A/N: And. I noticed that after I said that I was going to close the voting, I got three votes. So, I'm not sure if I'm ready to close the voting. I'll have to see about it in a couple days. And, if you wanna vote still, don't forget to do that soon because I'm still thinking about closing it…But. Aside from voting, thanks to everyone that read the story so far. And thanks to everyone that has reviewed and favorite and followed the story. :)
I'm sorry that this took a long time – compared to the other chapters – to update. And, also, I am going to apologize now for what happens in this chapter…I'm actually not sure why I wanted it to happen, but I started typing and this is what came out.
Chapter eleven:
Logan had to admit that he didn't allow James to touch him as much as he did before what happened. It wasn't that he didn't want James touching him, because he certainly did, it's just Logan was afraid. Every time James – or anyone really – touched him, Logan would think back to the video that he had taken from Brian and what the two girls had been doing to him. But then he would remember what Brian had said, and Logan was afraid for Monday to come. Because even though Brian wasn't going to do anything at school, you could never know; because Logan didn't think he would do anything on Friday, but yet Brian did do something. And if it wasn't for James saving Logan, he probably would have gotten really hurt.
And so, Logan had decided to spend the whole day alone on Sunday, because he didn't want to have to reject James in front of his face.
But Logan didn't like being alone the whole day, because he had gotten so used to the four of them hanging out after school the week before, he felt like they'd been friends for years. So, since Logan had been lonely, he called Carlos and asked if he wanted to spend the day together; which Carlos was quick to agree to.
It didn't take Carlos long to show up at Logan's house to pick him up, and when he showed up Logan had yelled out to his mother that he would be back later.
Getting to the car, Logan noticed that James and Kendall were in the car as well, and he realized that he should have asked if he was alone or not before asking him – and only him – to hang out. So, without wanting to hurt their feelings, he reluctantly got into the back of the car and sat down next to Kendall; James hated sitting in the back, no matter what he got out of it.
The four of them spent the whole day down trying to teach Logan how to play hockey; and if you asked any of them, he wasn't that bad. But if you asked the people that had been watching Logan fall on his ass every time that he did it, they would tell you that he was terrible – and slightly funny. But Logan didn't mind the laughing, because no one seemed to be making fun of him for liking guys.
Logan had seen a lot of familiar faces from school, and even though he expected the people to make fun of him and call him any name that they could think of, they were just laughing at how many times Logan could fall within the three hours that they were there.
After they had gave up on teaching Logan, they had decided to get something to eat at the pizza place that they had been going to for the past week and a half. Which, they had to agree; it never got old no matter how many times they ate it. Logan had chosen to sit next to Carlos; which caused a frown to form on James' mouth. And even though James was upset about Logan not sitting next to him, it didn't stop James from having a little fun with Logan.
But as soon as James touched Logan's shin with his shoes, Logan all but freaked out with the slightest touch from James' shoes. So, James retreated from Logan and decided that maybe Logan was freaked out about what happened with the two girls and Brian; which James couldn't deny, would freak him out too.
After they had lunch, they decided to go over to Carlos' because Logan hadn't met any of his family yet and Carlos was excited for his family to meet his new friend. And while they were there, Carlos' mother asked Logan about himself; which he told her everything that she wanted to know, skipping over the fact that he was interested in guys. But the second that she asked about his sexuality, Carlos quickly jumped in saying that he was interested in guys. And surprising Logan, she didn't have a problem with the fact that he was gay.
And after they spent a couple hours at Carlos' house, Logan asked to be driven home so he could spend a little time with his mother before she went to work; Logan's mother worked at night most of the time.

When Logan got home, his mother was already gone. She didn't leave a note and she didn't call him on his cell; which Logan thought was odd. His mother never left early without telling him or leaving a note for him to read. But he thought nothing of it, while he made his way to his room.
When he was in his room, he started getting ready to take a shower. But getting in the shower didn't last long, because there was a faint knock at the front door. While he made his way to the door, he started thinking the worst; he started thinking that the person at the door was someone telling him that his mother was in the hospital.
And once he got to the door, the feeling only got worse because on the other side of the door stood a cop. The cop had a blank expression on his face, and that made Logan's feeling only worse.
"Is this the Mitchell residence?" The cop spoke out as soon as he noticed the frightened boy.
"Uh, yeah?" Logan's voice squeaked, because this honestly couldn't be good.
"Are you Dr. Joanne Mitchell's son?"
"Yeah?" Logan was slightly scare as to what the cop was about to say. And the truth was, he was thinking back on the day that his father had gotten into the car wreck. Logan had answered the door that day, as well. And he knew when the cops had something terrible to tell you; which the cop looked about ready to spill whatever it is that he had to say.
"You're mother; she got into a car wreck." That was all Logan had to hear, because he didn't want to hear anything else the police officer had to say. He didn't want to know if his mother was killed or not, because he couldn't take the fact that he was about to lose his mother, just like he lost his father.
Before the police officer could say anything else, Logan slammed the door shut and ran into the kitchen to grab the keys to his house. Once he had the keys, he ran towards the front door, slammed the door against the wall and slammed it shut once he was out of his house. He quickly locked the door and made his way down the street.

James was on his way home from Carlos' house, when he spotted Logan running down the sidewalk. James wasn't sure why, but Logan looked kind of worried. Logan kept looking around, most likely making sure that no one was going to run into him. And while James wanted to get home and shower, before getting into bed, he pulled over right next to Logan.
"James, I don't have time for this." Logan sighed.
"Time for what?" James asked. "I'm just trying to figure out what happened to make you seem so worried."
"My mother got into a car wreck." Logan said, sounding slightly defeated.
"Is she okay?" James asked.
"I only know what I was told by the police officer." Logan said, finally turning to look at James with tears in his eyes.
"Well, what did he say?" James wanted to know, because he knew that Logan's father had died from a car crash and he hadn't made it out alive. Logan's father had gone into cardiac arrest as soon as the car impacted the other, and didn't last while the ambulance was making its way towards the two cars.
"Do you need a ride?" James asked, even though he knew that Logan wouldn't be able to run the whole way to the hospital; and he was about to put up a fight, if Logan was going to turn him down.
Without saying a word, Logan made his way over to the passenger side of the car and got into the front seat. He didn't want to start crying in front of James, so he turned to look at the scenery passing by them outside of the car.
Once they reached the hospital, Logan went running into the building. He didn't want to waste any time, he just wanted to make sure that his mother was safe.
"Logan! You can't go back there!" The secretary that was sitting behind the check in counter said. Logan had spent tons of nights in the waiting room, talking to her throughout his mothers shift.
"Why?" Logan asked, turning back around to face the middle aged women.
The secretary motioned for him to step closer to her, which instantly did. By this time, James had joined them in the building, panting at how fast he had to run to catch up with Logan. "Because she went into cardiac arrest as soon as she was brought into the back."
As soon as the words were out of her mouth, Logan literally fell onto the floor, causing everyone that was in the room to look over at him. James reached out to catch him, but Logan was a little farther away than he expected, and James wasn't able to catch him before Logan hit the floor. The second that Logan hit the floor, he curled up into a ball, and buried his face into his knees. He still didn't want James to see him crying.
Logan couldn't take the fact that his mother had gone into cardiac arrest after a car crash, just like his father. Logan knew that it was very rare for people to survive after going into cardiac arrest after a car crash, and it was likely that he was about to lose his mother, the same way that he lost his father. And he couldn't hold in the tears any longer.
As soon as James noticed Logan's shoulders shaking with the sobs that were racking through Logan's body, he knelt down and pulled Logan into his arms.
They weren't sure how long they sat on the ground, Logan crying into James' shoulder, but once they finally heard Logan's name being called from the secretary behind the counter, Logan stood up to look at the women. The secretary had a sullen look on her face, and Logan didn't even have to ask what she had to say to him; he knew. He knew that his mother wasn't going to make it, and the fact that it was actually happening made it worse than anything that he could ever begin to think about.
Logan felt like his whole life was being taken away from him; because up until recently, Joanne, Logan's mother, was Logan's only friend. So, Logan fell back into James' arms and cried back into James' shoulder.
XxX
When Logan was done crying, mostly likely a couple hours later, James had helped Logan out to his car and they drove towards Logan's house.
"Ja-James?" Logan asked.
"Yeah, Logie?" It was the first time that James used Logan's nickname and didn't mean it in a sexual, flirty way.
"I do-I don't wanna be alone tonight…" Logan trailed off at the end, letting James take the statement anyway that he wanted.
"That's okay. Do you wanna stay at your house, or mine?"
"Um, can we go to your house?" Logan asked, a little lower than a whisper, but James still heard Logan.
"Of course! Whatever you want tonight, alright?" James looked over at Logan quickly, and then back to the road.
As soon as James was able to turn onto a different road, he took the opportunity, because his house was in the opposite direction.
XxX
Once they reached James' house, they noticed that someone's car was in the roundabout driveway. James let out a groan, when he realized who it was, and instantly became a little off about how he usually acted around Logan.
"Who's that?"
"Uh, that's my mother's boyfriend. He absolutely hates me, and the feelings mutual." James said, opening the door. "And I just don't really wanna see him at the moment."
"Well, do you wanna go back to my house?" Logan asked. "I – uh – would be fine with that."
"My mom might get mad at me for leaving the house as soon as I realize that he's here." James said. "Plus, my mother's walking out the front door now."
"Oh." Logan said, walking up to James and clinging onto James arm, because he wasn't in the mood to meet new people at the moment.
"Hello, James! Who's this?" Brooke Diamond asked, turning her attention towards Logan. "Hello, I'm Brooke."
Shyly, Logan smiled at her in response. "Hi, I'm – uh – Logan."
"Well, let's not just stand outside!" Brooke said, looking back at her son. "Dinner's finished. Let's go eat!"
With that being said, the three of them made their way inside. As they walked into the house, Logan instantly forgot about what had just happened, because he was blown away with how elegant the house looked. Fifteen feet in front of them stood a staircase that lead to a couple doors that were closed. On the right of the stairs, there was a swinging door that most likely led to the kitchen. And on the left was a doorway that seemed to lead to the living room, which a man was walking through.
"James, I didn't realize that you were joining us tonight." The man said, ignoring the teenage boy that was standing there amazed with the house that he was standing in.
"I live here, Josh; I eat with the two of you every time you're here." James said, attitude apparent in his voice. The attitude that was in James' voice snapped Logan out of the trance that he was in, and he looked over at James.
"Sure, well there's only enough for your mother and I." Josh said. "I'm sorry." There was fake empathy in Josh's voice, and Logan heard it.
"Whatever; I'm not hungry anyways."
And with that, James grabbed Logan's hand and pulled him back outside. They made their way to James' room and closed the door once they were in the room. James walked over to his bed, and sat down, burying his head in his hands. Logan stood by the door, not sure whether to still be amazed with the house that he barely saw or upset about his mother. And as soon as he thought about his mother, he started crying again; which brought Logan out of his trance.
James immediately ran over to Logan and pulled him into his arms.
"Shhh, it'll be okay." James said over and over, trying to get Logan to calm down a little.
XxX
As soon as Logan calmed down, James walked over to the dresser and pulled out a pair of pajama bottoms and sweats. Logan grabbed the pajama bottoms, which happened to be completely blue, and quickly changed out of the clothes that he was wearing. As he was changing, he slightly remembered the last time that he had stayed here; James had helped him change that night. And even though Logan was still a little nervous from what happened with him and the two girls and upset about his mother, he made his way over to James, who was standing up straight with only his boxers on.
Once Logan reached James, Logan wrapped his arms around James' shoulders and pulled James' face down to his own. When James' face was close enough, Logan leaned forward and placed a chaste kiss on James' lips.
"What was that for?" James asked, once Logan pulled away from the kiss.
"For being a good friend." Logan said, sitting down on the bed. A couple seconds passed before finally someone made any show at being tired; Logan yawned.
"Alright, I think it's time for bed." James said, going to lay up at the top of the bed. A couple minutes passed, and Logan still hadn't moved from the end of the bed. So, James leaned forward and pulled on Logan's arm, who reluctantly allowed James to pull him up to where he was.
They both laid down on the bed, and were about to fall asleep when Logan said something.
"G'night, James."
James leaned forward, because they were facing each other, and kissed Logan's nose. "G'night, Logie."
And the kiss on the nose that James gave him, made Logan smile. And before they knew it, they both were falling asleep. And that night, Logan slept with a smile on his face that didn't leave at all during the night.
A/N: Alright, so, again, I am sorry about what happened in this chapter. I'm not sure what brought on the death on Logan's mother…but by the time that I really realized what I was typing, it was already at the hospital and I didn't wanna have to rewrite the whole thing. So, again, I'm sorry. But on the plus side, this has been one of the longest chapters.
And I just wanna say, I just updated my one shots, and if you love Jagan or even any story that has the boys as kids, then you should read the chapter I just posted. Because it's kiddie Jagan, with their first kiss. :) And I think it turned out really cute. But that's just my opinion.
Aside from that…Was this chapter good?
