Chapter 10 Training and Overprotective Siblings
"Are you sure you still want to go through with this?" One shadowy figure asks.
"Of course." The other figure growls.
"But sir!" The first person protests. "They have three known Jinchūriki! How-"
"You dare to challenge me?!" The second figure hisses angrily as they cut off the first. "You needn't worry about that. We have a spy on the inside."

Yukiko was bored. Very bored. And when she was bored, bad things happen. The instructor her Sensei had dumped her with had just chosen to lecture her about the many different uses of senbon, something that had already been drilled into her by Anko-nee.
"Shouldn't I be working on my Taijutsu?" Yukiko asks with an innocent tone and expression. "Since my fight is with Rock Lee?"
Her instructor goes slack jawed at her question. Yukiko decides that she can train on her own and leaves the area.
**** Flashback ****
"We'll take a one month break so everyone can prepare for their fight." Hayate declares. "The first matches are displayed on the board."

Yukiko begins to stretch before she starts on laps. She'll have to work more on her Taijutsu. After fifty laps, she makes her weights heavier and continues. A shiver goes down her spine, making her pause. Something bad was going to happen, she could feel it.

Naruna felt her eye twitch. The perverted old hermit in front of her had just introduced himself as Jiraiya the Toad Sage. And now he was in a ridiculous pose.
"I don't give a damn, dattebane!" Her left hook sends him into a wall. "Don't peep, you perv!"
The women in the springs catch on to her shout and descend upon the man. Naruna has a pleased smile on her face as she leaves.
'I'll have to talk to Tou-san about his ero-sensei.' Naruna thinks to herself. 'What do you think Kyuubi-nee?'
'You should have castrated him.' Kyuubi replies with a growl.
'Maybe next time. . .' Naruna muses.

Ace, Satomi, and Fu were counting the amount of money they had.
"We can get a decent sized boat and four months worth of food for this." Ace says. "I already have a couple of months worth of food packed away."
"Let's worry about the rest later." Fu says.
"I can get the boat." Satomi says. "I'll get it the day before we leave. Then we can put our supplies in storage scrolls."
"Man." Ace has a sad grin. "I'm a little upset about not being able to see Yukiko's fight, but she'll get over it."
"Naruna's gonna kick your ass." Fu grins evily at him.
"Shut up!" Ace's face turns bright red.
"This is actually a really good plan." Satomi suddenly announces. "No one in the Elemental Nations knows about the Grand Line. The Akatsuki wouldn't be able to get to Fu."
"Akatsuki?" Ace frowns at them.
"We'll tell you later." Fu nods.

"Tobi is a good boy!" The strange man with a spiral mask says cheerfully.
"Quiet, Tobi." The plant-man growls. "We need to focus on the task at hand."
"Aww. . Zetsu is a meanie!" Tobi whines.
"Agghh. . ." Zetsu growls angrily.

"Haruno Sakura?" Anko raises an eyebrow at the pinkette.
"Hai." Sakura smirks.
"Cheeky brat." Anko returns the smirk. "Let's start your training."

"C'mon, SasUKE." Kakashi eye-smiles merrily as he drags his student to the hospital.
"Why am I the one who has to learn medic stuff?" Sasuke scowls.
"Ne, Sasuke?" Kakashi turns to him. "Do you really think Naruna or Yukiko would be able to learn medic jutsu? They don't have enough patience. Get it?"
"Ha ha." Sasuke replies sarcastically.
"You're such a mean little gennin." Kakashi sounds like he's pouting.

"Umm. . . Kaa-san?" Gaara avoids eye contact. "How do you know if you . . .like someone?"
"You have a crush on someone?" Izumi smiles in surprise. "What's her name?"
"It's. . . Yukiko." The name is more of a whisper.
"Really?" Izumi asks. "Why don't you tell her?"
"Hmm. " Gaara looks at her. "How would I?"
"This might take a while." Izumi sweats a bullet.
***^^~~~+ Two Weeks Later +~~~^^***
Yukiko stood outside, leaning against the wall. She whistled a tune while she waited. Gaara had come by training the day before and asked if she would go to dinner with him. The black haired girl mused to herself that if she hadn't gotten ninja training from Anko and hadn't know Ino or Naruna, that she'd be completely oblivious to what a 'date' was. Her idiot mask hadn't been there ever since Sasuke gave her that talk.
'He really does need to stop saying I'm an Uchiha so loudly. . .' Yukiko thinks. 'I need anyone after me. . . yet. Not until I set sail.'
Naruna and Ino tried to force her into a dress, but the best they could do was a black knee length dress and a red blouse. They made her let down her hair, which reaches mid back.
"Yukiko." Gaara is also wearing civilian clothing. "You look nice."
"You too." Yukiko grins at him.
Naruna POV
Ino and I peak around the corner. Gaara and Yukiko talked as they have their date.
"Aww. . ." I whisper to my accomplice. "They're so cute together."
"We need to pair up more people." A devious smile forms on Ino's face.
"How about Kiba and. . ." I trail off, trying to think.
"Hinata?" Ino offers.
"No!" I immediately protest. "No one can have Hina-chan!"
"Have you been taking sister lessons from Ace?" Ino laughs.
"O-of course not!" My cheeks burn.
"Oh! I know who to pair up next!" Ino squeals. "You and Ace!"
3rd Person POV (With Yukiko and Gaara)
"Did you hear that?" Yukiko turns to him.
"Ino and Naruna spying on us?" Gaara replies. "They aren't being quiet about it."
"And we're supposed to be ninja." Yukiko laughs. "Shishishi!"
"Oi!" Ace appears out of nowhere, pointing an accusing finger at Gaara. "We're gonna have a talk!"
"Ace-nichan!" Yukiko pouts in protest. "What're you doing here?"
"I'm uhh. . Protecting your virtue!" Ace finally exclaims, looking a bit flustered.
"You sound like Jiji." Yukiko laughs and Ace's expression turns sullen.
A dark cloud appears over Ace's head. The next thing they know, Ace is sitting in a corner, muttering something about a 'stupid old man'.
"Let's go before he recovers." Gaara, much to Yukiko's surprise, scoops her up bridal style and shushins onto a roof.
He carries her across the rooftops until they reach where Yukiko has been living with Ace and Anko. Gaara sets her on her feet.
"You won't be able to avoid him forever." Yukiko grins at him mischievously.
"Then I will talk to him later." Gaara nods solemnly.
"Thanks, Gaara." Yukiko says. "I had a great time with you today."
"Me too." Gaara gently places a kiss on her cheek. "Goodnight, Yuki-chan."
"Night." A bit of pink dusts her cheeks.

"And you're sure?" A voice asks impishly. "Completely sure?!"
"Aye, Sir." A second voice replies. "She's here. What are you going to do when you see her?"
"Take her with me?" It's more of a question.
"Oh boy. . ." The second person sighs.

They could hear the scream across the village. Yukiko ran as fast as her legs would carry her, a look of pure horror painted clearly on her face.
"Run!" Yukiko yelled at Naruna. "Get out of here! Evacuate the village!"
"Get back here!" A voice boomed from down the street.
"It's too late. . ." Yukiko whispered.
