Chapter 11: Not a Good Start.
The next morning Artemis woke up late for breakfast.
"Shit!" She shouted.
She quickly got dressed and ran all the way to the great hall, but by the time she got there all the food was gone.
"Dam it!" She shouted, as her tummy started growling.
"Hey, everything alright?" Rom said, coming over to her.
"Yeah, everything is just splendid." She faked a smile.
"You missed breakfast then ha-ha." Ron started laughing.
"Do you have any food on you?" Artemis begged.
"Hmm, yes I do." Ron said, smiling a wicked smile.
"I don't like that look…. What do I have to do to get some?"
"Fix me up on a date with Grace."
"Who's Grace?" Artemis asked.
"One of the most popular girls in the school."
"Oh what! Come on Ron, just give me some food! Or I will…uhhh…"
"Don't worry, I was just kidding; though I would like to go out with her, here have some polos." Ron said, smiling while handing her the goods.
"Cheers Ron, you're a star."
The bell then rang for the first lesson of the term.
Artemis had Potions first.
She walked to the classroom.
Everyone looked at her.
She sat down, and opened up her book and flicked through it for a few moments and then felt a cold shadow behind her, she turned her head and it was a boy.
"Hello, may I sit here?" The boy said.
"Sure, what's you're name?" Artemis asked.
"Matthew, Matthew Thomas."
"Cool, my name is Artemis."
"I know, I heard about you're entrance last night."
"Oh dear…" Artemis laughed.
Just then Professor Snape walked into the room.
"SILENCE!" he shouted at the class.
Everyone stopped yapping and faced the front of the class.
"Now then, today I am going to teach you how to brew the 'Love' potion, I don't want anyone testing it out unless I say so, got it?"
The class agreed.
Professor Snape showed the class how to make the potion and then set the class the task of trying to make it.
Artemis and Matthew got paired up together, but Artemis didn't mind, as she thought Matthew was cute.
"Have you added in the tumble weed yet?" Matthew asked.
"Umm, I shall now." Artemis smiled.
She placed two pieces of tumble weed into the potion.
"Good, now all we have to do is wait until it turns pink." Said Matthew.
Artemis and Matthew sat back down and wrote down some things off the board; Artemis then looked at the potion and saw it had turned blue.
"What colour did you say it had to turn into?" Artemis asked.
"Pink, why?"
"It's blue?"
Matthew stood up and looked at the potion, two seconds later it exploded in his face.
The class ran out of the room, Artemis, Matthew and Professor Snape just looked at each other.
"Woops…"Artemis giggled nervously.
"200 points from Gryffindor." Professor Snape said.
The bell then rang for break.
