Hufflepuff- This story is all my own original idea, I didn't get the Vivian idea from anything but I guess when I think Vivians (Supernatural beings who have the potential to be evil) it kind of reminds me of Harry potters slytherins. Lol, But other than that, I made Vivians up on my own! Glad you like the Janny parts!
JermainsGirl- Thanks for the review and keeping up with the story! I appreciate your feedback! Here's your update lol!
NEXT CHAPTER.
"Hey." grumbled Manny, sitting with Emma at their kitchen table. "Rough night?" she asked her with a small smile. She sat down, fixing her new bangs.
Emma looked tired, and wore her black yoga pants and a baggy grey shirt that hung off her shoulder. "I hate this place." she mummered. She was putting on tall grey leather boots for school.
Manny teased her, "Ya, but you wouldn't of met me if you didn't come."
They smiled to another and Emma shrugged with a nod, true.
"Or Sean." Manny added under her breath.
Emma groaned and put her head into her hands, "Can we please not talk about him? I'm.." she cleared her throat, swallowing the lump in it, "I'm moving on."
"Oh really?" snickered Manny. She'd love to see how that worked. . .when it wasn't.
The door knocked and Emma ran her fingers through her blonde hair as she got up to go get it. She grabbed her school books and opened the door.
"Hey Em." Peter Stone grinned.
She barely smiled, and glanced back at Manny who had stood up to see who it was. When Manny did see, she put her hand on her hip and gave Emma an annoyed look. That was not going to work, as Emma probably hoped it would. Peter was no Sean Cameron.
Emma walked out and shut the door behind her and Manny let out a groan, "BOYS!"
((((***)))
"Mrs Kwan has this huge test waiting for us in history. You ready for it?" Peter asked Emma, standing closely to her at her locker. He was so happy that she finally took him up on his offer, he'd been well, stalking her for weeks.
She let him take her out for breakfast on a date.. and even though she didn't dress up that nice, or even smile alot, he was still going to let it slide.
She noticed the small space between them. Funny how Sean's presence this close hurt her, yet she still preferred it over Peters. "Yea.." she finally answered, forcing a smile.
From behind, Sean was unknowingly coming up to his locker a few feet down from hers and noticed them. He stopped slowly and eyed the scene up and down with bitterness clouding his eyes. Peter had leaned in and kissed Emma's cheek.
"I'll see you in class!" he said and left.
Emma watched him go and took a deep breath before turning toward her locker.
"I didn't know you guys were dating."
She gasped by his voice, and the tone of it cut deep. She looked over to his locker and he was leaning his side on it, his head slightly leaning on it too which showed her he's been standing there long enough to see and know what this had looked like.
Her heart clenched. He lifted his head up and looked where Peter left. Emma had forgotten how to speak, nor knew how to explain. Did she even have to? Lets just face it, they couldn't be together. It was literally forbidden.
The bell rang and she looked away from him, biting the end of her tongue. "I got to go."
"Ya," he agreed, his eyes burning into hers. Has she mentioned Sean could have the coldest eyes when mad? Damn those cold blue eyes. "Gotta go meet Peter in class, right?"
She painfully avoided his eyes, "Sean-"
"Guess we won't be doing that spell we found then?" he asked and shrugged, looking away from her now, "Guess it's not important anyways. Why the hell should I care if we can hang around another or not?"
Emma almost flinched.
He spat once more before he left, "It's not like you mean anything to me."
Emma's eyes watered, watching him storm off. Manny and Paige had to literally jump out of his way before he ran them over and Manny turned to see Emma standing where he had come from, biting her trembling lip. She raised an eyebrow at Emma, taunting her that this was her fault.
Emma scoffed and sadly leaned back on her locker before sliding down it and groaned. She pouted, pulling her knees to her chest as the rest of the students walked by her.
"Way to break his heart, Nelson." came Jay's voice. She looked up and saw him standing over her and leaned his shoulder on her locker.
"Go away." she grumbled. She then paused and looked back up at him weirdly, "I didn't-"
"Ya, no, he doesn't care about you at all." Jay sarcastically said, "And you don't like him either..and you're also not mooping on this dirty ground right now over him. In front of everyone.."
Emma got up and growled, "I hate you."
"Anything for a friend," he said with a grin and got to it, "Okay. So! There's a spell? Where do we start?"
Emma eyed him closely and crossed her arms, "Why do you want to help?"
"It's charity week." he taunted and rolled his eyes, "Less questions, more action. Where's the loud mouth I know and loath but am tempting to work with to make this work?"
"Don't you have a fiance to tend to?" Emma taunted him back.
He cringed with a fake hiss, to then narrow his eyes, "Low blow." How did everyone know?
"Pay back."
"Fine, fair enough." he stepped closer to her and looked around to make sure nobody was looking. "I was thinking, if you get a powerful spell like this to work...and I help you? You can maybe help me out."
Emma looked at him wearily, "What do you want?"
"I want Manny back." he said firmly.
Her mouth parted. "B-but your pack won't let you."
"I'll go rouge."
"They'd like..kill you won't they? In our history class-"
"Yes Nelson, the pack turns on you if you leave them. I'm willing to do that now, for Manny." he paused, a little worry entering his eyes, "The longer I've been pulled away from them, and wanted to disobey my own Alpha...the more I see I chose Manny over them a long time ago."
"Shame you let go of her before you knew it." Emma taunted, but felt bad for him. She eyed him, seeing the shame wash over his face and he nodded.
"So?" Jay asks, "Will you help me?"
She took a deep breath and cringed, "Manny's my best friend here. I don't want to wreck that-"
"She still loves me, Emma. I know she does," he looked at her desperately, and looked up to try to explain this, "We're imprinted. I know I'm hers and she's mine too. We belong together."
Emma's mouth dropped, she didn't know that. Manny never said anything.. how the hell did two MATES who were imprinted break up?!
Jay looked behind him before he stepped closer and whispered, "It's literally been pain since I've walked away from her. My wolf cries every night for her. I'm moody every day, I'm stuck with Alex! And I'm trying to help your shitty love life with Sean just to keep me distracted. I need her back. I-I love her."
Emma closed her mouth and slowly smiled, smacking his chest. He groaned a little and growled after. "That's all you had to say, Romeo!" Emma rolled her eyes smiling.
"You'll help me get her back?"
Emma shrugged simply, "I need a distraction too. You know, from my 'shitty love life'"
Jay chuckled.
((((*****))))))
Sean had stormed almost out of the school when he paused and narrowed his eyes to the Library. He didn't care that Emma didn't want to do this anymore, he still did.
And he couldn't stand having to watch her with Peter.. suddenly Sean felt the need to swallow down his blood third. He'd rip that boy open if he could but he couldn't. He was trying to be good.
He went into the Library which was dark and stranded. He went through what felt 20 isles before he got where he wanted to. Books from 1800's.
"What you lookin' for, Sean?" came a voice.
Sean almost jumped out of his skin, glaring over his shoulder and his eyes turning black, fangs out. Manny giggled a bit, putting her bag down on the table between them.
"What are you going to do?" she taunted, swinging her body onto the table to sit on it, "Drain the blood out of your girlfriends best friend?"
Sean froze, and his eyes flickered away from her and back, "She's not my.."
"Yeah but you wish." she taunted.
His blood boiled, damn this stupid girl, "No I-"
Manny tapped her head, noting she could hear thoughts. His thoughts. And all his thoughts were all about Emma. Emma, Emma, Emma. She sighed romantically and he growled and faced the books. After a moment of stubborn attitude, he finally gave up. It was obvious he had fallen for Emma, hard, cause even a seer who wasn't usually able to read his thoughts, could.
"I need to find a way to speak to the dead." he told her.
"Easy. Summon a ghost right now."
"Yea but how..and who? One of the originals?"
She nodded and got her phone out. He gave her a wierd look and she scoffed, "I'm ordering pizza... What? This is going to take a LONG time."
(((**))))
Emma was drifting off in class, she hadn't known it until the next time she opened her eyes, she stood in a field. Was this a dream?
"what the.." she drifted. The grass blew around her, the warm air was felt against her skin. It felt so real. She looked around the hills she stood in, standing by a cliff. It was beautiful, but to the left of her she could see old equipment from the 1800's. .where they hanged witches. The wooden stands, the thick rope.
"Don't do it." someone said.
Emma turned to look at another blonde woman and she gasped sharply at how close she stood to her and saw how black her eyes were.
"Don't do it, Emma." the woman spoke again and shook her head frantically, "I don't have much time, but you need to stay away from that vampire. Most of all, you need to stop your little friends from opening her crypt."
Emma shut her eyes and shook her head. Was this real?! "What crypt? Why-Why can't I go near Sean- he's harmless, really-" she had so many question, and she felt it in her bones that this woman had the answer.
The woman bitterly snickered, "Don't they all seem harmless?" she pointed between them, "Don't we? Yet we are the most powerful witches to mankind and we could raise hell if we wanted to.."
"I-I'm not evil though. I wouldn't.. .where am I?" Emma asked.
"1842. Witch Trials."
Realization struck Emma, "You're Elaine. The first witch."
"I'm your Ancestor." she cupped Emma's face, and tears shimmered her eyes, "Every original descendent of mine has a safety spell over them to protect her from vampires. He'll never be able to touch you."
"But-"
END OF DREAM
Emma snapped out of it and woke up when the bell rang. She lifted her head up from the desk and sat up straight, wide eyed and fear struck her eyes.
That was until a realization hit her. "Safety spell."
"Huh?" Jay asked, looking over from packing up his notes. She grabbed his arm and just pulled him to follow her. "Take it easy, psycho!"
"I know what to do, you ass!"
(((((((*********)))))))
Sean had come back with a book in his hands, an old familiar looking book. "What's that?" Manny asked.
"I may of stolen the diary from the lobby.." he admitted and Manny's eyes bugged out.
She looked around the library making sure they were still alone, "Sean Cameron, you are a crazy son of a-"
"Lets just get this over with." he snapped and opened it. "Who do we summon?"
Manny was looking down at it too as he went through some page, "Well..Lets NOT call upon the first witch ever. That could lead to some problems."
"Good thinking." he agreed.
She tilted her head and pointed to the first daughter after Elaine, "Annabell then?"
"Yea." he took a deep breath and backed away from Manny. She's been practicing this spell for a while now since he went to go steal a book. She crossed her feet under her butt as she sat on the desk and closed her eyes.
"Annabell. Daughter of Elaine, mother of Rebecca. Do you hear us? Annabell, daughter of Elaine, mother of Rebecca, and witch decedent number two, do you-"
A voice snapped at them, "I was never a witch."
Manny shrieked and got up off the desk, running to and behind Sean who grew his fangs out just in case. They both stared back at a pale brunette woman, who wore a corset dress. She had a crystal around her neck and she had big hazel eyes. Eyes that reminded Sean of somebody.
Sean and Manny glanced at another knowingly. This was Annabell.
"We, we don't mean to bother you. We just had questions" Manny said.
Sean eyed the woman..she looked almost see through. When she moved, her body misted into the air a bit. Wow. A real ghost.. you don't see that everyday.
"And they better not be WITCH questions." Annabell warned, "I never practiced magic. My mom was an abomination. She knew what she did was looked upon as evil and would get her exiled and us killed yet she did it anyways. I got out luckily.."
"You had a daughter, right?"
Annabell sighed as she looked around but nodded, "Rebecca. I tried to keep the secret from her but she knew, it came to her naturally."
"Maybe we should actually summon a witch." taunted Sean beside Manny, looking at Annabell like she was useless.
Annabell warned him, "Maybe you should stay away from witches, vampire."
Manny laughed fearfully, seeing the hatred in both their eyes for another. "Not a witch but still has the sense to hate you." she said.
Annabell shot her a look and glared back to Sean, "I'll be going now. Please don't summon anybody else."
With that, she was gone.
"Screw that." Sean said, turning back to the diary and turned back to Manny, "Rebecca. Summon Rebecca. She could know something."
"Sean she said-"
"She's a witch who hated her own kind and has no need to help us or Emma. Summon Rebecca." he demanded.
Manny's shoulders dropped but she nodded. This was for Emma. And Sean. When she chanted for Rebecca though, nothing came.
They tried twice, and they looked at another questionably. "Maybe it's not working?" Sean said.
"Impossible." Manny told him, "They have to come when summoned."
Manny paced around the room slowly, muttering the spell again. Still nothing. Her eyes widened as she turned back to Sean, "Oh my god!"
"What?" he gave her a weird look.
"Maybe we can't summon her...because she's still alive."
Sean's face washed over with confusion and disbelief, "That would be impossible."
She snickered, "How so? You go to Casper high, Sean! You're a vampire! Whose falling for a witch. Nothings impossible and you know it."
Sean clenched his jaw and wondered how the hell they were suppose to get a hold of Rebecca now. He needed to break this curse or whatever it was over him and Emma.
Manny gasped, "We could go to Tracker! Emma's teacher! See if he knows how to find another witch?"
"Worth a shot." Sean said, scratching the back of his head and he led her out. Manny ran after him, but then turned back to grab the diary. She then ran back after him
