A/N: Okay… I'm on a writing spree. I wrote the last chapter and this one today within an hour… yeah.. It's a flowin'. I blame Supernatural… Yeah… Not very far in it but so far… I'm a bit of a Sam fan. Oh, the thoughts I get while watching that show… Poor same. Thank you for helping my twisted yaoi daydreams. Anywho, got of track. I know it's short but I hope you enjoy the chapter. XD

Chapter 10

The Nightmare King's Return

Jack sat on top of a tree, looking to the sky. He slipped his pale skin though his black hair and sighed. How much had to really changed? Pitch brought him excitement. A wild entertaining life that he had never knew existed. The darker side of the life. It was a thrill. Even so, He was beginning to miss his old life. It was just as fun, but more peaceful. More smiles and love. Sure he loved Pitch, but was it enough to make him lose his friends? He jumped down to the ground and slowly walked over to a freezing pond. He looked down at himself.

"This isn't me…." He said softly. He knelt down at the edge of the pond and began to splash water all over him. Surprisingly, the shadow seemed to wash away. He looked back down to see his white hair. His yellow eyes slowly going back to their natural icy color. He paused as he looked at his appearance and noticed something. He liked this look better. He liked this feel better.

"There's nothing else I can do…" Jack said softly to himself. "I have to tell him… My mind is made up."

As he looked at his reflection, Jack jumped with a slight fright when he noticed the shadow that had washed away, gather into one being, almost like a shape of a snake. Almost like it was a live. The front of it lifted up as if cursing him and slithered away into a hole in the ground. It left him confused as he blinked and tilted his head. Then went on his way to find Pitches realm.

The shadow slithered and slipped though the dark before it found itself within The Boogieman's home. The shadow slinked it's way through till it found itself in the room as The Nightmare King. Pitch was in gloom. In rage. He was leaned over in his throne chair rubbing his eyes as he murmured to himself.

"No! It's all their fault!" He snapped angrily in a hushed tone. "He was happy here. Willing to stay with me! I was kind as I could possibly be! Patient and gentle! I went against everything I am for him! He was like putty in my hands! Then that brat and that useless fur ball appear again and he's sneaking out and hanging with him! They're trying to take him away!" The shadow slipped up the chair and curled up on his arm. Pitch blinked a bit as he looked at the shadow curiously. "You? Why are you not with Jack?" He asked the shadow in an even more pissy tone. He lifted his arm as the shadow snake seemed to stretch out and hiss in the males hear. Pitch's eyes widened as he looked in shock. His chest tightened as he felt an unbearable pain hit him so hard, he couldn't barely breath. Tears slid down his face as he panted to try and catch his breath. Then he tightened his hand into a fist and hit the arm of the chair with all his strength. His teeth grinding against one another. Then, he loosened up a bit and slowly a tiny bit of a chuckle slipped past his mouth. Then, it slowly grew into a louder, more insane laugh. It echoed within the large dark halls as if a thousand Boogiemen where joining in on the joke. The nightmares nearby seemed to panic a bit and step back to hide, but the shadow snake didn't seem to falter. Didn't flinch. It was almost as if I was joining in the fun.

"I'll need your help, I you are willing to aid me, my friend." Pitch said to the snake. It slithered down off his arm and seemed to stand in front of him. It seemed to bow as Pitch's grin grew.

"Thank you… Let's teach these freaks what happens when you double cross The Nightmare King." He said with such victory in his voice. The nightmares, nightmare lings, and the shadow all seemed to celebrate in excitement. Ready for some time back into the earth.

"This means war."
