Silvia starts calling names and handing out the mail, and that cools the tension in the air between us girls. When I get my letter, well, letters, I eagerly run up to my room to read them.

I get one from my parents, just the same old, win, win and win. When I get to Liz and Angie's letter, I literally rip it open and devour their words.

Angie got asked out by that boy who we all agreed liked her, he seems sweet, and they had a good first date. Liz was on the road to going to New Asia for the World Games.

See, after America was destroyed, Gregory Illea decided to stop the Olympics from happening anymore. Many people weren't happy with that decision, and so to appease the people, Gregory made a deal with New Asia, which continued to have the Olympics, but changed its name to the World Games. New Asia hosted the New Games every 4 years, and let every country participate, the country who got the most medals received bragging rights for 2 years, until the next games, either winter or summer, as well as a ball in their honor in New Asia.

Winning was a big deal, just not in Illea.

Fewer and fewer people made it to the Games each year, so Liz trying out for the swim team, was big news. The last time Illea won the games was during Gregory Illea's time. He was very competitive.

I was very proud for Liz for trying out, and I hope she makes it! If she won gold, she'd be hero in Illea.

Even though Illea wasn't much into the games, a person that beats and humiliates another country, was always a hero.

Illea hasn't won a medal in a while. The last one was a few decades back. And it was a girl in the Summer World Games, gymnastics. Her name was I think, Mackenzie? And I think that she won bronze.

Her status was a five before, she was in the acrobatic business, but the monarchy was very impressed and bumped her up to a three.

Liz couldn't go any higher if she did get a medal, but the fame she would receive! I was jealous a little actually. I had beauty and talent as a model, but that wasn't a special talent.

I envied people like America Singer who had many talents and could do them for their whole lives.

I didn't even want to think about what would happen when I got too old for modeling.

Hopefully, by then, I'd have enough money saved up for early retirement. Hopefully. But still, I would miss modeling.

Shaking it off, I push those melodramatic thoughts away and finish their letter.

Liz and Angie believed in me, they knew I would win, good luck at tomorrow's interview on the report, be careful of the other girls, all of that.

Smiling, I quickly get to work answering.

When I'm done, I seal the envelope shut and walk to the mail room, hoping to see Bridgette again.

I'm disappointed when I enter the room and she's not there.

I put my letter in the box and walk out.

"Celeste!" A voice calls panicked behind me.

I whirl around. It's Jodi and Sarah, supporting a drunk looking Kathy.

Jodi has tears streaming down her eyes. Huh, she's usually the tough one.

I jog over to where they are.

"Oh my gosh, what happened, is she ok!?" I ask eyes wide.

"Kathy- Kathy got a letter this morning from home, we didn't pry, but when we went to get her to go and assist you, miss, we found her half dead on the floor with a bottle and the letter!" Jodi whisper yells.

"Her brother died." Sarah says to my unspoken question, "Her twin brother."

"And if anyone finds her like this, she'll be tossed on the street!" Sarah wails. "For stealing the bottle of liquor, and for breaking one of the code of conduct rules of being drunk and unable to perform duty by choice!" She cries.

Determination sets in in my face.

"Come on girls, carry her to my room, we'll hide her there." I say.

Jodi whispers her thanks to me.

And we set off to my room, hopefully without being seen. We drop Kathy on the carpet next to my bed and while Jodi and Sarah tend to her, I say that I'm going out for a while.

Seeing Kathy like that reminds me that this is exactly what I'm supposed to not do. My parents would tell me to tell on her straight away. She did treat me badly at first, but who am I to toss someone out like that, after her twin brother just died.

I go to the foyer and sit on the small couch there, having an internal struggle in my brain.

A hooked nose woman walks by me and when she sees me she immediately back tracks.

"Miss Celeste?" She asks.

"Yes." I say tersely.

"Forgive me for intruding, but were you not just helping Maid Kathy while she was drunk?" The woman says horrified.

"Who are you." I ask snapping.

"Ah yes, forgive me again, my name is Agatha Brown, head of cleaning and all of the maids here, your parents told me to look out for you, so I would like to give you some advice." Agatha says self importantly, sitting down next to me on the small as it is couch.

"Your parents, is they were here, would tell you to turn Kathy in, it's your duty. How could you protect someone like her! Besides, do you really want a drunk and hung-over maid taking care of your appearance? Plus, if you do get caught hiding her, you'd get into some trouble." Agatha says talking to me as if I were a dense model.

By then I've made up my mind about what I was going to do.

"Thank you for you help Miss Agatha." I say coolly, "But I think that for once in my life, I'm going to try and be nice by helping someone in need." I say coldly.

Agatha's eyes flash for a second, and then disappears.

"I was only trying to help you child, so don't blame me if you get caught." Agatha says rising.

Bowing to me, she leaves, leaves me with a burning feeling of shame, but I was not going to turn Kathy in, no indeed. I stay on the couch for a few more seconds, and then walk slowly back to my room, tears pooling up in my eyes for no reason at all.

When I reach my room, there are a bunch of guards there, and wails and screams from inside.

My eyes widening, I try to get past them, but 2 guards hold me back.

"Sorry miss, but there is a problem in your room, sorry for the inconvenience." One guard says apologetically.

No! I wanted to scream, I wanted to yell, but I was a lady, and I didn't think that it would help.

Kathy is carried out of the room, a guards hand over her mouth, but it doesn't matter, because she's unconscious, fresh vomit on her dress.

Sarah is kicking and screaming trying to get to her, but Jodi is holding her back, knowing that Sarah reaching Kathy wouldn't help anything.

The guards release me when Kathy is out of sight.

I run into the room to Sarah, who's now weeping freely, and Jodi who's crying as well.

Jodi's eyes blaze when I reach them.

"How could you!" She screams, kicking the door shut.

"Why! Why would you do that! She's going to be fired now!" Jodi says, her hands clenching into fists by her side.

"What? But I didn't do anything!" I protest.

But Jodi is having none of that, "You leave all of a sudden, and when you come back, there are guards taking Kathy out!" She says her teeth clenching.

I'm mad then. "I didn't tell!" I yell back.

Jodi laughs sarcastically. "You know what!? I'm tired of your princess attitude, you just have to get whatever you want, don't you!" She says in my face.

But I really didn't do it! It must have been Agatha.

"I didn't tell!" I say angry that I wasn't being believed, "And I'm shocked that you're speaking to me like this! You're the maid here, where's your respect!" I say shocked that she would jeopardize her job for this. Jodi usually was calm and rational.

"Fine then! Get me fired just like poor Kathy! Or you know what! I'm done! I quit being your maid, come on Sarah, you little, you little, spoiled brat!" She spats.

At that, I snap. I slap that stupid unbelieving bitch right across the face.

Jodi glares at me and tries to tackle me but Sarah's arms come around her as restraints.

Glowering at me, Jodi stalks out of the room, she slams open the door only to halt when there's a figure standing in the now open doorway.

Oooh! Who do you think it is! And do you think that Jodi is going to be fired for what she said to Celeste?

Tell me your thoughts in the reviews!

Do you know what I've noticed?

2 things actually,

1) When I write dialogue, I tend to make the face that I want the character to make while speaking, to get the feel of what I should write that their reaction is. Do any of you writers do that too?

2) When I finish a book that I really enjoyed, I tend to name characters of my own after them.

Bridgette after Anna and the French Kiss's Bridge. And Agatha from Fangirl's Simon Snow Agatha.

So yeah, tell me if you do any of these two weird things in the reviews! Thanks for reading!

p.s. I was wondering, if you read both of my stories, which one do you like better?
