Someone Care ch. 11

"You know what they say the best things come in small packages" Hinata said smiling.

Naruto rolled his eyes at her when the front door opens. The two of them froze in that instant to only see that it's only Nico. Nico was surprised to her best friend and Naruto in a comprising position.

"What the hell is going on here?" Nico asked frowning.

"Nico-chan, it's not what you think. We fell asleep on the couch" Hinata said blushing.

"Yo, it's nothing of my business… did you use protection?" Nico whispered into Hinata's ear.

Hinata was blushing like a cherry and Nico was laughing her butt off. She knew that Hinata wasn't going to use her virginity anytime soon but it doesn't mean Nico wasn't going to tease her about it. Hinata smacks her on the arm. She hates it when Nico does that to her.

Nico knows that Hinata doesn't want to lose her virginity until she found the right guy. Naruto rolls his eyes because he wasn't planning on sleeping with Hinata. He looks at Hinata and she looks back at him and smiles. Maybe having Hinata as a friend won't be so bad. Nico looks between them and is confused on what's going on.

"Oh Nico-chan, how was meeting Ino's parent?" Hinata asked curious.

"Surprisingly well, if you can believe that. Ino's mom likes me and her dad… he practically threatens me but he's okay with our relationship. So everything is cool" Nico said leaning against the back of the couch.

Naruto's phone started vibrating and he looked at the caller id. It is Kyuubi and he knew that his brother was pissed off at him for not coming home or calling home. Naruto rolled his eyes and decided to not answer it. He didn't feel like playing 21 questions with him and it was none of Kyuubi's business to know where he was at 24/7.

Hinata noticed that Naruto wasn't answering his phone and reached his phone. He swatted her hand away but she still reached for it. Naruto grabbed her hand and Hinata smirked at him. She used her other hand and Naruto grabbed her other hand. The both of them started wrestling each other while Nico decided to answer Naruto's phone.

"Hey Kyuubi-kun" Nico said smiling.

"…"

"Uh-huh" Nico said nodding her head.

"…"

"Uh-huh"

"…"

"Uh-huh, I'll tell him" Nico said hanging up Naruto's phone.

Nico turned around and saw interesting sight. It was the couple on the floor with Naruto on his back with his hands above his head and Hinata sitting on his waist, holding Naruto's hands. Naruto's face was a bright red color and Nico wanted to bust out laughter at his embarrassment but pulled out her camera. She was going to take a picture to blackmail them later and to poke fun.

The couple noticed the flash and Hinata's face turned red as Naruto's face turned to a cherry red. Hinata got off of Naruto and he sat up rather quickly. Nico giggled as Naruto tried to grab the camera from her but she was faster than him. She made a run for the door and the blonde groaned a little. He doubted that Nico will show the picture to people except maybe Ino but he was going to get the picture from her one way or another.

Hinata has her own plan of getting the picture and a way that might actually work. She got up from the ground and walked towards the dryer to get Naruto's clothes. They were good and dry and smelled like iris spring. Hinata handed them to Naruto and he got them. He changed into his original clothes and saw Hinata sitting in a recliner with a book in her hands.

She was wearing glasses and Naruto chuckled a little. He thought that she looked a librarian a little bit. Naruto walked over towards her and sat in the armrest. He was curious on what she was reading. "What are you reading?" Naruto asked curious.

"I'm rereading the Hunger Games: Catching Fire. I wanted to read again before watching the movie" Hinata said smiling.

Naruto heard of it and saw the trailer for the movie. He was curious on the movie going since he watched the Hunger Games. He liked movie and the leading actress. If the sequel was good, he would read the series.

"Umm would you… um mind going… to see it… w-with me?" Naruto asked rubbing the back of his neck.

Hinata was caught off guard by his question. She wasn't expecting him to ask her out… again. What brought this on? It didn't matter to her because she wasn't going to let it pass her up. Hinata was going to use very opportunity that comes her way and use them to her full advantage. She really likes Naruto and wants to know why he's keeping her at a distance.

"I would like that. When do you wanna go" Hinata asked smiling.

"How about Friday?" Naruto asked shrugging.

Naruto was surprised that he asked Hinata out. What was coming over him? He wasn't too sure himself but he feels different when he's around Hinata. That he could look on the bright side of things and the world isn't so bad. Naruto shook his head and looked at Hinata.

"Sounds like a date. Friday, it is" Hinata said closing her book.

She walked into her room and changed her clothes. Naruto smiled little bit and Hinata walked up to him. The silence fell between them and it was slowing being awkward. Naruto has never been to a girl's house and was too sure of what to do. He wasn't sure if he should stay or not. He was going to see her later tonight at the ball but that wasn't for another few hours.

"Naru-kun, can I ask you something?"

Naruto snapped out of his thoughts. Hinata had a serious look on her face. He wasn't sure of he liked the fact that it was pointed at him.

"What's up?"

Hinata wasn't too sure of how Naruto would react to her question but she wanted to. He could react badly and storm out of her house or he could just answer it. She wasn't too sure but it's been a burning question over the last weeks.

"Why you do seem to have a sad expression on your face? I know you try to hide it behind a mask of indifference but I can see right through that. Why do you wear the mask?" Hinata asked curious.

Naruto sighed. He knew that she was bound to ask. She was different from other people because the mask fools just about everyone that he comes in contact with. Naruto didn't want to explain to his situation to people because he doesn't want people's pity. He isn't someone to pity because he's doing just fine and didn't need anyone's help. Naruto knew that this was bound to happen but it was time that he opened up to someone and he felt that he could do that with Hinata for who knows why.

"The mask is to keep everyone from seeing the pain that I keep inside. I lost my parent due to a freak accident about 9 years ago and the doctors were able to save my sister. My brother and my godfather Jiraiya raised me for the most part but I still hold to the pain because I'm afraid. I'm afraid to let the pain because it I let it go, I'm letting my parents go too" Naruto said shaking.

Naruto had tears streaming down his tears. He has held in the tears for so long that they were finally coming out. Hinata was shocked that Naruto had been through so much and it hurt her as well. She didn't Naruto to be in pain because she lost her parents as well. Hinata knows what it's like to not have a parent's love until she met Kurenai.

Naruto went longer without his parents and was struggling with letting the pain go. Hinata wanted to help him get through this as a friend and a confidant. She grabbed his cheek and made him look at her in the eyes. He needed to hear this from someone that cares about him and knows what he's going through.

"It's okay to be afraid, Naruto-kun. It's what makes us human and I know what you're going through because I lost my parents too but we both have people that care about us and want us to happy. Let the pain go isn't the same as letting your parents. They will stay with you in your heart and they would you to be happy" Hinata said rubbing Naruto's cheek.

Naruto smiled a little bit. He believed what Hinata was telling him and decided to let pain go. Naruto knew that parents wouldn't want him to hold onto the pain and to live his life. Naruto was glad that he told Hinata his secret and hold that she'll stay by his side. He wiped his eyes and hugged Hinata tightly. Hinata was surprised by the hug but accepted the hug nonetheless.

"Thank you Hinata for everything. Will you help me let go?" Naruto asked awkwardly.

Hinata felt honored that Naruto wanted her to help him.

"Of course I will, Naru-chan" Hinata said smirking.

"Hey! You promised that you wouldn't call me that!" Naruto said glaring at her.

"I made no such promise"

Naruto glared at her and poked her side. Hinata laughed a little and Naruto saw this and smirked. An idea popped into his head and started ticking Hinata mercilessly. Hinata couldn't help but laugh as Naruto continues his assault.

"Say mercy! Say mercy!" Naruto said smirking.

"Mercy, mercy! I give" Hinata said in between laughs.

Naruto stopped with a triumph grin on his face. Hinata was catching her breath and was plotting her revenge on the unsuspecting blonde. She will have her revenge and it will be sweet but Hinata has to plan it good and carefully.

"I better get going before my brother calls the police to come and look for me but I'll pick around 7, okay" Naruto said looking at Hinata.

"Okay, I'll see you then" Hinata said nodding.

Naruto got up and walked towards the door. He turns and looks at Hinata.

"Thank you Hinata-chan" Naruto said leaving.

Hinata was surprised that he added the –chan to the end of her name and it gave her butterflies in her stomach. She couldn't wait until later tonight because she was going to spend the whole night with Naruto. This is going to the night of their lives. The doorbell rings and Hinata goes to get it. Behind the door was Ino with Nico in tow.

Ino was here to work her magic on Hinata with her handy make-up bag and curling iron. Nico didn't want to be around the make-up because she thinks that the stuff is pure evil.

"Are you ready to fabulous?" Ino asked smiling.

Hinata nodded and the three of them went up to Hinata's room. Ino already had Hinata's outfit already and wanted to get started on the bluenette's make-up and hair. Nico was lying on Hinata's bed, reading her Inuyasha manga that she brought with her. Ino had Hinata sitting at her desk so she could apply the make-up. The blonde found the right foundation for Hinata's skin tone then applied a smoky eye shadow to bring out Hinata's eyes.

Next, Ino applies a light blush to Hinata's cheek and some lip-gloss. She didn't want Hinata to wear heavy make-up on her first date. Ino was finished with Hinata's hair and moved onto styling the girl's hair. She pressed Hinata's hair before tying a little ponytail in the back then curling the rest of the hair. Ino stood back and admired her handiwork.

"I must say that I have outdone myself" Ino said smiling proudly.

Hinata got up and looked at herself in the mirror. She couldn't believe the person that was staring back at her was actually herself. Nico looked up and took out a good look at her best friend. She knew that Hinata was beautiful but her girlfriend found a way to being that beauty to a new level. Nico whistled a little.

"If I didn't have a girlfriend and was a guy, I would date you. Hina-chan, you look amazing and nice work, Ino-chan" Nico said smirking. Ino kissed Nico on the lips.

"Thanks baby and you bet not cheat on me or else" Ino said threatening.

Nico pulled on Ino's arm so that she was under her and kissed her passionately. Ino moaned a little and glared up at her girlfriend. Nico chuckled a little.

"I think you look even sexier when you're glaring at me" Nico said smirking.

Ino blushes and pushes the laughing brunette off. Hinata was laughing at how Ino and Nico interact with each other and thinks that they're good for each other. She wanted that kind of relationship with Naruto and tonight will be a stepping stone in that direction… hopefully. Ino had Hinata get dressed.

With Naruto

He walked into the house and saw a fuming Kyuubi. Naruto knew that his brother would be mad but wasn't too sure of how mad. Kyuubi was worried sick about him because he had seen him since the tailor shop yesterday. He was angry because Naruto didn't call to let him know that he was okay. Kyuubi doesn't know what to do with Naruto anymore and he's at his wit's end with him and his attitude.

He could be only be pushed so far. Kyuubi opened his mouth to say something but was stopped what happened next. Naruto was hugging him tightly. Kyuubi didn't expect this from Naruto but appreciate the hug. He hugged his brother back. What happened when Naruto was gone? Did something happen?

"Thank you, Nii-san" Naruto whispered.

Nii-san? Did Naruto just… call him Nii-san? This brought tears to Kyuubi's eyes. Naruto stopped calling him since the funeral. Kyuubi thought he would never hear Naruto call that again. He wanted Naruto to call him that and it just happen. He wasn't sure what to the blonde but he was very grateful though.

"What brought this on?" Kyuubi asked curious.

"Let's just say that I have finally seen the light and I want to say thank you for everything that you've done for me. I'm gonna try and change but… I'm gonna need some help" Naruto said rubbing his head sheepishly.

"Of course I will. No matter what, I will always be here to help you. That's what big brothers are for" Kyuubi said grinning.

Naruto was glad that Kyuubi wanted to help him. He wanted to repair their relationship so that they will have a better future together along with Kylie. Naruto was going to set a better example for Kylie and strive for great things. He wanted the best for him and his family. Naruto knew that's what his parents would want for all of them.

He walked towards Kylie's room and found lying on her futon and watching SpongeBob Square pants. Naruto chuckles a little because he forgets that Kylie is still a kid sometimes. He lies on the futon with her and she smiles up at him.

"Hey, where have you been? I've been up and drinking sodas waiting for you to come home" Kylie said lecturing.

"Calm down, warren. I was at a friend's house and I am fine, sheesh" Naruto said rolling his eyes.

"Okay but next time you're gonna get it. Shouldn't you be getting ready?"

"Yea but I wanted to check in you first" Naruto said ruffling Kylie's hair.

She pushed him out of her room and told him to get ready. Naruto shook his head and started getting. He changed into his tuxedo and tied an orange tie around his neck. Naruto put on his good shoes and they were shined. He brushed his teeth, tried to comb through his hair, and put on some cologne. Naruto looked at himself in the mirror and liked what he saw. He was wearing a white dress shirt, black blazer, and black slacks. Naruto thought he looked good.

"Stop checking yourself out, you weirdo" Kyuubi said fixing his tie.

"Shut up, I look good. Not that I can say for you" Naruto said smirking.

"Normally, I would beat up for that I wanna get blood stains on my suit. I need to look good for my date' Kyuubi said running his hand through his hair.

Naruto looked his eyes when the doorbell rings. He goes to get it and behind it was an average height woman with long jet black hair in a loose ponytail, fair skin and onyx black eyes. She was beautiful no doubt about that she also looked familiar to Naruto. He wasn't sure of whom she reminded him but she reminded him of somebody. She was wearing a very elegant silver dress that showed her curves.

"Hello, is Kyuubi here?"

"Yea, he's here. Please come in" Naruto said leading her in.

Kyuubi comes out and sees the woman. He smiles like an idiot at her and walks over towards her. Kyuubi wraps his arms around her waist and kisses her passionately. Naruto was confused on what's going on here.

"I missed you, Itachi-chan" Kyuubi said smiling.

"I've missed you too, Kyuubi-kun" Itachi said smiling.

"Naruto-kun, this is Itachi… my fiancé" Kyuubi said blushing.

The next thing that they knew, Naruto fell on the floor unconscious.
