(Dream begin)

Fire fell from the sky raining down on a large city below. Explosions and screams of agony and despair filled the air, as hordes of undead rushed though the city impaling anyone and everything in their way. Buildings crumbled and fell. Undead dragons filled the sky with a dark foreboding red. Among them was a large dragon eclipsing the sun. It roared and shot down a plume of fire scorching everything in sight. The seas turned red with blood, and the moons began to crack and plummet toward the realms below. Finally at the end of it all the dragon let off an ear piecing scream.

(Dream end)

Spyro jolted from his sleep, cold sweat running down his from. Gazing around trying to distinguish what had happen, he was in his room, and around him a fire hung onto its last minutes of life, and cool brisk wind flew in from the fall morning outside. This caused the purple dragon to shiver slightly. Getting up Spyro felt his muscles in his left back leg cramp up and made him fall back onto his bed with a thud. Looking at his back leg, he found it to be in a splint and found his right wing to be bandaged up.

"Ah good to see you are awake master Spyro." a mole said coming in, with a roll of cloth under his arm.

"How long have I been out?" Spyro asked, as the mole came over next to him.

"Wing please."

"Huh?"

"Stretch out your wing, I need to change the bandages."

"Oh." Spyro let out his wing and let the mole do his work on it.

"To answer your question you've been out for two days, and if you're wondering Miss Cynder is out this morning in the plaza." he cut off the old ones and started with the fresh ones. "After I'm done here my boy, I'll inform your parents and the guardians."

"What exactly happened?" Spyro said aloud. "I barely remember anything." flinching when the mole pulled one of the bandages tight.

"My boy I wish I had that answer for you, but I don't. Okay were done with the wing. Now let's get that splint off." He quickly and cleanly removed the cloth and stick holding Spyro's leg. "Now can you move a little for me?" Spyro did as instructed and tried moving that leg and felt a little pain in it.

"It kind of hurts."

"Well that is to be expected, now you can get up and walk around now, but do not push it!" the mole doctor emphasized. To which Spyro could only nod. About fifteen minutes later the mole had finished his work and left Spyro alone, but this did not last as soon Spyro was going to leave the room he found Sparx grasping on to one of his horns crying.

"You fat purple dragon how could you worry me like that? WHY!" Spyro rolled his eyes at Sparx sudden appearance and over dramatic crying. Spyro shook his head intent of flinging his adoptive brother off his horns, and failed.

"Sparx clam down and please let go of my horn!" the dragonfly let go and tried to collect himself.

"I mean I wasn't worried about you purple boy." Sparx tried to resume his "cool" persona failing. "Anyway let's go get something to eat, you not looking to fat now, and if you aren't fat anymore I can't make fun of you!" Sparx said trying to ignore his out of character moment and make Spyro forget it as well. The dragonfly soon after offering to go get something to eat flew off ahead of Spyro. Spyro shook his head knowing that Sparx only did that to ditch him and try forget what he acted like for a minute. Spyro turned heel and went down the hallway heading for the outside of the temple.

Warfang city plaza district

Since Spyro couldn't fly, he had walked the entire way, which was rare for him in Warfang. On his way to find Cynder, he was met with countless greetings from Warfang populace. He also got a few passing flirts from a few passing dragonesses, which seemed somewhat strange to the purple dragon. As Spyro browsed through the plaza, many merchants hollered and called out to people on the streets, to buy their wares. The beats of hammers against steel and anvil sounded about, with the smell of molten metal filling the air.

Spyro had never really been in such a public setting. Most of the time he was either far away from towns or in the temple training, so being out of his element he was rather uncomfortable. 'How am I supposed to find Cynder in all this?' Spyro thought gazing around at all the different things in the plaza, not paying attention to where he was going and of course, Spyro knocked heads hard with someone turning the corner in front of him.

"Eh! Sorry!" Spyro said, shaking his head trying to get his barring's. As he did in front of him Spyro was met, with the sight of one of Warfang academy's more promising students, the pink dragoness Ember. As Ember figured out what happened, she realized who was in front of her, and she blushed a deep red at his presences.

"Oh! Master Spyro I'm s-s-s-so s-s-s-sorry I-I wasn't looking where I was g-g-going!" she shuttered rather harshly.

"No, its fine Ember, I was looking for Cynder and I really wasn't watching where I was going." Spyro said lightly with a slightly sheepish smile.

"Well s-since you're looking for her, I-I j-just left her company." she said finally fully collected herself and, still slightly blushing. "She's over in the west district with your mother."

"Thanks, but..." Spyro stalled for a second. "I never come into the city much, could you show me the way there?"

Her blush increased somewhat. "Sure!" she chirped. "This way!"

While they were walking along Spyro, notice that ember was giving him several nervous glances.

"Is something bothering you Ember?" Spyro asked.

"Well, in a sense." she replied, coming to a stop, Spyro stop beside her, waiting for an answer.

"I was just wondering, dose Xelo have a mate yet?" she asked shyly. Spyro completely caught off by the question. He had no idea, how to response to it.

"We-l, i-i-i can't say I can answer that!"

The pink Dragoness sighed, then after a quick apology, pointed Spyro over to where Cynder and his mom were at last. Spyro managed to make it over to the location, as they were leaving.

"SPYRO!" Cynder ran over to him embraced him with her wings. "Why are you out bed!" she said with worry.

"Its fine Cynder, the doctor said I was fine to walk around just not to fly." he said trying to quell Cynder fears.

"It's good to see you awake and well my son!" Flarera spoke with joy, seeing her son well.

"It's good to see you to mom!" he replied. "What are you two even doing out here?"

"Well, Spyro a messenger came by the other day, and announced that queen Isis would be visiting Warfang by the days end today."

"Queen Isis? Who is that?"

"I'm sorry I forgot that you know little about that subject Spyro." Flarera said laughing a little. "Anyway since your here Spyro why don't you go with Cynder, to get outfitted with the ceremonial armor" Flarera suggested. "Now if you excuse me I have something to attend to." With that said and done the fire Dragoness left the two young dragons to themselves.

"Well let's get going then Spyro!" Cynder said.

"I guess." was the only thing Spyro managed to say.

Holding cell deep below Warfang.

Down below sat a crystal ensnared Ryuujin, the crystals ensnaring him ran black with the corrupted power, being drained away from him.

In front of the corrupted dragon sat his mate Gaia, putting all her energy into draining the dark power out of him.

"It doesn't matter how hard you try!" Ryuujin flinched as more energy was drawn away from his corrupted form, in all reality the corrupt Ryuujin was losing power and all he could do now was taunt and put doubt into the Dragoness, but no matter what he did, the Dragoness was dead set of ridding him from Ryuujin. The dragon's body began to turn transparent, visibly show Ryuujin at the core of the corrupted body of dark Power.

Gaia smirked. "Ryuujin is gone huh? I knew you were lying!"

The dragon began to grow wary as the final ounces of powers were drained away. "You will pay for this!" he muttered out before he faded away into the crystals. Now that the power that was suspending Ryuujin in the air was gone, Ryuujin fell onto the ground, which was unintended by Gaia. The earth Dragoness rushed over to her mate. Luckily the dragon was unharmed and only unconscious.

Nearby the black crystal that contained the dark power began to crackle.

Back with Spyro and Cynder.

"You look great Spyro!" Cynder said. The purple dragon of legend was wearing a variation of the gold trimmed armor he had worn when they fought Malefor.

"I guess, but when did dragon armor cover this much." speaking of the added chest plate and back leg guards and the extra plating on the tail.

"It's ceremonial my lord, not practical!" the mole said who was fitting Spyro for his armor.

"Sorry it just feels so constricting." he shifted uncomfortably in the armor.

"Oh just deal with it for now please Spyro of course you'll get to see mine in a bit." Cynder said, Spyro sigh and succumbed to the purple dragonesses wishes.

When it came to Cynder turn for her fitting, she wore a variation of reddish metal light armor. Much similar to Spyro's, a chest plate and back leg guards were added. The Dragoness smiled at the armor, which made Spyro smile as well. Over the month that they had been back, Spyro had noticed slowly but surely, Cynder was beginning to let go of what Malefor had made her do, and was starting to stop blaming herself for what happened, and was starting to enjoy a near normal life, aside from being mate to the current purple dragon of legend.

Suddenly Spyro head began to hurt horribly, the room around him disappeared. Around him fire fell from the sky blood ran across the fields around him, and out of nowhere a shrill unholy screech filled his ears.

Seconds later the hallucination was gone and the once blood stated fields changed back to the tiled flooring. Spyro found himself laying on the floor on his side, with a worried Cynder standing over him.

"Spyro what happened?" asked Cynder with worry.

"Uh, nothing, it's nothing." Spyro said not really sure of what happened himself.

"Are you sure?"

Spyro quickly snapped back to reality and smiled at his mate. "Everything is fine. Like I said, it's nothing Cynder." After that they finished up and had the armor delivered to their quarters at the academy. Currently both were walking along one of Warfang many streets.

"So Spyro do you know anything about the queen who's coming tomorrow?" Cynder asked.

"Not really?" Spyro told her. "Honestly I barely know what one is."

"Really Spyro?"

"Did you forget, I grew up in a swamp and that for the first nine years of my life I thought I was an oversized dragonfly?"

Cynder could only smile at that response, as they walked onward.

In a far off desert. 1 hour earlier

Among the shifting sands of the forgotten past, bards and shaclors talk of a once great kingdom, before it fell to a great darkness, now all that remained were ruins. Pillars rose out of the ground leaning and stand tall testing time itself. Above these a huge Coliseum like structure rose above everything else. Deep inside a figure sat upon a throne tapping his finger against it.

"I should've known that dragon couldn't draw out his power fully like we needed." It said in a hollow voice in the darkness.

"I what you to go do what Flame couldn't, draw out the power that lies within his being. Agree to this you can have your freedom." in front of him a sword laid stuck into the ground bound by simple rope tagged with ancient seals, the sword shook a little and pulsated. The figure on the throne smiled. It raised its hand and simply waved it in its detection. The rope and paper seals caught fire quickly burning away. Free of its prison, the sword ripped itself out of the ground and zoomed out of the ancient ruin and across the desert leaving a wall of shifting sand in its wake. Behind the throne a cloaked panther holding two inorganic looking daggers move to the side of the throne.

"Ah if it isn't the masters pet, to what I'm owed this honor." he said sharply at the panther. And quickly found one of the daggers jabbed into his chest.

"AAAAAAAARRRRRRRGHH!" he screamed as it was twisted around slicing through bone and flesh. "ARH!" the panther pulled the blade out violently. He twitched and his breath haggard. Blood dripped from his month and splattered across the floor, as the wound began to heal itself.

"hehehehe!" the panther chuckled darkly. "You're lucky my master needs you so badly" he state while watching it throws up blood, "you bastard, I curse both you and your master for my enslavement!" he nearly yelled out coughing up a stream of blood in the process.

"HEHEHEHE!" the panther laughed darkly, at his plight "anyhow, the master has a new job for you regarding his return." he causally said.

"Fine, tell me... what it is then leave!"

"My, I'm I really that horrible? Heeheh of course I am!" smiling darkly he got back to the subject. " Find the twilight mirror."

Back with Spyro

"Anyway a queen is basically the female ruling position of a territory, and the male ruler is a king. From what your mother told me earlier today, the kingdom that Warfang is a part of is Esricith, and Esricith is a part of the dragon empire which so are made up of four other Territories, Jennu, Cayosin, Aurix, and Rach. All of them are vassal territories for, the dragon emperor. It's really as basic as it sounds, the queens just a very respected figure here.

"Hmm." Spyro took it all in, until something caught his eye. Up ahead standing in broad daylight, was a horrible looking imagine. Standing before him was a creature standing around seven feet tall with a decay face with two horns sticking out of the side of its head. It had sharp long teeth, and was wearing a torn black robe. In its hand it held a black clever like sword with red runes running on its side. It slowly rose up its left arm and pointed directly at Spyro with its boney finger, and then raising its blade the monster lunged at Spyro with
