Hey guys ...
I know that no amount of words can make up for making you guys wait so long for this! It was loss of inspiration, college work, family issues, getting swept up in my other fandoms, working on my Marvel stories, and etc.
But just yesterday I got inspired to finish writing this part. And it will be editing to fix usual errors. I was rushing to finish this. And I wanted this part to go one way but it ended up going in a different way and I actually liked it.
So, let's just get going, shall we?
Georgethe swore she never saw something so illuminating until now. As the hovercraft loomed closer to the skyscraper city, multitude of colors twinkled like the night sky up ahead, from midnight blues to luscious pinks. A multiple of colors coated the landscape as they flew sky high, making her clutch onto her seat more. She was between Ahsoka and Anakin and she was feeling troublesome again. Feelings circulated inside her about many things.
She was still curious about her past. She wanted to know the truth about her parents. She was feeling flustered from her companions; Anakin giving her a slight grin as he drove and Ahsoka giving her a curious glance. Georgethe was sure something was up with the Togruta and it may have something to do with their passing in the hallway earlier. She remembered feeling the Force burst between them. It felt strange yet familiar, the same way she felt the first day she entered her new chambers with Obi-Wan; when she grabbed a hold of him … talk about deja-vu.
The next thing she knew, their craft landed in a nice parking spot and were all walking down the crowded hovering streets, getting caught in the whirlwind of the city life. She had never seen so many advertisement signs and vendors and many different lifeforms all in one place. It was a blend of human and foreign. While some looked friendly or neutral, others looked imposing and strange so she stayed close to her friends.
'Friends,' She thought.
She never really thought she could say that word but now she could. It was something she thought she could never say or get to say because she thought she didn't deserve any friends. She always felt like an outcast, a dark stain among the so called perfect life of the Jedi. But now, now she didn't feel so stand offish anymore.
Anakin was ahead and that left the two girls side by side. However, Ahsoka was looking the other way, giving her a strange vibe. She didn't like it.
"Ahsoka, what is it?" Said girl looked back at her friend, giving a neutral look.
"Nothing." Georgethe frowned.
"No, it's something. I know it is."
Ahsoka gave a wave of her hand. "You're being silly." She walked off only a few feet when Georgethe spoke again.
"It's because of me, isn't it?" Ahsoka stopped walking but didn't look back. "Our hands touched in the hallway earlier … and you saw something … something strange … it's happened before … and I thought you'd tell me … friends tell each other things … I thought … we were …" She couldn't help but have her voice start cracking, making the Torgruta snap her face over and quickly rushed over to hold both her hands.
"Of course we're friends! And nothing's gonna change that, nothing." Ahsoka gave a assuring smile, making her friend less tense. "I'm sorry I've seemed off today. And you're right. I did see something strange … like a foreshadowing or something … you say this happened before?" She nodded. "You don't have to tell me now. I don't want to pressure you into anything."
Before she could respond, both girls heard Anakin's voice calling out to them. "If you two are having girl talk, you can do that later! We've got a city to see!"
Both girls rolled their eyes but laughed. Ahsoka whispered, "We can talk later." She tugged on her arm and both girls ran to catch up with him as they got lost in the swarm, unaware that someone was watching them from afar …
OOO
Anakin was repeatedly mentally hitting himself. The past hour he and the girls explored Coruscant city and took in all the attractions but stayed away from any that invoked suspicion and misleading. But they managed to get into a few flea markets and stores, browsing and even getting one or two things. And now, they were in a clothing store, nothing too shabby, and both padawans were looking at capes and hoods and were even trying some one. He watched on the sideline, leaning back with his arms crossed across his chest as he saw Ahsoka donning a red brown hooded cape and he had to admit, his Snips looked good. But when he saw her, he felt himself get warm. She donned a midnight blue hooded cape and as she swayed, the cape twinkled like the stars. And she was smiling so carefree … she was adorable. Why couldn't he get himself in line?!
Lately, they have become good friends, maybe even close friends. And that was a problem. He knew attachments were forbidden, better than anyone. But master and padawan relationships were not. Why was that? The Jedi were taught to be selfless and think of others, but these days he count take count for many selfish actions the Order have taken to progress in this war. They each had their own battalion to treat like their soldiers to fight for them and only them and yet he saw the 501st like his trusted friends, especially Rex. And the master and padawan relationship was a custom but wasn't it also considered an attachment? The Jedi are taught to not express themselves but to not feel anything … that was inhuman. And Anakin Skywalker was, in one word, expressive.
So when he realized he was staring at her for so long … he actually kicked himself. He did like her and it was bad.
"What do you think?" Georgethe's voice pulled him back and once his eyes locked onto hers, he mentally swore. The blue cape made her eyes pop out. He didn't say anything at the moment but rather slowly walked over. Ahsoka watched with a grin as he stopped right before her and to him, she looked older and more regal but also mysterious and alluring …
He could feel a warm smile growing on his face. "You look great." She blushed but shyly looked away when he saw a loose curl around her cheek so he used his gloved finger to brush it back, lightly tracing her cheek, causing her to look at him with stunning eyes and he felt himself get in deeper.
Ahsoka couldn't decide whether to grin more or back a little ways, feeling warmth surrounding those two. She knew her friend and master liked each other but now she wondered … was it something more?
After they bought their capes, Anakin stayed closer to her side. The trio tasted food samples, heard a band playing nearby and even stayed at a balcony that had a magnificent view of the skyline up high. Of course, Georgethe was one to be afraid of heights and even though she was always at high points on missions, that didn't mean she enjoyed it. The moment she looked over the balcony to see a long, dark bottom, she squeaked and bumped into Anakin who merely laughed and kept an arm wrapped around her saying, "Don't worry. You won't fall. Trust me." Ahsoka leaned on the railing as she awed at the crystalline structures and how they glowed from the numerous lights while they watched beside her. Georgethe felt something among the wave of comfort. Something different. Something warm.
OOO
She suddenly felt eyes on her and it gave her an uneasy feeling, so uneasy …
She looked up to the roof of the high building and saw nothing. She felt a chill in the air and hugged herself. "Hey, you okay?" She turned to Anakin who looked concerned. She sensed the same eyes on her again and her head snapped to another roof only to spot a shadow of a man far off. "Shorty?" She ignored him, breaking free and in pursuit of the fleeing form jumping off the roof. "What the – hey!"
Georgethe ran easily through the crowds, spotting the shadow as he jumped to another building, barely running into them as she sensed her friends running after her. Once she spotted the shadow jump to a floating crate carrier, she chose then to do a Force jump. She grabbed a banner pole and flipped off from it, heading to the side of a building before kicking off it, latching onto the carrier as it went up and away. She heard her friends cries but she had to push it away. She had to focus.
"Just hang on. Don't look down. Just stay upright and pull yourself up. And I'm talking to myself. Great." Ge muttered. She pulled herself up just as the shadow turned to her, the lights starting to show them. It was a man, tall and lean, dressed familiar. She widened her eyes before she glared, using a Force boost to pounce. She tackled him, almost making them both fly off. He quickly shoved her off before jumping off to run across another roof. "Oh no you don't." She jumped up high, landing quickly before chasing him.
She was gaining in on him as she used the Force to press on when he slide under a poster board but she matched him. He jumped over a big gap to the building across barely but she jumped over with ease. Once she saw they were nearing traffic lanes, she thought he'd stop. But instead, he hopped on a moving hover car to another. She thought he lost his mind but considering who she thought it was, she wouldn't put it past him. So, as insane as it was, she had to follow. She carefully but quickly jumped from the backs of so many hover cars, getting yells and cries from the drivers as she saw him jump off his last car and pummeling down below. She gasped. "NO!"
He leaned forward in a straight perfect dive before landing in a fast moving red car. "What – AH!"
The last car she was on was rammed in by another, making her lose her grip and fall forward, whipping fast against the hard winds and rolling over as she tried to rationalize what to do when she didn't realize she was panicking. She caught sight of a familiar looking hovercraft and two sets of faces when a hand grabbed her roughly from behind and tugged her into a cushioned seat. She cried out as her mouth was covered when she heard a loud yell from far behind them. "Let her go!" The next few moments showed blurry lights, fast vehicles moving past them as they left the light atmosphere and into a darker one. Her eyes cleared up as she saw where they were headed. To the bad side of the city. Where she saw a big ship waiting up ahead.
Her eyes glowed white as she broke free easily and grabbed the wheel, making her captor swear as he tried shoving her back in her seat but she punched him, making him lose his grip so she grabbed it fully when she saw a speeder come out in front of her, making her turn sharply and dip forward, making her grab him and jumping out of there as the hover car fell into a very dark, deep gap before exploding after. They rolled across the rough landing ground as Ge tried getting up when an arm wrapped around her neck as he put her arms behind her before putting cuffs on them. She tried blasting him away but that resulted in nothing. She growled in irritation when a gruff voice spoke. "Energy cuffs. You can't escape. Not this time, kid."
"So it is you." She looked up at him, the pirate captain from Ryloth, as he smirked. "You came here to pick up where we left off?" His smirk vanished.
"Not quite. We have to talk."
"I wouldn't be so certain if I were you." The pirate pulled her against him as the speeder from before curved to a stop as someone jumped off easily and landed before them, "Now, if you would be so kind, release my padawan."
"Master – ack!" She cried out in pain as he pulled out a blaster from behind and aimed it at Obi-Wan while he tugged at her cuffed wrists.
"Yeah, no can do, old man. She and I have some catching up to do. Now, let us be or there will be one less pest in my way." He grinned but he sounded very on guard.
Obi-Wan narrowed his eyes, focused. "That will not do."
He sighed. "That's quite a shame." That's when a few small silver balls rolled out between them before smoke blasted out of them. Ge yelled out to her master before her captor hoisted her over his shoulder and started running to the ship.
"Let me go, you – you – you scum!" Georgethe retorted.
"I'd watch what you say, little lady. You have no idea who you're dealing with." He huffed back.
"Captain Nuisance? Maybe I have!" She craned her neck to see the ship starting up and hovering as he ran across the now metal plates underneath. She tried kicking him in the face but he narrowly avoided it when she felt the Force tugging her out of his grasp and she floated up high, making him stop and gawk at the sight before he was slammed into the ground by Obi-Wan's Force push. She was grabbed by Ahsoka who tried pulling her in their hovercraft.
"Is he that pirate from Ryloth?"
"The one and only." As Ahsoka pulled her safely in the craft, blast fire blared out as the hovercraft got hit at the engine "Aw come on!" Anakin was still driving as the craft came down and all three of them jumped out, skidding across the ground as the craft crashed and blazed into flames. The smoke started covering them all like a blanket, Georgethe coughed as she tried getting up but her body ached from the evident bruises and scrapes. "M – Master?! A – Ah – Ahsoka?!" She tried calling out but she kept coughing from the nasty smoke, the flames making the atmosphere worse. Suddenly, she heard grunts and growls as many footsteps followed scattering all around. She also heard Obi-Wan and Ahsoka fighting back; blue and green lights moving among the black clouds, and from the constant swearing she knew right away they were pirates.
'So, he brought his whole crew. Just great.' She dryly thought.
She was forcibly pulled to her feet by her cuffed wrists, making her yelp. "Come on, kid. I didn't come all the way here for nothing. You better give us what we need. Our lives depend on it." The captain gruffly spoke. He sounded … fearful. Ge's mind paused for a moment thinking over what he just said when her heart cried out for the one who wouldn't let anything happen to her. "A – An –" the man tugged her harshly as the ship lowered as did the ramp when she cried out with the last of her voice's strength. "Anakin!"
As they got on the ramp, appearing through the smoke, was an enraged Jedi, saber ablaze. "Let her go right now or I'll break your neck in two!" His eyes narrowed as Ge heard strangled gasps from the captain, the Force closing in on his throat and his hold loosened long enough for her to shove him back. Once she did, she gasped as someone's chest clashed against hers and she looked up to see sharpened blue eyes on hers as his arm fit snug around her. "This little one belongs with us." She blushed red as he sliced off her cuffs when a purple shock rammed into him, knocking him off the ramp and she was pulled back by yet another person.
As Anakin landed roughly; twitching from the immense shock running through his system, he spotted an all too familiar pirate grinning as he showed off his electrostaff in one hand and gripping on Ge with the other. "I am sorry, old friend! No stowaways on board my ship!"
"Hondo." Anakin gritted.
"Did you miss me?" Hondo watched as Obi-Wan and Ahsoka battled off his fellow crew mates with some struggle but were able to hold them back when both Jedi shoved them all away with a combined Force push; Anakin barely back flipped in time to avoid the collision. "Now, we have business to attend to! So stand down," Hondo warned as the other pirate captain got up and they both pinned Ge between them both as Hondo put his staff near her neck, "or her blood will be on your hands." Cue in the other pirates pulling out their blasters and
keeping the Jedi at bay as they all started getting on the ship.
Ge whimpered. "Forget about me!"
"I'd listen to her, Master Jedi."
Ahsoka gave sad eyes and Anakin was about to charge forward when Obi-Wan stopped him by the shoulder. Anakin gave him a shocked look but Obi-Wan only stared forward when he turned off his saber so; rather reluctantly, Anakin and Ahsoka did the same.
"Wise choice, Kenobi. Now, we best be on our way. Boys!" Everyone retreated in as the ramp raised up, Hondo leaving as well, leaving his human captain ally holding her close to him, giving off a dark yet protective aura. Anakin sensed it right away but as the ramp fully closed, his former master threw a small enough tracking device in the undercarriage. The ship took off at high speed, blinking out in the night sky.
"Why the hell would you just let them go?!" Anakin yelled heatedly.
"It was either that or watch them slit her throat. What other choice was there?" Obi-Wan calmly said.
"I called you over here because I thought the three of us would be enough to find her … and this is where it got us!" Anakin's voice grew louder as he spoke and he threw his hands up in the air at the end. Ahsoka kept a calm hand on his back as she explained.
"That human captain was on Ryloth during our mission there months back. He must have some vendetta against her."
"Or he was hired to capture her for another purpose." Obi-Wan pondered, brushing his beard.
"To help him find more kyber crystals." Anakin said after taking a few deep breaths to calm down.
"Possibly. Fortunately, that tracker of mine will lead us to them and it's small enough not to be detected by their scanners."
"How did you know we would need one?" Ahsoka asked.
"I am always prepared." Obi-Wan wryly grinned.
"Then we go after them." Anakin started walking away.
"First, we must inform the Council. Even Master Yoda needs to know what has transpired here. Hopefully, they'll see that it is of great importance that we must attend to personally. And … we'll need a ride back." Obi-Wan pointed out.
"He's right, Master. We need to think this through." Ahsoka reasoned.
Anakin groaned. He hated when they were right, especially Obi-Wan. Him and his proper routine. "Fine." He turned on his comm unit. "R2? Hey buddy. Uh … you think you can give us a lift?"
So yeah, what do you think?
