John Ross Ewing and his fiancée, Pamela Rebecca Barnes, soon to be Ewing laughed and giggled as they rolled around in their bed sheets, too excited about their engagement party as well as wedding. "What would you say if I suggested us moving into Southfork?" John Ross asked, fiddling with Pamela's engagement ring.
"I'd say its your decision. I'll support you through anything Mr. Ewing! I just don't wanna hear your daddy snoring every day!" Pamela replied, chuckling. John Ross smirked.
"Don't you worry about J.R, I'll deal with him and his snoring" John Ross responded. The pair then started to kiss before things escalated into something more.
Bobby Ewing had already discussed with Pamela and John Ross about the guests that were attending their engagement party at Southfork. Pamela had personally called her mother, Afton Cooper to invite her to the engagement as well as Barnes Oil employee, Bernice. Bobby had called Gary, Val, Lucy and Ray whilst John Ross had invited his Ewing Enterprises assistant, Janine as well as a few other employees from Ewing Enterprises.
Bobby had obviously invited Sue Ellen, J.R, Christopher, Pam, Elena and unfortunately Amanda to the party as he and Pamela felt everyone should be there!
As Bobby made the finishing touches to the party, his wife, Pamela Barnes Ewing had made her way towards Bobby's office. "I still don't know why Pamela hasn't told Cliff about the engagement party, I know there not getting on at the moment but he should at least know!" Pam said, explaining her in depth opinions and Cliff and Pamela's relationship.
Bobby smirked. "Now now Pam. Pamela has her reasons as do we! Don't you go saying anything to your brother or anyone else. John Ross and Pamela will tell people in their own time" Bobby responded, also expressing his opinions.
Christopher Ewing had reached his decision. On his way to Elena Ramos's house he had already encountered many pregnant people wall past him which constantly reminded him of Amanda. As Christopher reached Elena's home, he knocked on the door, where Elena immediately answered. "Hey Christopher" Elena said, hugging Chris before pecking him on the cheek. "What's wrong?"
"Look Elena, I care about you and I do have feelings for you, strong ones, I really do. But with Amanda being pregnant, and my whole family sabotaging my shares that I had in Ewing Enterprises and my current shares in Barnes Oil I feel like I need time to focus on being a father and a businessman, a relationship is just too much to handle right now, at the moment at least" Christopher explained.
Elena understood completely yet she was still hurt and upset. "So are you and Amanda getting back together then?" Elena asked, holding back the tears. Christopher sighed.
"I don't know what's going on to be honest. I just need to concentrate on my child, I'm sorry" Chris said. Elena smiled.
"I know. You'll be a great dad, you really will" Elena responded, she then slowly shut the door as he walked away.
Cliff Barnes cringed as he walked through the buildings of Ewing Enterprises. Cliff made his way to the main reception, looking for his daughter. "Excuse me, have you seen Pamela Barnes today? She's not at Barnes Oil so I thought she might have come to see Christopher or John Ross?".
The lady at the desk, Jill, Christopher's assistant shook her head. "Both Mr. Ewing's aren't at work today, John Ross and Miss Barnes are getting ready for their engagement party tonight" Jill said, stating the obvious. Cliff was gobsmacked!
It was bad enough that Pamela and John Ross were dating, but his daughter turning from Pamela Barnes to Pamela Ewing was something he could neither tolerate nor handle.
Cliff walked away in anger before being called at by Jill. "Would you like me to leave a message?!" Jill shouted, she was simply ignored.
Pam Ewing, J.R Ewing, Bobby Ewing and Sue Ellen Ewing had gathered in the kitchen of Southfork waiting for the arrivals of Gary and Val Ewing. Gary had recently moved to Dallas since he became a member of the board at Ewing Enterprises. Val had decided to stay in Knots Landing with Bobby II and Betsy, but Gary visited the, every weekend.
"I still can't believe it, my son, engaged!" Sue Ellen said, thrilled about having a daughter in law. J.R constantly huffed and puffed as he heard the mention of engagement, wedding, Pamela and Barnes. "I still can't believe your all so accepting of John Ross marrying a Barnes!" J.R said.
Pam scowled.
"How can you be insensitive. Yes Pamela and I are members of the Barnes family, so what!" Pam said, defending herself and her family. Suddenly the door started ringing and in poured Gary and Val. "Would you like me to take your coat Mr. Ewing?" Teresa asked, Gary nodded before handing his and Val's coats to the maid.
J.R scowled at the sight of Gary whilst Pam, Sue Ellen and Bobby welcomed him in. "Where's the gruesome groom to be then?" Gary asked, glaring at J.R.
"He and Pamela aren't due to arrive till later" Sue Ellen replied. Valene and Sue Ellen had never really got on in the past, but lately they had tried to make an effort. "How are Bobby and Betsy?" Pam asked, unaware of the incident that had happened last time between Amanda and Betsy.
"The twins are staying in Knots Landing, there spending the week at their friends houses so we thought we should just leave them there" Valene said, responding to Pam's question.
As Pam, Bobby, Sue Ellen, Val, J.R and Gary were talking, Christopher came through the door and made his way upstairs to Amanda.
"Where'd you go?" Amanda asked, still concerned for her husband. Christopher sighed.
"I went to break up with Elena" Christopher said, slouching on the chair in his room. Amanda stared wide eyed.
"You broke up with her?! Why?! Please don't tell me it was because of me?" Amanda responded. Christopher smiled, at least Amanda genuinely cared.
"I want to focus on being a father, as well as a successful businessman, I didn't want to string Elena along" Chris said.
"We may not be together Christopher but you are still my husband and you can talk to me about anything, even if I am the last person you want to speak to" Amanda stated before heading up to her bedroom. Christopher smiled, he was finally getting somewhere with Amanda.
Cliff Barnes headed to a Dallas prison unit where he was graciously invited in due to his well known status as an oilman in Dallas. "What can we do for you Mr. Barnes? Are you here to see somebody?" The policewoman asked, smiling at Cliff.
"I'm here to post bail actually" Cliff stated, smirking. The policewoman directed Cliff to the person he had chosen to bail.
Carl Carter.
"Carter, your out" The woman said, unhandcuffing Carl.
"What do you mean? My trial hearing isn't till wednesday?" Carl responded, following the woman.
Carl immediately stopped speaking as soon as he came face to face with Cliff Barnes. "Hello Carl. Aren't you going to say thanks?" Cliff smirked.
After a lengthy conversation in Cliff's car, the topic of conversation headed to the important part. "Why did you post bail on me, Cliff?" Carl queried, worried about his motives.
"Well even though you almost murdered my daughter I thought I'd give you a second chance. Pamela is now engaged to John Ross Ewing And I know you hate those Ewing's just as much as I do! When the Dallas police arrested you I managed to snag your gun." Cliff said, smirking as he pulled out Carl's gun from his back seat.
Carl also grinned. "I want you to kill John Ross Ewing" Cliff informed him.
"And why would I do that?" Carl questioned.
"Because my dear Carl. Did you know your sister is pregnant with Christopher Ewing's child?".
Carl was outraged.
"Now why don't you take that anger out on John Ross" Cliff said, handing Carl his gun.
Back at Southfork evening had risen and Bobby Ewing and his wife Pam, had begun to welcome the guests for Pamela and John Ross's engagement party. With Gary and Valene already in attendance, Lucy Ewing Cooper and Ray Krebbs were next to show up.
"Lucy it's been so long!" Pam said, hugging her former now current niece. Since Pam had been back in Dallas from her twenty year break, she hadn't had the chance of recconecting with her husband's family. "Indeed it has Pam" Lucy responded, grabbing a glass of champagne from Sue Ellen before making her way into the garden with the rest of the guests.
Ray nodded his head in Pam's direction before heading over to J.R "How have you been J.R?" Ray asked, a smirk on his face.
"I've been how every excluded member at Southfork has been. Crap!" J.R said, drinking his wiskey. Ray laughed before heading into the garden with Lucy and Sue Ellen.
Half hour later and many more guests had arrived including John Ross's secretary Janine, Barnes Global's receptionist, Bernice and many others. The nxt big guest to arrive was Pamela's mother, Afton Cooper.
"Hello Afton" Bobby said, welcoming Pamela's mother inside.
"So where is my daughter and her fiance?" Afton queried, looking down on the other guests.
"She's still with John Ross getting ready" Pam responded, making her presence known.
Afton grinned before sighing. "I wondered how long it would be since I'd see you. Pamela told me about how you returned a couple of months ago" Afton said.
"Yeah well, I'm here for my family now and that's what matters" Pam said, defending herself. Afton smirked once more. Afton then headed to the garden where she waited for her daughter.
Pamela Rebecca had just finished changing into her crimson strapless dress, which matched the colour of her lips. Pamela headed into the bathroom where she noticed John Ross also changed in a smart suit.
"Hey handsome" Pamela said, grinning seductively. John Ross whistled as he edged closer to his fiance.
"You look beatiful darlin'. I can't wait to show you off at the engagement party" John Ross said, kissing Pamela.
"Do we have to go?" Pamela questioned, yearning to be closer to John Ross.
"Unfortunately we do. Now come on, sooner we get there the sooner I can see what's underneath that pretty little dress of yours" John Ross remarked, heading out of his apartment door with Pamela.
John Ross Ewing and his fiancee, Pamela Rebecca Barnes headed to Southfork where they were greeted too by their guests as well as family. Afton was the first to congratulate the pair. "Oh Pammy, I knew you would get married some day! I'm so happy for you!" Afton said, hugging her daughter beyond comprehend.
"Treat this woman right, John Ross" Sue Ellen also said, congratulating her son. Every guest had already congratulated the couple and began mingling with everyone else.
Pamela headed over to speak to Pam, Bernice and Teresa whilst John Ross was busy speaking with Ray and Lucy.
During the party Amanda and Christopher also resurfaced and began mingling. "Amanda?! Is that you?!" Pamela asked, dashing towards her friend.
"It's been so long since I've seen you!" Pamela added.
"Shouldn't you be saying since I've seen you two" Amanda said, grinning.
Pamela was confused. "What do you mean?" She queried.
"I'm pregnant!" Amanda shrieked. Pamela started screamign with delight and began to squeeze her friend.
Amanda informed Pamela of all the details before going to get a non alcholic drink. Pamela then approached Christopher and John Ross. "You two better not be having a fight!" Pamela said, trying to seperate the two.
"John Ross and I have been speaking, and were going to put everything we've fought about into the past" Chris said, both he and John Ross patted each other on the back before hugging.
"Good! I still can't believe my best friend is having a baby! Why didn't you tell me sooner?!" Pamela asked, punching Christopher in the arm.
"Sorry, I didn't get round to it, with everything going on, hopefully we'll have mroe time to talk now" Christopher responded. Suddenly before everyone could finish speaking a gunshot was heard.
"What the hell was that?!" Gary asked, pulling Valene and Lucy close to him.
"Everybody listen up!" Carl Carter said, making his grand entrance.
Everyone began to leave but found that the doors had been locked. Whilst no one was looking Carl quickly grabbed Pamela and jumped onto a garden table.
"QUIET!" Carl shouted, it soon got everyone's attention. Everyone turned around to see Carl holding a gun to Pamela Rebecca's head.
"Let go of my fiance you son of a bitch!" John Ross yelled, Afton was also crying.
"You got something to say John Ross? You want your fiance come get her!" Carl said.
John Ross was prepared to edge closer when he heard something.
"Carl?! What are you doing here?!" Amanda asked, standing beside Bobby, John Ross and Christopher.
"Don't get involved Amanda! I'm going to put these Ewing's in their place! Starting with the bride and groom to be, then I'll move on to your little loverboy Christopher!" Carl explained.
No one moved, everyone was intent on saving Pamela.
Tears started to fill in Pamela's eyes as Carl pulled at her hair and aimed his gun at her.
"What's it going to be John Ross? You or her?" Carl asked, grinning as he indicated to Pamela.
"Shoot me!" John Ross pleaded.
Sue Ellen screeched at the sight of her son sacrificing his life, until J.R held onto her.
Carl aimed the gun at John Ross. "No please!" Pamela yelled.
"Shut up!" Carl said, he threw Pamela off of the table, as she smacked down onto the floor, Carl directed the gun towards Christopher and pulled the trigger. As Christopher slumped to the floor both Amanda, Bobby and Pam screamed before aiding Chris.
"You son of a bitch!" Amanda yelled, both she and John Ross ran towards Carl who was now aiming the gun at John Ross.
"Why are you doing this?" Pamela asked, from the floor.
"Ask your father!" Carl responded. Pamela was shocked. Before anyone said anything, Amanda had gripped onto a large crowbar that had been used to create a tent and smacked Carl round the head with it.
Everyone gasped.
John Ross ran over to Pamela and hugged her before returning to Christopher who was bleeding from the gunshot.
Amanda still stood over the slumped body of Carl Carter. John Ross checked Carl's pulse before glancing at Amanda.
"He's dead".

A/N: Oooh! What a finale! So Christopher's been shot, Carl is dead and Amanda is a murderer! Not to mention how Pamela might be feeling knowing Cliff was the one who set up the murder! I want to let you all know that THERE is going to be a Season 3, YAY! and will focus a lot on blending the old with the new! A lot of characters from the TNT Version as well as the original will be appearing in Season 3 and will play a major part in my story.
