Naruto walked through the mansion, trying to find his little friend. His eyes were narrowed into slits as he tried to think on why Kurama had gone with the whole idea of erasing his memories. Sure, he knew that he had asked the small fox to do that for him, but damn it… Kurama didn't have to go along with it! Growling softly, the blonde vampire kept on walking down the hall of the mansion. The only good thing about the day was that he had finally confessed to Hinata about his love for her…

Stopping for a moment, Naruto leaned into the wall and sighed softly. What was he going to do? There were risks of loving a vampire, one day he may end up killing her… he wanted Hinata to live her life to the fullest, something that he never got to do… not with how his life never ends. Could… no, he can't turn Hinata into a vampire.

Taking a deep breath, the young looking man went back to wondering the halls, forgetting about Kurama for the time being. Right now, he started to focus on the risks of Hinata staying with him, loving him… Soon, she'll grow older and older, and he would remain the same age. Yet, if he turned her into a vampire they would never have to part and they would be together forever. 'No, I can't do that to her… I never had the choice, and… and I just can't take that away from Hinata. I won't turn her, for crying out loud vampires scare her and I'm the only acception…' Naruto grabbed at his head, he felt like he was going to cry from all of this frustration but damn it… what was he to do? No matter his choice there was going to be nothing but sadness…

Shaking his head, Naruto buried his arms in his sleeves as he tried to think of a solution, could he just leave Hinata? No… his heart belonged to her, if he lost her… he couldn't keep living anymore and it would cause him nothing but pain. A kind of pain that would make him want to keep living without her, he would… kill himself just so he could be with her. Something that he would never did when he lost his first lover but with Hinata… it was different…

'Being a vampire, is a blessing and a curse… I lived long enough to find my soul mate, but I'll outlive her with my never ending life…' thought Naruto before he punched the wall with all of his strength, the mansion shook from the impact before it settled once more. "Fucking damn it! Why can't things be easy for me?!" shouted Naruto, almost wanting everything to be easy for him, sadly that wasn't going to be the case now was it.

Sinking to sit down, Naruto sighed softly. He looked at his hand, opening it and closing his fist as he wondered just how much stronger he's become since he drank from Hinata. Hell, he could never even dream of getting this strength from the animals that he used to drink from and now… he was much more powerful. It was almost as if human blood gave him more strength but… could he keep drinking from humans? Hell he panicked when he saw the bite on Hinata and saw that it had been from him.

"Damn it…" whispered Naruto, knowing that he was just over thinking everything that was going on around him. It seemed that no matter what, he just couldn't get those feelings to leave him alone. He worried for Hinata, thinking that a vampire might kidnap her and use her for their personal gain. Frowning, Naruto wondered why he would think that… most vampires, the old ones anyway, thought that he was dead. Shaking his head, Naruto knew that all vampires have been created by the original one; there was no way that they could all work for Kuro right?

"Son of a bitch!" shouted Naruto as he punched the wall once again, he had to stop thinking about that and yet his mind just kept on wondering back to those terrible images and thoughts that would just force themselves back into his thoughts. Taking a deep breath, the blonde vampire forced himself to stand back up onto his feet hoping that maybe if he put his thoughts back to what he had been doing before it would get him to forget about all of the troubles that had started to plague his mind the moment he had started to think about it.

Frowning, Naruto just had to think on what he had been doing. Tilting his head to the side, he scratched the back of his head, thinking… thinking… and thinking some more. "Just what the hell was I doing?" Naruto asked himself, then, he closed his hand into a fist and slammed the bottom onto his open palm as he started to remember.

He was going to go talk to Kurama about why he had offered to erase his memories of what had happened. Taking a deep breath, Naruto forced himself to walk forward, he was going to get those bloody answers even if he had to start to rip Kurama limb from limb. Oh ho, he was going to make sure that Kurama answered him no matter what.

Soon, he started to hear a small sound. It was soft, and a bit quite but he heard it. Narrowing his eyes, Naruto tilted his head for a moment as he tried to figure out what the sound was. It almost sounded like a sigh maybe that was Kurama. Smirking, Naruto slowly started to creep his way into the room, he knew that Kurama would try to run so he would have to outsmart the fox, after all, foxes were known to be very cunning animals, no matter if they be normal foxes, spirits or demons. Narrowing his eyes, Naruto opened the door and slowly started to make his way into the room…

"Kurama!" shouted Naruto, thinking screw trying to keep him pinned down in one location. Narrowing his eyes, Naruto rushed forward and grabbed Kurama by his tails and held him up in front of his face. Though it seemed that Kurama was unfazed by what Naruto was doing, this was rather strange but didn't comment on it.

"Hello Naruto, I take it that you and Hinata had a nice chat?" Kurama asked with a tilt of his head, only to grin before adding "or did you spend most of the time having fun in bed?" He chuckled a little at his own joke, though Naruto's glare went darker to the point where it looks, if possible, would kill anyone just by the pure intensity.

"Cut the shit Kurama, I remember everything. Why did you go along with erasing my memories!? Tell me right the fuck now!" shouted Naruto, looking ready to kill the small fox though he didn't dare. Yet… He wanted to hear what the fox's answer would be. If he decided on that for a good enough answer, than he would accept it and possibly forgive the fox, but right now he didn't give a damn, all he cared about was to get that answer and then he was going to try to think of something romantic for him and Hinata to do tomorrow night…

Kurama sighed softly, as if he had feared the very answer that Naruto was demanding. Though that had confused Naruto to a certain degree though it made him wonder… why did Kurama seem afraid? Was it something that he didn't want to hear, though at the moment Naruto didn't really give a damn. The only thing that he wanted was the answer… hell; he even wanted to know why he hid his memories in Hinata, or even her bloodline. He wasn't sure though how that had been going to work but at the moment, he didn't really care at the moment.

Kurama broke free of Naruto's grasp and sat on the couch before looking up at the blonde vampire and sighed softly. "Naruto, I know I shouldn't have erased your memories but damn it… You were so broken." What the hell did that mean? How could he have been that broken to the point where he wanted his memories erased? Okay sure, he knew that he had been upset about the whole thing but… had it been that bad?

"What do you mean?" asked Naruto.

Kurama looked up at Naruto and shook his head, as if he should know the answer. Sighing softly, the fox calmly said "I offered to erase them, because you were just so upset that it broke my heart Naruto. I couldn't stand to see you in that much pain. Hell, anyone couldn't have lived with what you have gone through. Naruto, if I hadn't erased your memories, you would have killed yourself, and therefore, you wouldn't have met Hinata and fell in love with her." Naruto frowned for a moment; okay he had a point there. If he hadn't had his memories erased, then yes, he would have killed himself to repent for his guilt and sins.

"But… why would you do that though for me Kurama? Weren't you just a demon that had been sealed within me?" Naruto said with a hint of confusion, and what would be sensed as sadness and guilt. It was easy to see that Naruto was still feeling the consuming guilt of killing his parents though he stayed strong so he could be with Hinata, so he could stay with her for as long as he was able.

Kurama smiled a little up at Naruto as he said "Naruto, I am many things… a demon, a monster, a spirit… a being of pure hate." He let out a deep sigh, looking down as if he was trying to think on the thing that he was going to say next was something that would take a great deal of energy out of him. Though, soon he smiled softly as he said "but I'm also your friend Naruto, and I never want to see you upset so I would do anything, to make you happy so long as it was in my power to do so. Erasing your memories was the best option that I could come up with." He gave Naruto a big smile before he just lied down on the couch and curled up in a ball before looking like he was about to fall asleep… though stayed awake…

"Kurama, you… you really think of me as your friend?" Naruto said in shock and confusion, sure he had thought of Kurama as a great companion but… to have cared about him that much even when he had first been turned, that itself spoke volumes to how Kurama thought of Naruto.

Turning away, Naruto whispered "I'm sorry Kurama… I guess I've been taking you for granted." He gave him a sad smile before he started to walk away. Now the blonde vampire started to feel bad, after all the years of Kurama helping him and yet he only took it for granted. Now that he knows the truth, could he really stay mad at him? The more he thought about it, the he felt bad. Somehow, he'll have to make it up to Kurama for just taking out his anger and frustration out on the small fox.

As he made his way to his bedroom, Naruto tried to think of a way to romance Hinata. Since the times are different, he didn't know if what he would know would work though… it didn't hurt to try right? Taking a deep breath, Naruto tried to think, though the thinking was hard since he truly didn't know… damn it, of the era that he had to meet Hinata in had to be one that he really didn't understand.

Running a hand through his blonde locks, Naruto thought that maybe he should just wonder around for a bit to see what he should do… Maybe then, he wouldn't have anything to worry about. Sadly, that was easier said than done at this point.

"Naruto, I could suggest something that you both can do, and it's free." Said Kurama, causing Naruto to suddenly jump from the shock. How the hell did he just appear like that?! Shaking his head, Naruto just frowned at Kurama as he asked what the hell he was talking about. Though, Kurama just smiled as he started to tell Naruto what the blonde vampire could do with the blue haired woman, and that it would be the most fun they would have ever.

Hinata started to hum to herself as she worked. Today was just such a beautiful day that she didn't think that it could get any better for her. Smiling, the young woman just giggled as she gave everyone their orders and sighed in content. Though she couldn't help but wonder if she could keep Naruto a secret, no one would believe that she was dating a vampire… Not to mention, with Naruto being from a different era, people wouldn't know if he was just raised old fashion or it was something else. Either way, she had to keep him a secret for now…

Taking a deep breath, the young woman walked over to the kitchen to bring back a tray that had been left and dirtied, she didn't think anyone could have forgotten a tray though it can happen. Like the old saying goes, 'there's a first time for everything'. Yawning into the back of her hand, Hinata still felt a little tired from when Naruto drank her blood though that was to be expected, he did take quite a bit even though it wasn't on purpose.

"Hey Hinata, how are you? You okay? You kinda look pale…" Said Sakura as she walked up to Hinata. Man, she didn't expect to look so pale, the young woman just gave Sakura a small smile and waved off her concern. She could still stand and work, not to mention all the sweets and orange juice she had to help her get through the day.

"I'm fine, just… didn't sleep well last night." Said Hinata with a smile, trying to get Sakura to relax, there was no reason for her to worry. Okay, in a way she could see it from Sakura's point of view since all she saw was Hinata being paler than she usually was. Plus, it wasn't like she could tell her friend that she had been bitten by a vampire right? It would only cause for alarm to go off and then Naruto would be exposed.

Looking over at Sakura, Hinata just smiled as she said "I guess I should stop staying up really late, or I'll get sick." She giggled softly before walking over to the counter to pick up some of the other orders that had to go out. Though, Hinata looked over and saw Sakura staring at her with a frown. Did Sakura see something that she wasn't aware of or was it something else.

Sakura walked over to the blue haired woman as she said "Hinata, what are those on your neck?" Hinata froze for a second as she slowly started to turn around to face the pink haired woman. How did she see that? Didn't she hide the bites perfectly? No, she had to have covered them, maybe she could just pretend that they were bruises right?

Giving Sakura a nervous smile, she said "well, I was outside and I got bit by something…" Well, at least it wasn't a true lie. She was bit by something, okay more like someone. Either way, she didn't really lie to Sakura. The pink haired woman though, just stared at Hinata as if she didn't buy it though she didn't comment on it. At least it was something that didn't bother Hinata, that Sakura was giving her some kind of respect.

Taking a deep breath, Hinata walked over to the counter and picked up a tray. "Hinata." Said a new voice, a voice that only made Hinata sigh softly. Of all days, why did Mia have to bother her now? She was having such a great day and now, of all times the black haired woman just smiled at Hinata, though the smile wasn't warm but wicked like a witch.

"What do you want Mia?" asked Hinata as she faced Mia with a frown. Mia normally ignores Hinata at every chance she could get. Though it seemed that right now, the young woman couldn't care less if she frightened Hinata or tormented her. Either way, the young woman just smirked at Hinata and gave a dark chuckle.

Mia ran a hand through her long black silky locks as she said "I just wanted to give you a warning… don't get to close to him or else… you will suffer." She said the last part with a dark smile on her face before she started to walk away and laughed darkly. Whatever she was talking about, Hinata narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms as she thought that Mia didn't know what she was talking about. After all, the woman had been nothing but mean to her and she had tried to give her a chance and had thrown it right back in her face.

"You can't tell me what to do while I'm not at work." Hinata said under her breath before she went to take the meal to the correct table and sighed softly. Hinata knew that this was only going to get harder for her, maybe she should just move away from here so Hinata and Naruto could live a happy life with Naruto for as long as she could.

Taking a deep breath, Hinata tried to calm down her nerves before she started to go on back to work. She knew that at some point, Naruto and she would have to leave this place since it would be too risky for her to have a relationship with Naruto here, so they may have to keep on moving before she made her way to the kitchen once again before she would have to go back to the tables that had started to arrive so she could start to take some orders and filled out some recites so everyone would know what they would have to pay.

Sighing softly, the young woman just went back to work, knowing fully well that she may have to talk to Naruto about this at some point… maybe in a few years.

Hinata hummed softly as she wondered around in her apartment as she tried to get herself ready. Kurama came over to her home a little while ago letting her know that Naruto wanted to meet her tonight. The thought of seeing Naruto made her heart flutter and it made her so very happy. Though, she couldn't help but wonder what she was to wear. The only other thing Kurama had added was to wear something nice, and durable.

The only thing she had that was nice, was her long silk pants and a top that had just thin straps that held onto her delicate shoulders though she had hoped that she had a top that would cover the bite mark on her neck though at least to others it would only look like a bruise. Sighing softly, Hinata grabbed those and put on simple shoes that she knew would be able to move around in perfectly.

Taking a deep breath, the young woman stripped down and started to throw on the clothes that she had found that she could wear. Stretching, the young woman tried to think on what Naruto would have in mind for them to do tonight. So many things went through her mind though nothing would stick since Naruto couldn't eat, or even pay for anything so it did have her curious as to what they would have been able to do. Taking a deep breath, the young woman tried to think, maybe Naruto found a way to do something while at his home.

Placing her hands on her warm cheeks, Hinata let out little giggles of delight as she wondered if they would kiss again. The kiss Naruto gave her, was so wonderful, it was soft, passionate, yet at the same time powerful. Hinata knew that Naruto was old in a sense, though he still didn't look any older than she was, in fact he might only be at least a year older or so than she is when he was turned.

Frowning a bit, Hinata tilted her head as she wondered what it had been like for him to turn into a vampire. The way he looked while he slept, it looked like he was in pain… maybe it was best that she never learned how it felt to turn into a vampire.

Running a hand through her hair, Hinata threw on her shirt and walked over to her closer as she tried to think on how she should style her hair this time. She shouldn't do something that out of it; though at the same time do something that would make her look nice. Smiling, Hinata reached for a spray that was on her bathroom counter, it was something her sister got her for her birthday last year but never really wore it. Now was a best of a time as ever to try it out.

Grabbing some hair clips, the young woman clipped a few layers of hair and sprayed her hair then unclipped another layer and sprayed. It was pretty much wash, rinse and repeat until she had managed to spray all the layers of her hair before looking at the mirror and smiled. Her hair pretty much sparkled with the glitter, she was just happy that this would wash out without a problem though she hoped that Naruto would like it.

Giving herself one last look over Hinata thought that maybe she should put on lip gloss, but then she thought against it since Naruto wouldn't have been able to taste anything anyway so there wouldn't be any point in doing that… Taking a deep breath, the young woman left her lip gloss on the counter and went to grab her purse. Suddenly, someone started to knock on her door, causing Hinata to frown a little.

Tilting her head, the young blue haired woman started to make her way toward the front door and opened it only to smile when she saw Naruto standing there. "I thought I was supposed to meet you at your home?"

Naruto just grinned; his hair was long though it seemed he didn't bother to change it with his appearance. Now that she thinks about it, he pretty much looks like he always does though he kept the whisker marks on his face, kept his hair blonde and tied back in a ponytail at the nape of his neck, and his clothes was a simple dress shirt and nice smooth black slacks with something that in a way looks like boots though at the same time, dress shoes. No idea if that made sense though Hinata couldn't help but smile at Naruto he did look very nice.

"Yeah but I forgot to tell Kurama that I'd pick you up. So, I thought I'd come early so you wouldn't be outside on your own wondering where I was." Naruto said with a small chuckle before gently taking Hinata in his hand. She couldn't help but notice how cold Naruto's skin was, at least compared to hers anyway. Though, she just smiled at him and left with Naruto, wondering where they could possibly leave.

"So, where are we going?" asked Hinata.

"To a dance club. Kurama, oddly enough had money on him. Turns out he could gain a human form so he could work and that was how my mansion was never torn down or anything and had been called 'privet' property." Naruto calmly explained before he turned to the blue haired woman, and that was when Hinata noticed the bright sparkle that was within his eyes. They were so beautiful; it made her think of the way the ocean looks when the sun is setting or rising into the sky. It was always a beautiful sight, and Hinata had her own little piece of the ocean just by looking into her vampires eyes.

Hinata giggled a little bit, who would have thought that Kurama could turn into anything and earn money. In a way that was a little cute. Smiling happily, the young woman just smiled a little before making her way to the club with Naruto. At least they could have some kind of fun tonight though normally dance clubs didn't have slow songs that they could dance to and now, Naruto might freak out from the fast beat songs.

That, of course had her worried for Naruto, thinking that he might have some kind of panic attack but there was no way of knowing what was going to happen if that were to happen.

Looking up at Naruto, Hinata couldn't help but lie her head on his shoulder, or at least had tried too since he was very tall. Taking a deep breath, Hinata tried to get herself to calm down, which was rather odd since she had thought that she would be the one that was calm, and Naruto was the one that was calm. She giggled at the thought of it.

"What's funny?" asked Naruto.

"Nothing Naruto, nothing." She laughed softly before they started to make their way into the club though was amazed that no one was in here. Frowning, Hinata looked up at Naruto as if he was going to be able to tell her what was going on though she couldn't really be sure what was going on.

Soon, a tall man walked over to them as he said "sorry, but this is a privet party. Unless you are here because of a reservation, I suggest you leave." Hinata frowned a bit; did someone buy the whole night to themselves? That was a shame… Hinata let out a soft sigh and was about to turn around to leave until Naruto's arm wrapped itself around her shoulders to keep her in place.

"I'm Naruto Uzumaki, I had this place reserved for myself, and my friend here." Calmly said Naruto with a smirk. The man's skin went pale before bowing and he ran off to get everything in order. Hinata just looked up at the blonde vampire with awe written all over her face. It had been amazing that Naruto was the one to have this place reserved for them, but then she thought that maybe it had been Kurama. That was the only way for him to have done that since after all, Naruto has no real money.

Hinata smiled gently at Naruto as she said "thank you Naruto… So, what are we to do first?" She tilted her head to the side, wondering what they would end up doing first. Oh so many things went through her mind at the thought of it though she knew that it would be something that they all would enjoy.

Naruto gently took Hinata's hand and moved out to the dance floor with her as music started to play. Smiling at her gently, he said "I thought… we could dance first… Kurama picked the song out, said that in a way it suited us." He chuckled softly before walking with the blue haired woman to the dance floor, wrapping an arm around her waist, and took her left hand in his and just danced with her. "I'm not much of a dancer… so I hope I don't step on your feet." Whispered Naruto gently.

People gather to chant of what is right.
Try to lay us out, cut us down to size.

Naruto smiled at Hinata gently as he held her in his arms. The young woman couldn't help but smile gently at him; it was rather amazing that he held her like that when he was a battle hardened vampire. Taking a deep breath, the young woman lied her head on his shoulder as she let out a soft sigh. Sometimes, she wondered how it came that Naruto would be in her life… or even how she had lived without him in her life…

I knew something had changed.
Walking under a moonless sky
you're disappearing before me.

"Hinata… I never knew that I could be happy… I had always thought that I would live a life of torment and misery…" Naruto whispered gently when he buried his face against her hair. Hinata just smiled of course, she looked up at Naruto, her lavender coloured eyes sparkling in the dim light that shined in the room as the spotlights soon started to shine down onto them.

Walking to sacrifice yourself for me,
you wear a sweet smile.

"You have a right to be happy Naruto…" whispered Hinata as she nuzzled his chest, just allowing herself to be lost in the music and the comfort of Naruto's arm around her waist. It was odd to feel cold while Naruto held her though; she didn't make a comment on it. Rather, she just kept herself comfortable and reminded herself time and again that Naruto had no natural body warmth, that he was a vampire… Sometimes she found it amazing that she forgot, but maybe, that was because Naruto acted so much like a human that it was easy to forget.

Crimson... Crimson...
It's my proof that you and I
are together and always.
Are you still wandering?
Are you still waiting?
Are your broken wings still carrying
you though that moonless sky?

Naruto chuckled softly as his hold over Hinata seemed to tighten a little bit. Looking up at him, Hinata wondered what he was going to say now. Or, for that matter do, since this was their first date. Seeing his blue eyes, Hinata could see the inner pain and torment that he had within their depths. She could easily tell that he had been in so much pain that it was amazing that he could keep going on but maybe, he saw her as not only as a lover, but as his rock… his rock to his humanity.

When we awake from this madness,
I'll take you to where the sun rises.

Our sins will be washed away,
Love will call me back to you.

"Hinata, I never thought that I would even fall in love with another human." He began before letting go of her hand and gently cupped her cheek. Staring at her with such love and affection in his eyes, Hinata knew that he really did love her, and that what he was saying, were words not from his heart, but from his very soul. "I had always thought I'd be alone, that I would live forever, a life alone… until you came into my life and now, here I am. Out dancing with the most beautiful woman in the entire world… Hinata, I never want to lose you…"

I wanted to catch up with you.
I longed to protect you.
I wanted to face the road ahead with you.
I see the doors closing behind you.
I rush to make it there in time.

Hinata just stared at the blonde vampire when he cupped her cheek. Tears started to fill her eyes as she thought about what was to happen. Hinata knew that Naruto was scared of losing her, no matter if she was killed by vampires or by time itself. Either way, he would end up losing her until he could turn her but she couldn't… the thought of losing her family scared her even though she only had her father and sister left.

The burning sin,
steeped in crimson.
Burning within me it sustains me, eases my pain.

Naruto gave her a small smile as he wiped the stray tears that made their way down her cheek as he said "which is why… when you go Hinata… I will join you. I don't care how it happens, but what I do know is that I will be with you no matter the cost. I couldn't imagine to keep living the way I am without you in it…"

Are you still wandering?
Are you still waiting?
I am with you, our broken wings carrying
us though this moonless sky.

Hinata at that moment, wanted to cry her eyes out. He had thought of that all this time? Naruto would rather join her in death than to keep living his life. In a way, that was so romantic that it broke her heart. Hinata never knew that she could feel like this before though she knew that it was because he loved her so much that he just couldn't keep living without her.

I will live on
as a single-winged butterfly.

"Hinata, you are my light in the darkness… the sun, as I am the moon. Without you I'm just not complete and I feel so empty and dead inside, which is saying a lot since I'm already dead." He said the last part, mostly as a joke but even Hinata could tell that it pained him.

Crimson... Crimson...
It's my proof that you and I
are together again, and always.
The burning sin,
steeped in crimson.
Burning within me, it sustains me, eases my pain.

Hinata gently lifted her hands and wrapped one around his wrist and used the other to hold the back of his hand so his palm could remain on her cheek. She couldn't help but stare at him; Hinata knew that he wanted to cry at the thought of losing her. But she didn't think that he could, or if he could cry if he didn't want to seem so upset because of not wanting to seem weak in front of her.

Are you still wandering?
Are you still waiting?
Are your broken wings still carrying
you though that moonless sky?

Hinata let go of his hand before wrapping her arms around his neck and kissed him gently. Naruto at first was a little shock by the sudden kiss though he wrapped his arms around Hinata as he kissed her back. The blue haired woman knew that this was going to be painful for Naruto when it came to be, though she knew that no matter what the cost, she would do anything to make Naruto happy. All she would have to do is just find a way to make sure that his life with her would never be sad.

All she would have to do is find a way to make him happy though she had a feeling that there would be so many things in their lives that would make life difficult but Hinata loved him so much.

Naruto pulled back and just stared at her. Hinata didn't know what he was going to say or do, though what she did know was that Naruto gave her a soft smile. It seemed that her kiss had cheered him up a bit so maybe she was on the road to healing Naruto's heart a little more each and every day that they were together.

"Hinata, sometimes I wonder what I did to deserve someone as wonderful as you." Naruto whispered softly before holding her a little closer to his chest.

Hinata just smiled a little as she ran her fingers through his spiky blonde locks as she let out a soft sigh of contentment. "All you have to do is be yourself… That is why I love you, because you're you… No matter if you're vampire, human or demon I would always love you." With that, Naruto pressed his lips against hers once again. Hinata knew that if it wasn't for Naruto being in her life, life would be very boring. He made her life, more exciting and for that she had been thankful for that, and for his love for her. Though, something in the back of her mind told her that there would be some danger in their future.
