"Miss! Please wake up!"
Tetra groaned awake hearing the fairy's panicked voice several times now. She tried to sit up, but her head was aching. Pain throbbed at the back of her head reminding her she had been thrown against a wall.
Carefully and slowly, Tetra sat up and leaned back against the wall. A blue light flickered in front of her face making her cover her eyes.
"Oh, I'm sorry." The fairy said as she moved to Tetra's side. "Are you okay?"
"My head throbs a lot and I can't be sure I'm not bleeding…" Tetra moaned lightly. Tetra heard the fairy move to behind her head then move back to get side.
"It isn't bleeding, but you do have a small bump."
"Fantastic, I wanted more of those." Tetra sighed sarcastically."Are you hurt…um?"
"It's Navi, and no. You protected me." Navi replied gratefully.
Tetra smiled and reached out to lightly pat Navi's head. "I'm Tetra and he's Link."
When no response followed that was when Tetra remembered the last moments. Panic surged through her as she recalled grabbing Link then being forced to drop him. His scared eyes of pure terror drilled into her mind as he fell into darkness.
C-calm down Tetra… Tetra thought to herself. He's fine. If they wanted to kill us they probably could have… We're just separated and he's fine!
"Hey," Navi interrupted Tetra's thoughts."I…I can sense Link."
Tetra looked at Navi with surprise and relief. " H-he's alive?" Her voice laced with more emotion than she wanted to give away.
Navi nodded. "he needs help though. I feel am overwhelming darkness surrounding him that isn't from this Temple…"
Tetra frowned wondering what she could mean, but a lingering feeling from recent events from her hometown bubbled up making her wish they really hadn't come here again.
I have to find him! Tetra slowly got to her feet ignoring the pain and Navi's protest. She bent down to pick up the things that had fallen off her then looked around with the little amount of light Navi emitted.
It was a very small room, with nothing in it except for a small step that led to the door. It was the only way out but it was covered in vines from every angle.
"How long have I been out?" Tetra asked walking over to the door.
"About an hour or so…" Navi replied following after.
"Next time fly into my face or something because apparently I can sleep through panic screeching."
"S-sorry…" Navi apologized looking sullen.
Tetra mentally hit herself for being abrasive. She had traveled alone for so long that she forgot it could hurt people.
Link never judged me though… Tetra thought fondly. He always tries to comfort me when I'm annoying…
She sighed softly feeling like an idiot for missing Link being at her side already. Tetra flinched as she approached the vine covered door to examine it further. The vines were too thick to pull apart with her bare hands, but a sharp weapon would easily slice through.
She reached for her scimitar only to remember it had been washed away in the well. Luckily, she had learned her lesson in the Lost Woods and started carrying a knife strapped to her leg.
"Stay close to me, Navi," Tetra instructed as she readied the knife. "I won't know what's beyond until it's right upon us."
"O-okay. I'll also try to sense the monsters like how I sensed Link." Navi informed as she floated up to Tetra's side.
Tetra nodded then sliced at the vines. She hacked them away and pulled them off before slowly opening the door. Mist flooded into the room as they walked out. Tetra hadn't a clue where they were as she walked up to the edge of the cliff to look over. Then, as she glanced around she recognized a few markers; the pillars that she and Link examined in the first outdoor room, and the waterway below them.
However…
The air was filled with a thick fog, and there was little light as if time had shifted to become night. Which, by Tetra's calculations, would be impossible. They had arrived at the temple at mid-morning, and that trip through it couldn't have been more than a couple of hours including her being knocked out.
Navi shivered fearfully on Tetra's shoulder seemingly being able to sense the evil in this place more than she wanted.
It's definitely a trick by those ghosts… Tetra thought gritting her teeth angrily. Taking a quick breath, Tetra began to walk slowly on the path.
They were on the cliffside currently from what Tetra could tell, and that had definitely been quite a high cliff so jumping off or climbing down would be too dangerous. Perhaps if she could jump across the pillars…
"Hey!" Navi suddenly shouted in her ear making Tetra twitch in annoyance. "There's a door over here!" Navi fluttered in front of Tetra pushing away the fog with her blue light. Tetra followed and glanced to the pillars on her right making note of where they were in the fog.
As they got to the door Tetra tested the handle, and was pleased it actually opened. She peeked inside and only saw darkness.
"Any danger?" Tetra whispered to Navi. Navi glowed a little brighter then shook herself. Taking that as a no, Tetra walked inside with her knife ready. Tetra left the door open to hopefully let some "light" into the room. To her disdain, the room led nowhere just like the one she woke in.
"There doesn't seem to be anything here…" Navi mumbled as she fluttered around the corners. Tetra grunted in agreement and turned to walk out only to have the door slam in her face.
"GAAH!" Tetra screamed. Navi raced to her side in panic. Tetra patted her softly getting control of herself quickly. "I'm fine, but the bloody door shut itself…"
A realization hit her that it probably wasn't an accident the door shut.
Suddenly, Tetra heard the groaning of brick and something shifting. The floor began to move unevenly under them before Tetra felt the floor move upward. Then, she fell onto her butt and began to slide backwards.
"Shoot! Navi, grab onto me!" Tetra command as she tried to grab anything to stop moving. She heard Navi rush to her side and tuck herself onto Tetra's shirt. The floor kept turning as if they were rolling inside of a box. Tetra felt herself hit the other wall before she began to slowly slide again. The groaning only got worse as it turned and Tetra felt helpless.
Then, she felt her fingertips brush against an edge and she clung to it. Yet, at the same time the room stopped turning forcing her to be clinging vertically in air. Desperately, she used all the strength she could to pull herself up, and was relieved to find herself in a crevice. Tetra plopped down against the wall breathing hard.
This room was definitely a trap… Tetra thought bitterly. We need to somehow get back to the -…
Tetra gasped as the room shifted again, but in the opposite direction. She began to slide down the crevice slowly. Reaching out, she realized it was a small tunnel and with Navi's light it looked long and narrow.
After a few moments, Tetra and Navi fell out of the tunnel and landed on solid ground. Tetra groaned at the impact which only reminded her she had a concussion.
The room stopped shifting and all became quiet as everything fell back into place. Light flickered into the room from dim candle flame allowing Tetra to see the room a little.
It was small, like most of the rooms she'd seen so far, yet it was made of stone that jutted out of the wall in an awkward structural design. She saw the tunnel they had fallen from above them and something else glowing a soft green.
"What's that?" Tetra asked pointing to it. Navi peeked out to look before slowly drifting to it.
"I-it's a treasure chest!" She beamed flying back to Tetra's side.
"…Upside-down? Wait, no never-mind, I don't care anymore. Things are happening that shouldn't anyway, so why should this be any less weird?" Tetra sighed.
The quiet air was beginning to bother Tetra, but what was worse there seemed to be no way out except the way they had entered.
"Now what…?" Tetra mumbled. She slowly stood up gripping her head. She didn't want to examine the room again, but they needed to get out fast.
"Hehehehehe!" The creepy giggle from the main room began to echo around them. Tetra looked around swiftly trying to find the source of the laugh. Then she saw it, a floating, orange flame which she previously thought was a candle in the wall.
"T-there's one here…" Tetra heard Navi whisper. Out of the corner of Tetra's eye she saw Navi, but she was glowing a strange red with yellow shimmers. That took Tetra's attention away from the torch long enough to miss it vanish. Tetra mentally hit herself for being distracted, then grabbed Navi and hid behind the jutting out wall.
The ghost's giggle rang through the whole room making it hard to pinpoint it.
How can I track it? Tetra thought with frustration. She peeked out and saw the flame dancing around again. She observed it then watched with wide eyes as a figure slowly appeared.
The creature had the shape of a person, but its body was completely black. It was wearing an orange-red, shabby dress, and a weird straw hat that looked more like hair in a tight ponytail. Yet, this ghost thing had no face except for two menacing, glowing, yellow eyes.
"A Poe!" Navi whispered. "I should have known better!"
"What's a Poe?" Tetra asked never hearing about them before.
"Oh, they're spirits of the dead that have become monsters due to a lingering attachment to the world of the living." Navi stated matter-of-factly. "They usually attack from the shadows until you spot them. After that they quickly run away."
"Oh, fantastic…" Tetra grumbled."Do they always look like her?"
"Um… No, I think she's special."
Tetra sighed even more unhappy and frustrated. She looked back at it only to see it had disappeared again. Oh come on! Tetra growled.
She looked around the room seeing only Navi's light and the light of the chest. The candle light when she entered the room had been a trick, and now with no other light source she couldn't see across the room.
"Look out!" Navi shouted as she gave Tetra a hard shove. A zing noise flew passed Tetra's ears from behind. She felt her loose, ruffled hair get tugged before there was a clank on the ground. For being a fairy, Navi had just enough strength to move Tetra forward that the object missed Tetra by mere inches.
Tetra felt her heart stop for a second before beginning to race quickly. Turning slowly and using Navi as light, she looked at the object on the ground.
It was an arrow, and tangled in it was some of her hair.
The thought that she would have died if it hadn't been for Navi scared her, and relieved her at the same time.
"Q-quick!" Navi commanded giving Tetra a nudge again. Pulling herself out of her fear-stricken state, she got up quickly and ran as another zing flew passed her.
Is that thing shooting arrows at me? Tetra thought as she pulled out her knife. If she can use corporeal things, then I can hit her.
"Navi," Tetra began as she hid behind a wall. "Can you see her?"
"Y-yes! She always glows before firing." Navi replied.
"Tell me when she's about to appear," Tetra whispered gripping her knife. Navi nodded and peeked around the corner.
A few moments went passed before Navi nodded again. Quickly, Tetra turned the corner, but knelt knowing an arrow would be aimed at her head. The zing noiseflew above her and she threw her knife at the Poe.
It flew directly at her; her eyes went wide with surprise as the dagger hit her. She screeched then went limp in the air. Tetra stared at the Poe astonished she went down so fast.
"Did she…?" Tetra began.
Sudden laughter echoed the room before Tetra was shoved onto her back. An arrow was suddenly at her face, aimed to fire.
"Bye, bye little girl!" The Poe giggle.
"TETRA! THE HOOKSHOT!" Navi screamed.
ZING!

Link groaned pitifully feeling as if his body was shaking from the inside out. He had no strength to move and when he opened his eyes he only saw darkness. Wherever he landed there was no light, and the ground was cold. It felt solid meaning he was still on stone tiles instead of dirt.
I'm still inside the Temple… Link thought wearily. What…happened?
Link tried to recall the last thing he saw. It was Tetra's terrified face as he felt himself falling. He remembers plunging into darkness then panicking and trying to find a grip, but he couldn't remember if he even hit the floor.
…Did I die? Link thought with a panic. If I did, death sure hurts a lot.
Link felt that he had survived the fall, but how is beyond him. Scared some of his bones might be broken, he attempted to move again. His fingers twitched then scrunched up. Slowly, he tried to push himself up. He managed a few inches before dropping down in a huff.
Breathing hard and still shaking, Link tried again. This time he managed to push himself up to barely a sitting position. His breath felt ragged and he began to cough. After a moment he finally settled himself down then slowly he began to move parts of his body.
Nothing feels extremely painful or loose. I guess I didn't break anything. Link thought with relief. But being bruised…
That thought scared him because he could be bruised internally and not realize it. He began to push on his body with his hands to test how injured he could be. Thankfully, he felt nothing too worrisome.
His eyes were finally adjusting to the darkness though that still wasn't much help. He saw he was near the wall which he moved his back against, but when he looked out he couldn't see out. He strained his eyes to try and make out something, and as he stared he thought he saw something moving. He began to panic pushing himself up against the wall as tight as he could. Several minutes passed of silence and no more moving Link had to conclude it was his mind playing tricks on him.
I need to calm down. T-this won't help!
Link closed his eyes even though it wasn't much of a difference, yet that made him calmer letting him focus and only hear. His mind settled down and he knew he was still alone. That wasn't completely comforting, but at least he knew there were no monsters.
He wasn't sure how much time had passed as he sat there in the dark; he just knew he was getting sleepy and that was bad.
Unfortunately, his body gave in and he fell fast asleep.

Link woke up with a start, startled he had fallen asleep. It was still dark, but somehow it felt different and familiar.
Slowly, Link stood up and immediately noticed he wasn't in pain anymore. That's not a comforting sign… He thought with a groan. Carefully, he walked forward into the darkness.
As he walked, he heard no noises, saw no shadows flickering, and worse there was no end to the darkness. He kept walking and walking with no end to this corridor either that he came to the assumption of what was happening.
He was dreaming.
Yet, the dream was too real that something else had to be going on. Link stopped and looked back the direction he had come; it was just as dark as the way he was heading.
Why is this happening? Link thought with a groan as he turned around.
So we can speak in peace without interruptions, child of light.
Link yelped loudly shuffling backwards for when he turned around two, menacing, red eyes glared at him.
He rubbed his eyes furiously trying to get rid of the glare, but the red glow was still there.
Hehe, I am here, child of light.
Link turned away closing his eyes.
Trying to ignore me?
Slowly, Link sat down and tried to clear his mind.
You can't get rid of me that way.
He began to try and think about getting out of here and finding Tetra.
I see what you're up to, child of light. That will only delay me.
He gripped his hands tightly trying to wake up so he could leave.
Trying to get back? I won't let you.
Frustration began to bubble up in his stomach. He stood up and began to walk with his eyes closed.
Just because you can't see me doesn't stop my influence.
Suddenly, Link hit something and fell over. There was no pain, but it did make him open his eyes.
The red glow was there again in the darkness.
Try to focus on me, child of light. Wouldn't want you to die.
Link turned away refusing to believe he could die in a dream world.
…Or could he?
A terrible theory popped into his head that what if he was actually sleep walking? He could end up hurting himself if he didn't wake up!
Link slapped his face to try and get out of his dream again, but to no avail.
I only wish to talk. I mean no harm, child of light.
Slowly, Link turned his face toward the menacing eyes; they looked as if they were grinning.
Yes, please do look at me. It helps to be acknowledged.
Link wanted so badly to block the voice out, but it was too alluring. As he stared at the eyes, his own eyes began to widen as it looked like a shape began to form.
That is better, is it not?
The shape reached out and softly grabbed Link's face. Link couldn't really feel the touch, but nonetheless it brought a shiver down his spine.
Will you speak with me?
Link turned his head away, refusing.
What are you afraid will happen? I cannot hurt you.
Link knew better than that as last time he almost fell into a slumber.
…Not that this situation was any better.
Hmm, maybe you just need some helpful visuals.
Suddenly, Link's eyes were covered. He reached up reacting to try and pry them off. Yet, he stopped when he saw something begin to glow.
Something, a person, began to form in his sight. The person was upright then suddenly falling backwards. He strained his eyes to see who it was and gasped when he made out Tetra.
He heard her shouting and scrambling with Navi floating with her. Then it sped up and he watch as she fell into a room looking in terrible shape. He heard that ghost laughter and saw Tetra panic as she almost got hit with an arrow.
Then, it showed her throwing her knife and hitting the ghost. She looked to have won, but she fell over and an arrow was in her face.
He heard the arrow release, screaming, and suddenly his vision filled up with red, oozing blood.
"NO!" Link shoved the shadow away from him. "You're lying!"
Link twitched and covered his mouth quickly realizing his mistake. Laughter followed clarifying it.
How I've longed to be fully acknowledged by you, child of light.
Something firm gripped Link, more firm than the shadowy figure. It was taking a more solid form.
And that was no lie. I merely showed you the eyes of Joelle, one of four Poe sisters. They were the ones that have caused you and your dearly beloved this tragedy.
Link shook his head. "No… Tetra can't be…" He began to shake not entirely sure of the truth now. From all his interactions with this entity, none of it had actually been a complete lie.
I can save her…
Link looked up.
Just give yourself to me.
"No!" Link closed his eyes and turned away. I have to stop this!
You can't stop this!
A sudden, loud noise forced his eyes open, and he immediately felt a lot of pain. An annoyed tch echoed in his ears before an immense light blinded him forcing him to close his eyes again.
"…There you are…"

Blood oozed over the floor soaking the stone red. A sharp, wheeze followed it.
Then silence with the only noise being the dripping of blood onto the ground. It seemed loud as it echoed the dark room.
A few moments passed before the room shifted. A loud thump rang into the air as something heavy hit the wall. Blood splattered the wall as the room slowly came to a stop. The glowing, green chest sat upright. Blue light hovered over to it and with a light push the chest opened.
The light disappeared inside then reappeared with a golden key that had a large, red ruby at the base handle. It glowed brightly as the blue light hovered over to a red, stained lump. It touched the figure and mumbled something.
Suddenly, wind blew out of nowhere and then stopped. The figures were gone leaving the room to fade slowly into darkness.

"Tetra, Tetra! Please wake up! Ugh, this is like déjà vu. Just wake up!"
Tetra groaned greatly as she shifted awake. Then, she screamed in pain remembering the terrible pain in her side. Carefully, she opened her eyes and sat up.
Blood dripped down her side as her whole body began shaking. She bit her lip hard as she pressed her hands against the arrow in her left side.
"W-we can't leave that in t-there…" Tetra heard Navi's shaky voice whisper.
Tetra shivered as she remembered how it got there in the first place.
The Poe had an arrow to her face, but she managed to pull out the hookshot and fire it. Luckily, as the hookshot hit the Poe, the Poe had let go of the arrow on an awkward position. It zipped by Tetra's face just barely grazing it.
However, the had made the Poe angry. It shot again and so did Tetra. The hookshot pulled the Poe forward and Tetra grabbed a loose arrow and stabbed the Poe in the face.
The Poe vanished dropping the bow onto the ground. Tetra had grabbed that and the hookshot and with the Poe surely dead the adrenaline faded bringing the pain in Tetra's side.
After that it became mostly a blur with Navi screaming.
"H-help me… U-ugh.. Take my s-scarf off…" Tetra said between clenched teeth coming back to the Present. Navi quickly unraveled the scarf around Tetra's neck. "N-now… When I start to p-pull the arrow o-out, I need you to…"
Tetra gasped and groaned greatly unable to finish.
"Don't talk!" Navi commanded. "I understand." Navi floated to Tetra's side and gave a twinkle she was ready.
Tetra nodded very much not ready, but it had to be done. First, Tetra broke the ends of the arrow on each side so it was just a pole. Then, she gripped the arrow with her right hand and held up her left arm.
Taking several, painful breaths, Tetra tugged as hard as she could screaming in pain as the arrow slid out. Navi moved quickly wrapping the scarf around Tetra's body and the now open hole in her side. Navi pulled the scarf tight and tied it off.
Blood seeped through, but it was coming out at a slower rate. Tetra fell backwards onto her back with an agonized huff breathing hard.
"W-where are w-we?" Tetra asked finally noticing their surroundings. It looked like the entrance to the Temple.
"Outside," Navi responded. "I used your light energy to teleport us away."
"O-oh that's goo— wait, w-what?" Tetra asked suddenly confused. "MY light energy? I d-don't have any."
"You do, from your necklace! Look, it's glowing now."
Tetra looked up as Navi lifted up the pendant for Tetra to see. It was indeed glowing a low, golden light.
"I think I can use this to stop the bleeding, but only that and I need your help."
"Uh… No. How am I s-supposed to do t-that?" Tetra growled.
"Believe in yourself for one." Navi replied. "And concentrate on the light… Make it glow with your mind."
"You can't be s-serious…" Tetra sighed.
"Please, Tetra. You could die if we don't try…"
Tetra closed her eyes and swallowed hard not believing it would work.
Then, Link's gentle face popped into her mind. It was that encouraging, soft expression of his that always cheered her up. She smiled tenderly and focused on that.
Her necklace began to glow brighter. She heard Navi glee happily then remove the necklace. Pain ached her side for a moment then slowly drifted away. The light faded and Tetra opened her eyes.
"It worked?" Tetra asked as she sat up suddenly feeling better.
"Yes!" Navi replied happily as she placed the neck back on Tetra's neck. "But you will have to be really careful, it could still reopen."
"Gotcha…" Tetra sighed softly."Thank you, Navi."
"You rest now, and I'll watch over you, okay?"
"Okay…" Tetra laid back down and closed her eyes to rest glad they were out of danger and safe for now.

Tetra woke up not even remembering falling asleep. Slowly, she sat up and examined her side. It was not bleeding anymore, and the pain was mostly gone. She only felt it if she stretched that side of her body, or if she took a deep breath. She winced at the sharp pain and grimaced as she looked around.
She realized Navi was missing, but the little fairy had been busy. There was water next to Tetra with some berries to eat, as well as a stack of arrows. How she managed any of this Tetra just stopped trying to understand.
As she ate and drank, Tetra began to plan to find Link.
He's first priority before taking out the rest of the Poes.
Tetra groaned thinking how there was multiple of these terrible girls. She only came to this conclusion because Navi originally said "the ghosts are here!".
How she was going to fight them off…
Wait! The bow!
Tetra picked up the bow, examining it. It was a wooden bow, but it felt very sturdy. The string was strong and where it was tied the end was red. The grip was a spiral shape with a two, blue guards. It was quite simple, but it seemed to be holding up well, and it certainly did a number on the last Poe.
"Tetra!" Navi gleefully shouted as she came over to hug her. "You look better!"
"I feel better." Tetra responded with a smile. "Thanks for taking care of me."
"T-that's what I'm here for." Navi replied, embarrassed. "Fado always told me to take care of others."
"You know Fado? Does that mean you're a fairy with the Kokiri?"
"Yes? Did you meet them?"
"Yeah, they led us here, but they didn't say there was a fairy here…" Tetra mumbled. What would have happened if we didn't go down that well…?
"Erh… I-I didn't tell anyone I was here…" Navi whispered. "I wanted to find out what was going on, so I left on my own."
Tetra scowled at Navi then sighed patting her head at seeing the guilty look she had.
"Where's your partner Kokiri?" Tetra asked trying to get her to think of someone else.
Navi shook her head. "I don't have one."
"…Oh, that's…" Tetra bit her lip feeling terrible.
"Oh don't get me wrong! I never had one." Navi smiled rubbing Tetra's face. "The Great Deku Tree said I was born special. I was to wait for the right person to give my life to, but I'm not sure who that will be…"
"Is that why you know so much?" Tetra asked softly.
"Yes! I studied under The Great Deku Tree always trying to learn new things." Navi responded excitedly. "Fado helped me too after Levia died. He was great help and always filled with wisdom."
"Levia? Was that the name of…?"
Navi looked shocked then her wings drooped. "Y-yes… Erm, it was a terrible storm and she… She saved the lives of many newborn fairies…"
"I see…" Tetra looked down before rubbing her head. "Let's… head out. I'm rested enough now."
Navi nodded and watched Tetra stand up before following after her.
Tetra had the hookshot on her belt while she held the bow. Unfortunately, she had to tie the arrows into a strange bundle in order to carry them.
"You seem to glow different colors depending on what's near. Do you know your colors?" Tetra asked Navi stopping at the doorway entrance.
Navi fluttered there slowly then nodded. "If I'm more blue I'm nearby someone that I think is interesting, if I'm green I've usually found something that is fascinating, and if I turn red with yellow tints I sense danger nearby. Fairy color change is pure and changes our whole body unlike how we're whitish with a tiny outer color."
"That's… Uh a lot to take in." Tetra responded with a tiny laugh. "For now I'll just keep watch if you turn red and yellow."
They followed the path silently back into the main room. Tetra gripped the bow tightly and pulled out an arrow nocking it. She kept the bow pointed at the ground while they looked around. Navi hovered in Tetra's sight, and luckily no color change. However, there was now one candle lit orange.
From the Poe girl I killed? Tetra wondered. She went up to it to examine and noticed it didn't radiate heat. Must be some ghostly energy.
Tetra walked over to the center and knelt down placing her hand on the ground where Link fell.
Right in the center…
"Tetra," Navi whispered, "what if we need the flames from the other Poes to get to Link?"
Tetra groaned. "I was afraid you were going to say that…" She stood up and looked around. "Can you track them?"
Navi looked like she was concentrating to do so then she slowly began to turn red and yellow.
Shoot! They're already here!
"No need, little girl."
Tetra flinched in surprise when she heard that from behind. She turned around seeing blue and green flames come up through the ground menacingly. Tetra jumped back away from them, but she winced in pain from her side.
"How dare you kill Joelle!" The blue flame jiggled before taking a shape like the first Poe girl. Her entire face was shrouded in cloth except it looked like an upside down pot. "She only wanted to play!"
Play to kill… Tetra thought bitterly.
"Let's kill her too!" The green flame shook before taking a form as well. Her head was shrouded unevenly which looked like a hoodie.
The two Poes gripped their thin arms together and began to twirl. Tetra aimed her bow at them, pulled, and released. It bounced off them due to the twirling creating wind.
They flew at her giving her little time to roll. The roll hurt Tetra more than she wanted and she groaned in pain.
"Again, sister!" The Poes giggled. Tetra got up quickly and dodged painfully again.
At this rate I'm going to reopen my wounds if I haven't already! Tetra thought with an annoyed growl.
"Tetra!" It was Navi's voice. Tetra looked up and saw Navi floating around behind the Poes. "Here!"
Tetra panicked at first at how dangerous that was then wondered what Navi meant. The girls flew at her again and she had only a little bit of energy to dodge one last time. Tetra gasped loudly and grabbed her side feeling moisture. She grimaced knowing she had to end this. Turning back to the Poes she nocked another arrow and aimed.
Navi was still there behind them and then Tetra understood.
She let the arrow fly and watched as it hit its target. The blue Poe screeched in pain as the arrow hit her in the head.
"BETH!" The green Poe screamed. All three watched as Beth vanished before the flame floated to one of the candles. The green Poe howled and flew at Tetra with speed and malice. Tetra pulled at the hookshot and shot stunning the Poe then she quickly launched another arrow killing her as well.
The Poe vanished and the flame floated away to its spot. Tetra dropped to the ground gripping her side. She began to feel dizzy and sick.
"Too much moving…" Tetra moaned lightly as she tried to stand up. "There went trying to be careful.
"Tetra, there's still one more!" Navi shouted as she floated to Tetra's side.
Tetra looked up sharply seeing a purple Poe girl already taking a form. She was larger than the others and her "hair" proofed up like two large spikes. She had a golden tiara with three red gems which was significantly different from the others.
"So now you've killed Amy as well." She mumbled calmly. "No matter. I will not let you get to the boy."
Tetra's eyes widened. The boy? She must mean Link! Suddenly determined, Tetra stood up fully ignoring all her pain. She felt adrenaline race through her as she nocked an arrow.
The Poe stared at her then giggled. "You wish to fight even if you could kill yourself? Hehe, fine little girl."
The Poe suddenly split into four and spread herself around the room.
"Oh for the love of…" Tetra groaned annoyingly. Navi immediately flew out and chased the Poes to try and find the real one. Tetra could only rely on her because moving anymore would be too much.
They danced around and threw flames toward Tetra. Tetra ducked and hid behind the walls surrounding the candles. She felt her energy draining fast and knew it was now or never once again.
"Ugh! You annoying fairy!" The Poe growled. Tetra looked up and saw one of the Poes move toward Navi who was next to another one.
Tetra pulled back, aimed, and then fired.
The arrow flew through the air and zipped through one Poe that vanished before it got the Poe that was heading toward Navi.
The Poe screamed, but didn't die. Tetra shot another arrow again at her head. This worked and they watched as she exploded in a purple cloud before the flame floated to the last candle. Navi quickly flew to Tetra's wound and pulled the bandages tightly.
"Gah! W-warning next t-time!" Tetra screamed shakily.
"Sorry! No time for that." Navi responded with panic.
Then out of nowhere, the ground began to shake and an elevator lifted out of the center and stopped. Not even thinking twice about it, Tetra and Navi hopped in. The elevator shifted and drifted downward at a fast speed then stopped steadily on the ground.
It was dark, too dark to make out anything. Yet, this did not falter Tetra. She concentrated on finding Link and her necklace glowed blindly, lighting up the room.
"T-this way!" Navi shouted leading the way. Tetra followed as quickly as she could and heard mumbling as they came up to a barred door.
Tetra heard a loud "No!" and looked inside seeing a figure against the back wall.
Link was trembling with his hands holding his head tightly.
Quickly, Tetra shoved the door open with great effort not even caring it was not locked. She held her necklace up to look at Link's terrified face.
"…There you are…" Tetra sighed relief.
"T…Tetra?" Link asked weakly.
"Yup." Tetra responded then felt all the adrenaline fade away from knowing Link was safe. She dropped to the ground and began to breathe heavily.
