Chapter Eleven
**Emmie's POV**
"Relax, Emmie! Relax! Maybe, he didn't notice? Oh, damn, what am I thinking? Of course. he noticed!" I shouted at myself, pacing back and forth in my bedroom.
I was desperately trying to calm myself down after what happened after the funeral. With shaky hands, I started to pull my hair up into a bun.
"This is too much.." I said, quietly to myself, gently massaging my temples.
I settled on a nice, hot bubble bath to relax me. After peeling out of my dress, my phone started to alert me with a new text message from an unknown number.
Look around...he's closer than you think.
Rolling my eyes, I shrugged it off as one of those stupid chain messages and hopped into the tub. It was like the hot water was washing away my troubles. Moving to Bon Temps was anything but a good time. I hadn't even been back two months and already, i was looped into drama. Supernatural drama.
I seemed to have forgotten all about whatever I was feeling before, thanks to my bath, and was ready for a good night's rest. That was until I realized that Lala was filming another one of his videos in the living room. I mentally gagged at the thought of hundreds of perverts watching us. Tara said that before I moved in, she made sure that he got rid of the camera in the bathroom, much to my relief.
Right when I had changed into my pajamas, there was a loud knock at the door. I cracked my door just a tad so that I could see what was happening.
"I need some more V!" a familiar voice shouted.
It was Jason.
'V?' I thought.
"Keep your voice down, stupid bitch! My little sister is back there sleeping! You can't handle the shit!"
Jason was going back and forth with Lafayette until Lala threw him out in a violent rage. Wasn't the scariest thing I've ever witnessed, but it wasn't the best. I gently shut the door and flopped onto my bed, hoping to forget it all.
I woke up unusually early the next morning, especially since I didn't have to work until five. I got dressed anyway but before I could go to the kitchen, I got a call from Sookie.
"Hey, Emmie. I know it's early and all, but I'm in need of some serious girl talk."
I smiled, even though I was a bit worried.
"Sure, Sook. I'll be right over."
Lafayette had fallen asleep on the couch after his late night endeavors. I just ignored it and started to walk towards Sookie's house. When I got there, she was unlocking her front door. I couldn't help, but notice that she was wearing an oversized button down shirt.
"Sookie?"
She blushed dark red.
"Hey, Emmie…"
"Don't think I don't know where you've been, grandma."
"Ew, don't call me that!"
"I think I've earned the right to!"
We shared a laugh up until we walked into her house. Caught off guard, I immediately clutched my head with the pain caused by loud, disorganized thoughts. There was a loud clattering sound combined with footsteps coming from inside Sookie's living room, causing both of us to walk in cautiously.
Sookie and I both gasped in surprise when we recognized the perpetrator.
"Jason!"
"Fuck," he whispered under his breath, not expecting us to be there.
"What are you doin'?"Sookie questioned.
I gazed at the candleholders that Jason held in his hand.
'Oh, no! This isn't good…"
Jason could hardly get his thoughts together, but then something caught his eye. He took one look at Sookie's neck and sighed.
"You went ahead and did it, huh? My own sister. Nothin' but a damn fangbanger. Now, you saved it all these years for a fuckin' vampire?"
The way Jason was talking turned my stomach and I had to resist the urge to vomit.
"Bill is a gentleman,'Sookie defended.
I may not have known Bill very long, but that was blood and blood always defended blood.
"He bit you!" Jason protested back.
"He doesn't hit me, which is more than I can say for you," Sookie shot back.
Jason gave us both a guilty look before going back to his defensive ways, but Sookie wasn't having any of that.
"What are you doing with Gran's candlesticks?"
"I'm just uh, takin' half of what's mine."
"They were a wedding present from her mother!"
"Well, I need the money."
"For what? You have a job and a house!"
"It's none of your business!"
'For the V,"I thought, careful to block it off so that Sookie could not hear.
"Gran, might have spoiled you rotten, but I won't. You put those things down and get out!"
Jason shrugged her off and continued to walk out off the house. I was left dumbfounded when Sookie tore the bag that he had in his hand. The contents consisted of Mrs. Stackhouse's jewelry and other sentimental items.
"You were going to sell her jewelry?"
I pulled Sookie into a tight hug as Jason left with the remaining candlesticks.
She took a deep breath.
"Sorry, about that Emmie. I'm sure that really spoiled your morning."
"No, don't talk like that. I'm just glad that you're okay."
She lead me upstairs to her bedroom.
"Sooooo?"
"So what?" She asked, confused.
I giggled and turned a dark shade of red.
"You and Bill. Did you really...you know?"
Sookie turned an equal, if not darker, shade of red.
"Yes! Oh, Emmie! Have you ever known something so amazing?"
I looked down and shook my head.
"Oh… I'm sorry. I didn't know, but it's nothing to be ashamed of!" Sookie
said, trying to reassure me.
"Sookie, I'm not ashamed. Just a little self conscious, that's all. Is it normal to be such a late bloomer?"
She smiled at me sweetly.
"Don't worry, the right guy is coming along!"
I smiled back as I sat on her bed. Little did she know that our boss was even hitting on me.
That night at Merlotte's was hectic. Customers coming in left and right, just when I thought I was getting a break, more came in.
I saw Sam and Lafayette draw their attention to the door. I didn't really understand why they were acting that way.
"Tara said that she's not coming in," Terry told Sam.
"Aw, hell! We're already short a waitress!"
"Don't worry, Sam. We'll make it work."
I giggled a bit to myself because of Sookie's good mood. Lala teased her a bit and Sam gave her a questioning look. He pulled me to the side.
"Do you know something that I don't?"
I smirked and shrugged.
"My lips are sealed."
I walked over to a table near Sookie and Arlene.
"Please me tell me it was Sam and not that vampire?"
Sookie beamed.
"Yes! It was Bill and I think I might be in love with him! Don't tell anyone, okay?"Sookie blurted out before running off to another table.
Telling Arlene not to tell anyone was like telling birds not to fly. She immediately ran off to tell Rene'. This certainly got Sam's attention. I sat down my tray and ran in front of him.
"Sam, no!"
He gently pushed me to the side and went after Sookie and roughly pulled her green scarf from around her neck.
"You're a damn fool, you know that!" He shouted.
"Yeah, okay! I had sex with Bill! And since y'all are too chicken to ask, it was great! I enjoyed every second of it! And if you don't like that, you can just fire me!"
Collective 'OOOs' set in around the bar. I gave Lala a knowing glance, but then gave Sam a once over.
I continued to wait on tables until I saw them. The vampires that attacked me. Frightened, I ran to the back room.
"Get us three Tru-Bloods."
"Y'all need to go somewhere else. This is a family place. Locals only."
I peered out into the hall to catch a glimpse of what was happening. The vampire, known as Malcolm, was in Sookie's face with his fanged barred.
"I'm sure you were trash while you were alive and now you're just dead trash."
"I'm going to drain you so slowly, you're going to beg me to kill you."
Terry then leaped across the room to stop them, but was thrown to the ground, causing Sam to pick up a pool stick and break it across his knee. He ran towards the trio, but was immediately thrown back onto the bar. The pool stick flew towards the wall of glasses, shattering them, making Arlene release a bloodcurdling scream.
"Stop this, now! You're here for me, not them!" Bill said, running in.
"We had to get your attention and I do believe it worked," Malcolm said.
"Join our next, Bill."
My reflexes caused me to leap into the scene of action before I could even think straight.
"No, Bill! Don't!"
Gasps and murmurs rang throughout the bar, but I didn't care.
"Ahhh….I knew I smelled something sweet, "Diane, the female vampire, said caressing my cheek.
"Stay away from her!" Sam yelled.
"Alright, let's go, "Bill said to them.
"Bill, what are you doin'?" Sookie shouted at him.
"Sook, it's okay. He has a plan." I said to her mentally.
Knowing Sookie, she wasn't going to just accept that.
"You're not like them! You're better than they'll ever be."
"I am not human, Sookie. I am vampire."
I pulled her back as the trio left with Bill.
"Don't worry," I whispered to her.
"What a night!"I said to myself as I took off my shoes.
That night at Merlotte's was beyond intense. The thoughts that were swimming around the bar had led me into a panic attack. Sam, once again, got over protective and told me to go home and rest. My head was pounding to no end, it seemed like not even medicine could make it better. I decided that I should stand on the porch for some fresh air before my bath.
"Rough night?"
I jumped as a voice startled me, causing me to nearly hop out of my skin.
"E-Eric? What are you doing here?"
"Is that how you talk to your guests?"
"You're no guest of mine, Eric Northman. You're not welcomed here."
He chuckled darkly.
"One day, you'll be begging me to visit you every night."
I scoffed." I would rather be dead."
"Be careful what you wish for, Miss Reynolds, "He said before flying off into the night.
Hello, all! I'm so sorry that it's taken me so long to update, but it's summer now and I'll be updating as quickly as possible. I have made a playlist on Spotify for this story and if you guys want to listen to it while you're reading to see what I'm inspired by, comment and I'll make it public and you can message me for the username. I also have a YouTube video in honor of 1 year since the show ended so you can check it out if you want to.
Here's your questions:
Is Emmie going to fall for Sam? What was Eric talking about at the end of the story? Will the town of Bon Temps find out that Emmie is related to Bill?
Is Jason suspicious of Emmie or did he think he was just hallucinating because of the V?
