Hi guys I'm back! At long last I can continue this story and will be updating as much as possible :) sorry for any spelling mistakes

Anyway read on my dears! Read, enjoy, and review if you have the time please.

It had been a few days since the ominous letter had arrived and the whole crew was on high alert. Inori was deeply moved by what they were doing for her, well what they planned to do, when they weren't fulfilling their duties they trained harder and longer than what she had ever seen them do before, and not only that but they were being way way more caring than they usually were, mind you their 'caring' was actually putting more work on for her.

It first started the day after the letter, sure she was a little depressed but she didn't think it was that bad, she woke planning to make them the best breakfast she could as way of thanks for what they were planning to do but when she reached the kitchen she saw only Rowan and Lucas sat at a table attempting to eat a bowl of brown...something. "Hey guys, what the hell is that supposed to be?" she asked leaning between the two.

"It's supposed to be porridge, but someone decided letting Bepo cook was a good idea." Lucas looked like he was gonna cry in to his 'porridge'.

"And why were you guys in my kitchen, and where is everyone else?" she took a seat beside Rowan but leaned away slightly from the bowl of brown goop.

Rowan sighed and he swiveled his porridge, Inori noticed that for a split second the spoon stuck "Probably cleaning or attempting to do the laundry by now."

"Rowan it was meant to be a surprise...uh sorry Inori-chan, we wanted to do something nice for you to cheer you up, you know what with that letter and everything." Inori smiled, stood up and patted Rowan and Lucas on their bandanna wrapped heads then took the bowls from them and head for the kitchen "As nice as that is and as much as a appreciate it, there's really no need to, besides I like my work it helps keep me calm and truthfully I have no idea what I would do with myself all day." She turned back to them before entering the kitchen "Why don't you go round up the others before they kill the washing machine or something, and I'll make a real breakfast...some pancakes with yogurt and fruits should do." They were gone quick as a flash, probably happy that they were actually gonna get to eat breakfast, taking note of the clogged sink she could easily guess what happen the the rest of the crew's breakfast...she would let the fix that later. "Oh crap...Law-san hates bread...hmm well I guess I could make him some porridge and fruit."

"Thank you for your consideration." Inori yelped in surprise and spun to see Law leaning on the door frame his own bowl of killer porridge in his hand.

"Law-san, mou you move like a cat!" She puffed her cheeks out

"Thank you for the compliment." He smirked, setting the bowl down beside the sink "I see you caught on to them quickly, they came to my office this morning practically begging to do your work for you."

"I take it you told them I would do it anyway?" she set about making breakfast with her back to him, tying her hair up in a bun and sweeping her bangs to the side. Law watched her closely and answered with a simply 'Ah' she started talking again but he only half listened, he was busy watching her move about gracefully (in his opinion) but his eyes were continuously drawn to her exposed neck. Over the last two months he found the voice calling her 'Dangerous' grow quieter over the time, it worried him, greatly, but then he would catch a glimpse of her lightly jogging by or smile at him on her way to do whatever and the worry melted in to...something else. "Law-san?"

"Hm?" He was brought back to the sight of her glancing over her shoulder at him mixing pancake batter as she did.

"Mou, were you even listening?" she pouted.

He racked his brain for a split second then answered "I knew that what they wanted to do would cause you more work but I thought in a way you might need the extra work, to keep you mind off of things, and yes blueberry."

"Oh, well, sorry, but you don't need to be such a statue when listening." She turned back to what she was doing and his eyes honed in on her neck again, dman, this was becoming annoying, he wanted to touch her skin or at least have her closer to him. "What do you suggest I do then?"

"Dance." She didn't miss a beat with her answer.

"No way." He growled slightly

"Kidding!" She laughed at the serious look on his face, and the image that was in her head at the moment. Law watched her giggle to herself, at his expense no doubt, then made a snap decision and walked up to her and stood very very close behind her, she noticed him straight away, she could practically feel his presence get closer "Law-san, what are you doing?" she dared not turn around and slowly continued making the porridge.

"Just watching to make sure you it the way I like it."

"It's nearly ready." 'Was that an innuendo or something?! It sure felt like one!' her heart was banging in her ears and she could feel her pulse on every inch of her body, it had been quite a while since something like this last happened that she almost forgot it as a possibility, almost. "Is there any need to stand so close?"

"You're so short I can easily see over you." She scooped the porridge in a bowl and placed a pile of blueberries on top "That doesn't really answer my-" she went silent as Law placed his right hand atop her head and tilted it down slightly then she felt him place a kiss, an actual kiss, on the back of her neck. She was frozen still but her body was on fire from her neck out, what the hell was he doing?! She had spent so long convincing herself nothing would happen then he dose something like this! "L-Law-san?" she heard him inhale deeply and then he was gone and so was the bowl she previously held, she couldn't move though her body was still frozen and she couldn't even look to see if he was gone, her face and ears were on fire.

Inori blushed remembering the incident, it was two days ago and she hadn't saw much of him since then, just at meals but even then she couldn't hold her gaze on him for long. He didn't seem to mind and if he did he would have said something about it by now and the Inori of 8 months ago would have run for the hills but now she would just wait and follow his pace, if it really mattered he would bring it up especially now since she was on her way to his office, Penguin had come to find her earlier to say Law wanted to see her in his office she had nervously blurted an 'OK' then had come straight here. And here she stood, outside the door her hand raised to knock 'Just knock already what is wrong with you?! You know you have feelings for him so any attention you get should make you happy! Not shit a brick, just do it, do it, do it, doit doit doitdoitdoi-' *Knock knock* 'YADA!' "Come in." she sighed at her own stupidity but managed to enter the room, Law, of course, was sat at his desk. He looked up and saw her enter then slowly walk to stand in front of his desk, she saw he had on his slim glasses, he looked really good in them...whoa girl! "Inori, sit." she did "I wanted to finish our plan of action before we reach Red Lagoon tomorrow."

"Ah, ok." she sighed deeply thankfully for the topic that need her whole attention. "Well there's not much else to tell, they're a small organisation, about 20 members, most of them are just hack and slash thugs, easy enough to deal with, but there are a few who are very skilled, Artimus likes to call them his 'Apostles' but really they're just brainwashed bodyguards."

"Tell me more about them, it seems they'll be the ones that cause the most problems." He leaned his head one hand and got a fresh piece of paper, who knew he was a note taker.

"Well there's Mother Edda, don't be fooled just because she's 70, she's the most skilled one there and the most loyal to Artimus, she only uses guns but she has lots of them. But honestly I think Goldie could beat her easily." she paused until Law had stopped writing, she tried to sneak a peak but he just lifted them away and pretended to shuffle them "Then..then there's Asuou he's a hand to hand specialist very brutal...and the biggest liar you will ever meet!" her voice raised slightly at the end.

"Hou...some past grief?"

"No! Well not really, he told everyone I had slept with him and that got me a trip to isolation for a week, Artimus claimed I could have tainted an Apostle." she scoffed and folded her arms and looked at Law's expression and knew what he was gonna ask next "No! I didn't sleep with 1. I was only 15 and 2. I hadn't even met the guy yet." She puffed her cheeks out at him "You could at least have a little confidence in me." she mumbled

"I do, I was only checking." he chuckled to himself as he watched her pout "So is there anyone else?"

"Yeah just the one, Kirin, sword specialist, specialist bitch too. She was the worst to me, something about me thinking I was better than her just because I was pretty, if I was so good at fighting she would have cut my face to ribbons, twice!" she held up two fingers to cement her story.

"Don't worry I believe you, but now we need to think on how and when to attack, we can't just go in and start a fight without knowing where everyone is."

"Hmmm, oh there's the Gathering!" she piped up

"The what?"

"The Gathering, it when Artimus calls everyone to the main room to pray for any number of reasons, a death, a betrayal, even when sending someone on missions, mostly it's so Artimus cam flaunt but everyone id required to be there."

"Seems like the perfect opening for us...how will myself and the crew get in?"

"Oh that's easy they'll let you in anyway if you're with me, Artimus would think it a chance to recruit and flaunt himself like a peacock."

"Then it's settled." he lifted his notes and was ready to fine tune his plan when Inori's voice stopped him.

"Law-san, I have to ask a favor of all of you."

"Hou, and what would that be?"

"I don't know what we're being called here for but I doubt it's just to be given a mission, so no matter what happens, whatever you see promise me you wont act until it's time." Her eyes were pleading with him and she actually looked scared, so what could he do but nod his head in agreement.

They had docked at the island the next day early afternoon and Inori breathed a heavy sigh of relief when it was only Goldie there to greet them, Inori was quick to leave the boat and throw herself at her adopted mother "Goldie! Believe it or not I missed you!"

"Cheeky brat...I missed you too I guess." she returned the hug briefly then saw the rest of the crew walking to them "Rowan you little shit you had everyone worried! Paul nearly keeled over!"

"Sorry!" he flinched

"But I guess looking at you now it was the right decision." she smiled, then her eyes landed on Law "Oh fish legs you're here too...great." she added the last part dripping with sarcasm. Then she gave the rest of the crew a brief nod, they could only stand straighter and salute in fear. "Very nice to see you too Goldie, you smell drunk." Law's quip was swiftly followed by a finger from Goldie "But we have important matters to discuss." Goldie raised a brow and looked to Inori for answer but only received a determined nod.

"You want to do what?!" Well at least she listened till the end, Inori knew Goldie wouldn't stop them but getting her to work with them might be a different matter "You guys are crazy..." she looked to Inori who seemed downcast by her reaction "But fuck it so am I." Inori looked to her mentor and beamed brightly, Goldie just shrugged at her "What? You didn't think I'd let them have a hold on us forever did you kid?"

"No, but I thought you'd take more convincing than that."

"Why? I hate these bastards as much as you."

"You're lazy." the whole crew nodded in agreement, Goldie just scoffed at them and leaned back in her seat arms folded behind her head "So when do we attack?"

"At the Gathering, when Artimus talks his BS about our 'noble quest' and his new recruits."

"You wont all be able to get in, they've up the security since we were her last, half of you shouldn't be a problem just make sure to bring the big guy." she jabbed a finger in Jean Bart's direction "He look good." Inori looked to Jean Bart silently asking if this was ok for him, he nodded in reply "You're one of us now Inori, I be disappointed if I didn't get to join in." he grinned at her.

"Well we can't put it off any longer, best we get going." Inori said with a slight waver in her voice "But first you guys gotta change, you wont get anywhere with those Jolly Rogers plastered everywhere." with that she pulled out a pile of plain black jumpsuits then sat them on the table, she then presented Law with a navy blue hoodie with feathers all around the neckline (New world ;D) "Hope it suits your tastes, Captain."

*BANG BANG BANG*

Now that they were stood in front of the dark and menacing cathedral, Inori could feel herself shaking slightly. The sight of it alone brought up bad memories, it's high pointed steeples the sound and sight of the blood red river the flowed on past them, she hated that the most, Goldie had told her once when she was young that it was because of the red clay under the ground, that was when she was much younger and an also younger and still jealous Kirin had pushed her in saying a demon like her deserved to bathe in blood.

She shook off the bad memory when Law had placed a hand on her shoulder and squeezed slightly, she also noticed he brought her a step back closer to him, it calmed her nerves a lot and reassured her that she would be going home, back to the sub, before the days end and this house of horrors will be a bad memory only. They all looked up to a stone balcony high beside the huge dull red wood door and a head appeared over the edge, it was just Inori's luck that it happened to be Kirin "Ara, Goldie, back so soon?" even her black hair covered some of her face Inori knew those forest green eyes and spotted her "No way, you actually brought that scruffy little thing along too." it was a question it was a jab meant to hurt Inori, but she had grown numb to it a long time ago and just scoffed up at the girl "Oh my and you seem to have brought some new friends back aswell...my my, you there in the spotted hat, you're a handsome one aren't you." she purred at Law who completely ignore her and placed a hand on the small of Inori's back, much to Kirin's anger "Hmph, fine then maybe later, well I suppose you better come in then." she disappeared and within minutes the big doors slowly crept open to reveal a huge hall, the walls lined with red banners and a red carpet ran up the hallway till in met with a few steps leading in a stage like section that held a podium with the same red banner draped over it and standing beside that was a man dressed in expensive looking cleric clothes, his sand blond hair slicked back and his brown eyes caught Inori instantly, as they got closer to him Inori couldn't help but tense up and Law guessed from her reaction that this must be Artimus Amberside. They stopped before him and Goldie and Inori got to one knee and bowed deeply as he walked to them, Law and his crew refused to follow there actions, there were pissed that Inori had to do so. "Inori my dear how good to see you and Goldie together and home at last, please stand." they did so but very stiffly. He looked expectantly at Inori who was slightly puzzled until a dark look came over his face and she acted automatically "I'm glad to see you in good health, Artimus-sama." the smile returned to his face, although it was dripping with fake. "It seems you have been away to long Inori, to forget the customs on greeting me."

"I-I-I apologi-" Goldie suddenly stepped in front of her to shield her from him, a force of habit she had developed since she regrettably got them involved with these people "Forgive her Artimus-sama, she has been away so long and so much has happened, you know how young people are." To say Law and his crew were shocked at how polite and respectful Goldie was being was an understatement. But Law knew it wasn't this man's fighting power that truly scared them into submission, it was ability to get in your mind and make you think any action against him was hopeless...him and Inori were a lot a like in that aspect "Yes well, and insult is still a wound so..." he clicked his fingers "Kirin, Asuou." they appeared from the dark, Inori knew they were there but chose not to react to them, it would only make things worse right now to wound their pride "Hai, Artimus-sama." Law got a look at Asuou as he bowed beside the girl Kirin, she wore a long dark green top under a cropped black jumper and jeans and heels, a curved sword on her hip, Asuou looked tall, the height of Law probably, and slightly burly his hair was pale green a spiked back, his eyes were almost black and he wore black ripped pants and a black and white stripped shirt tucked in on one side, Law noted the studded fingerless gloves. "Take Inori through for a light training session, it seems she forgotten our ways, but remember she has a mission later so play nice." The nodded with sickening grins on their faces and walked to a door off the left of the hall and turned waiting for Inori "Is there a problem my dear?"

"None at all...Artimus-sama." she bowed, gave Law a quick glance that said 'Remember your promise.' and left toward the waiting two.

"I missed you baby." they heard Asuou leer at her and lean in, her response was a passing back hand and a 'Piss off' before the door closed behind them. The crew had to stifle there chuckles at her response, Law included, although he was worried about her he had no idea how the people did things , but he decided if she came back ok he could remain calm. "Now, Goldie, who are these guests?" Artimus locked eyes with Law after scanning his crew, they had decided to bring along Bepo, Penguin, Shachi, Jean Bart, Lucas, Nico and somehow Rowan had wangled his way in to coming along (obviously that's who'd be there :p) Law just smirked at Artimus who seemed to grow slightly irritated by it "New recruits, they met with Inori along her travels and wish to join us."

"Your opinion on them?"

"Very skilled, this one here could give the Apostles a run for their money." Goldie gestured to Law "And the half giant is self explanatory."

"I agree, well we will welcome you properly, tonight after Goldie and Inori have prayed for a successful mission, we shall enter you all in our ranks." His fake smile spread to his whole face, he was a terrible actor Law could tell all he saw was money when looking at them, not that he cared. They were left to stand there until Inori was finished her 'training' and Artimus returned with the Edda woman to brief Inori on the mission, then the Gathering would happen and they could finally act. They stood there for maybe a further 10 minutes before the door Inori and the other went through opened again, only Ausou and Kirin exited and they were laugh to each other at how easy that was and how it was just like old times. They didn't even spare the group a glance before vanishing through another door, as soon as their voices faded Goldie bolted for the first door and wrenched it open, quickly followed by Law and the others, there she was lying in the middle of the empty room on the stone floor, her back to them "Inori!" Goldie ran to her, but Law was faster, he turned the girl over and saw she had a few scrapes here and there a cut above her right eyebrow and a thin slice on her left arm "Inori wake up!" he hissed at her, Goldie knelt on the other side of her and they were circled by the crew all with worried looks on their faces "Hey kid, get up, Inori!"

"Stop yelling!" Inori opened her eyes and sat up on her own easily "Man those guys suck, Rowan you could kick their asses." she chuckled, but Law and Goldie saw the underline of pain on her face, she noticed their expressions and grinned "Don't show your fangs till you're ready to bite." they both sighed heavily and shook their heads at her.

A few hours had passed and in that time they had sat down to a mediocre dinner with Artimus and his Apostles where Edda finally appeared, she didn't look like much, old wrinkled stern face and steely gray eyes the rest of her hidden under a nun's robe, but Law was sure he could here the faint clink of metal when she walked, concealed guns he guessed. He did learn that she absolutely despised Goldie and Inori, constantly mocking them or complaining about something all with a look of pure hate on her face. Kirin was way more interested in him than what was going on, making innuendos and flirtatious remarks, she had even placed her hand of his thigh at one point but one of his glares killed that action quickly, didn't stop her flirting though "Artimus-sama, I like this one, can I train him, I'm sure I could teach him a few...positions." she purred leaning in to him Inori was on his other side and she glared darkly at the girl "Yeah right, get over yourself Kirin." Inori added

"What did you say!" Kirin screech jumping from her seat and slamming her hands on the table.

"Kirin, sit." Artimus order and she obeyed "Inori that was rude, explain yourself."

"Forgive me Artimus-sama but it was merely an observation from our training, if she put as much effort in to her training as she did her shameless flirting I wouldn't have grounds to say what I did." Artimus was silent for a moment before he seemed to accept her answer and turned a glare to Kirin "I think you should leave our new member be Kirin and focus on your training." Kirin looked like she wanted to argue back but Edda quelled that with a dark glare of her own. Artimus then proceeded to tell Inori and Goldie of their mission, it was to kill a noble on an island not far from them and bring his head back as proof, gruesome but nothing too spectacular in law's opinion. Not long after the briefing and man knocked at the door and entered "Artimus-sama, everyone has gathered."

"Very well, shall we?" everyone filed from the room and were led to the stage in front of the rest of the O'bery Lance group, Inori was right they looked like hired thugs, nothing his crew couldn't handle. Now he was just waiting for Inori to give the signal it was time to act. "My brothers, we have gathered here on this night to pray for the well being of Goldie and Inori who bare the pride of our O'bery Lance Order as they leave for another mission in our name-" he prattled on for a few more minutes before Inori whispered to him "I can't bare this crap any longer." he smiled at her and said "Thank God for that."

"Artimus-sama, if I may interrupt." Everyone gasped and looked to Inori in shock that she dare to interrupt Artimus, the Apostles were pretty much growling at her and Artimus himself got the darkest glare yet over his face he grumbled to her darkly "We will have words of this later, but very well what is so important that you must intrude on our prayers?"

"I must say people of the Lance we pray for many things here; welcoming new members, the passing of old ones, the well wishing of missions, even the weekly prayer for Artimus-sama's good health." everyone was deadly silent some were growling still, but the ones Inori cared about were smirking and chuckling under their breath and some were shuffling around the room getting in to position, much to the insult of the Apostles and Artimus "But I must confess, I have a favorite that I have always wanted to be a part of."

"Spit it out girl!" Edda screeched

From beneath her long black cardigan she pulled Goldie's golden gun from under her purple shirt and out of her jeans and pointed it at Artimus "The prayer about Betrayal of course."

*BANG*
