Chapter 11: Majestar, Part 2

The room outside the elevator led to another part of Majestar that was filled with more complicated machinery than the first. "This place is the properly named Mechanikal. There are a lot of unique machines here, like conveyor belts, floating platforms, and machines that can transport us to different parts of this area. Just be careful around the machines that shoot lasers," Bomberman said.

Everyone soon came to a conveyor belt. They had to line up single file to fit since it was narrow. After the conveyor belt they found two machines that had suction power. "If we go inside one of these machines, we'll be sent to another spot," Bomberman told the others.

"But which one leads the right way?" Red Bomber asked.

"Hmm…" Bomberman thought for a moment, "well, I don't remember. It has been a while since I was here, you know."

"Oh! We've never even been here before-you'd be the only one who would know, White Bomber!"

"Fine. I think it's…this one!" Bomberman jumped into the machine to his right.

"I hope he's right," Blue Bomber said as everyone else went into the machine one at a time.

Everyone came out of the machine close enough together that they all bumped into each other. As they got up, Bomberman said, "Hey, I think that was the right one! I can see a longer path ahead."

"You mean you weren't really sure that was the right one?" Red Bomber replied.

"I did say I didn't remember. With all the adventures I've been on, I can't always remember everything, can I? That was just a lucky guess. Anyway, we're on the right path now, so let's go."

On the path, they came to a spot where the only way to get across was to cross a platform, but the platform was moving back and forth in midair. "If we stop that platform at the right time, we'll be able to use it to get to the other side of the room," Bomberman said, "I know what to do about this." He placed a bomb on a switch, and the platform landed in front of the group. Everyone crossed it before it could go back into the air.

In the next room, they could see a large machine with a door on its front. "What's that machine?" Bomberman wondered, "Last time I was here, there was a Gigantic Computer in this room. I stopped it, but I didn't completely destroy it. That means someone must have replaced it with this machine since then. But who?"

The door on the machine opened just then, and what looked like a silver Reptilia came out of it. "Prof. Tento, is that…a seventh Reptilia type?" Red Bomber asked.

"That's not a real Reptilia," Prof. Tento replied, "It's a robot! I think this machine sends out robots to try to stop us!"

More robot Reptilia came from the machine until there was a whole army of them. Their eyes glowed as they prepared to attack. "They're everywhere!" Blue Bomber exclaimed, "What will we do?"

"We'll fight them!" Bomberman answered. The robots launched lasers from their eyes, but everyone dodged them. "Anglar, use water to stop them!" Bomberman said. Anglar sent a blast of water at all the robots, which caused them to spark.

"Robots are destroyed by water-good thinking, White Bomber!" Black Bomber said.

"Thanks," Bomberman said, "Now, Pommy, destroy that machine! Use electricity!" Pommy shocked the machine, and it also began to spark. "Now let's get out of here before they explode!" Bomberman said. He led the others to a transporting machine and they all jumped in.

After coming out of the machine, they were in a small room leading to a path. They crossed the path and then found themselves in another room, an empty one with machinery surrounding its walls. "I think this is the last room on Majestar," Bomberman said, "and I also think we're about to battle Malevon again."

There was a flash of light, and then Malevon appeared. This time, his glowing orb was purple and his ears and tail were surrounded in magic power. "So you managed to defeat Loron," he growled, "She was strong but also talked too much. All the other members of the Dark League are defeated now...I am the only one left. I don't know how you could have possibly come this far, but it doesn't matter because you won't go any farther!" Malevon roared and the magic power around his ears and tail grew stronger.

"The other Dark League members were defeated a lot more easily than Malevon, and he is the strongest of them all," Bomberman said, "but if we work together as a team, I know we can do it!" Malevon was indeed a fierce opponent, but Bomberman and his friends were ready.

The battle began as Malevon sent magic power from his ears and tail. "Pommy, I'm counting on you!" Bomberman said.

"Myu myu," Pommy replied. He used electricity, which hit the magic beam and dissolved it.

"I'm not giving up that easily!" Malevon said. He shot even larger beams of magic than before.

"Pommy, stop those beams! Use Thunder Spin!" Bomberman called out. Pommy surrounded himself in electricity and spun towards the magic beams. When the two attacks collided, they both dissolved and Pommy was thrown backward.

"They're both so powerful," Black Bomber said.

Malevon began to charge at Bomberman and his friends. "Pommy, Thunder Squall! Now!" Bomberman said. Electricity came from Pommy, went into the air, and then came down on Malevon. The electricity was powerful and stopped Malevon in his tracks. He was weakened but still had plenty of strength left.

"You're not going to defeat me! I am…Malevon, the leader of the Dark League!" Malevon suddenly glowed with magic power greater than any power he had been seen with.

"Oh, no! That…that didn't stop him!" Bomberman said, "Now he looks really powerful!" Malevon's magic power glowed intensely, and he launched powerful blasts of magic in every direction. "Look out!" Bomberman shouted. As the magic power moved in their direction, the six Charaboms all defended and Leafy used her barrier ability. However, the attack's power was so tremendous that they struggled to keep the barriers from breaking.

The group of Reptilia that had been following Bomberman and his friends looked on, knowing they had to do something. They looked at one another and nodded. Then they ran in front of the others. "Reeeee…!" their eyes all glowed white and they shot an enormous white beam at Malevon. The beam went right through Malevon's attack and crashed into him.

"Amazing! That was a special Reptilia ability that can only be used by a group of multiple types of Reptilia," Prof. Tento said.

Malevon stopped attacking and fell to the ground. "You got me again!" he growled, "How can this be possible?!"

"Our friendship makes us stronger, Malevon," Bomberman said.

"Very well, then. We'll settle this on the planet Darkon!" Then Malevon turned back into his true form and flew off.

"Majestar has now been freed from the Hydrilia invasion," Prof. Tento said, "There is only one more planet left in trouble…Darkon. We must hurry before it's too late!"

"Bomberman! Over here!" a familiar voice called out. The group looked over at one wall to see Max standing there. "Majestar has a special teleporter that can send us to Darkon!" Max said, "It's in here!" He went into a small room, and Bomberman and his friends followed. The room was empty except for a teleporter.

"The final battle is near," Max said, "Ready?" Everyone was, so they went to the teleporter and prepared to arrive at Darkon.
