Mist
Summary: That's when she appeared, in the foggy mist of the titan's defeat when they took back wall Maria. She was going to change some fates. She had to, they needed her. And she was going to fuck shit up.
Note: Not much to say, I don't own Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin.
Second Note: Authoress Ships Petra and Levi and Levi and Blake, but its taking a while!
Third note: One anon called, Blake a mary sue for what she wore in the first chapter, Let me rectify that for ya, that's an outfit I wear when I'm home. One of the main strange things I have in my closet. SO. Blake's wardrobe is based off my closet. Boom.
Chapter start:
Levi was at his desk, signing some paperwork before he stiffened. The air had grown cold, it didn't hold the lightness of what it usually did. Did something happen? His door opened and he looked up at the blond woman. They had similar looks on their faces before nodding.
"You feel it too." She stated.
"Obviously, brat. Blake, something must have happened to her." Annies eyes widened and she clenched her fists before turning to the door. She had to find her friend. She needed to make sure she was ok. When she opened the door the fox male was standing there with a smirk on his face. Annie had the urge to punch the expression right off of his skin. She glared at him before cracking her knuckles.
"What did you do with Blake?" She hissed. Levi shot up and glared at the male before leaning against the wall. He was the calm and collected one for the moment.
"I sent her home." He smirked, though you couldn't tell with his stoic kind of face. His tailed swayed behind him and he chuckled before cleaning his face with his paw.
"Home?" Levi's eyes widened.
Flashback:
"Blake." Levi muttered sitting at his desk with his tea in his hand. She leaned against him and smiled softly. They had gotten a little closer after the witch incident. She smiled gently and peeked up at him, her green eyes sort of intrigued.
"What's your homeland like?"
Her eyes widened and then her face softened into a smile.
"Blue skies and sunny days. Ever seen the beach, sand with the ocean water, something so clear. Florida is the ideal place to live, when winter came around, it was still summer there. Florida was home but to be honest, I feel like I was living a boring life there. So I'm kind of happy I was sent here. I got to meet everyone and be happy…" She ended with a murmur.
He turned to her before sliding his hands onto her cheeks and pulling her up for a kiss. Her eyes widened in surprise before they slid shut and she returned the kiss. She slipped her arms around his neck and moaned quietly. Her heart skipped a beat as she felt his hands move from her face, down her waist to cup her bottom. She gasped her mouth parting for him to slip his tongue inside her moist cavern. She sighed in pleasure, sliding her hands through his hair.
When he pulled her into his lap she curled her legs around his waist. Sure she was a virgin but that didn't mean she couldn't enjoy the time she had left with him. Seven days left and then she would be sent back home to her meaningless life. What was life without him, her life would become mundane as it always had.
She couldn't allow that. She needed him. She knew that she hadn't been around him that long but truly she wished she had more time. She needed more time with him.
He broke the kiss and smirked softly, his hands still in their lewd place, causing a scorching blush to cross her face. "Home is where the heart is Blake, now, where is yours?"
End Flashback
"To Florida I'm assuming." Levi hissed. The incubator smirked and ran a hand through his hair before chuckling ruefully.
"I suggest you stay alive for the next few days or everything she's ever done will have been for nothing. Frankly I don't care whether or not she lives or dies. I still get my energy either way. But you guys will lose your future."
Annies eyes widened and she had to stop herself from screaming. She knew he was serious. He had to be, no wonder Blake had been adamant about saving them. She had something on the line as well.
"Dammit." Annie hissed slamming her fist into a wall. Ulquiorra chuckled and turned before walking away.
"Surely you don't want to lose someone else important to you, right Levi? If you wish to retrieve her I suggest you seek me out before 3 days is up. Til then, Heichou." He mused with a smirk on his lips, his tail swaying tauntingly.

Eren looked around the barracks and noticed the solemn atmosphere. Blake wasn't here yet, he sighed and furrowed his brow. Mikasa toyed with her scarf before her eyes flitted to Armin. He was equally if not more worried. It was strange enough that it was quiet, but the Heichou had not shown up for breakfast yet even with the threat of a food fight looming over him. He knew how Connie and Jean got in the mornings. Annie walked into the hall and heads turned to her before she sat down next to Armin. He looked to her and nudged her shoulder.
"Wheres Blake?" Mikasa asked quietly. It seemed the flurry of noise seemed to die down. Annies fists clenched and she growled softly.
"Home…She was sent home."
Mikasa's eyes widened and Eren stood up before Annie placed her hand on his arm. That was the first time she had the look of dejection on her face. She knew that their captain would leave to get Blake back. She meant a lot to him, and she had even tried to save his squad. Perhaps, things would change and he could bring her back.
"He'll bring her back." Annie spoke gently. Eren nodded solemnly before he looked over at the door as Hanji burst through.
"Heichou, he has vanished, so Erwin-Danchou will be your commanding officer in the field of battle!" She saluted and the soilders stood to salute her back. Most of them had schooled their features to show as if they weren't concerned, but they were. Their Heichou was missing; this was a setback for humanity.
But why?
Why would he leave so suddenly?

Blake walked down the stairs and she immediately stilled. It was like her whole family was there, something she could have lived without. She was then enveloped in a hug by her mother who was crying tears of joy. Her baby girl was awake. Her child was awake. Thank the lord jesus above! Her baby!
Blake didn't move, it was so hard to feel anything really. She whimpered and slid her hands up her mother's back before smiling. "Yeah. I'm home." She mused softly. Blake's heart was elsewhere, did Levi notice that she was gone?
She shook her head and looked up at her mother before peeking around her, all her cousins were there.
"You guys look like you're dressed for a funeral." She spoke with a dead voice.
"Same old Blake." The smallest cousin piped up, little Karie.
"Did you think I was gonna change?"
She brushed her bangs back behind her ears as the light reflected off the green gem in the middle.
"Blake…what is that?" Jesyka asked softly. She was playing with her little occult dice something that Blake admired in the girl. She didn't let anyone take away what made her happy. Blake looked at the ring before biting her lip.
"Just a ring." She murmured softly. It was her temporary contract ring. When she made her wish finally she would feel it burn into her skin. She would be forever marked as a contractor of the devil himself.
Blake looked at the concern faces of her family and she rolled her eyes. She knew that they didn't care too much for her, which was likewise for herself. She rubbed her head and patted her mother's arm. "Mom I'm ok now." She murmured softly, the woman in question let her go before wiping her tears.
"I'm not gonna go into a coma any time soon ok?" She told her with a smile, but on the inside, she knew that if she left again, it would be for good.
She had a feeling her mother knew that.

The male knew that the fox would do anything to see her die here and Rivialle had to believe that she wouldn't. His dark blue eyes darted back and forth before the fox sat before him. He was cleaning his face with his paws as his tail swayed in contentment. He knew why the soldier was here and he was counting on it. He chuckled a bit before looking at him.
"So you wish to retrieve the girl?"
The corporal frowned, he knew that the male in question, knew what he wanted. "Yes."
"So be it." The incubators eyes started to glow with a dark red hue to it before the air shifted and Levi was lifted and his whole existence vanished. The incubator chuckled and shook his head before laying down for a nap. Human emotions always hindered them.
"Ah, Walpurgisnaugt, I cannot await your arrival."
What a fool.

Levi floated in what looked to be a dark abyss before he saw the end of it. A light. He reached for the star and flinched at the warmness before he curled into it. It encased him before he landed in a room. A room filled with a scent he was familiar with. That was Blake's scent. He looked around at the neatly made bed before eyeing the plush doll that looked like him. He picked it up and squeezed it.
"Kono Gaki." It chortled at him.
He felt his lips tug upwards before he placed it back down. He eyed the posters of himself with amusement. He eyed the pictures on the wall of the chocolate skinned beauty in what looked to be dancing attire. She looked absolutely stunning. Her hair was so different, a short haired Blake? He'd never think that would be in existence.
He turned at the sound of the door being opened and the woman almost screamed if she had not looked to the posters. It was identical. Uncanny.
"You…you look like him! The man my daughter obsesses over." She gasped and gripped his carvat.
"Are you the reason why, my daughter has been lying comatose!? Why! I haven't seen her for 3 months except for 3 days ago!? She just woke up 3 days ago! Her body covered in scratches!" She had the fire in her eyes like her daughter. Blake had that same fire, she always had it when she was fighting with him. Her mother was no different. She had a tight grip for such a small thing. The woman was dark skinned and a little pudgy with dark brown eyes and normal brown hair. It made him question where Blake got her green optics from.
He eyed the woman before touching her hand.
"Your daughter was a soldier. She knew more about us than we did. Your daughter is someone to be proud of, she is a proud woman and very strong. I am proud to have been her captain." He spoke his voice even. The mother put him down and glared at him before swatting his chest lightly.
"You came looking for her." She stated.
"That I did."
"She's at school." The mother spoke. He nodded and frowned, how would he get there? Would it take him a long time? She watched the confusion flash across his face and smirked. She should make him sweat a little bit.
"I guess it can't be helped."
She turned and beckoned for him to follow. He was very respectful to the parents of his subordinates and his lovers. She opened the front door and pointed down the street,
"The school is called, Kanto University. The uniform is purple and white. You'll be able to spot her from a mile away." She shooed him out and sighed softly.
"Thank you Savage-san." He dipped his head and turned to the door and took the door knob in is palm. She smiled and sighed softly.
"Levi." She started. He sighed softly and turned to her before smirking.
"Keep my daughter safe, if anything happens to her, I will not hesitate to find you and end you." He chuckled and nodded at her before exiting the door. He closed it behind him and smirked to himself before walking down the streets sidewalk. His intended's mother was just like her in many ways. She was so strong just like her daughter. He eyed the large building and smiled, so this was where she was. His eyes looked up to the sign and frowned, he wasn't very good at English.
"Ka…anto?" he murmured to himself before he was bumped into by someone. His head turned and he eyed a kid, who looked to be about no more than 13. She had dark brown hair and light blue eyes almost like him. The girl tugged his sleeve and he rose an eyebrow at her.
"What brat?" he asked.
"Kanto University. You don't look very familiar, are you new here?" she asked quietly.
"No, Im looking for someone."
"Who ya lookin for, maybe I can help?" he dipped her head at him. He was confused he could have easily wanted to hurt this person, yet she was offering to help him. She was a strange one. She was fumbling with something in her pocket before his eyes narrowed.
"A girl named Blake."
Her eyes widened and she clasped her hands together before grabbing his.
"I know where she is! She's my cousin! And I attend school not to far from here and she walks me home!" she told him, swinging his hand with hers, like a child. He felt his lips tilt up a bit and he smirked softly. He knew where Blake got some of her affection for people.
She led him inside and to an open room. She pointed to the girl who was painting and humming something. She was moving the paintbrush across the paper in tune with her humming and he had to smirk, she sounded pretty decent.
Blake stopped and turned, her eyes widened and she dropped her paintbrush before colliding into his chest. She whimpered and sniffled burying her head into his chest, with a sob. He smirked and wrapped his arms around her body, in understanding. He missed her too.
"H…heichou.." she whimpered.
"Blake, I'm here. Don't worry." He murmured quietly stroking her back. Jesyka smiled and slid behind the door closing it with a loud creak. She cursed it and shut the door as soft as she could.

Hours had passed since her captain left and Hanji was about to tear out her hair, just what was going to happen now? None of it added up. Why were titans conglomerating in one place? They weren't going anywhere, they were just sitting there. The one in the middle was a titan Hanji had never encountered before. Her eyes were blinking rapidly, trying to figure it all out.
It was so weird.
Shaped like the gears of a clock. She didn't understand. She knew the war was coming and their commander was going to have to get them through it. She was excited to fight them herself maybe collect a specimen or two but this looked like all out war.
They would lose a lot of members and she knew it.
The door creaked open and she turned to the male of the hour.
"Heichou? I didn't think you'd be back so soon."
He nodded his head and took a seat with his cup before sipping from it. "She's coming back, said she needed to do some preparations before she came back." He explained. She nodded her head before she sat down dejectedly in her seat.
"There will be a war."
"I know. She know's."
"Do you believe in her, Heichou?"
"Yeah, I think, she can save us all." He confessed in a bored tone. He smirked behind his cup and thought back to when he left her back in her realm. She had such a cute fucking face.
*Flashback*
She let him go and eyed him with a chuckle before tapping his cheek with her finger. "How'd you get here?" she asked quietly. He smirked and slipped his arms around her lower waist and chuckled in her ear. She shivered in his arms and slipped her arms around his neck. She grinned and raised an eyebrow.
"So?~"
"I saw the incubator, and came to find you. Top priority." He told her burying his head in her hair. She flushed heavily.
"You went after that monster to find me? All the way in another realm? We only have 1 day left. I have to get back or everything would have been for naught!" She whimpered softly. She took his cheeks in her hands and pressed her lips to his own. His eyes widened before they softened and he returned the kiss. This wasn't their first kiss and he was gonna make damn sure, it wasn't their last because if it was, he'd probably kill something. He gripped her sides, almost as if he was afraid she would vanish if he let go.
"I have to save you"
He broke the kiss and nuzzled her throat before she eyed the opening portal next to her. She knew that /he/ was the cause of it. He wanted their death and her own demise; he was going to do everything he could to make sure it happened.
She smiled and waved as he entered the portal that was set up, she needed to prepare and she couldn't do that if he was here. She waved and he nodded before the warp closed.
*End Flashback*
She turned around her eyes hardened as she grabbed her bag and moved out of the room. She knew that the incubator wanted her back as well. She had to do this quickly. She left for her home and eyed the door to her house. She opened it and walked inside.
"Mama, I'm home." She called out gently. Her mother was sitting at the table before she stood and eyed her child. She didn't have a good feeling.
"Welcome home, Blake. Come let me get you some food."
"Mama. I have to go." Blake spoke steadily. The mother almost couldn't believe what she heard. She turned and gripped her shoulders.
"What? Why?"
"I have to save someone." Blake had yet to look at her mother and have her be disappointed in her.
"Leave it to the police, if they're in trouble, then let the police handle it!"
Blake finally decided to look at her. "It has to be me!" She saw the slap coming but she let it happen. Her head turned and she let out a breath. It took a lot in her to say that to her mother and it took a lot for her mother to hit her. She knew her mother had every right to be upset. Her daughter, was gonna go sacrifice herself for that guy!
"You don't live your life just for yourself you understand!? Did you even think about how I and your cousin would feel if you left!" She cried out to her daughter because obviously she didn't understand.
"I know. I understand very well how you feel." She saw the hard stare her mother was giving her. Blake moved her hand from her face where her mother hit her.
"Because I love you and Jesy that much too. So I understand how much you both care about me and I know I need to take care of myself for your sake too. But this is different! It's because I treasure you all, that I must protect you. To do that I must go to that place once more!" She confessed. She waited. She waited for her mother to cry and yell at her.
"And you can't tell me what this is about?" she asked softly. Blakes heart broke at the sound but she couldn't let her leave with her.
She shook her head.
"Then Im going with you."
"No mama, you have to stay here and look after Jesy, she needs to get out of the house with her mother. She needs you so much more than I do right now. Mama you said you raised me well. I don't tell lies and I don't do bad things, will you believe in me now? Will you trust that I'll do whats right?" She almost reached for her daughter but she couldn't help but drop her hand. Her daughter was growing up.
And she couldn't stop her.
"Are you sure you're making the right choice? No one is conning you into this?"
There was a pause.
"Yes."
Her mother turned her around and kissed her head before pushing her out the door. "Thanks mama." She rushed out and was surprised by her cousin who was waiting at the gate of her house.
"Jesyka?"
"You're leaving again aren't you? I know that's the man you love." She spoke gently before grabbing her hand with a small whimper.
"I am."
"Are you coming back?" She asked her tears beginning to fall down her cheeks. She whimpered louder and her shoulders shook. Blake leaned down and hugged her cousin.
"I don't know. I'm sorry. If I don't come back, I want you to take care of my mother." She spoke gently. She nuzzled her neck and hugged the crying girl closer to her chest.
"O…ok." She hiccupped before letting her go and pushing her.
"Get going! Please becareful!"
Blake nodded and began to run, she didn't stop until she reached a very desolate place. She stopped and the portal opened, her eyes narrowed. She knew that this would be the last time she'd see this place. She stepped through and it closed behind her.

Eren didn't understand why this was happening, a war! An all out war and they weren't ready for it. The titans came and attempted to destroy everything. He was still killing and he had no idea where his friends were and he was worried. He heard battle cries and the blood that splattered on the trees and the pavement. He heard screams and whimpers, cries for help and agony.
Levi flew past his eyes and tore into the titans, one after one. He had to keep everything together until she got here, he knew she wouldn't break her promise.
That moment was almost his last before that light shot down and cleared away that wave of titans. They had to shield their eyes from it. Connie and Sasha was the only ones who could see what was happening. A girl, the one from their ranks, the one that their captain knew well, the one that would save them she was standing in front of their captain.
Blake, that was her name. She knew it well, it filtered through the ranks and for that she knew that this was the savior.
The one that would descend from the heavens and deliver them from the titans.
The savior stepped down, her cape fluttering in the wind, the survey corp logo standing proudly on her back. The light died down and the sound of the wind whistling in the air was the only noise that was heard. Her eyes were narrowed and she clenched her fists. She turned to the male and knelt to him before taking his hand in her own. She gave him a soft smile and shook her head.
"That's enough. You've done enough Rivialle." She spoke gently with a soft voice. His eye widened just a tad, she had never called him that before. She stood and turned to the Titan that was stationed in the army across from them. Erens titan hissed a breath and she nodded.
"I know."
Levi's eyes widened and he eyed the fox creature at the girls feet.
"Blake you're not."
"I'm so sorry Levi." She confessed giving him a sad smile.
=w=
One more chapter until the end my loves! :D Its getting sad yeah?!~
