Chapter 10
Abebe turned around and charged back to save his cheifs' queen! once in sight Heather cried for him to flee as the sound of more bullets flew!
Meanwhile...
Atem and a few volunteered men from his tribe went in search for Heather, closely following her scent through the jungle.
How could she do this, why now? I thought we were past this, I thought she loved me, why would she run away now of all times, especially when I need her most? Atem angrily thought, keeping on high alert in his lion form. Atem and his men then come into a familiar jungle clearing,
Wait...I-I know this place, th-this is where I met Heather! she's been here, her smell is fresh here, so she can't be to far, wait something off...oh no there's been a fight, and a struggle...bullet holes, skid, and drag marks, Heather you came willingly up until this point, so maybe you didn't run away after all...well whom ever took you from me, I'll kill them! he thought as he examined the scene, then looked off into the direction of the savannah, him and his men wasted no time, as they dashed out of the jungle and then cautiously into the open savannah, they kept they bodies low, for they knew they were in very dangerous enemy territory grounds, but Atem was determined to find Heather, she was everything to him. "Chief a fresh blood trail" one of his men whispered, "Yes I can smell it" Atem replied, as he examined the beginning of the blood trail.
The blood trail stretched out for a few feet, then forked off in opposite directions, Atem and his men followed the trail to the left as it trailed off into the tall savannah grass that swayed in the warm breeze. there they saw him Abebe lying there hidden in the grass with not one, but several bullet wounds scattered throughout his body! Abebe lifted his head from the ground, wearily gazing at his chief, and fellow tribesmen, as they approached him to further examine his wounds, "I-I'm sorry your majesty, I-I tried to save her, but-" Abebe started to weakly apologize, but Atem interrupted him, "No son, you did good, just take it easy we'll get you some help soon"
"No-no time, I know I'm not going to make it anyways-" Abebe retorted,
"Don't say that!" Atem gasped
"It's true, besides your queen is the priority, not me, after all she tried to take a bullet for me! I still don't know if I should feel honored or ashamed-" Abebe continued,
"You did your best" Atem comforted,
"Yes, I tried to save her, even with a boom stick pointed at me, even though I was alone, I-I tried...I have no regrets" Abebe finished in a weak whisper, giving his last breath, Atem looked upon his motionless body in morn for a few moments, before turning to his other men, whom were doing the same, "I want you to take him back to the tribe for an honorable burial, then make haste to return to me!" Atem ordered one of his men.
Atem then rushed out of the tall grass in following the other blood trail on the right, in hot pursuit for his loved one.
Meanwhile...
Heather laid gagged on a moving man or, women pulled wagon, her leg, and chest showing a recent gun wound! "Just hang in there Heather we'll get you a doctor soon!" Amanda called back to her reassuringly, and angrily glared at Mai, "I swear when this is over Mai, I'm going to kill you, for shooting Heather in the leg like that!" she yelled, "I'm sorry I panicked, I shot the jaguar, in which she foolishly tried to protect, then I thought she was trying to run away!" Mai defensively replied, Amanda furiously shook her head in response. Heather whom normally gave physical muffled cries of painful distress, was quiet for some unknown reason to her friends, Heather was slowly inching her way towards the edge of the wagon, in hopes to "fall off" for she saw a familiar Albino Lion sneaking through the tall grass, not to far off, Atem with his one aid formed as a Gazelle, slowly, and very quietly snuck out of the grass and onto the main dirt road in which they were traveling, Atem was however surprised that her "friends" didn't notice him by now... where any man or women from these parts would've noticed him from a distance!
Atem was shocked and angered even more by the sight of his loved condition, not one but two bullet wounds!? Atem quietly trotting behind the wagon, gazing at his love with a sad, yet loving expression, Heather managed to spit out her muffle and whispered, "Disarm her first, then I'll explain what happened"
Atem nodded, then leaped over the wagon, giving a barreling roar as he tackled Mai to the ground! both girls shrieked, Mai hopelessly pinned to the ground by Atem in his lion from, As Amanda ducked down and snuck around to the back of the wagon, to be confronted by a male Gazelle, whom threatened a beat down, "No-no mercy, I surrender!" she pleaded, getting putting her hands up in a submissive posture. "I should kill you both for this treachery, but I am bound by honor and the love of my wife, to at least her your side of the story during a far trial" Atem roared at first then dulled down to a growl, slowly letting Mai up, Atem tossed her bag, over to his Gazelle aid for safe keeping, as he slowly herded Mai around to the back of the wagon, Atem approached Amanda with a warning glare, as she backed up and stayed low to the ground, he then transformed back into his human form as he stood over Heather, whom was still lying on the wagon, with tears streaming from her eyes, she looked very happy to see him as she weakly reach out for him to pick her up in his warm protective arms, Atem happily obliged, and very carefully picked her up, as he sat down on the wagon. He gently checked her wounds, and her current condition, thankfully upon his current inspection his bullet wound to the chest was as threating as the one in her leg, but still it made him wonder, as he stared at Amanda, then over at Mai.
"Things got way out of hand" Mai started, Atem glared at her, "No really Mai, ya think!" Amanda yelled, "Look I can explain-" Amanda continued until Atem interrupted her, "Hold your breath, this is for the spirits to judge, quick back to the tribe grounds, before we're spotted by the enemy" Atem sighed in aggravation, getting up and leading them back to the secret tribal grounds, after many hours of non-stop travel, they finally reached the grounds in the mid of the frigid night. To Mai's and Amanda's' surprise none of the tribe was asleep!
they were wide awake and looked worried until they came into their sights, a massive cheer echoed throughout the camp, Atem still carrying Heather was joyfully greeted, by many relieved tribesmen, and women. Cliff and Rebecca came bursting through the crowd up to Atem and Heather, then lead them into their main medical tent, as Mai and Amanda were about to enter in after them, they were stopped and blocked to several tribesmen with spears, "You two will have to come with us" they ordered, Amanda and Mai fearfully did as ordered and were lead to handcrafted cages, crafted out of the rock. inside the medical tent were various other wounded men still recovering from the previous attack/battle that the tribe undertook. Atem laid Heather gently on the nearest bed of blankets, then stood up turning to leave to take care of some delicate matters, before he could leave Heather snatched his leg, grabbing his attention back down to her, as Cliff and Rebecca kneeled next to her prepare to remove the bullets, and heal the wounds she obtained, "It's alright love I won't be gone long, I promise" he said comfortingly to her, "Amanda is innocent, she didn't mean to cause any trouble, she just wanted to reunite me with my old family" Heather started to explain what happened, "Now isn't the time love, you need to rest, we'll all deal with this later, we've got bigger problems to attend to, just rest I'll return soon" Atem replied, Heather weakly nodded, and released his leg from her grasp, Atem was nearly out of the tent only to stop hearing her say in a weak cry, "Nina going to hate me for this"
Atem turned back to look at her, "No love, you took a bullet in attempts to save her older brother, she should be nothing but thankful towards you" Atem corrected, and comforted her.
Atem then left the medical tent, making his way to the back end of the tribal grounds passing massive, newly constructed tents, with Silverstone tribe markings, he finally reached and entered the one in mid back , inside was none other then Gisele, Seto, Nina, Joey, Tristan, and Duke! "Chieftain, glad you made it back, how is her-majesty?" Duke formally greeted, and asked, standing on the other end of the tent was Rafael, Yuesi, and Jaden guarding Pegasus whom was relaxing on a throne made of freshly cut bamboo, adorned with furs, and feathers tied to strings, that drifted from side to side from the gentle breeze. "My-my-my, Atem is that you, my how you've grown, last time I saw you, you were just baby" Pegasus greeted, "And you must be-" Atem greeted him in kind, "Yes I am Pegasus, the proud leader of the Silverstone tribe" he interrupted, getting up from his throne, embracing a strong welcoming arm-shake from Atem. "So Atem I know we have a lot to catch up on, but war is upon us" Pegasus sighed in dismay, shrugging his shoulders, "Yes, the blue fang tribe rain of terror must end!' Atem declared, "Huhuhuha-ha-ha-ha-ha, I love how you think Atem my boy, but unlike your father, we will not make the same mistake last time, this time...we wipe them out completely!" Pegasus darkly chuckled, then darkly declared, "Yes!" Atem agreed.
Atem and Pegasus started to draw out the battle plans, with hours of debate, and discussion they finally came up with a solid plan, "Atem my boy, you are even more cunning, and ruthless then your old man!" Pegasus darkly praised, "But be careful that your darkness doesn't swallow you up, like it did to the Blue Fang Tribe!" he then warned, "Heh don't worry about me, I'll be fine, my wife keeps me in check" Atem humorously reassured, "Ah yes, how is your queen by the way, I heard you two had a bit of trouble earlier?" Pegasus asked, "It's a long story, which brings us to our next discussion...Atem replied. Atem then lead Pegasus and his men, to the stone prison cells containing Mai and Amanda, Atem then explained what he know of the situation to Pegasus. "So you're going to let the spirits judge them, a wise move, especially when blood has been spilled" Pegasus stated, "Yes...would you like to attend the ceremony?" Atem invited with a devious tone, and matching smirk, "Ha-ha-ha, I'd love to!" he happily obliged. As everyone left back to the battle tent, Pegasus stayed before, gesturing he'd join them in a few moments... Once alone he then turned his sights to the imprisoned women,
C-Could it be? Hmmmmmm it's to early to tell, but if my instincts are correct, this'll definitely set a new plan into motion... Pegasus thought as he stared at Mai, and then Amanda, he then gave a light laugh as he walked back towards the tent. Heather awoke the following morning, still lying in the medical tent, where her wounds were treated, her muscles, and recovering wounds ached as she shifted in her bed of blankets, surprisingly Gisele and Nina were both standing guard next to her, with a shadow of unspoken rage in their eyes... "Hey guys... uh what's wrong, is it about Abebe Nina?" Heather timidly asked, Nina shook her head, "No my queen ,and I thank you for trying to save him", "Please don't thank me Nina, I-I didn't succeed, I'm a failure, and failures don't-" Heather weakly stated until Rebecca stormed in and interrupted her, "Oh shut up Heather, we don't need your weak self-esteem right now!" she snapped, "Yes with all do respect my friend we need your cunning, strategical planning right now" Gisele agreed, her and Nina kneeling down besides her, "Huh what's up, and where's Atem?" she asked, "I'm not going to lie, he's a part of the new problem" Nina informed her. Gisele, Nina, and Rebecca then told Heather of the new plan that Atem, Pegasus, and the rest of the men collaborating the battle plans came up with, and how they'd play "their part"…. "WHAT!" Heather screamed in an outrage, Gisele, Nina, and Rebecca chased after her in concern as she flew out the front of the medical tent, "ATEM!" Heather screamed again in outrage, men around her were deconstructing various tents and loading them, and various supplies into wagons, her friends helped her stand now feeling suddenly weak, still recovering from her wounds, Atem then came walking out of a tent and through the working crowd of tribesmen, stopping directly in front of her, before Atem could say anything Heather darkly growled, "You're sending us away, how, why would you do that!?" Atem just tenderly smiled at her, gently placing her hands on her shoulders, "My love, you should still be resting" he loving stated, "Don't you dare change the subject, I deserve an explanation for this!" she hissed, slapping his hands away, glaring at him. Atem just leaned in and lovingly pecked her on the lips, and replied in the same tone, "Get some rest love, you're all leaving first thing at daybreak" they just watched Atem walk away from them in appalled rage, Gisele, Nina, and Rebecca assisted Heather back into her bed, in the medical tent. A few hours had passed, nearing the dinner banquet, as the tribes gathered around the massive fire, "Um Heather you are well enough to go back to your tent, so when you're ready-" Rebecca started to inform her, "That pointy-haired bastard can sleep alone tonight for all I care!" Heather darkly sneered, "Oh get over yourselves, he's doing it cause he loves you!" Cliff snarled as he walked past them. "Ya not it off and give your chief and husband some love and attention while you still have the chance!" Duke scolded them, Gisele just glared at him, baring her fangs, "For once I'm not in the mood Gisele!" Duke snapped, "Who said I'm playing around, you pompous, feathered jerk!" she sneered, Nina glared over at Seto, "What?" he sneered returning the glare, "I'll tell you what!" Nina raged, "ENOUGH!" Atem roared, getting up from his bamboo throne, "This is no way to behave in front of our esteemed guests and allies" he started to lecture, "Now I know some of you women are unhappy, that we decided to send all of you... our most loved...and treasured jewels, up to the snowy mountains where the Silverstone tribe resides, but you have to understand that not all the women can fight like you...nor should you have too-" Atem continued, "Why?" Heather snapped glaring up at him, "I just told you-" he retorted, "Bullshit!" she yelled getting to her feet, "You know as well as I do, that, that's not the entire truth, why not just send away the women who actually can't fight, and let the rest of us help-" she argued, "NO, YOU'RE ALL LEAVING, AND THAT'S FINAL!" Atem yelled to the point of screaming directly in Heathers face, glaring at her dangerously.
Heather backed away from him, in shock and horror, she then quickly regained her composure, and replied in whisper, "A-alright Atem, if I'm that much of a burden to you-", "Don't you dare twist my words, I-I'm in no mood for your games, just shut up and sit down!" he darkly hissed, Rebecca, Nina, and Gisele gasped in shock, but was even more shocked to see Heather willingly surrender to his demand, Heather just quietly sat down next to her friends, whom stared at her in disbelief that she'd surrender to such treatment. Several moments of awkward silence went by as Atem sat back down on his throne, Atem stared at the empty throne next to his, that was "supposed" to be Heathers, but she refused to sit, let alone be anywhere near him, right now, Atem slapped the empty chair, sending it tumbling back, many tribesmen and women gasped at the sight of his action, which caused a hushed whisper to start amongst the tribesmen and women. "I-I can't believe he did that!" Nina gasped, Gisele shaking her head in agreement, "Oh Heather I-" Nina whispered, "No, it's okay Nina, I understand fully what he meant by that action..." she sadly sighed,
actions speak louder then words, that's one of the things Heather has learned, living with this tribe, and Atem, and what Atem just did, was a sign of disownment, regret or even hate, for you see, her chair, her throne was crafted as a part of his throne, their thrones bound together as a sign of their marriage, love and commitment to one another, so by breaking her throne off, and away from his is a sign of breaking of their bond!
A harsh silence filled the air, Heather knew deep down he didn't mean it, she knew well enough that people do and say things they don't mean out of anger. Not a moment later Atem gave the signal and the prisoners Amanda, and Mai were brought forth, their were several calls for their death from various tribesmen, and women, but Atem kept his word, and was going to wait and see what the spirits were going to say about this. Heather stood up and approached her friends despite Atems' glaring protest. It was normally an elders responsibility to call upon, and communicate with the spirits, not the chiefs' queen.
Will the spirits even respond to her? Atem thought giving slight pout on his throne,
Heather picked up a handful on blue powder from a clay pot lying next to the fire, faintly remembering what was done during her spirit animal calling, Heather lightly sprinkled the blue powder on, and around her friends, she then threw the remaining into the fire causing a large explosion of powder and smoke, quickly replacing the powder and smoke was a light blue magical essence, that disbursed into many different animal forms, as it maneuvered around the tribe, a familiar jaguar was seen majestically/playfully through the crowd of animals circling around them. Nina was sad, yet relieved that even though her older brother died his spirit, and spirit animal was at peace.
the blue spirit animals retracted back into the heart of the fire, and disbursed a light blue mist, which moved and shifted about like waves on the ocean, suddenly a small group of wolves appeared from the mist, the three wolves represented a mother, father and child. The three wolves passed by both Heather and Amanda, but only the mother and father passed by Mai as the young wolf sat next to her, representing as her spirit animal. The two parent wolves seemed disinterested in their child, and left it behind in the mist, the young wolf howled, cried, and searched for its parents to no avail, the wolf went through scenes of learning how to fend for itself, and learned to trust no one, but seemed lost still searching for its own identity, and where it belonged...
The wolf then finally wisped away into the fire, ending the spiritual telling of Mais' childhood, Amanda turned to the blue fire, waiting to see what the spirits would reveal about her, the blue spiritual aurora disbursed in waves again, revealing a different animal come into view...a cub, a snow leopard cub, the little spotted cub was wearing a shiny crystal pendent around its neck, the cub was happy, playing about in the snow, but then was suddenly snatched up in a brown sack! the sack was then passed over from many hands, then finally the bag was opened, and the snow cub was roughly dropped into an area, that was strange, and scary to the cub, the snow cub was lost, and confused, but soon got used to its new surroundings, many suns, and moons passed over showing the snow cub age a little more, the snow cubs past was nothing but a distant memory locked behind a hidden door. Then a familiar King cheetah came into view from the mist, but was a cub instead of an adult, the tribe giggled, chuckled, and laughed at the sight of the two cubs greetings, and playful interactions, of their new bonding of friendship, the two cubs pranced off into the mist, then were replaced with their adult forms, they both stood side by side, staring off into the ocean with a sense of longing for adventure, and something more...
The blue mist vanished, as the flames of the fire returned to normal color, two tiny blue lights shiny magically flowing from Amandas' and Pegasus's Neck! Pegasus slowly stood to his feet, as Amanda backed up in shock at what her pendant was doing, "Wh-what..I-its never done this before!" she gasped.
"C-can it be, after all this time, Istas, are you really our Istas?" Pegasus gasped getting to his feet, making his way over to Amanda, "Istas is it really you, oh it has to be, the crystal would never lie, my have you grown!" Pegasus asked, then excitedly stated. (Istas is a tribal name meaning: Snow, don't believe me google it!)
"Istas? wait no my name is Amanda" she confusingly stated,
"Oh Istas I know you can't be expected to remember your real name my granddaughter but-" Pegasus lovingly stated, "Wait what?" Amanda interrupted in disbelief, backing away from him, "I think Pegasus speaks the truth Amanda" Heather reassured her, "It's truth the spirits told the story of your kidnapping when you were just a baby...our tribe has held so much shame over that" Pegasus explained, "I-I don't know about this a-are you sure you've got the right girl?" Amanda stuttered uneasily, "Oh yes!" Pegasus happily stated,
"If there's one thing I've learned its that the spirits aren't the type to mislead people" Heather told her,
"They haven't in the past" Yuesi stepped in,
"Nor will they in the future" Atem added, still seated in his throne, Pegasus then turned to Atem, "Young Red Wing Chief, I will not allow harm to befall upon our only princess, she is our only air to the throne" Pegasus seriously declared, "Don't worry Pegasus I had no plans in harming them at this time, nor in the near future, the spirits didn't seem upset, from this recent tragedy-" Atem calmly spoke, "Wait so they just get off with no punishment, no justice for my brother!?" Nina yelled in outrage, "I didn't finish Nina, I was going to say, when this war is over, then we'll deal with the crimes our tribesmen, and women have committed" Atem snapped at first in frustration, but then calmly finishing his statement.
The dinner banquet ended as many tribesmen and women were heading off their tents for the night, Amanda was now sitting with Rafael, Yuesi, and Jaden, whom were assigned by their leader Pegasus to educate her of their tribe, and protect her with their lives. "This is so much information, forgive me if I don't remember much of it tomorrow" Amanda apologized, "Don't worry about it princess" Rafael stated, with his arms crossed staring up at the stars.
As the tribe was quieting down for the night, Heather found Atem alone resting up in a tree, not to far off from the tribe grounds, "I didn't mean to scream at you" Atem broke the silence between them, glancing in her direction, "It's okay...I'm sorry for yelling at you" she accepted his apology, then apologized herself, Atem gracefully leaped down from the tree, making her way over to her, Atem pulled her into a loving embrace, forehead against forehead, nose to nose, "It's okay" he whispered, then passionately kissed her.
Heather awoke in Atems arms, the sun just beginning to peak over the jungle trees, she groaned at the sudden chill of the morning breeze, Atem had her wrapped in blankets, as he approached and gently placed her onto one of the backs of a horse drawn wagon, other wagons were being filled with other women and children, and supplies for their journey, Amanda was escorted, and seated next to Heather, "Keep her warm will you?" Atem requested towards her friend, "Don't worry I will" Amanda tiredly obliged, "Alright you all better get moving, by tonight you all should reach the mountains" Atem ordered/informed them, "I guess this is goodbye then" Atem sadly whispered, giving Heather a warm hug, "No-never goodbye, see you later is more like it" Heather lovingly corrected, "See ya later alligator" Amanda teased, Atem smiled backing away from the wagon, waving them off, "I love you" he called as they trailed off, "I love you too!" she yelled back echoing from the distance, before completely disappearing from sight.
Atem turned to Pegasus both with new found serious expressions, and determination, "Alright everyone we're heading out, we reclaim our lands, and wipe the Blue Fang Tribe by nightfall!" Atem declared in a shout, followed by a rallying cheer of his men and allies.
Many hours had passed, the women and their horse drawn wagons were stopped, for lunch, and to rest/water the horses. Heather, Nina, Gisele, Amanda, and Mai were gathered not to far off, behind some trees, " Oh thank goodness, we thought you were actually going to go along with this!" Gisele sighed in relief, "Never underestimate Heathers acting skills!" Amanda praised, winking at her, Heather smiled in response, "Yes, but can we all agree to put aside our feelings and differences towards on another until this war is over?" she questioned, they all nodded in agreement.
"Good, okay so by now the men should be at our old tribal grounds preparing for battle, if we leave now, we should get their mid or end of battle, which will give our men some "unexpected" reinforcements they will desperately need by then" Heather stated her plan, "What about me and Mai?" Amanda asked, not sounding to confident, "Don't worry Amanda we're going to stop by panthers point to get some last minute training from a "friend" if you're still not ready after that you can choose to stay behind" Heather comfortingly informed her, "Anything else?" she questioned, "Good lets get moving!" chirped, as they started their sneaky escape, they all were stopped by Meekio, Nana, and Keillia standing directly in their way!
"Uh-oh" Nina gasped,
"busted" Amanda dramatically added,
"And where do you all think you're going?" Meekio snapped, tapping her foot,
"They're going to give our men reinforcements" Keillia replied, before anyone had a chance, everyone jumped out of their skin in shock, even her fellow elders, staring at her in disbelief,
"Listen-" Heather began, but was interrupted by Keillia, "No need child, go-go help your men, do what the rest of us women wish we were brave and young enough to do!"
"Thank you, thank you so much!" they all said unison, as they happily ran off,
"Grand Elder...are you sure?" Nana asked, unsure of all this,
"Yes those men need their help more then they realize...besides they would've snuck off against our will anyways" Keillia informed, "Those foolish girls are going to get themselves killed..." Meekio groaned rolling her eyes, "I'd better pray to the spirits" Nana stated walking back to the wagons, "I'll join you" Keillia added.
Several hours had passed and the group of girls finally made it to panthers point, as if he had been expecting them the black panther Yugi was eagerly waiting for them, they wasted no time, and all transformed into their spirit animals to begin their last minute training, a couple hours later to signify that their training was done, Yugi promptly disappeared into the jungle.
"Well is everyone ready?" Heather panted still a bit tired from the training,
"Yugi thinks so, I'll trust his judgment" Nina proudly stated,
"I'm ready when you are!" Gisele declared,
"Me too" Amanda added,
"Lets get this over with so we can get you home Heather" Mai said with determination,
"Heather is home, what do you think she's fighting for?" Nina angrily snapped, the two exchanging glares, "Guys stop-focus!" Heather intervened, they both nodded in compliance.
"Alright lets go" Heather darkly whispered, her and Gisele leading them though a couple upper secret passage ways, and short cuts to the old tribal grounds.
upon getting closer, the atmosphere drastically changed, the air was so tense you could cut it with a knife, and the stench of death and smoke was growing, their ears were filled with constant noises of battle cries, roars, squawks, squeals of pain and triumph. In their animal forms the group of women peered through the bushes to further analyze the situation, and determine their next plan of battle,
"Okay pick a target, stay calm, stay focused, and remember its either kill, or be killed!" Heather informed, then warned them, "Got it" they replied in unison, "Okay Amanda you're with me, the rest of you be careful!" she added, they nodded as Amanda stood protectively next to Heather as the rest of them ran off into the thick of battle Gisele was the first to strike a target, as she dashed past many of her fighting comrades from both the silver and red tribe, she flew up and tackled an expecting blue fang hawk to the ground, killing it upon impact! she then shifted from side to side looking for her next target, then went on the hunt again!
Mai surprisingly stayed close to Nina, as they combated the blue fang hyenas as a duo, Mai would charge in head first getting the hyenas attention, then Nina would go for the kill from a surprise attack from above or below!
Heather and Amanda were still ducked down in the same spot behind the bushes, Heather frozen with fear, "Its okay Heather, its not easy to kill...oh look Giselle got another one go Giselle!" Amanda comforted, then rooted for her new friend, whom was on a killing spree. "I don't know what's wrong with me, this happens every time, no matter how much I train" Heather growled, ashamed of herself, "It's okay Heather, you can always stay behind...like Atem wanted you too..." Amanda stated, then hinted, "To hell with that!" Heather snarled, charging out of the bushes into the battle field, "Well-well isn't this a surprise" a shadowy bird figure darkly hummed from the tree tops, watching a familiar King Cheetah followed by a snow leopard, enter the battle grounds. another large shadowy bird dive bombed Heather, swiping her side, while stealing a portion of her fur! Heather yelped in pain, as Amanda leaped up at the large attacking bird, "Come back here you coward!" she yelled after the retreating bird, Amanda stopped and look at her friend, "Are you-" she asked,
"I'm fine, just a scratch" Heather comfortingly replied,
"Yeah me too" Amanda huffed,
"Huh?" Heather looked at her friend in confusion,
"I only landed a scratch on that shadowy bird" Amanda clarified,
"Quick Amanda lets go, I've gotta find Atem!" Heather urgently stated,
"You aren't going anywhere my dear, not unless you kill me first!" a deep feminine voice declared, as a large secretary bird gracefully landed in front of her, "Who are you?" Heather sneered her tail and fur puffing up, "I am Cora, the almighty Queen of the Blue Fang Tribe, and you Queen of the Red wing tribe, your head will be my new trophy!" Cora darkly declared, with her wings proudly flaring out and up to the skies!
Meanwhile...
Atem not to far off from the main tribal grounds, he mauled yet another batch of hyenas that came his way, Atem seeing no more opponents sat down and took a breather from once in hours, he panted in exhaustion, "Still thinking about fucking that fat pig?" Tea mocked, coming into his view on a nearby tree branch in her black swan form, "You've got some nerve, to approach me witch!" Atem darkly growled, Tea jumped down from the tree, landing on the ground in her human form, "Hear me Atem, if you're a real man, you'll take me on here and now, in nothing but your human form!" Tea proclaimed, wielding two sharp bloody jagged daggers, Atem complied by also changing into his human form, pulling out his slightly longer jagged dangers, "Doesn't matter which way you die to me bitch!" he scoffed, "I'm gonna bleed and rape you, like I just did to your queen!" she yelled in a battle cry charging towards him, Atem confidently combatted her attacks, "It'll never happen, even if you do manage to kill me, which you won't, my beautiful queen is safely hidden away in the snow mountains!" Atem confidently retorted, "Ha think again pig head, your queen never made it up to the mountains, we ambushed them at the mountain pass entrance!" Tea mockingly lied, as she started overwhelming him with her rapid dagger movements, like she was just toying with him before...
"You lie!" he growled, trying to keep up with all her attacks, "Oh really chief, take a look at my new patch!" she tauntingly hissed, Atem gazed at the newly sown patch of king cheetah fur! Atem was close enough to get a good smell of the owner of the fur, his eyes widened in shock, horror, disbelief, "N-no I-it c-can't be" he stuttered in shock and disbelief, stumbling back a bit, as Tea darkly laughed at him, "Ha-ha-ha, oh she was pathetic, she fought well, but in the end cried for you like a baby!" she continued to laugh. A shadow a rage covered Atems eyes, as he stared at the ground, his muscles slightly shaking, then out of sheer rage Atem charged and attacked Tea with all his might, but Tea repelled all his attack almost making it look easy! Tea then trip-kicked him, knocking him flat on his backside, within a heartbeat Tea was on top of him, and at her mercy, one of her daggers at his throat, "Now I'm going to make you bleed, like I bled that fat pig!" she darkly declared, raising her dagger for the plunge!
To be continued...
Uh-Oh what will happen to Atem?
What will happen to Heather?
hope you enjoyed the chapter, and I'll seeya within a week with the next one!
