A/N: *Peaks out from under a rock* Hey guys... long time no see... life was really busy for me for quite a while... and I had a bad case of writer's block. But! Here's the next chapter. I'll try to be better about updating... but I can't guarantee that it'll be frequent. That being said... I hope you guys enjoy this chapter!
"Are you sure this is right, guys?" Susan Storm-Richards asked her husband Reed, and his current science partner Hank Pym.
"Well, it's only half the puzzle at the moment, Sue." Reed said, looking at the syringe of purpleish-blue liquid in his hand.
"Only half? What do you mean?" Janet Van Dyne asked, more to her boyfriend Hank than anyone else.
"He means that this serum should turn the subject into a three year old again. And from there, we need to work our way backwards to figure out how to restore us to normal. The only thing left to do is test it." He explained.
"Oh… but couldn't we just get the Enchantress to turn you guys back to normal? Once she wakes up? I mean, Sif said that they would get answers out of her."
Both boys shook their heads. "We can't wait for that Janet. We need everyone back to their normal selves soon, before some villain finds out and tries to take advantage of the situation." Reed said, a bit condescending.
Jan huffed a little, offended. "Are you saying you think us women couldn't handle a threat if it showed up? Listen buster I've been leader of the Avengers and Sue here had kept you boys together more than…" She was cut off as another person entered the room.
"Susan! My beloved Susan Storm! How wonderful it is to see you again!" Namor the Submariner exclaimed, as he immediately swept Sue into a bear hug.
"Oh… uh… Namor… what a surprise…" She said, blushing a little at the closeness.
Reed glared at Namor and crossed his arms. "Kindly release my wife Namor and explain why you are here."
Namor looked at Reed, but didn't release his hold on Sue. "Ah. So it is true. You are now a three year old. This is pleasing news to Namor. As you can no longer properly fulfill your duties, Namor will happily take it upon himself to take care of beautiful Susan."
Sue managed to escape Namor's hold as he had a glaring match with Reed and looked over at Jan with a 'help me' look, and Jan couldn't fail her bestie. Jan made her way over to Sue and wrapped her arm around Sue's waist.
"I'm sorry, Namor. But I can't let you do that. As Suzie's bestie, it's my job to watch out for her. And I can't do that if she's in Atlantis and I'm here." Jan explained, looking at Namor sternly.
Namor turned and looked at Jan, then at Sue, and grinned. "Very well. Namor will take both of you to Atlantis. One can never have too many beautiful women around." He said, bowing graciously to Sue and Jan.
"I… Uh… that is…" She certainly hadn't expected that reaction! Though, she did think about the proposition. Namor was a very handsome man… and he would take care of Sue… more than Reed had, and if Sue became his Queen, that would mean Jan would be able to live a very lavish life in Atlantis, with her bestie…
While Jan was thinking about Namor's offer, she completely missed the annoyed, and jealous, look Hank was giving Namor. Well, he'd fix this real quick, Jan was his girlfriend. They'd only just gotten back together… and he wasn't going to make the same mistakes twice! He cleared his throat. "Uh, Jan? I believe we're ready to take a break for the moment, so uh… if you wanted those cuddles…" He said, holding out his arms.
Jan looked at him when he cleared his throat and perked up at his statement. "I'm sorry, Namor! I'll have to take a rain check on that offer! Sorry, Suzie… but you know how it is…" She said, leaving Sue's side and going to Hank. She picked him up and cuddled him against her chest, sighing happily.
Hank blushed at the affection, he'd never been that interested in PDA, but wrapped his arms around her neck and nuzzled her shoulder, very much enjoying it.
Sue rolled her eyes, but couldn't help but smile. At least things seemed to be working out for Jan now. And as her best friend, it made sue happy to see.
"Very well, it is your loss. Come, Susan! We shall be off!" Namor said, grabbing her hand and starting to lead her to the door.
"Namor, I…" Sue started.
"You can't take her…" Reed said at the same time, both were interrupted as Hank McCoy joined them.
"Oh dear… am I interrupting something?" He asked, as he made his way to the table and climbed up on a stool. Looked around at everyone and blinked.
"Yes. You are. Namor was just about to take his new Queen back to Atlantis."
"Hey… Namor, I haven't agreed to that!" Sue exclaimed, starting to get a little irritated.
"Yes. And she's needed here. We need to get this serum completely figured out and turn everyone back to normal." Reed said, firmly.
Now Sue was really annoyed. Really? Could he not just say that he wanted to keep her here because he loved her? Did he really have to use an excuse like that? At least, she hoped it was an excuse.
Namor looked at Reed again. "You think to tell Namor, the King of Atlantis, what to do?"
As they began arguing, Beast looked to Hank. "I take it that syringe is your progress so far?" he asked.
"It is. We have to test it though. It should turn whoever it's injected in into a three year old." Hank explained. Beast nodded and turned to look at Reed who seemed to be brandishing that syringe around as his argument with Namor escalated. 'I'd better get that from him before he accidentally stabs himself'. As Beast reached for the syringe, he leaned a bit too far over, causing his stool to fall and him to tumble into Reed, who fell forward against Namor.
Both women, and Hank, gasped as they watched the scene unfold, unable to get to any of them. The syringe ended up tuck in the vein of Namor's elbow, and as Reed tried to get his balance back, he ended up pushing down the plunger, injecting the serum into Namor's bloodstream.
Sue manage to extract the syringe, a little too late since there was nothing left in it, and grab Reed, leaving Beast to stand up from his place on the table.
"What is happening to Namor?!" Namor asked as his body began to change.
"Reed! What did you do?!" She exclaimed.
"I didn't mean to! This is why I don't like having so many people in the lab! It just causes problems!" Sue couldn't tell, but she could have sworn she saw a smirk on Reed's face.
They all watched as Namor's body began srhinking. His speedo falling to the ground as he finally stopped shrinking. And a naked, three year old submariner stood before them. He looked down at himself, then up at them.
"What have you done to Namor? He demands that you change him back now!"
Hank sighed. "Unfortunately, you're stuck in our situation until we can create the antidote that will turn us back to normal. On the bright side, we know that it works!"
Jan gave Hank a 'Not helping' look. And Hank rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, giving a nervous laugh.
"Yes. We did need a test subject. So, just think of it as having happened for science!" Reed said, nodding.
Sue rolled her eyes and shook her head. He so did that on purpose. Which was really sweet, but it gave them another child to take care of. Even if he still had his memories of his adult life. She grabbed a pair of little shorts and boxers she'd brought down with her in case someone spilled something on their clothes and handed them to Namor. "Put these on, Namor." Namor opened his mouth to say something, but Sue cut him off. "No. Put them on. You're on land and you have to play by our rules."
Namor blinked, but smiled. "Spoken like a true Queen. Very well. I shall do as you ask." He pulled on the boxer and the shorts. 'There. Now then, As Namor was saying…"
Namor stopped what he was going to say and they all looked up as they heard a very loud and high pitched. "HULK SMASH!"
"Oh nuts! We'd better get up there!" Jan exclaimed as she ran past the others, still holding Hank.
Everyone else quickly followed. If Bruce had become Hulk, even with him being a three year old, it'd probably still take all of them to stop him.
