A week later Riley and Spencer were married. Penelope and David planned and gather everything that was need very quickly, knowing they were working on a small time clock since Riley didn't want to get married with a very pregnant belly. And for that fact neither did Spencer.
The ceremony was small and included each member of the BAU. David Rossi offered to walk Riley down the aisle since she didn't have anyone. She gladly accepted. Spence of course asked Morgan to be his best man and Jack to be his ring barrier. Riley asked Penelope, JJ and Emily to be her bride's maids and they all were gladly to wear the strapless purple dresses that Riley had chosen for them especially since Riley was hoping to one day stand up for Penelope and Emily if given the chance. Henry was their flower boy, since none of the BAU members had any girls, they wanted into include Spencer's godson in the wedding somehow.
Spencer awaited his bride to be in the backyard of Rossi's "mansion" they had chosen for since Riley had fallen in love with the area since she had come to Quantico. Riley herself was wearing a white dress that was flowing and showed her pregnant stomach, though it was only very slightly. The two went on a small honeymoon before Spencer was called back to work and life resumed but happier for they were together and wouldn't have to worry about anything again for some time.
Five months and 3 weeks later…
Spencer was supposed to be getting back from a case, though he didn't want to leave his very pregnant wife in a different state alone or something to happen to her.
"Spencer I'll be fine. Your on your way home now and will be here in a few hours. Plus I have Penny here with me at the office if I do go into labor" Riley says into the phone while she walks around her office at FBI headquarters.
"I know Riley but I worry. Your nearly 9 months pregnant and I want to be there if anything were to happen to you or the baby" he says as they board the plane back to Quantico.
"Ok hon, but I promise if anything were to happen I'll call you and let you know. I swear" She says hoping nothing will happen before Spencer got home.
"Ok. Is Garcia staying with you until I get home?" he asks as Morgan jokes with Prentiss about how worried Reid is about the baby. Reid hits Morgan and all Riley hears is a loud "Ow" into the phone.
"What was that?" Riley asks worried Spencer got hurt.
"Nothing Beautiful, Morgan's just being his usual self" he says taking his seat.
"Ok well I better let you go so you guys can take off and get home" Riley says.
"You know we don't have to get off the phone" he says.
"Yes we do. If you don't then the plane can't take off and that means I'm more likely to go into labor while your not here. So I love you and I'll talk to you when you get back to the apartment" Riley says playing off of Spencer's slight fear.
"Ok, ok. I'm getting off. I love you too and don't do anything dangerous until I get home" he says.
"Sure thing Handsom. Bye" she says and hangs up the phone and gently rubs her swollen stomach. When she hears a knock at the door. "Come in" Riley says sitting down at her desk.
"Hey you ready to head back to your place?" Garcia asks.
"Sure thing Pen. I just need to file this folder and I'll be ready" Riley says getting up and puts the file into the filing cabinet and shuts the drawer. "All ready" she says and picks up her jacket and purse.
"I'm glad we'll get back before all this snow sets in" Penelope says.
"You and me both. Though I hope Junior here decides to wait until the roads are clear before wanting to come see the world" Riley says jokingly.
"That or until your boy gets home" Penny says.
"That too" Riley says as they walk through the building until they reach the car in the garage area.
They reach Riley and Spencer's apartment and get the door opened when Riley feels a sharp pain in her abdomen. Riley tries to ride through the pain but Garcia notices.
"Hey you ok?" Penelope asks worried.
"I think so. Just a little pain that's all nothing to worry about" Riley says.
"If it happens again were going to the hospital. I don't want you going into labor without a doctor present because delivery a baby isn't in my qualifications" Garcia says.
"Ok, I'll let you know but don't call Spence. He doesn't need to worry, at least not yet" Riley says keeping calm. "Plus it might be false labor pains. I mean I got those last week and it freaked Spencer out a ton" Riley says going to sit down on the couch.
"I remember" Garcia says smiling. "I think he can't wait to meet the baby. I still can't believe you guys wanted to wait about the knowing sex" she says pouting.
"I didn't want to know and Spencer respects that and didn't want to know either. Plus I know Morgan's had a bet running on if it was a boy or girl" Riley says.
"Yeah, I've got mine on a boy" Penelope says.
"I don't care as long as its healthy" Riley says rubbing her belly again.
After about 20 minutes Riley gets another sharp pain which Penelope notices almost immediately. "Ok missy, we are going to the hospital. Now" Garcia says.
"I agree. That didn't feel like last week" Riley says getting up and just as she does her water breaks. "Great" she mutters as her legs and the floor is soaked in fluid.
"Ok change of clothes and a little clean up and then the hospital" Garcia says and starts rushing around getting everything done.
Riley makes her way to the door after getting changed and waits for Penny. Penny gets everything done quickly and grabs Riley's hospital bag and heads to the car with Riley. Riley tries to call Spencer but his phone is off. "I'll call him at the hospital" Riley says as they get on the road.
A short time later they arrive at the hospital. Contractions still nearly 20 minutes apart. "I have a pregnant lady in labor" Penelope yells as they walk into the emergency room.
"Pen, calm down" Riley says trying to calm her friend who seems more freaked out then her and she was the one about to give birth.
"Sorry" Garcia says as a nurse comes over with a wheelchair.
"Are you ok ma'am?" the nurse asks Riley.
"Yes. I'm fine. Just some contractions and my water broke about 30 minutes ago" Riley says sitting down as the nurse ushers her into the wheelchair.
"Ok, were going to get you checked in and get you into a room. How far apart are your contractions?" she asks wheeling Riley towards the desk to pick up some paper work and such and wheels her off to a room.
"About 20 minutes or so" Riley says to the nurse. "Penny try to get a hold of the team, please" Riley asks her friend.
"Ok perfect. Is your husband on his way?" the nurse asks getting Riley into her room.
"I hope so" Riley says as she watches Penelope go out into the hall. "My friend is trying to get a hold of him and some other of our friends" she says getting into the hospital gown and into the bed.
"Alright. Until then just keep calm and let me know if you need anything" she says getting Riley hooked up the all the monitors and such.
After about 10 minutes Garcia comes back into the room. "Anything?" Riley asks her friend. "I got a hold of Morgan and he said they had just landed and they were all on their way here but said Reid was super happy and freaking out" she says.
"That's good I guess" Riley says as another contraction hits.
Garcia grabs Riley's hand and helps through the contraction. "They better get here soon" she mutters.
"I agree" Riley says when she's able to talk again.
Morgan and the rest of the BAU team pull into the ER and run to the front desk. "I'm looking for my wife, Riley Reid, she just went into labor" Spencer says to the nurse at the desk.
"Yes sir. Follow me and I'll show you to her room. Your allowed in until the time where she is fully in labor and then the doctor will ask you all but the father and another to step out of the room." She says walking towards Riley's room.
The group hears a moan of pain as they near the room, "It's ok girlfriend. They'll be here any minute. I hope" Garcia says still holding her friend's hand.
Reid and the rest of the group rush into the room. Reid looks extremely worried. "hey beautiful" He says entering the room.
"Spence, you made it" Riley says and relaxes.
"Of course" Reid says and goes to the other side of the bed and pulls the chair towards her bed. "I told you I'd be here" he says taking her hand as Garcia lets go of it.
Hours later…
Riley gives birth to her and Spencer's baby. All of their friends wait in the waiting room to hear the news. "I'll go get them. You two just sit there" the nurse says smiling at the new mother and father.
"She's so beautiful" Riley says looking at her new baby girl.
"She is. She looks just like you" Reid says kissing Riley's forehead. "Thank you" he says.
"Spencer, without you I won't have her. This is one of the best moments of my life" she says and kisses him quickly on the lips, exhausted as they hear a knock on the door.
"Come in" Spencer says looking up towards the door.
The entire BAU group and their family members come into the room with flowers and gifts. "Congrats" is hear from each and everyone of them as they file into the room.
"Ok we want to know. Boy or girl?" Morgan asks.
"I would like to introduce you all to our little girl, April Marie Reid" Spencer says taking the little girl from her mother's arms.
Riley smiles as Spencer walks over to their friends with their daughter and starts to doze off.
Everyone gets a chance to hold her and compliment how she looks like either of her parents. Everyone isn't aware that the new mother has fallen asleep. The group keeps talking as Penelope asks, "So Riley…oh she's asleep guys" Penny says looking to one of her friends.
"Labor does that to you" JJ says picking up Henry.
"We better let her get some rest and you both can bond with your daughter" Hotch says and then adds. "Both your parental vacation starts now"
"Thank you Hotch" Spencer says. Everyone leaves and takes their family with them. The only three left in the room are Spencer, Riley and their new baby girl April.
Early the next day, Riley wakes up and panics and then remembers where she is and what happen. She goes to look over at her baby girl and see shes missing. When she looks around she sees Spencer and April sitting in the chair fast asleep and then April starts to stir.
"Spence" Riley says and gentley shakes his knee.
Waking up, Reid looks towards his wife and smiles and then looks down at the baby girl in his arms who looks up at him. "Hey Beautifuls" Spencer says to both his wife and his daughter.
"I think someone is hungry" Riley says as April starts to get fussy.
"I don't blame her" Reid says and hands over their daughter as Riley gets ready to feed her.
After her feeding April falls back asleep in her mothers arm when they hear a small knock at the door. "I wonder who that could be" Riley asks as the door opens to reviel the BAU girls. "Of course. You all want to see her" Riley says smiling as the girls come in one at a time.
"You bet. Its been four years since we've had a baby in the family" Penelope says.
"Plus we have the day off and descided to come talk to you and let Henry see his baby cousin and then let him and Spence hang out while we have girl talk" JJ says as Henry comes in behind her. Spencer grabs his attention and he walks over to his godfather and they start talking.
"She just went to sleep" Riley says and hands the baby over to Emily.
"She's so cute Riley" Emily says and then cooes at the baby. April wakes up slightly and blinks at Emily. Trying to figure her out.
"She's just like Reid. Always has this curious look about everything" Emily states.
"That she does and I can already tell she's going to be super smart just like her daddy" Riely says as Henry asks to see his baby cousin. Emily hands the baby to Reid and he sits down on the floor with Henry and lets him hold April and talk to her. JJ, Penny, and Emily all watch in aw. Riley giggles slightly and ajusts her bed to sit up.
"When can we spring you?" Penelope asks.
"Not quiet sure but I'm sure as soon as I'm out of here I'll announce her godparents and make sure Spencer goes back to work" Riley says.
"I'm not going back to work for six weeks" Spencer says from the floor.
"And you'll go stir crazy" Riley mutters.
"I agree. Maybe you should take like two weeks off. That way you're their for Riley and April for the important two weeks and then gradually go back to work so Riley can get used to caring for April while you aren't there" Emily says.
"I think that's a great idea" Riley says.
"I'll talk to Hotch but no promises" Reid says turning his attention back to Henry and April
After a few days, Riley and April are released from the hospital. Riley carries April towards the apartment as Reid gets her bag and the baby gifts.
The door is opened and Riley looks at April, "Welcome home baby girl" Riley says.
"I'm glad your both home" Spencer says kissing his wife and his daughter.
"Me too Spencer" Riley says and closes the door. Now their life together can truly begin.
