Chapter 11: Element Magic
I woke up in the medical east wing of Hogwarts. My limbs are bandage up because of the wounds I've received from my professor. Well he was bewitched so I got them from Mater Mortis. Whatever my parents had done to make her so psycho she's coming after me for it. At least I've haven't felt any pain yet. I wonder?
I slowly sat up. I've felt a little pain from my wounds but they're just sore. After a few seconds Shiro, Riddick, Harry, Hermione, and Ron walked in here. Harry smiled when he saw me awake. To show how glad he is he rush to my bedside and hugged me.
"Ow ow ow!" I said as I've felt more pain when he put pressure against my wounds.
"Oh sorry, Sis!" he said as he let go, "We were all so worried about you."
"Him especially." said Ron, "I've never saw him so upset over someone before."
"I've never saw any Witch perform magic without saying a word." said Hermione, "Especially using element magic. You must be the first Witch to ever perform advanced magic at your age. But I must ask you, how did you ever conjure up that machine you've made to trap Professor Bumby?"
"It just came from my imagination. Like I willed it to be created out of thin air. Same thing with my water magic."
"It's not normal, and you too Harry. You conjure up a deflect spell without saying anything either. You two are quite powerful when it comes to a fight."
"You know us, we never back down from a fight."
Surprisingly Professor Bumby and Dr. Eve came in. Professor Bumby wore the face of guilt. Poor guy, I wonder if he saw everything what happened during our duel? Does being bewitched forced you to watch what you've done? I need to read up on that.
"How are you feeling Trinity?" asked Professor Bumby.
"Neh, it could've been worse. I'm more glad that you're doing okay, Professor Bumby. Mater Mortis hasn't done any damaged to you did she?"
"No, but... I'm so sorry Trinity. It's not in my nature to hurt my students. I nearly killed you with my wind blade spell."
"It's alright Professor Bumby. I'm a student of Ravenclaw, this pain is nothing."
Even though it hurt like hell, but I think my ego is boosting up my pain tolerance.
"Dumbledor is sending out an investigation to find Mater Mortis." said Dr. Eve, "In the mean time it's best that you should stay within the castle until this matter is taken care of. Yes this also means you can't go home during the holidays."
"What?!" said Harry, "But sir that isn't right!"
"But it's logical." I said and everyone looked at me, "Mater Mortis is after me and it's no doubt she'll try to put my family in danger. Dr. Eve, will my family be under protective watch?"
"Yes," he answered.
"Then it's settled. I'll stay here until Mater Mortis is finally been taken care of. But you know this doesn't really guarantee the safety of the students and professors."
"More guards is being sent here to reassure that."
"Well I hope so. That witch has more skill than me. I was taken down by freaking wind blades and to think I would even handle that."
"Trinity you're only 11 years old."
"Yeah I guess that's a good excuse. Man I'm hungry."
"I can bring some food to you." said Professor Bumby, "Please it's the least I can do to make up for what I've done."
"Dude for the last time it's not your fault. But please bring me some chow mien, an egg roll, 5 crab rangoons, strawberry shushi rolls, 2 Japanese sodas the green apple flavor, eggdrop soup, 3 shrimp toasts, and 2 chocolate chip cookies."
"... Let me get my note book to write all that down. Are you sure you're going to eat all that though?"
"Oh I'm sure."
...
Believe it or not my friends ate with me in the east wing. I shared some of my food with them but not a whole lot. For one I am super hungry and I deserve all of it for taking the wounds. That Witch gotten me pretty good. I'm just glad my injuries have been healing quickly because of the remedies that nurse given me.
She put some kind of magical cream that makes the wound heal up faster. No bones in my body have been broken so that's a good sign. After our good conversations and eating a great meal. Harry said, "I wish we could stay here with you over night."
Hermione said, "But you know we have to go back to our common rooms."
"Yeah I wish you guys could stay too, but I doubt the nurse would let you. Besides there are other patients here who would like to get a quiet rest."
"We'll come back tomorrow morning." said Shiro.
"Alright, see ya then guys."
They took off so we all can get some rest. As I drift to sleep I was only awaken in the middle of the night by a voice. Surprisingly it wasn't that familiar scary whispering voice by Mater Mortis. It's some other female voice that's calm and soothing. "Follow me." she said.
As I open my eyes and sat up in the bed. I saw glowing small water lights that are showing the way where I should go. No one else is awake, so this is the perfect chance to follow it. I got out of bed, put on my slippers, blue robe, and I took my wand just in case.
When I pass by each glowing water light they evaporate into the air. The lights lead me out of the castle and headed straight to the docks. I'm standing in front of our great huge lake. "Okay so what am I doing here exactly?"
"You have your wand with you am I correct?" she asked me.
"Yeah," I said.
"Try using water element magic without it."
"...May I ask why? I mean who are you lady?"
"I am the one you awakened. As for why, you need to practice using magic without a handicap."
"Ahh, I get it. So without using the training wheels huh?"
I put the wand in my robe's pocket. "Okay so how do I do this water magic without it?"
"Feel the flow of the water. Dive in and try to breathe in it's realm."
Oh, well this is a new level. Trying to breathe underwater? That's impossible for any human being. Is it crazy to listen to a voice out of thin air that is telling you to do impossible things?... Yeah it's crazy, but I guess I'll try it?
I took off my robe and slippers to leave them on the dock. I sat down at the edge and dive into the water with a lungful of oxygen. "Now concentrate." she said into my mind.
I closed my eyes and try to clear my mind. Focusing on trying to breathe but it's hard. When I try it hurt my lungs with such pain. I couldn't help but swim up back to the surface. For some reason though, some kind of force wasn't letting me get back up.
"Don't panic! You can do this Trinity!"
I can't! This is too much for me to handle! I'm losing oxygen! Am I really going to drown?!
All of a sudden with all that panicking. I can finally breathe. The water was easily passing through in and out of my lungs. "This is so weird." I said.
"At first maybe," she said, "But in time you'll get use to it."
"Well at least drowning won't be a problem for me anymore."
"Now try controlling the water to raise yourself up." she said.
"Like out of the water and back onto the dock?"
"Exactly."
Well now that I can breathe, maybe moving water can be a bit more easier. I outstretch my arms as streams surround me. I was actually able to lift myself out of the water and got onto the dock. "So wicked!" I said, "So what's with the element training?"
"You've awakened the spirit of water within you. It's only right that you master it. You might as well get back inside before the prefects find you out and about."
Oh yeah, the Prefects are the like the main leaders of the houses here at Hogwarts. If one of them finds me they'll take off house points. Yeah I better get back to the east wing.
I took out my wand to cast a spell to dry myself off. I then put back on my robe and slippers and rushed back inside the castle but discretely. Man this is one night I'll never forget.
