Chapter 11: A familiar Face

Alex got up turning to Lexi he said "Im gonna go talk to Hatsune for a minute ok"

"Yea, sure" she replied

Alex walked out into the lobby of the dorms where Hatsune and were sitting talking, Mason wasn't there so Alex presumed he had left. Approaching the two girls he said "Hatsune could I talk to you for a minute?"

"Sure" she replied getting up, "Let's go outside, it's getting a little stuffy in here"

"Fine" Alex replied

They both walked out into the late afternoon sun, walking over to a small bench just a bit away from the doors to the dorms Alex looked down at Hatsune, she was smaller than most of the girls he had seen around, she also looked frail and week although her personality showed otherwise. Sitting down Alex said "Thank you, if it wasn't for you she wouldn't have made it".

"There's no need" she replied "It's what I'm here for"

"Where did you learn about medicine and how to operate on people?"

"That's a long story, I suppose it started back when I was still alive. I was diagnosed with cancer and bed ridden in hospital for about two years, in that time my brother would visit me, he would always bring me a Manga every time he came to visit, I don't think he realised but he would never buy the next volume in the story so I was always starting from a new point or a completely new story altogether, anyway I usually finished them very quickly and would end up bored so I started reading whatever I could get my hands on and being in a hospital the most conmen thing around was medical journals. I found them so fascinating, you see I was bed ridden so I never got to go to school so this was a perfect chance for me to study up in case I ever got the chance, and I did, I got to come here and experience what school was really like, my brother was right it was boring, most of the science stuff I already knew and most of the maths just board me to tears, the only real subject that kinda intrigued me was English, if you couldn't tell im Japanese, I never studied English before and don't ask me how but when I woke up here I could speak it and understand it; But... I couldn't read or write it, so it was really helpful in that aspect, but like the rest once I had learned all there was to teach it got pritty boring too, that's when I met Kaia, she was new and didn't understand the world so I took her in and started teaching her about first aid, it was nice to have a human friend to talk to instead of the NPC students. That's about it really."

Alex looked down at her, this little girl who had never went to school was able to learn medicine from just reading medical journals, she was amazing. "Thats pritty awesome but why do you need to know so much about first aid and medicine, don't humans, us, don't we heal?"

"well don't the events of today answer that for you?"

"Well, yea I suppose but how often does something like this come up?"

"Before this? Never. But you know how mason is, he likes to be prepared for anything"

"You're not wrong" Alex laughed "Lets head back in"

"Sure" Hatsune replied

Both of them got up and started walking towards the doors when suddenly

"Hey!, HEY ASSHOLE!"

Turning around the saw him, it was the head boy, he looked furious, Alex stopped, looking towards the head boy he saw for a fraction of a second a smile break out across his face and then he was gone, he literally vanished into thin air

Alex panicked "Where did he go?"

"Right here"

Alex spun round to be meet by the head boy facing him, before Alex could react the head boy had his hand around Alex's throat, he was unbelievably fast.

"Leave him alone" cried Hatsune

"Shut up" said the head boy and with a flick of his wrist knocked Hatsune back onto the ground, she wasn't moving

"what...what did you do" Alex chocked out

"Don't worry I just knocked her out, its yourself you should be worried about"

Now the head boy raised Alex up off the ground, he was as strong as he was fast, he raised his free hand and in it was a small ball of what appeared to be numbers surrounding a tiny purple core, the head boy looked at it then back to Alex, "Open wide" he said as he squeezed Alex's throat.

Alex kept his mouth closed, the head boy then dropped him before punching him in the gut, he then grabbed Alex's mouth and forced it open before putting the small black ball into his mouth and forcing him to swallow it, the head boy then punched Alex onto the ground and laughed, Alex's vision started to blurr and his entire body started to ache.

"Enjoy" said the head boy in malicious voice before he flashed out and was gone. Alex's vision became even more blurred and he was about to black out, the last think he saw was the doors of the dorm opening and what he assumed were people come running towards him before his vision went completely black and he passed out.

As Alex started to come around he could hear voices

"So what did he do to him?"

"I'm not sure he seems fine but, appearances can be deceiving"

Alex opened his eyes, standing over him he could see Mason and Hatsune

"Dont move Alex"

Turning his head he could see Hatsune leaning over him checking his pulse.

Alex coughed pushed her away and said "Im fine" he sat up in the bed and turned to face Mason, "What did he do to me"

"That's what were trying to figure out, now sit back down and let Hatsune work" Mason then turned and nodded to her.

"Ok" said Hatsune, "lay down again and let me check you over".

Alex did as she asked and lay there as she gave him a full medical check up. When she had finished she said "I can't find anything wrong with you, just what happened after he knocked me out?"

"Well", Alex replied "He made me swallow something, it was like a ball of numbers, it looked freaky as fuck.

"Wait, a ball of numbers?" asked Mason

"Yea" replied Alex

"Shit, Shit shit shit shit" he raised his hands to the sides of his head, "FUCK! That bastard"

"What wrong" asked Hatsune, "What was it?"

"A code" Replied Mason, "It was a fucking code"

"What do that mean, What did he do to me" asked Alex franticly

"I don't know exactly, but I've got a good idea what"

Mason approached Alex and asked "Do you trust me?"

"What?" Asked Alex

"Do you trust me?"

"I do"

"Good" said Mason, raising Alex's arm he opened a drawer and took out one of Hatsune's scalpels, "This may sting a little"

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH, What the FUCK"

In that moment mason had taken the scalpel and run it down Alex's arm leaving a huge gash and blood in its wake

Turning to Hatsune Mason said "Stop the bleeding, but don't stitch it"

Hatsune did as mason asked and tightly bandaged Alex's arm
