" for them, but I haven't seen them or any cops since we got here. Can't get a signal out here either. Then the crashes and glass breaking started, it doesn't seem safe here."
"Did you hear that?" Andre listened intently. It happened again, but this time they both heard the footsteps and they ducked into the nearest room. Beck peeked through the crack in the door and snapped his head away.
He's out there. Beck mouthed to Andre. Both looked like they were about to explode from the anxiety, but the footsteps finally passed.
"What do we do now?" Beck whispered.
"We have to go and find everyone else."
"Good idea, we'll all be better off together. On three let's just rush out and run the opposite way Ghostface went." Beck started to count down.
"Wait." Andre stopped him. "I just want you to know, that whatever happens, remember you're my best friend man."
"Yeah of course. You're my brother."
"Alright, let's do this. ONE, TWO, THREE!"
[...]
"Robbie I'm scared." Cat blurted as they wandered around the first floor.
"It's okay Cat." He tried to be comforting. "We just need to find everyone. They should be around here somewhere."
"Robbie! Cat!"
Both of them jumped as Jade and Tori came out from a door that looked like a part of the wall from the other side.
"God this place is like a god damn maze." Jade barked as she brushed herself off.
"What are you guys doing here?" Tori asked, all of them relieved to see each other.
"What do you mean? Beck said you told him to come here. So we'd all be safe." Robbie answered.
"Robbie I never called you guys." Tori revealed.
"Then who did?"
"I don't know. But whoever did managed to get us all here."
"Wait, Beck is here?" Jade spoke up. "Where?"
"I don't know, we got split up earlier. This house is huge!" Robbie replied.
"Thanks genius. We just spent the last twenty minutes traveling all over the house through these small tunnels and passages in the walls, so believe me we know how big this house is."
While the four of them conversated, Ghostface was creeping up on them. Ghostface broke out into a full sprint. He swung the knife wildly and missed as Jade and Tori jumped out of the way, but his momentum drove him into Robbie, who had turned his back to shield Cat. Both Robbie and Cat landed onto a bench, and to their surprise the bench gave way and they fell into a secret passage. Both Tori and Jade watched as Cat and Robbie disappeared out of sight.
"This place is a damn mad house." Jade spat, slightly annoyed.
Both girls looked around for the killer, but no one else was around.
"How the chiz does he do that?" Tori questions.
