Ruby's Faunus

AU! Thousands of years have past since the Grimm Wars. Four kingdoms remain in remnant. Among them is Vale where Beacon Academy resides. A school to train Hunters. Ruby Rose is accepted into Vale, and like all Hunters and Huntresses receives her very first Faunus a race created by Humanity. This Faunus is called Blake. With Blake, Ruby must combat the Grimm. 11. Intermission I- Legend of the Wraith

So this is an intermission that explains who that old guy in the wheel chair is. He actually has some major relevance to the story even though he's an OC. Plus I think we all need a break from that last chapter. This is meant to sound like the introduction. So, hope you enjoy.

Line Break

After the Ancients had nearly wiped out all of the Wraiths; their was only a single Wraith that they feared. A man who wielded a scythe. He hunted down the Ancients, slaughtering them one by one. It wasn't until they had created the Grimm that this man had finally stopped attacking. Seeing the damage that was happening to Humans, he sought to help them.

He took up the mantle of being defending Humans against the Grimm. He created the first four of the original Hunters, known as the Maidens. Telling the Maidens to protect Humanity, this lone Wraith went forward into the lands of the Ancients known only in legends and myths as Shaytan. It was far to the east, pass Menagerie and Anima.

Nothing was heard from the Wraith, days turned into months which turned into years. Then one day the moon turned red as blood. The Grimm suddenly grew wild and vicious. They turned rabid turning on their creators. This became known as the Hunt.

The Hunt lasted for nearly a decade and the world was caught in perpetual night. Finally though the Hunt ended, though not without heavy causalities from the Humans. This caused Humans to look towards the creation of the Faunus who they saw as their salvation. The Maidens knew that the Blood Moon would return and the Hunt would begin again. They placed themselves in power so that they could help lead Humanity when the time of the return of the Blood Moon.

Though he was forgotten by most, the Maidens didn't forget and so placed a single name on four tombstones in all four of the kingdoms.

So some world building. This is an intermission chapter. I'm doing some more before I begin Volume 2, but this is help explain what that elder in Ruby's mind is. He is a major character like I said. Anyways time to work on the next intermission. I kind of want to do one of Pyrrha and Zelda, another one of Ren and Jade. I'm not really intrested ironically in Vermilion and Jaune. Oh, I totally forgot about Nora and Auriel. I might just all of them in another fanfic as an OC team. I can't think though of how to turn that into a team name that means color, at all.
