Chapter 11
Grantaire sat curled up in his seat on the Eurostar with his headphones in listening to audiobooks. Enjolras sprawled out on their shared table doing his Easter homework and planning their end of year revolt. "Relax Pollo," Grantaire chuckled stretching his legs out over his boyfriend's lap. "This is supposed to be a fun week away with your loving, charming, witty, sophisticated, handsome boyfriend," Grantaire smirked, picking out Enjolras' bowl of chips.
"Even though it is the holidays Taire there is still work to be done," Enjolras murmured, transfixed in his plans. There would be no convincing Enjolras to do anything else this train journey so Grantiare shuffled into a comfortable position and dozed while listening to the latest Skulduggery Pleasant book, Last Stand Of Dead Men. The world raced past as Grantaire dozed and Enjolras frantically wrote. About an hour later, Grantaire stretched out and spotted Enjolras staring at him. "Enjoying the view sweetie?" Grantaire asked, pulling his headphones out with a soft smile playing on his lips.
"You pull funny faces every time anything happens on your book," Enjolras chuckled, losing his interest in the sheets in front of him. Grantaire spotted Enjolras' attention flickering and shuffled over the seats to snuggle with his boyfriend.
"That's cause it is a good book darling Apollo," Grantaire chuckled, pecking Enjolras' lips softly. Enjolras pulled away before Grantaire could pull him deeper into the kiss.
"Not here Taire," Enjolras whispered, seeing an old Parisian couple watching them with distaste.
They carried on the same way with Grantaire aimlessly flirting and Enjolras working until they pulled into London and hurried off the train into the dismal British weather. "Ahh, it's good to be home," Grantaire chuckled, linking arms with a sulking and slightly damp Enjolras.
"I hate rain," Enjolras grumbled as they ran out of the station into the tube station.
"Oh stop moping grumpy, you get a special treat tonight," Grantaire chuckled as he checked his phone.
"Please don't say that's an innuendo," Enjolras groaned but smiled when Grantaire elbowed him in the side.
"No dummy, I mean you get to meet my real family," Grantaire chuckled, his smile illuminating his face entirely. "The people my mum used to work with are all in Wicked and it is final night tonight so there is a cast party," he laughed pulling Enjolras into the tube train. "And we're invited," Grantaire blurted out, kissing Enjolras in his excitement.
"Grantaire, what have I told you above public affection," Enjolras growled under his breath.
"This is London mon amour … anything goes," Grantaire laughed, still bouncing on the balls of his feet. "Now come on, I need to show you the wonders of the theatre!"

"Did you like it, did ya, did ya?" Grantaire asked excitedly as they left the theatre and walked round to the stage door.
"Yes I did R, thank you," Enjolras chuckled, pecking his lover softly on the lips.
"Well you paid for it," the giddy cynic chuckled, pulling Enjolras in for a longer kiss. Grantaire released Enjolras eventually just to knock on the stage door before wrapping his arm around Enjolras' waist again. A small woman opened the door and Enjolras recognised her as the woman who played Madame Morrible.
"Nicolas! Mon petit," she exclaimed throwing her arms around Grantaire. "And this must be your boyfriend, Julien," she beamed, giving Enjolras a thorough examination. "He's as pretty as your drawings suggested," the woman added, causing both teenagers to blush ferociously.
"Fantine stop it," Grantaire chuckled, returning her embrace.
"Come in, come in both of you. It's freezing out here," Fantine fussed over both the boys. The three of them stepped into the corner and slid through the bustling halls into the recreation room for the actors. "I just found out Nic, that my little girl's at your school now," Fantine smiled, as she walked backwards through the corridors.
"Really?" Grantaire smiled, still holding tight to Enjolras so he didn't lose him in the crowds. "I don't know anyone called Euphrasie," he puzzled, turning to Enjolras who just shrugged. He didn't either and Enjolras knew everyone in that school.
"She goes by Cosette now darling," Fantine chuckled and Enjolras' jaw dropped.
"You're Cosette's mother?" he exclaimed in shock but the only reply he receive was a soft ringing giggle.
"I'm guessing you know my little one then," she winked at Enjolras' dumbfounded expression.
"But, but, but," he mumbled, still speechless.
"Fantine had to leave Cosette at an orphanage when she was a baby, she was adopted at a young age and her step father has kept Fantine informed on her doings," Grantiare whispered, explaining the circumstance straight into his boyfriend's ear. "Anyway! Let me introduce you to the rest of the family, these guys were here when my mum and dad never were," Grantaire smiled, kicking the double doors open flamboyantly.
Inside were a crowd of people but you could instantly tell who it was that were waiting for Grantaire. "Nic!" three girls screamed, all throwing themselves at the unsuspecting Grantaire. In these situations most lovers would begin to get uncomfortable as their other half became overly affectionate with three incredibly attractive girls. The only thing that kept Enjolras from tearing Grantaire away and marking his territory was the constant mantra rolling through his head of 'he's gay, we totally kissed and made out, he's gay!' After what seemed like a lifetime for the bystanders, Grantaire pulled away and beamed at Enjolras.
"Enjolras, meet the girls. Charlotte, Lana and Ellen," Grantaire introduced, gesturing to each of the three waving girls. Charlotte was clearly the oldest of the three, probably about Grantaire's age, and seriously looked like a super model. She was around Enjolras' height which made her about a head taller than Grantaire; long natural platinum blonde hair hung in loose curls around her face.
"Hi, I'm Charlotte, as you know from R's naturally inadequate introduction," she smiled, and Enjolras found himself smiling back. He liked her already.
"You were Glinda right?" Enjolras smiled, shaking her outstretched hand.
"That's right," Charlotte giggled, releasing his hand. "And I'm the oldest of this unruly bunch, twenty three and counting," she chuckled, noticing Grantaire whispering to the other two girls who were desperately trying not to giggle. "And I sincerely thank you for taking that one off my hands, it's so much more peaceful around here," Charlotte teased, ruffling Grantaire's curls affectionately as he huffed.
"Hi I'm Ellen and this is my baby sister Lana," the taller of the two remaining girls spoke up. Enjolras looked at them and could clearly see the resemblance between them. "I'm twenty and Lana is sixteen," she added and Enjolras noted the ages for future reference.

Before long both teenagers were leaving the stage door incredibly drunk, well, Enjolras was drunk and Grantaire was drunk out of his mind once again. Charlotte had been the designated sober driver and drove both men back to their hotel room. One thing Enjolras did notice was how when Grantaire was drunk he became incredibly cuddly and affectionate. He was currently stumbling with his head resting on Enjolras' shoulder and his arms wrapped round his lover's waist; to everyone watching this was quite amusing. For an independent, rebellious fifteen year old, Grantaire was very clingy quite a lot of the time but especially when he was drunk, which was quite often. Enjolras shifted Grantaire's body weight further onto his shoulder before lifting him into Charlotte's car with a fond smile in his direction. When he first saw Grantire, Enjolras hated him. He hated how he refused to learn; he hated how he clearly mocked his ideals. But nevertheless the drunkard grew on him, and now Enjolras loved Grantaire with all his heart and never wanted to let him go.

"I'll miss you mon amour," Enjolras whispered softly kissing Grantaire when they arrived outside the Enjolras mansion gates.
"We'll only be apart for three days Julien, you'll be fine," Grantaire chuckled, patting him softly on his cheek. "I have to finish re decorating our dorm room before you get back anyway," he added with a shrug before pulling his motorcycle helmet back on again and straddling the bike.
"I know … I just hate my family," Enjolras groaned, pouting extravagantly.
"Three days love!" Grantaire shouted as he revved the bike and drove off. Enjolras sighed before straightening his posture and walking down the drive. It was going to be a long three days.
