"Chisaki, I need to borrow some money." Rayen said sitting down at the table. Chisaki rolled her eyes at her sister and stabbed her eggs with her fork.
"Why do you need money?" Chisaki asked.
"It's a surprise!" Rayen exclaimed after a moment of thinking.
"I'm not giving you money for weed." Chisaki said.
"I don't smoke weed!" Rayen snapped. Chisaki glared at Rayen while she continued to eat her breakfast. "Anymore. I don't smoke weed anymore." Rayen corrected herself.
"Well you aren't getting any money!" Chisaki said. Rayen rolled her eyes and picked up her purse.
"Fine. Well, I'll be right back." Rayen left the house and went around the corner where she usually went to smoke once every week now. She sat down on the bench next to a younger looking boy. She pulled out the carton, taking the last cigarette in the box and pulling out her lighter. She took a few draws until the boy sitting next to her said something.
"Um, do you mind putting the cigarette away? It troubles my breathing." Rayen took a good look at the boy: he had long brown hair and cloudy brown eyes. He wore simple clothes; a red long sleeved t-shirt and jeans. He had a cute young looking complexion.
"Oh, uh, yeah sorry!" Rayen said crushing the cigarette under her boot and throwing it away.
"How old are you anyways? You look too young to be smoking." The boy asked.
"16…." Rayen replied.
"That's illegal, you could get in big trouble for that. And you could die from smoking." The boy said.
"I know… I'm quitting… that was my last cig this month…." Rayen said.
"Well that's good." He said with a smile. Rayen smiled as well with a soft blush.8
"My name's Rayen."
"My name's Yuki." Rayen smiled even more, until she noticed the suitcase next to him.
"Where you going with the suitcase?" Rayen asked.
"I don't know… I only have 5,000¥… I don't have parents, or a place to stay." Yuki replied looking down at his feet.
"Really?! That's the exact amount I need to buy the apartment I wanted! Maybe we could, I mean if it's okay with you-"
"Live together?!" Yuki exclaimed.
"Yup!" Rayen said. "I mean, I know we just met and this is absolutely crazy, but this might be the best option for us!"
"That is crazy but… I'm in!" Yuki exclaimed.
"Great! I'll be back in about 10 minutes! Wait right here!" Rayen said.
"Where would I go?" Yuki joked. Rayen let out a giggle and then ran off to her family's house. She ran upstairs and put all of her cigarettes in plastic bag, and she grabbed the suitcase she still hasn't unpacked from when she first got home. She ran down stairs and threw her cigarettes in the trash.
"Where you going?" Chisaki asked.
"Oh, I'm moving out!" Rayen exclaimed before Chisaki could ask anymore questions, Rayen was already out the door. She met up with Yuki and Rayen lead him to the relater's and showed him the apartment she had planned on getting.
"Ah Rayen! You got the money for the apartment?" The relater asked leaning on the desk.
"Yup! We'll take it right now!" Rayen exclaimed putting the money down on the desk.
"Ah! Good good! Here is the key, and the spare key. And here's tne address!" The relater said handing Rayen everything.
"Thank you!" Rayen exclaimed. Then her and Yuki found the apartment and pulled out their stuff. After they had set up all their things they had sat down together in the bedroom. They heard banging on the front door and they both jumped in shock at first. Rayen opened the door to see her pissed mom standing in the doorway.
"Rayen." Tsubomi grunted. Rayen backed away from her angered mother a bit. "You never told me you were moving out." Tsubomi said trying to stay calm.
"Well I was gonna but you weren't home." Rayen said.
"You still could have told us." Tsubomi with a lighter tone to her voice this time.
"I'm sorry. I just wanna try to be a good daughter again." Rayen said looking down at her feet. "So I'm gonna start school soon and get a job! And live here with Yuki!" Rayen exclaimed now making eye contact with her mother.
"Yuki?" Tsubomi asked.
"Yup! Yuki come here please! I want you to meet my mom!" Rayen exclaimed. Yuki came out of the other room and he stood next Rayen.
"K-Kon'nichiwa Mrs. Hanayoharu! I'm Hisaipo Yuki! Hajidemaste!" Yuki said bowing.
"Oh, it's very nice to meet you too! You don't have to be so formal; you can call me Tsubomi." Tsubomi said surprised with the boy's polite manners and wondered how he even met Rayen.
"I would not normally allow this… but since I'm not one to talk… I'll allow it." Tsubomi said.
"Arigatou!" Rayen exclaimed giving her mom a hug.
"Woah!" Tsubomi said surprised by this action. Tsubomi let out a sigh a wrapped her arms around Rayen, something she hadn't done in years. "Well I better get going. If you two need anything, just tell me and I can help out." Tsubomi said giving thema warm smile.
Thanks so much... mom." Rayen said.
"It's no problem." Tsubomi said. "Well, I better be getting back home. I'll stop bye tomorrow, okay?" Tsubomi asked.
"Okay, see ya mom." Rayen said before her mother left.
~At Tsubomi's~
"So, what happened at Rayen's?" Olivier asked as Tsubomi washed the dishes.
Well, I guess she plans to go back to school when the new term starts and get a job to pay off rent." Tsubomi replied.
"What about her roomate?" Olivier asked.
"He's shy and a bit quiet. Reminds me of you a bit." Tsubomi said with a giggle.
"What do you mean?" Olivier said.
Well," Tsubomi started. "he had that feel to him that you had when I met you. He seemed lost." Tsubomi explained. Then Chisaki came down stairs along with Ruri.
"So you let Rayen move out?" Chisaki asked.
"Yes, she's trying get back on track." Tsubomi replied. "And Chisaki, I want you to start respecting you're sister. She's gonna have a lot on her hands from now on." Tsubomi looking Chisaki straight in the eye.
"Respect her?" Chisaki asked. "I mean... I understand everything going on, but respect her? I don't think you get it." Chisaki said with tears starting to fall down her cheeks.
"What do you-" Tsubomi asked but Chisaki cut her off.
I mean this!" Chisaki pullin up her sleeves showing the cuts that were almost gone on her wrists. "This! She caused this! You all caused this! I can't do this anymore! I can't deal with any of this! I'm sick of this! I can't live like this!" Chisaki shouted and ran up to her room crying and locking the door. Everyone followed her upstairs and Olivier knocked on the door.
"Chisaki, please come out!" Olivier said.
"I'm never! Just leave me alone!" Chisaki shouted. Then there was a loud crash outside. Ruri flew downstairs and outside to find a monster terrorizing the town.
"Ruri!" Mioki exclaimed running over with Akika.
"Let's do this!" Akika said. Akika and Mioki did their usual transformations.
"Wait where is Chisaki?!" Snowdrop asked as they were doing their group pose.
"She won't come out of her room! She suddenly got super pissed and she showed us cuts on her wrists and then she ran upstairs and locked the door to her room." Ruri replied.
"We have to do something!" Almond said kicking the Desetrain out of the way.
"Get out of the damn way and let me save my friend!" Snowdrop shouted and pulled out her tact. "Snowy Tact!" "Snowy Forte Wave~!" Snowdrop shouted her attack and she spun her tact in a circular motion in front of herself, going faster and faster till the Desertain literally exploded. Mioki quicky de-transformed and ran inside the house up to Chisaki's room.
"Chisaki! Chisaki!" Mioki said banging on her door. Akika eventually caught up to Mioki.
"Chisaki!" Akika shouted and broke the door down. Mioki ran over to her friend. Mioki and Akika's eyes widened in shock.
Earlier in Chisaki's room she sat on the floor, with tears dripping off her chin. A knife was in her hand. She pressed the knife against her thigh till red liquid slowly oozed out.
Cut, cut, cut.
She let a few grow to many.
Let the red run down her arms and legs.
The blade is her brush and her skin is her canvas.
She let the depression eat her heart away.
She couldn't feel anymore.
Would anyone save her?
Could anyone save her?
Before it's too late?
Or is it too late?
The bottle is open.
The pills are in her hand.
Her hand is up to her mouth.
Gulp. Down the pills went.
She coughed and coughed gasping for her last breath of life.
Cradled in her friend's arms, she continued to cough.
Was it far too late?
Nanami: CLIFFHANGER AHAHA! We'll see if her friends can make it in time to save her….
