I closed my eyes and woke to Isaac's massive, heated body wrapped around me. Completely wrapped around me. I was pressed into the bed with his leg thrown over mine and his arms wrapped around me. He was half rolled on top of me and I was pinned to the bed. I couldn't move.
"Isaac," I grunted, trying to shift my body to move the incredibly dense boy. I wriggled and he groaned low in his sleep. He pulled me tighter to his body and buried his face into the back of my neck. His hot breath burned my flesh and made me even more uncomfortable. The boy was a furnace. I jerked my elbow back and caught him in the ribs, grunting again, "Isaac. Wake up."
I wriggled, trying to make it loose but only managing to roll over onto my back so that I was staring up at him. He took this chance to bury his face in my neck and snort loudly. I wriggled a hand free and pushed at his shoulder. I snapped, "Isaac, wake up!"
He made another noise in his sleep and I let loose a frustrated sigh. I reached up and placed my hand on the back of his neck, where his skull met his spine. I massaged it for a second and then commanded, "Wake up, Isaac! Wake up!"
The jolt from me to him shocked him awake and he rolled off of my body with a mild roar. His eyes flashed from his normal entrancing blue to his glowing wolf golden. He sat up with a yelp and I followed him quickly to rest my palm in the middle of his bare chest and command, "Stop!"
He shifted down quickly and stared at me, his eyes confused and fuzzy. He asked, "What happened?"
"Are you always this heavy of a sleeper?" I demanded. "Seriously, dude! You weigh like a ton!"
He rubbed the back of his neck ashamedly and winced, "Not usually. But I usually don't sleep with somebody as calming as you. You're like the most calming person ever. Is that why Stiles sleeps well with you?"
"Kind of. Are you alright? I kind of shocked you awake."
"How did you do that?"
"Umm….I made a small connection with you and then I used it to command your body to wake up so that you'd get off of me. Don't worry, the connection isn't permanent. I didn't build a lasting bridge. Just a small one that lasted long enough for me to order you to wake up."
"I'm not worried," he promised with his usual casual grin. "Scott trusts you, so I trust you. Come on, sweetheart. Let's go put on a show at breakfast."
"Well, if Steffi's as aware as she used to be, we already put on a show. Isaac, you slept in my room last night and roared this morning. I think she's going to assume some things about it."
"Sorry."
"You're fine. We want her to think things. We want her to be distracted by things like this so she won't think too hard on other things. Come on. To breakfast we go."
"I'll cook for you."
I smiled and led him downstairs. Steffi was still asleep on the couch, snoring, and Mom was at the kitchen table, drinking coffee. When we walked in, she looked up at us and murmured, "Baby girl, you know I don't dislike many people, but I truly dislike that young woman. She snores like a beast and she got pen on my table."
I reached over and traced my fingers over the pen marks on the table. I put my hand palm flat on them and murmured, "Ink to air."
When I removed my hand, they were gone and Isaac grinned. "That is so cool! Did you evaporate them?"
"Yes, but shh. Remember, I'm not supposed to be a builder," I admonished kindly.
"Later, we'll talk about the two of you sharing a bed last night," Mom informed us, letting Isaac's face turn red and me roll my eyes.
"Mom, you can't really scold me now," I teased. "I've shared a bed with Stiles twice and you've had no problem with it."
"Well, sweetheart, you served a purpose. The purpose you served last night was minimal compared to what you generally do."
"What do you generally do?" Isaac asked.
"I help Stiles sleep. He doesn't get enough sleep, and it's getting really bad for him."
"But…" Steffi's snoring stopped and Isaac listened intently for a second before he froze and moved behind me. He draped his arms around my waist, casually rested his chin on my shoulder, and resumed talking just as Steffi stumbled into the kitchen. "So scrambled or fried eggs?"
"Are you guys talking about breakfast?" Steffi collapsed into the chair next to Mom and disgust briefly crossed Mom's face.
"Yeah, we're going to miss a few days of school while you're in town so Isaac decided to make a welcome breakfast for you," I announced.
"I just need to run into town and pick some stuff up," Mom chimed in. "Why don't you join Carter and Isaac for a pre breakfast jog while I go out?"
"I have some clothes you can borrow. You too, big guy. Let's get you dressed." I nudged Isaac.
"Separate rooms," Mom ordered. "Go on, Steffi. Carter's just a bit smaller than you."
I led Steffi upstairs and handed her some of my workout gear before ushering Isaac into Brian's room. I whispered, "Mom's going to visit Bri while we're running. Get some clothes for him. You were supposed to take him some last night and you never did."
"Well I didn't expect to fall asleep like I did."
"Just help me pack and listen for Steffi." I started digging through Brian's drawers and tossing clothes to Isaac to shove in a bag on the bed. When I found the porn mag at the bottom of the drawer, I made a disgusted sound in the back of my throat.
"Oh!" Isaac laughed. "That's why he wanted me to bring him clothes."
I threw a pair of socks at him, bouncing them off the side of his head. He turned towards me and warned, "You shouldn't have done that."
"Isaac, what are you doing?" I hissed.
"Steffi just came out of the bathroom and is on her way to your room. She'll check here next. I'm going to make sure she's focused on us instead of the bag of clothes we're packing."
I listened carefully and heard the sound of my bedroom door opening and closing. I growled, "That bitch is trying to catch us in the middle of something."
"Let's give her something to catch." Isaac was ridiculously fast as he grabbed the bag of clothes and shoved them into the closet. Then, he made his way over to me, bent down to grab me just below my ass, and yanked me up his body so that my knees were straddling his hips. He ordered, "Kiss me."
I draped my arms over his shoulders and pressed my lips to his. Completely standing on his own, not leaning against anything, Isaac supported my weight by only holding onto my thighs, and I kissed him, hard and long. I lost myself in the kiss. I tangled my fingers in his hair. I pulled away so I could find his bottom lip and pull it in between mine. His hands tightened on my legs and he growled deep in his throat. He pulled away and said hoarsely, "Carter, don't do that again."
With that sentence, I realized what I was staring at, what I was looking into. Lust. I hadn't seen it directed at me before. Even with Stiles, there wasn't lust. There was innocence and sweetness and patience. With Isaac, it was burning heat that exploded in my hips. I replied, "You like it."
"Me liking it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that you shouldn't do that again," he replied honestly and I bent my head down to kiss him into silence. His hands tightened on me again and he pulled away to say, "Have you ever even done this before?"
"Nope. Shut up."
I kissed him again and the door flew open. Steffi cried out, "Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't know that you were…."
"Right," I murmured. "Of course you didn't."
Isaac slowly slid me back down his body and we both knew to look embarrassed that we'd been caught. He stammered, "Sorry, Steffi. We just got a little caught up in what we were doing."
"It's okay. I just didn't think about it. I didn't think about coming in here."
"It's fine," I sighed. "We need to get dressed anyway. Isaac, I'll let you finish up in here."
Isaac leaned down and kissed me quickly before ushering me out of the room. Steffi and I were left on the other side of a closed door. She apologized again, "Sorry about that."
"No, it's fine," I assured her. "Why don't you go downstairs and we'll meet you in a minute."
She went down the stairs and I went to my bedroom to change into my running gear. I finished quickly and met Mom and Isaac outside Brian's bedroom door. When I got to them, she sighed, "Baby-girl, my baby-girl, this is going to be really frustrating while we're pretending to do this. Must the two of you make out every chance you get?"
"No. But it helps to distract Steffi from stuff."
"Yes, it does, and the two of you are having too much fun with it. This is the first time I've ever truly had two hormonal teenagers living in my house. Ugh."
We ignored her statement. Isaac informed her, "We're going to take her running out into the woods. Generally, I only take Stiles on the three mile path. We're taking her the full six miles."
"You're going to kill her," Mom warned.
I shrugged and replied, "We'll be gentle."
"I'll give all my love to your brother."
"His bags are packed on the bed."
Mom and I hugged and then Isaac and I took hands to walk down the stairs. I said cheerfully, "Come on, Steffi! Let's go for a little run."
"How far are we going?"
"Not too far. It'll be a small run."
