~Sebastian's POV~
Sebastian pushed the elegant cart carrying Ciel's afternoon tea down the hallway as light poured in though the arched windows. It was definitely beautiful outside, the perfect weather to be out and about in the garden. He stopped at the door to Ciel's study, and knocked lightly.
"Ciel, I have brought your afternoon tea."
Only silence greeted him.
Sebastian opened the door slightly, peeking inside. "Ciel?"
The sight inside was shocking. Papers were strewn everywhere, and the window was open, causing the curtains to fly inside with the wild wind. Panic began to swell inside of the butler.
Where is he?
Where is my master?
What are they possibly doing to him?
I have to find him.
I can't let anything or anyone hurt him.
He's mine.
"This is—" he said out loud. "… Oh dear… How could this be…? And after all that, this tea is going to go to waste."
He glanced at the tray, and exited the study, contemplating a series of plans to find and rescue his precious master.
~Ciel's POV~
"You, the 'order' of the inghilterra underworld. Over many generations has your kind done the government's dirty work… You, the aristocrat of evil. Dissidents meet their end in the jaws of you absolute power… You, the guard dag of the queen. Tell me, how many aliases have you got? How many families have you ruined?" Ciel's captor rambled on as he lit up a cigar. Ciel refused to look up, not yet. He wanted them to think that he was still unconscious, to give Sebastian a chance to get there.
That is, if he would ever come just to save a pathetic little kid. There are other souls out there, after all.
"The king of the number one toy factory in the world is just a brat, in this situation. Isn't that right…? Ciel Phantomhive? A man should not be judged by his looks. Still… I suppose it does make sense for the king of the toy palace to be a child."
Ciel finally looked up, revealing his bloody face and determined expression. "So it was you. The Ferro family's… Azzurro Vanel."
Azzurro smiled cruelly, he large scar overwhelming his pierced face. "You know, little Phantomhive… Here, in your country, it is difficult for us Italian Mafia to conduct business. Very, very difficult. You Inglesi all have tea stains on your brains. Think about it. What do you think is the best way for people like us to make money? Not murder, not smuggling… Not women, not organs… That leaves drugs, yes? But once we arrive here, there was not even a whiff of mellow fragrance in this country—all thanks to the guard dog."
"It is by order of the queen that dealers and drugs are controlled."
"Oh dear, what a prude. There you have it! The reason I hate the Inglesi. Mama this! Mama that! You are nothing but a bunch of mama's boys. Still… At the end of the day, you and me, we are two of a kind. We would like to make some money with you if possible."
"I have no intention of colluding with a filthy sewer rat."
"So you say, but I wonder about the other fellows. Maybe they are just afraid of the guard dog, and are sitting tight for the time being… In fear of Ciel Phantomhive, sweeper of the dark. I was especially careful to not deal those drugs in Italy… So it surprises me that you find me so fast. I didn't think you would use Chlaus to get them. That is why, I am useless. Now. You understand what I want? If you tell me where the drugs are, I send you home alive… Little Phantomhive."
"If I fail to return, Chlaus will hand over the evidence to the government. Most unfortunate for you."
"ONE MUST NEVER LOOK DOWN ON ONE'S ELDERS… YOU SNOT-NOSED LIITLE NOBLE! I already have men over at your mansion. Where are the drugs? If you don't spit it out pronto… I SHALL KILL YOUR SERVANTS ONE BY ONE!"
Ciel looked at him, keeping his expression blank. Azzurro stared back, anticipating that he would start begging for mercy, giving him the exact location of the drugs.
That was not the Phantomhive way.
Ciel cocked his head slightly to the left, a smirk painted on his adorable face. "I do hope your precious pet dogs know their way around a game of 'fetch'"
That was the breaking point for Azzurro. He kicked Ciel hard in the face, knocking him to the ground. He then picked up the phone.
"You hear that? There was a breakdown in our negotiations. KILL THEM!"
Ciel remained still in his bounds, hoping that Sebastian would come.
A/N Hello! Sorry for the short chapter, but I want to save some events for later.
There is one main change from the original version of this arc, which really does affect the plot differently, so don't be thinking that it won't be original!
Perhaps another chapter later today? I have nothing better to do.
Thanks for reading!
