Chapter 11: Sacrifice
My back moved with pain as I grabbed my bruises. It hurts.
Next Day:
"Welcome the new transfer student." The teacher announced.
"I'm Piko!"
"No last name?" A kid in the class asked.
"Confidential information." He smiled.
"Here's the long awaited, Kagamine Rin! Welcome her back from the two years she missed!"
"YAY!" The class cheered.
Lunch Break:
It was just Piko and Rin. The whole day. He kept clinging on to her. He kept clinging onto him. They ate lunch on the roof.
"You know Rin. 5 more days."
Rin cried a little. "5 more days?"
"We only-" He paused for a bit. "I only have 5."
"What are they talking about 5 days?" Miku asked Kaito behind the doors.
"No one knows." Kaito answered.
"Can I tell you something Piko?" Rin said.
"Sure."
"Ever since I woke up. I think I'm starting to remember some things. Though vaguely. Something about Kuro and Len."
Piko grabbed her into his arms. "Shh. You only need the memories of us."
"That's true."
"Len I heard your dad came back." Gakupo smirked.
"You called him didn't you!" Len grinded his teeth.
"Who knows? Maybe I just told him you were crying too much. Crying is a no, no for men." Gakupo teased.
"Your just a bully stop."
"Am I really the bully? I'm not as bad as you."
Memories rushed down of Rin crying at once.
"I don't know. I'm screwed!" Len wailed in anger.
4 days later:
"Hey Piko." Rin sobbed. "You're going to leave me?"
"It's my destiny. I told you, I'm the heir to my bloodline. I'm going to be sacrificed at 12AM."
"Sacrificed?! You mean dead?!"
"I know. I wasn't born to be sacrificed."
"Your family! I-it's not even a family!"
"Thanks for your help. But they're generous enough to let you watch the sacrifice tonight. Make sure to come okay?"
...
"Hey, remember when we 'heard' Piko say something about 5 days?" Miku asked as she cuddled into Kaito's arms.
"Tonight's deadline assuming the deadline is at noon." Kaito responded.
"I wonder what he's talking about though." Miku wondered.
"Probably 5 days to die?"
"STUPID! How could you think he's going to die?!"
"Sorry. Maybe to transfer schools?"
"That's a way better thought than him dying."
"Did you do your homework?" Kaito grinned.
Miku blushed, "I had a concert. Can I copy?"
He brought out his notes as she rushed to write before class started.
11:55PM at the shrine:
"I'm a human right?" Piko asked, trembling.
"Yes your human. And you will always be human." Rin sobbed.
"I'm not just some tool."
"You were never a tool."
"TIME TO START!" A man yelled clapping his hands.
Piko rested his back on stones and closed his eyes. As the priest started chanting his gibberish, Piko's tears fell.
"Stop." Rin was about to leap and just rage on them until she remembered. "He wanted to do this. This is his choice. If he wants then I will not interfere.
"Rin. Can you hear me?" Piko mouthed.
"I can hear you perfectly!" Rin said in the right amount of volume so that he could only hear.
"Remember all our memories. I love you." Piko's body started to disintegrate into ashes.
Rin cried on the spot immediately. "Idiot. I love you too."
Next day:
"I don't want to go home." Len sighed.
"We'll get in trouble," answered Rinto.
"I don't want to meet him again!" Lenka complained. "He tried, he tried!" Then she burrowed her head into Rinto's chest.
"I'll go in first 'kay?" Len said.
"Welcome back!" His dad smiled with the belt again.
"Dad, stop."
"You know, I've had a really hard time at work. They want to make me beat them up. You know how much I have suffered?!"
Len put on a poker face.
"I see you. Don't. Maybe I'll help you know." Mori smiled.
Len's scared face. His grin. Not a great mix-up.
Rin sat on the bench looking at the children playing at the park.
"Piko." Her eyes watered.
"What's wrong with Piko?" A teal-haired girl asked.
Two heads appeared on each side of her shoulders.
"Kaito. Miku," she moaned. "Piko! Piko! He's gone!"
Kaito and Miku looked at eachother. Then Miku hugged Rin.
"It's okay." She said with a warm tone.
"PIKO DON'T LEAVE ME!"
Okay. So you guys are going to be like, "Why is Piko dead already?"
Well I guess I could use his flashbacks so Rin would cry. 'Why would I want to make Rin cry.' I ask myself. I don't know. But I didn't really know what to do with Piko when I introduce them. Remember guys, I don't plan my chapters out. Chapters are full of off my head ideas. So, yeah. Basically he's dead. And he will not be revived because this isn't a shoujo fic that can revive.
