Arlong got up " I admit you are strong Straw Hat but it would be better for you to die underwater because now you have to deal with my rage." Arlong said.
Mikasa watched the fight quietly while closing her wound.
"You know what's the difference between us fish-man and humans?" Arlong asked Luffy. "Noses!" Luffy answered with sincerity. "teeth" Luffy guessed again
"Race!" Arlong yelled angry as he lunged toward Luffy and tried to bite him.
Luffy barely managed to repeatedly dodge Arlong's rapidly encroaching jaws, and his situation seemed to be hopeless when Arlong pined him to a pillar by the neck, but he managed to pull his head out of the path of Arlong's jaws by stretching his neck.
This caused Arlong to bite into the pillar behind Luffy.
"His teeth will break," Johnny said confidently.
Mikasa shook her head "No, they won't" She said as Arlong's bite shattered the stone pillar to shatter.
"Luffy's body would be completely torn apart if Arlong manages to get his jaws around it. And he is made off rubber... That means it is more dangerous for you Mika-chan." Sanji said.
Mikasa nodded. "That's why I didn't let his teeth to bite my skin. He barely touched my skin with his teeth before I burned him." She said rubbing her shoulder as she sat up.
"What are you doing?" Nami asked her trying to push her back down.
"Calm down, little fox.I'm fine" Mikasa said.
That's the power of my teeth humans' can't even dream about this. This is what makes them weaker than us." Arlong said.
" I can crush stone with my fists," Luffy said.
But Arlong called it frivolous as he charged at Luffy. "Humans are weak and you can't even save yourself from drowning," Arlong said.
"I don't see this as a weakness," Luffy said as he grabbed two swords from Arlong's beaten crewmates.
"Can he use a sword?" Sanji wondered.
"No, he can't," Mikasa said.
"Then what is he doing?" Nami asked. "
Look and pay attention to what he says," Mikasa said.
Luffy just swung them wildly at Arlong, much to the fish-man's bewilderment as he dodged the random swings. Arlong countered one of the swords with his nose, sending it flying out of Luffy's hand, and Luffy swung his other sword at Arlong, only for the sword to shatter upon contact with Arlong's nose.
But Luffy wasn´t done yet as he immediately followed up his sword strikes with a cartwheel punch to Arlong's jaw, which sent the fish-man flying back and breaking his teeth.
"I cannot fight with swords, or navigate, or cook, or lie, or protect like my crewmate can and without their help I would be already dead." Luffy shouted.
"Then why would anyone follow such a weakling like you? What can you do that gives you the right to be a captain?" Arlong asked him.
"I can beat you!" Luffy said.
"How many Pirates are out there that say they would be dead without their help?" Mikasa asked Nami. "This is the reason why our crew is different from others." She said.
"Mikasa" Nami started but Mikasa ignored her as she stood up slowly.
But Arlong expressed his exasperation with Luffy's talking as he quickly grew back another set of teeth, much to Luffy's shock.
"I am a shark. My teeth grow back and the new teeth are getting stronger every time."
He then pulled out his new set of teeth and then the next one after that, allowing him to wield two sets of teeth in his hands as weapons while another set of teeth grew back in his mouth. Arlong used this ability to proclaim again about the superiority of fish-men, and he attacked Luffy with the jaws in his hands.
Eventually, he managed to draw blood, but with a shock realized that it is from a fish-man that Luffy used as a shield.
"How dare you use my crewmates as a shield?" Arlong yelled.
"You did the same to your enemies but now I have an idea how to beat you," Luffy said.
Arlong attacked Luffy by snapping the teeth in his hands, but Luffy avoided his lunges and kicked him in the jaw, sending another set of his teeth flying out.
As Arlong grew another set, he reminded Luffy that it's useless to break his teeth, but Luffy instead placed the fish-men's teeth into his own mouth. An insulted Arlong managed to give Luffy a small bite in the shoulder, although it let to him melodramatically rolling on the ground in pain.
He then blocked another of Arlong's strikes with a large piece of rock, but Arlong's strength sent Luffy tumbling backwards. Arlong then sunk a set of teeth into Luffy's side, but he quickly responded by biting Arlong's shoulder with the fish-men's own teeth.
The two combatants separated from each other, with the teeth Luffy used being left in Arlong's shoulder, and Luffy laughed " I hurt you with your own teeth."
However, Arlong, pulled the teeth from his shoulder, " Your jaws are too weak to do any real damage" Arlong said and he tried to demonstrate the real power of a shark's jaw as he bit into Luffy's right arm at the elbow.
Luffy managed to counter by throwing Arlong into the ground, allowing him to loosen the stunned fish-men's jaws and free his arm.
The two momentarily lied motionless on the ground.
Arlong got up first, noted that Luffy's throw was enough to draw blood.
Meanwhile, Luffy pulled the teeth out of his side, but when he got up, noticed that Arlong has disappeared.
"Luffy, Arlong is in the water!" Sanjy yelled to Luffy that Arlong went into the water, though Luffy initially confused his exposed fin for an actual shark.
" No one can compare to my speed when I'm underwater. " Arlong said as he flies out of the water like a torpedo with Luffy just barely dodging a fatal blow, but still being hit hard enough to send him spinning away.
Arlong crashed through the tower wall, while Luffy tumbled to the ground. Arlong is surprised Luffy could dodge him but noted that it will only delay the inevitable. He then used the same attack again, and Luffy dodged him, causing his nose to embed itself in the ground, with no ill effect to the fish-man.
Sanji is shocked at how strong his nose is, and Arlong used the attack twice more, successfully grazing Luffy both times before going back underwater. As Luffy struggled to his feet. "I will catch him and break his nose," Luffy said confidently.
Mikasa was quiet as she stood there and waited for the right moment to attack. She remembered the fight at the Baratie as she stood there and watched Luffy fight Don Krieg and she also remembered her own fight against Arlong.
"Mikasa, what are you waiting for?" Usopp asked her.
"I'm waiting for the right moment," Mikasa said before looking at Nami. "Nami do you know why I always jump in front of enemies to protect my crewmates.. my family?" She said as the flashbacks of her jumping in front of Nami to protect her from getting hit, from Mikasa rushing towards Kuro, Buggy and Arlong.
"Because no one else is crazy enough to do it!" She smirked at Nami.
Arlong went twice as fast as last time as he swam toward Luffy, aiming to skewer his heart but before he could touch Luffy.
Mikasa kicked him in his face and smashed his head against the wall of the main building.
"Great Timing, Mika!" Luffy said.
Arlong's eyes quickly reopened and they were intense and bloodshot.
"His eyes look similar to and Sea monster when it goes berserk, and Luffy's attack just made Arlong angry," Sanji mumbled.
Arlong tried to punch Mikasa but she dodged the punch, but as Arlong punched through the wall of the building, he grabbed a giant Zanbato named Kiribachi and pulle it out.
Arlong swung Kiribachi at Mikasa, and she dodged it.
Mikasa kicked him with her lightning kick and sent him crashing into the main building.
She jumped through the window into the room.
"Do you know what this room is?" Arlong asked her grinning. "This was the room where spent eight years drawing these maps for me." He explained.
Mikasa noticed a pen with blood on it.
"She is very talented I have to admit it. There is no greater happiness for Nami than to make maps for us the fish-men so that we can conquer the world. How can you and your captain uses her more effectively than me?" Arlong asked her laughing as he brought the Kiribachi's blades next to her neck.
"Use?!" Mikasa said in a deadly tone.
Arlong stopped laughing immediately.
Mikasa grabbed onto the Kiribachi's blades with one hand while she gritted her teeth in anger.
"What do you are you taking her for?!" Mikasa growled and her hands ignite.
"She is a human but I think she is still useful and I will provide for her each wish so long as she keeps drawing the maps for me!" He said grinning but his grin disappeared fast. As he saw the Kiribachi's blades melt.
His eyes moved to look at Mikasa and they eyes widened.
Mikasa was surrounded by fire and her eyes were glowing red.
She used her feet to kick the desk out and burning it.
"What are you doing!" He yelled at her.
"I know how to help my sister now. I will destroy this room and she will be able to smile again." She roared angry as the fire around her became bigger.
The whole room was on fire right now and all the maps were burning. Arlong growled as he jumped at her and bit her shoulder but he suddenly yelled in pain as he felt the flames.
Mikasa punched him on top of his head smashing it on the floor.
" Nami is not some tool that you can use! She is our crew member! Our Navigator! My sister! And I never want to see tears in her eyes again!" Mikasa growled while burning the building.
There was panic in Arlong's eyes as he saw the fire.
"What are you doing? The building is going to fall!" He yelled at her.
Mikasa smashed his head against the ground again
" I don't care!" She yelled.
The building crashed down in flames.
"Mikasa!" The Strawhats yelled.
Arlong's Park was in ruins and the rest of the building was burning down slowly.
"Where is Mikasa?" Usopp gulped in a shocked voice.
Suddenly Mikasa crawled from the ruins with a heavily burned Arlong in her hand. She dropped him next to his beaten crewmates.
Everyone looked at her shocked. Nami put her hands over her mouth as she saw Mikasa. Mikasa's shirt and jeans were burned a bit. But what shocked them was her skin. Some parts of her skin were heavily burned and heavily bleeding.
"Mikasa, what happened to you?" Zoro asked her.
"This is my weakness. I am not allowed to get too emotional while fighting. My own powers are way too strong for my body. If I get angry and use for example my fire and if my fire gets too hot it burns myself. The same thing happens with other of my powers. This is the reason why I always switch from fire to ice and from ice to lightning." She said in a cold voice.
Mikasa looked at Nami. "Nami you are my sister and no one will ever hurt you again while I'm here. I promise you." She said.
"Mikasa... look at yourself. You could've died. Why did you go that far for me? After all the things that I said!" Nami sobbed.
Mikasa smiled slightly while putting her hand on top of Nami's head. "Because this no one hurts my family as long as I'm breathing." She said.
And I will never lose anyone again. She thought as she remembered the death of her mother.
"Mikasa you need a doctor immediately," Sanji said.
But before Mikasa could disagree everything became black. The only thing she heard before she blacked out completely was a very quiet "Thank you" from Nami.
