AUTHOR'SNOTE: This chapter did some WONKY shit with the formatting. I tried to fix all of it, but I might have missed something. I mean, it took out most of the quote-marks and stuff! So if there are still mistakes, I apologize. Kills OpenOffice.
The next chapter will be more POV and less random craziness, but believe me a chemistry class with those characters would be some fuckin' craziness.
BTW, as an Alexander the Great fanatic, I don't know how I managed to miss the Capsule Monsters episodes!

CHAPTER ELEVEN – First Day Part 1
VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV
" Are you sure I look okay, Yami?" Yugi asked as she checked her uniform in the mirror for the zillionth time. She had worn the school uniform as required but had dolled it up with a pink headband that matched the jacket and a few blue bangles. "I want them to like me."
"They liked you before, Yugi, and your personality hasn't changed. Your friends will always feel the same about you and everyone else will like you right away."
She smiled at her yami and took his hand in her own. "Alright, but you have to be the brother and take care of me, okay?"
"Promise. Are we meeting up with anyone this morning?"
"Yeah, with Joey, Tristan, and Tea," she said, nodding.
"You know, Yugi, I don't understand why Seto doesn't drive Joey to school with him in the limo."
Yugi smiled and grabbed her backpack then handed Yami his. "Because Seto stops by the office before school then drops Mokuba off at lower-school. Joey lives out of the way, so neither of them would be on time if he did."
"I don't think Joey would complain about being late," Yami said, laughing. "Will Bakura get to school okay without Ryou?"
"Duke lives near there and will pick him up," Yugi answered. "Cause there's no way Bakura would get himself up for school!"
Yami chuckled and opened the front door for Yugi, letting her outside first. "Actually, for once that might not be true. Today is going to be interesting, to say the least.h
"Is 'interesting' ancient pharaoh speak for 'total chaos'?"
"A lot closer than you'd think," Yami answered, amused. He leaned down and plucked a flower from one of their neighbor's flowerbeds, tucking it behind her ear. Yugi tried not to blush, flattered by her yami's sweetness at times.
They met up with the inner circle of their group of friends, all of them excited to see what would happen at school that day. "Aww!" Joey cooed, "Ya look cute in that uniform, Yuge!"
She blushed and gave him a light smack on the arm for making her do so. "I'm really nervous about today," she confessed.
"Don't be nervous!" Tristan insisted, "Hey, man, if they don't like you then Joey and I will pound 'em! You know we're always good for that much!"
Yugi laughed into her hands then looked at Tea, smiling. "At least I already have one 'gal pal' at school, right?"
"Sure, Yugi," she agreed, though she already had plans. She was going to make sure Yugi couldn't make any female friends.
As they approached the school, Yami suddenly had to jump off of the sidewalk to avoid being run over by a black and electric blue motor-cycle. He could hear Marik's laughter over the roar of the engine and see Ryou's white hair whipping behind as the bike passed.
"Nice, Marik!" Malik called ahead to her yami, "That's just how I like my pharaohs: Domino Road Pizza Style!" Yugi blinked at Malik's uniform. That was definitely not standard! Her skirt was too short, her pink jacket was open, and her white shirt was tied up so that it showed off her tummy.
"Marik!" Yami shouted, picking himself up and trying to dust off his uniform, "I'll make you pay for that!"
"Yeah, right!" The chaos twins slowed down and maneuvered into a shared parking spot. Ryou climbed down, limbs looking shaky.
"Are you alright?" Yugi asked her, worried.
"I think I left my breakfast back on Twelfth Street," she confessed, looking woosy. "Is my, ah, brother here yet?"
"Not yet," Tristan said, "But Duke was supposed to get him so they should be here soon."
"Oh," Ryou murmured. "Poor Duke."
The rest of the group laughed, knowing how Ryou's yami could be. Soon enough, Duke and Bakura arrived and met up with them. Duke ran up to Ryou and dropped to his knees, clasping her hands.
"Please! Be merciful! I'll give you anything you want, just keep him away from me!" Duke wailed.
"What did you do?!" Ryou demanded of her dark half angrily.
Bakura held up his hands, smirking evilly. "Duke was whining about being lonely – as if though I really give a shit if he's getting laid or not – so I reminded him that there are a large number of stray dogs in the neighborhood, and gave him some suggestions about what to do with them!"
Ryou rolled her eyes and smacked him hard on the arm. "You're supposed to be acting like me at school!" she whined, "Don't make me get the ruler after you!"
"Careful, Ryou," Malik cooed, hugging Bakura's arm, "I found out that he actually likes that."

As the trio of new girls walked into the room, their classmates swarmed! Yugi's head spun as people pressed into her on all sides. Yami laughed as all of the perky girls attacked her with hugs and introductions.
"Please be careful," Yami said, "I don't want anyone crushing my little sister!"
The girls all giggled, thinking that 'Yugi' was so cute when he was worrying over his twin.
A guy walked up to Ryou and gave her a grin. "Hi, I'm Ken."
Ryou blushed bright red and stepped back next to Bakura. Ken was a total womanizer, but he always went for the cute/sweet girls that were more likely to fall for his tricks.
Bakura, remembering Ryou mentioning this fucker before, let out a warning snarl. But he had to act like Ryou, so he put his hand on her shoulder and gave Ken a glare.
"What's wrong, Bakura-san?" Ken asked, "I just wanted to meet your sister. What is your name?" he asked Ryou.
"A-Amane-chan," she murmured, gripping onto her yami's arm and trying to hide. Unfortunately, this just made her seem appealingly shy to a guy like Ken.
Malik hopped up on the teacher's desk and crossed her legs, grinning at all of the guys drooling over the new girl and her bared, tan tummy. Marik stood behind her, glaring them away from his light. If any of them tried it, he would bite their hands and give them rabies or something!
"Make way you plebeians!" Seto snapped as the crowd of students blocked him from being able to get into the room. "Yes, they're new but that doesn't mean you have the right to mob them! Move!"
The students reluctantly moved knowing Seto would happily hurt them to get them out of the way.
"Thank you, Seto-nii," Yugi said, playing up the 'little girl' role.
Seto twitched but nodded. "You're welcome... Aiko-chan."
Yami grinned, knowing that had probably killed his rival.
The teacher walked in and the students except for the new girls went to their desks, not wanting to get in trouble first thing in the morning. Malik quickly pulled her jacket closed and gave the guys who had been drooling over her a wink. "Alright, class, I can see you've all met the new students but let's have them introduce themselves. Miss Mouto, if you'll go first."
Yugi blushed but stepped forward. "Um, I'm Aiko Mouto, Yugi-nii's little sister. Um... what else? Oh! I love games like my big brother! I've only beat him once, though," she confessed, smiling at Yami who grinned back.
"That's nice, Aiko. There's an empty seat next to your brother, so why don't you sit with him?"
"Thank you, ma'am," Yugi said, moving through the desks, trying not to giggle as Joey poked her in the side along the way, tickling her.
"Miss Bakura?"
"I-I'm Amane," Ryou whispered.
"Excuse me?" the teacher asked.
"I'm Amane Bakura," she said, slightly louder. "This is my second new school in just a few years, so I should be used to this, but.... I can be kind of shy at times. I usually look to my brother to protect me," she said, grinning at Bakura. "Even though he can be really mean and picks on me sometimes."
"Big brother; that's my job," Bakura cooed, a hint of his darkness showing through his Ryou disguise. Yami leaned over and cuffed him on the back of the head, hard. "Ow!"
Ryou giggled as the teacher directed her towards a seat near Joey and Seto.
"Miss Ishtar."
Malik grinned and decided that she was going to have some fun! "Yo! I'm Amira Ishtar, that lunk-head's little sis." She pointed at her yami who stuck his tongue out at her. "If you think he's a handful, you just wait!"
Everyone cracked up laughing as Malik bullied Duke out of his seat and stole it from him, putting herself right behind her yami. "I'm comfy right here!"
Duke sulked but moved to a different seat. When Malik was on a roll, there was no stopping her.
The teacher frowned at Malik, who just gave her best 'who, me?' look she had in her repertoire.
Yami rolled his eyes and glanced at Yugi. Psychos numbers one-through-three in school? This was going to be one hell of a day.
VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV
"Hi-ho. Hi-ho. Off to the lab full of corrosive acids and eye-burning gases and dangerous explosives we go!"
Malik squealed with laughter and grabbed onto her yami's hand, reaching up and rubbing his flattened hair as a reward. "That's a good crazy dark, oh yes, that's a good boy!" Marik grinned wide and started panting like a dog. "Come on, that's a good boy, say 'arf'!" "Woof!"
Yami pressed his lips tight together so he wouldn't laugh... so he wouldn't laugh... so.... "Hahahaha!"
"That's the scourge of Battle City?! Oh my fucking me, that's fantastic!" Bakura said with glee, pulling Ryou closer so he could smother his loud laughs in her shoulder, not wanting to let Marik's stupid ruin his play-acting.
"And I thought Joey was the only dog around here," Seto commented, sneering at his lover.
"Hey!" Joey protested, lunging at Seto in embarrassment. Seto smirked and side-stepped, sending Joey sprawling into the lockers.
"... Do I really have to make the 'bitch' comment here?" Duke asked.
"I think it kind of just made itself, dude," Tristan answered.
Tea crossed her arms over her chest and fumed. Her friends were so embarrassing! If it wasn't for their antics, she would have a lot more female friends, but who would want to put up with the guys' stupidity?
"Hey, 'Yugi'," Tea started, grinning at Yami, "do you want to be my partner in chemistry today?"
"That sounds great, Tea," Yami agreed as they walked into the classroom.
"I call my sister!"
"I call my brother!"
"Not a chance!" Tristan and Duke said firmly, each grabbing one of the Ishtar twins and pulling them to opposite sides of the room. "I don't feel like exploding today," Tristan added as he forced Marik onto one of the stools at a lab station.
"I'll work with this one," Seto said, tapping Ryou on the head.
Joey looked panicking between Bakura and Yugi, then quickly snatched up his now-female best friend.
"Sorry," Ryou said to her yami.
"Oh, I'll be fine," Bakura purred, going to sit next to the girl he had made cry the Friday before... the shy one with the raging crush on his light.
"O-oh, h-hi Bakura-san," she greeted, blushing.
"Hi, Kiki. I just wanted to make sure you aren't mad at me for the way I acted the other day. I know I was unbelievably mean to you. I was just worried about my sister; I'm not used to letting her wander around the city and was afraid she would get hurt."
"T-that's okay. You must really love her a lot."
" Oh yes. Why, Amane and I are practically two halves of the same soul. I couldn't live if something happened to her."
"Aw," Kiki said, "That's really sweet! Amane is lucky to have such a great brother."
Bakura smirked. Oh yeah, he still had it. He blushed and looked awkward. "T-thank you. So... would you, maybe, like to work together today?" he asked.
Kiki smiled and said, "I would like that."
"Either Bakura could act in Hollywood or that girl is more crazy for Ryou than we thought," Tristan commented, leaning back to talk to Yami and Tea.
"It might be a little bit of both, sadly," Yami said, shaking his head. "Well maybe playing Ryou will keep Bakura from destroying anyone or anything while we're in lab today." Then he turned his patented I-am-the-pharaoh-and-you-will-obey-me look on Marik. "And don't think I'm not keeping an eye on you, too, Psycho Number Two."
"Yeah, yeah. You know, you never explained to me exactly how we 'psychos' got numbered."
"Well that is quite simple!" Yami started, regally. "Bakura is Psycho Number One because nothing you or your prissy little light can do will ever make you more evil than a thousands-of-years old demon god that created the Shadow Realm out of boredom. You're Psycho Number Two because of the whole veins and glowing eye and killing people thing, and Malik is Number Three because she's still a hikari, even if she's an insane one."
"You know, I'm starting to wonder about that."
"Oh, trust me, Marik; your light is insane."
" No, not that, stupid pharaoh. That Malik actually is the light."
"Why on Earth would you think something like that?" Tea demanded.
"You'll see," Marik answered mysteriously.
The teacher came in and told Joey to hand out the lab sheets for the day, barely even noticing that there were three new faces staring back at him. He didn't get paid enough to give a shit anyway.
"Alright," Tristan said firmly to Marik, "you just sit right there like the good little crazy that you are and I'll go get what we need for today's experiment."
"Yes, Mommy," Marik sulked.
"If I really was his mother I would beat him like a drum," Tristan grumbled to himself as he gathered the liquids and powders from the supply cabinets.
Joey laughed as he got the things he and Yugi would need. "I would like to see that. Something tells me all of the yamis are raging submissives in the right situation."
"Well that something would be wrong!" Bakura hissed, giving Joey a hard shove as he moved through to gather a little this and that.
"For once," Yami said, "I agree with Bakura." Then he made a few gagging sounds.
"Aww, did that just about kill you, Pharaoh?" Bakura mocked.
"Hush!" Yami chided, not wanting anyone to ask about the 'odd nickname'.
"Out of the way, man-pansies, there's a lady coming through!" Malik pushed past all of them, knocking the approaching Seto into his lover, and used both arms to grab up as much as she could carry before prancing back to Duke, who looked terrified.
" That is not what I call a lady," Yami commented with a sigh.
Class went rather smoothly, all things considered. Yami and Tea worked well together, as did Ryou and Seto once Ryou realized it was best if he just shut up and did as he was told. Tristan had smacked Marik's hand so hard that the spirit had wailed loud enough to get the teacher's attention just for reaching for a beaker. And Yugi and Joey were doing passably.
Tea gazed at Yami dreamily as he watched the timer to see how much longer their green concoction needed to stay over the Bunsen burner. Yami was such a good partner, very attentive to details and calm about working with dangerous elements and fire. He was always so confident!
"This is going really great, 'Yugi'," she said, watching a few bubbles rise through the liquid.
"Yes. I'm surprised how easy I find it since my twin had expressed her own dislike for chemistry."
"She probably gets nervous," Tea explained. Yugi had once been shaking so bad he spilled hot water all over their papers. Luckily it had only been water!
"I see! That certainly sounds like her. We're certainly doing well though."
"I guess it's because we have great chemistry together, right?" she asked, hopefully.
"Hmm, yes. We trust each other and that seems very important when working with chemicals like this."
Tea sulked. Not exactly the love confession she had been hoping for, that was for sure! Why wasn't the spell working? Yami was supposed to be head-over-heels in love with her by then! She was going to find a time to go back and talk to that swindling witch!
On the other side of the room, poor Duke and Kiki were trying to keep Bakura and Malik from blowing up the school! Bakura had given up on the project entirely, far more interested in the sparks produced by the 'metal clicky that makes fire'. Malik was busy dumping the entire contents of the chemical cabinet into a beaker.
"We aren't even using sulfate in this experiment!" Duke protested as Malik poured 'about a cup' in.
"It will just add a little life to it!" Malik protested, using a glass pipette to add two drops of... something purple into it.
Bakura grinned and took his 'clicky' then put it under Malik's now neon-pink soup and pressed it. Malik dove under the table and avoided the explosion. Duke did not.
"It's in my hair!" Duke shrieked, "It's burning and it's in my hair! My poor scalp!"
"Chemical spill!"
The teacher rushed Duke under the emergency shower and pulled the cord, soaking Duke in freezing cold water. Tristan rushed over to check on his buddy while Marik cracked up laughing.
"If we're washing Duke, we need to get his clothes off!" he called, "Ladies first!"
"That's not funny!" Yami protested, "He could be hurt!"
"Aw, his hair's still there; he'll be fine."
Ryou stood up and went over to her yami, grabbing him by the ear and dragging him back to her and Seto's table so she could yell at him. "What were you thinking?!" she shrieked, "You shouldn't have been encouraging her and I've told you how dangerous fire can be!"
"So as punishment you're going to bust my eardrums?" Bakura complained, just setting his light off more.
The teacher finally released the cord and Duke was standing there shivering with his clothes clinging to his body and his hair falling down around his face and shoulders. The man looked at Malik and said, "How did this happen, young lady?!"
Malik gave him her most innocent (yeah right) grin and said, "My evil twin did it!"
Marik smirked and turned back to Yami and Tea. "So as I was saying earlier!"
