A/N: wow i'm still here! dragging this ship back from the depths, i still love these two but i never get the chance to write...
this fic used to be part of a bigger thing i was writing but i eventually scrapped. for context, they've been apart for a while and this is them reuniting. Juno is now captain of the Salvation II, one of the ships given to the rebels by the Mon Calamari. I'm conveniently ignoring the end of the Force Unleashed 2.
Reunited
"Juno!" Galen stopped just before he reached her. "I mean, ah, Captain Eclipse."
Juno had to stop herself from grinning like an idiot when she replied, "Good to see you, Starkiller. I'm glad you're still in one piece." She noticed his eyes flash dangerously at her as he remembered their last conversation. He looked like he was having difficulty restraining himself.
"I am, yes." Galen coughed, turning to see if anyone was watching them. The Salvation II's hangar was busy, with various Rebel shuttles coming and going, but everyone's attention seemed to be diverted on their own affairs. Juno stepped towards Galen, so close that their faces were almost touching.
"I don't think anyone has noticed us," she whispered in his ear, "And I won't be missed for a while. Let's go."
He had already grabbed hold of her hand, and together they – very subtly, Juno thought – made their way out of the hangar. Once they were out of sight, she planted a quick kiss on his lips before leading him into a deserted corridor. She knew they probably shouldn't be doing this, but what was one kiss compared to the weeks they had spent apart? The Rebels didn't need her just yet; surely, she could afford to be a little selfish…?
They made it to three turns of the corridor before their desire took over, Galen pinning Juno against the wall, their lips meeting hungrily. Well, maybe more than one kiss, then. She pressed hard against him, but she couldn't budge. Instead, she fisted her hands into the folds of his shirt, bunching it up at his shoulders, pulling him closer. She could feel his hands on her back, and she gasped when she felt them touch skin. He immediately flinched, pulling away.
"Sorry. I didn't – we shouldn't-" His face was a little flushed, and Juno guessed hers must be too. She reached up and touched his face gently. This was still very new to both of them – it had been months since Kamino but it felt like weeks with the amount of time they were forced to spend apart.
"We should," she told him firmly, "We haven't physically seen each other in five weeks – what do they expect?"
"Complete and utter restraint?" he muttered, stroking her chin. She laughed and closed her eyes, feeling his hands – capable of terrible things – caress her so gently she could barely feel it. She might have kissed him again if the sound of footsteps weren't echoing along the corridor. Hastily arranging her expression into one of polite interest, she stepped away from Galen.
"Pretend we're deep in tactical conversation," she hissed, straightening her uniform and drawing herself up. Galen did the same, nodding his head at something Juno hadn't actually said. The footsteps became louder until a small, squat human technician rounded the corner, humming merrily to himself. Galen coughed.
"…I presume, Captain, that our next step in the fight against the Empire would be to…ah…" Galen stuttered, while Juno bit her lip to prevent herself from laughing.
The technician, oblivious to what had actually been happening, nodded at the pair before continuing on his way. Juno waited until she could no longer hear his footsteps, before sighing with relief.
"Part of me wishes that we didn't have to keep this so secret," said Galen, linking his fingers through hers, "I hate all this sneaking around."
Juno had to agree. "Me too. Although I suppose it's not just our relationship we have to keep quiet about, it's the fact that we can't keep our hands off each other when we do see each other."
Galen 'hmphed' indignantly, pulling her closer so that she leaned against his chest, her arms wrapped around his waist. "And what's wrong with that?"
"Oh, Galen. Nothing at all. But I think some might question my authority if I kept jumping on you at every given opportunity."
She felt him shrug. "I suppose."
They stood like that for a while, holding each other protectively. Suddenly, an idea popped into Juno's head, and she broke away, checking her chrono. Galen looked at her apprehensively.
"What is it?"
"According to my count, I have to attend a briefing in approximately three and a half hours' time."
Galen looked confused. "So…?"
"So, I have about three and a half hours in which to make up my own time. The ship's just sitting, after all." She smirked at Galen's blank stare.
"Meaning…?"
Sighing, Juno grabbed his lapels and kissed him, full on the mouth. A second later, she pulled away, leaving him a little dazed. "Really? You're not that clueless."
He frowned. "And you're not usually so secretive."
She rolled her eyes. "Come on. My quarters, now."
Pulling him by the hand, she led him to the nearest turbolift. Once inside, he took the opportunity to kiss her again before voicing his concerns.
"Are you sure this is allowed? You were saying only a minute ago-"
"I meant in public. My quarters certainly count as private, thank you very much." She felt him smile against her mouth.
"We are in so much trouble if we're discovered," he muttered, although it didn't sound like he really meant it after Juno kissed him again.
