"Do you really have to go today?" whined Po as he helped Syaudi pack. After Chiszle's "attack" on Monkey, the guests had decided it was time to go home.
The older panda gave a sad smile as he slowly paced the room, feeling around for his belongings. "I'm afraid so," he murmured, "We don't want to overstay our welcome."
"You're not!" argued Po.
The blind panda patted the younger's shoulder and grinned, "I am glad that you and my daughter became friends. I've not seen her so happy since her mother died."
In another room of the palace, Shifu was helping Amah and her twins pack. "Ah enjuoy deener lahst naht, Shifu," the mother said over her shoulder.
Shifu grinned sadly, "I did too. It's too bad you have to leave so soon." The twins turned to each other and made big eyes at each other, teasing their mother and her "boyfriend".
In front of Ping's noodle shop, the rickshaw the guests had brought with them was being loaded with luggage and food. Tigress noticed Chiszle dejectedly keeping his eyes on the ground. She grabbed Lihai's arm as she passed, "Is he going to be okay?"
The albino looked over at her brother and sighed, "He's still embarrassed about loosing his temper. But I think he's also going to miss everybody." She turned to Tigress and grinned, "I will, too." Tigress grinned back. Even if the two tigresses had not socialized much with each other, they had established a friendship.
Everyone had. Po, Monkey and Mantis were all saying their goodbyes to the tiger, assuring him that his behavior was forgiven. Ungwa and Shei-He were exchanging farewells with Crane, who asked them to say hello to Tyan for him. Chwun Hwa gave Po a big hug, and then a peck on the cheek before joining her companions, Amah doing the same to Shifu. Syau Yen the swan was saying goodbye to Mr. Ping, both of them a bit bashful. Hsiao Lung mustered the courage to say goodbye to Viper without stammering, the smaller snake kissing his cheek and sending him back into shyness.
Finally, Syaudi bowed to Po and Shifu, who bowed in return. "Thank you, my friends. I hope we will see each other again soon. Feel free to come to Shou anytime."
"And you all are always welcome here," Shifu responded. Some final bows on both sides, and then the guests left.
Sorry if the ending stinks. I plan to do a sequel, but I want to finish two other stories I'm working on first, and I'm thinking of starting a new one.
