Ok, so here it is ya'll, the last chapter. Hope you've enjoyed the ride and hope the ending of this story doesn't disappoint. It was the best way I could see it all ending though so hopefully you guys agree.
I have so many ideas for stories rolling around in my head all the time, and some that I'm seriously considering starting so I thought it was time to wrap up this one before I post any new ones.
I really appreciate all the support/reviews/faves/follows I've gotten for this story and hope ya'll continue to enjoy any future stories I write. Thanks for reading!
Lex had spent the last week watching Jax as closely as possible. She was just waiting for him to make his next move and it was pretty obvious to the entire club that something was going on, but other than Chibs and Bobby, no one knew any details, simply that something was going on between Jax and Lex and it wouldn't be long before the shit hit the fan.
She was terrified for Juice and had tried to convince him that they should pack up all their shit and get as far out of Charming as possible. She'd begged him, pleaded with him, screamed at him, and hit him, but he refused. Said he owed it to the club to face whatever was coming to him. She almost hated him for his loyalty to them, but understood it and knew she had to stand by him and do whatever she possibly could to prevent it from being the end of him.

"Thanks again Gemma." Lex said as she hugged the woman who's been almost like a mother to her and walked out the door of Gemma's house and to her car parked in the driveway. She'd just dropped Ethan off to stay the night with her yet again. She'd felt like the worst mother in the world. She'd been so caught up with everything lately she felt like she was never there for her son, but what good would she be to him if Juice ended up dead over all this?
She backed out of the driveway and headed down Main Street toward the clubhouse. Gemma, unaware of what had been happening between Lex and Jax lately, had mentioned that the guys were having church tonight. Every church that had been called for the last week had scared the shit out of Lex. Each time she worried if this would be the one where they all voted on whether or not to end her man and if it was she was going to be there.
Pulling up in front of the clubhouse, Lex got out of her Camaro and ran inside when she saw all of the guys bikes parked outside already. All but one. She pushed through the front door and froze when she didn't see anyone. They were all upstairs already.
Walking up the stairs she stopped at the closed door and listened quietly. She heard Jax telling everyone everything about what Juice had done.
"Its way past time that you all knew about this. I thought he could be trusted and that's why I haven't brought it to the table until now, but I was wrong. It's time to put it to a vote. We need to decide whether or not it's Juice's time to meet Mr. Mayhem." Jax said when he finished recalling Juice's offences. Lex felt the lump in throat form before they even began voting, knowing that if for nothing else, it would be a unanimous vote against him simply for killing Miles. "Aye." She heard Jax mutter the first vote, his voice oozing with bottled up rage.
"Aye." Chibs uttered next after a moment's hesitation.
"Aye." Happy's vote was instantaneous and, like Jax, he sounded as if he was ready to go find Juice and cut his heart out before everyone had their say.
Half-Sack, Kozik, Tig, and Bobby all voted the same, some of them sounded sad and reluctant to agree that Juice should die, and a couple of them were almost too eager to sign the intelligence officer's death warrant, but nonetheless, the vote was unanimous just as Lex had expected. Unable to accept the club's vote without a fight, she burst through the door just as Jax slammed down the gavel.
"No!" She shouted as they all looked at her surprised.
"Sorry darlin'. You don't get a vote." Jax glared at her as he stood.
"What about Tara? Does she get one?" Lex shot back.
"Don't do it Lex." Jax warned.
"I'm not afraid of you Jax." She lied. She was terrified of him. She knew how cruel he could be. The man had put out a hit on his wife. And she'd carried it out for him. Jax had turned into the very thing he'd always hated and swore he'd never become: Clay. He had no mercy when it came to doing what he thought was best for the club. But dammit, if Juice was going down, she was going down with him and she was going to put up one hell of a fight first. To hell with the club.
"Listen to me Lex…" Jax ground out. "You got a kid. The vote was unanimous. Juice is done. Don't push your luck or that boy will grow up without either of his parents."
Those words halted Lex's decision to tell the club about who was really responsible for Tara's death.
"What's going on?" Lex heard from the doorway behind her.
"Juice, get the hell outta here!" Lex was in full panic mode now. The club had just voted to end Juice and now here he was in the clubhouse with no witnesses and no clue what was going on. Now there was no hope in them even making a run for it. "Juice go! Now!" She yelled as he just stared at her confused.
"What? Why?" He asked. "I saw everyone's bikes out front. Did you call church without me?" He asked, the realization hitting him as soon as the words were out of his mouth. He was terrified for a moment, before he accepted his fate and nodded his head and walked a little further into the room towards Lex.
He took a hold of Lex's shoulders. "You have to let this happen." He spoke as he looked down at the floor and then up into her bright blue eyes, tears forming in his dark brown ones. "I fucked up. I killed a member and I betrayed-"
SLAP
His head jerked to the side as Lex's hand made contact with his cheek. He kept it there for a second with his eyes closed before looking back at her narrowed eyes with tears rolling down her face. "Don't you dare fucking lie down and accept this." Lex whispered. "Don't you dare leave me here alone. Not after the shit I have done for this club, for your president." She said with a look of disgust.
BANG
Juice's expression turned from pleading for her to accept his fate to completely blank as he slowly looked down to the dark red stain spreading over his chest. He instantly felt like he was having trouble breathing as he realized the bullet had punctured his lung and he slowly looked at Jax, gun drawn, before back at Lex as he fell to his knees on the floor in front of her.
Her eyes widened in shock as she fell down to her knees with him and tried to hold up his much larger body to prevent him from slumping to the floor. She wasn't strong enough though so she turned him as much as she could to lay him across her lap and tried to put pressure on the wound with her hand.
Tears flooded her eyes as she looked into his fading chocolate brown gaze and the pain in her chest was making it hard for her to breath. The amount of blood pouring from his chest and the empty expression on his face told her he wasn't leaving this room alive. Unable to form words, she grabbed his face and pressed her lips to his, staying that way for a while trying to savor the feeling. She was terrified knowing it was the last time she would ever get to do that and even more terrified she would forget how it felt. As she pulled away to look at him again she let out a sob with the relief she felt when he opened his eyes. His lack of response to her kiss had made her worry he'd left her already.
"You have to… take care of my son. Promise me." He rasped knowing he wasn't going to make it. He knew he was losing a lot of blood and he could feel it becoming harder and harder to breath. He was either going to suffocate or bleed out.
He didn't want her to lose herself. He was so worried she would give up and get herself killed as well. He didn't want his son to grow up without him, but it would break his heart even more to know he was going to grow up without Lex either. He had to convince her to keep going, to be there for their son.
"I can't." Lex whispered between sobs.
"You… have to. I love… you." He was trying to keep his eyes open, but he felt so tired and so cold. He turned his head towards Lex and used his last breath to inhale the scent of her hair as much as he could before closing his eyes and letting himself slip away.
"Juice!" Lex cried as his eyes closed and his head lolled to the side. "Juice!" She shook his shoulders desperately trying to get him to open his eyes. "Dammit Juice. Why didn't you listen to me?"
"Guess he wanted to do something right before he died." She heard Jax's cold voice from behind her.
"You fucking heartless bastard." She raised her head and looked at him over her shoulder.
"I did what needed to be done for the club." He raised his eyebrows at her like it was the most obvious decision in the world.
Sliding her legs from underneath Juice's lifeless body, she stood and faced Jax. "Fuck you." Her voice was laced with venom. "And fuck the club." She looked at each one of them standing around the table. "How could you…" Her eyes stopped on Chibs. She couldn't believe the man she thought of as a father had had a hand in taking away the man she couldn't live without.
"Lassie…" Chibs said, feeling so much guilt and sorrow. He had known the decision would break Lex's heart, but it had to be done for the club. Now he found himself wondering what he'd done. This was the only time he could ever recall doubting a decision he'd made for the good of the club.
"Do you know what he's done? What he asked me to do?" Lex continued as she pointed at Jax. Her eyes moved from Chibs to Happy to Half Sack and on to each man standing around the table.
"Lex…" Jax's voice threatened from the head of the table. "You have a son. Think about your next words." Her eyes stopped on him.
"My son is better off without me now Jax. How can I ever be a good mother to him? I'm broken. I can never be the same again." Lex looked at Jax feeling completely numb and wondering how he expected her to move on from this. She looked back at Chibs. "He asked me to kill Tara when he found out-"
BANG
A shooting pain ripped through Lex's chest all of a sudden and she realized she couldn't breathe or speak.
"Jax! No!" She heard Chibs yell as she dropped to the floor next to Juice. His half opened eyes were the last thing she saw before another shot was fired and everything went black.

"I'm sorry, he's not going to make it. You can see him if you'd like, but only one person at a time." The doctor told the group of bikers gathered in the waiting room of St. Thomas. Ethan stood there in shock as each SAMCRO member took their turn in the hospital room that Chibs would spend his last hours in. He had been seriously injured when the clubhouse had been attacked and although he was still one tough son of a bitch, he was getting up there in age. The abuse his body had taken in his many years with SAMCRO had finally caught up with him.
Chibs had been like a father to Ethan, or Rico as he'd been nicknamed because he looked so much like his father who had been Puerto Rican. His parents had been killed in a motorcycle accident 24 years ago and he'd been raised mostly by Gemma, but Chibs and the other guys had been there for him also, especially the Scotsman.
"Hey Rico, your turn. The old man wants to see you." Half Sack said trying to lighten the mood, but the sadness in his voice was palpable.
Ethan made his way into the room and held his breath when he saw Chibs lying in the bed. He felt a lump form in his throat.
"C' mere boy." Chibs managed when he saw Ethan enter the room.
Crossing the room he sat in the chair next to the bed. "Chibs…"
"Don't. I'm old and tired. I've been doin' this shit for too long. I can't even ride anymore. I'm done and you know there's no other life for me. I've made peace with this. You need to do the same."
Ethan simply nodded his head knowing Chibs was right. Chibs was a Son and always would be, but he'd been so depressed ever since he had to put his bike up for good a few years ago. He could never be happy not riding and even if he did make it now, it would only make things worse. He'd be even more miserable. All they could do for him now was make sure he was comfortable before he went.
"I love you as if you were my own, just like I did you parents." Chibs said.
"I love you too Chibs."
"Listen, I gotta tell you something boy. About your parents. I should've told you a long time ago. I've struggled with the decision whether or not to tell you at all, but you deserve to know how they really died."
Ethan's brow furrowed. "I thought they were killed in motorcycle accident."
"That's what Jax wanted you to believe. They were murdered." Chibs confessed.
"What?! By who?" He demanded.
"Don't lose your head boy. I'm telling you this because it's time their murderer got what's coming to him. It's up to you to make things right."
"Why would Jax wanna keep this from me?" Ethan demanded.
"Because he's the one who killed them. Shot your father in the chest puncturing his lung and a major blood vessel. Moments later he put two more bullets in your mother, one in her heart and one in her head."
He's gotten away with too much in all his time at the head of that table. I've stood by him for a long time for the sake of the club, but he hasn't been good for this club for a long time. His time is up and it's your job to set things right." Chibs eyes began to flutter closed. "End him."
At the Scotman's last words Ethan looked up knowing what he had to do.
