Okay, so before I get a whole mess of angry reviews about how long it has been since I've last posted, It wasn't my fault. I got my computer taken away. And even if I hadn't I've been going through some shit. My girlfriend turned straight and dumped me, my grandfather and I were fighting, I fell for a trans boy who ended up really hurting me, PLUS school's been beating me up. So, I'm sorry it's been so long, but I had reasons.
Inner Kiwi: Even I can't dispute that.
The folowing Friday after Matthew's day with his twin, he was in his regular place with his group of friends. Because of the cold, everyone was hunkered down, cuddling with their signifigant others. Gilbert was curled up on his side with his head in Matthew's lap. At first, this had distressed him, making him blush and stutter, but he had gotten used to it after about ten minutes and was now just playing with the boy's snowy hair. Wow, I never realized just how soft it was before.
Matthew nearly had a heart attack when Gilbert suddenly sat up, thinking he'd accidently said that out loud. Thankfully, Gilbert just grinned excitedly.
"Oi, guys, I have the awesomest idea ever!" Several of their friends gave him a skeptical look. The LAST time he'd said that, they'd ended up covered in baby food waiting for their parents to bail get them out of holding.
Seeing their doubtful expressions, Gil held up his hands in a gesture of innocence. "I swear, this time there is no chance of police involvement. I was just thinking we should have a movie night tonight."
"That's exactly what you said last time, and look where we ended up, mankafa," Sadiq pointed out, raising an eyebrow.
"You get you're friends arrested one time and you're branded for life..." Gil muttered under his breath, looking pouty and genuinely dissapointed. Something in Matthew's chest twinged, and he spoke up.
"I-I think having a movie night is a good idea. I've never really done something like that before," Everyone gave him looks that ranged from horrified to pitying.
"You haven't? What did you do with your friends then?" Mathias asked, tilting his head to the side.
"I didn't, uhm, I... haven't ever had friends before you guys, not really," Matthew answered softly, blushing candy-apple-red. Feli's eyes filled up with tears and he flung himself at Matthew, cuddling him into his chest.
"Oh, Matteo, I'm so sorry! If I had of known I would have gone back in time and made friends with you!" He wailed. Lovino pulled his brother off the overwhelmed Canadian boy, thumping him upside the head for good measure.
"Don't be such an idiota, Veneziano. You can't go back in time. We can only make up for it in the future." The older of the two growled. Feli pouted but returned to his spot next to Ludwig.
"Well, unless you're a 900 year old Gallifreyan in possesion of a police box, but that's beside the point," Arthur added. His boyfriend rolled his eyes at him.
"Ignoring mon petit Arthur's nerdiness, I agree with Lovino. I say we have the movie night," Francis said, earning a kick to the shins from Arthur.
The rest of the group nodded, and they decided to meet up at Gil and Ludwig's place at 7, since they were the only ones besides Matthew who lived alone (and Matthew's house was off-limits for obvious reasons).
It didn't occur to Matthew until he was heading to his fourth period class that he was going to have to come up with a story to tell Ivan.
PAGE BREAK
Matthew fidgeted with his sleeve, eyes trained on the door. He'd fabricated a semi-believable lie to tell his boyfriend, now he just had to tell it. Finally, the tall slavic boy came into class, sitting down in his regular spot. Matthew turned slightly toward him, covering up the nervous shake in his hand by tapping the pads of his fingers against the desk.
"Uhm, Ivan?" Matthew called softly, wetting his lips. Said boy looked over at him, giving him a slight smile.
"Da, Matvey? What is it?" Ivan responded. Deep breaths, Williams, deep breaths.
"The drama cast has a dress rehearsal tonight, and then we're going over to Luna's house for a few drinks to have some cast bonding time," Matthew poured every ounce of his lying ability into telling him this. He waited on bated breath for Ivan's response, terrified that he'd call him out in his lies.
"Oh, okay then. If you are going to be drinking, you should stay there, da?" To say he was shocked by his boyfriend's response would be a grand understatement. He'd expected to have to beg and plead. Not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth, Matthew nodded.
"Yeah, of course I will," At that moment, the bell rang, and Matthew let the conversation drop, deciding not to wonder why he'd agreed so quickly. He had a feeling he wouldn't like the answer.
OKAY, this was GOING to be longer, but honestly, it took me over a wek to type this out and if I try to add any more it'll take another week at best. Next chapter is the second to last before shit hits the fan, so hold on to your hats, ladies and gentleman.
mankafa- Dumbass.
