Erik sat in his room watching the sunrise and thinking about her. She had been gone three days now, and in that time he had barely slept. His mind was constantly reeling, waiting to find a way to save her, and hoping she might save herself.

Each day Chris would bring Christine a small glass of violet liquid in the morning, and everyday she would barely be able to lift her head.

She now had full range of the room, however most of the day she would spend in the bed unable to move. Each night Raoul would come into her rooms when she was at her weakest, and would rape her. After he was done, he would simply leave her, alone and crying.

After a few months of being captive the snow began to fall, covering the ground in a beautiful, white blanket. Elizabeth had returned to her mother in America, and now Christine had full range of the house. Raoul no longer drugged her for no one could find her, and she had nowhere to run. Christine would spend most days outside by the sea thinking of throwing herself in and ending her torment. However Chris was a constant presence in her life, never leaving her leaving her during the day.

One morning as Christine say watching the ice cold water break against the shore, while Chris was busy reading his novel, she stood and ran for the sea, throwing herself as far as she could before Chris could see she was gone. She was weighed down by her many clothing and sank coming to rest on the seafloor only five feet below the surface. It was peaceful under here, no more Raoul, no more pain, only sweet eternity before her. Strong hands yanked her up from her peace, and at first she thought Erik had found her, but then Chris's face came into focus. She didn't cry she had no more tears left, she merely let him bring her into to house to dry off.

Erik lay asleep on the couch when the phone went off making him jump. The voice on the other end was low and soft saying, "give up now, she is gone and never wants to see you again" before the line went dead. he slowly lowered the phone to his side, face drawn before he hurled it against the wall, and running from his apartment.

There was a loud pounding on the door when Raoul opened it that night to find an out of breath young man on his step. "What is it? what do you want?" Raoul demanded. "He *gasp* is *gasp* here" the young man said. Raoul looked alarmed 'how had he found them? he used a payphone one town over' he thought. "Where was he last seen?" asked Raoul. "On his way up here" the man said sitting down against the door-frame. "Fuck" Raoul said throwing some money at the man who got up out of the way as Raoul closed the door, and ran for the sitting room.

Raoul burst through the sitting room doors and grabbed Christine's arm, pulling her from the floor and dragging her towards the back door. "What is happening sir?" Chris asked getting up from her chair. "He is almost here" Raoul said and through the keys at Chris saying, "get the car now!". Chris nodded and left the room fast. Christine had been silent the whole time waiting for her moment. Raoul let her arm go and started pacing the room not looking at her, this was her chance! she bolted for the door yanking it open and running right into someone tall, thinking it was Chris ready to drag her to the car, she shoved them hard and started running again.

Erik was about to kick in the door when it was flung open and she smashed into him, immediately shoving him away and bolting, right behind her was Raoul who stopped short when he saw The Phantom standing waiting for him. Erik balled his fist and hit Raoul in the right eye knocking him to the ground. He walked back to the car and told the man in the driver seat to bind and bring Raoul, and then he ran off to find Christine.
