Later that night as he was getting ready for bed, Inuyasha couldn't help thinking about what Kagome told him earlier this evening. He couldn't believe Kikyo had the audacity to send him a message! Did she get a kick out of messing with him? Wasn't it enough she betrayed him and lured him into a trap? And how could Kagome compare herself to Kikyo? He had noticed the striking resemblance at first, but that was truly all they had in common. There were little differences he had noticed. For example Kagome was slightly curvier, and boy did he love those curves... She was also a little shorter, her cheeks a little chubbier, and she had dimples. Those little things made all the difference to him. Sighing Inuyasha tugged off his shirt, and his pants followed next, along with his undergarments. He would take a quick shower before he settled into bed and dream of the raven haired witch.
Turning on the water to the shower he stepped in and went through the routine of showering while his mind lingered on Kagome. He had walked her home about an hour ago, after their night of junk food and TV shows. He hoped that she was in her bed thinking of him; it would only be fair, what with him thinking about her all the time. He shut off the water and made his way to bed, looking at the empty side of it for a moment before closing his eyes and trying to get some sleep.
He woke with a start about two hours later, sweat coating his body. He ran a hand through his hair in frustration and bit back a curse. He had had that damn dream again. With a growl he threw the cover aside and put on a jogging suit for a quick run through the forest. Curse Kikyo and her message, and curse Naraku and his twisted way of thinking and simply being. Down the stairs he went and locking the back door behind him he took off into the forest and just ran.
"Good Morning, Higurashi!"
Kagome bent her head and sighed a moment before Hojo stopped by her locker with a smile.
It was irritating really. He just annoyed her sometimes. "Good Morning, Hojo." She replied and closed the door to her locker. "To what do I owe the pleasure of your company this morning?" she asked sweetly, all the while mentally rolling her eyes.
Hojo shrugged and said softly, "I was gonna ask if you wanted to go to the fair this weekend?"
Kagome shook her head, "no thanks Hojo."
He sighed sadly and nodded. "I thought so, catch you later then." He waved and left her by her locker. Kagome shrugged her backpack onto her shoulder and wondered why Inuyasha hadn't shown up yet. As the bell rang for class she walked slowly, looking for a glimpse of him on the way to first period but she didn't see him. She would have to look for him after class.
Inuyasha glanced at his watch and saw that school had started two hours ago. Knowing that he couldn't miss too much days now that he was graduating this year, Inuyasha stood and brushed his palm along the gravestone gently, "It was nice talking to you pops." He knew that his dad couldn't hear him but it made him feel better to talk to his gravestone anyway, it helped him vent and reflect on things. Like what he was gonna do after he graduated. He would need to get a job of course. And then there was finding what out what he wanted to do with his life.
The one thing he was certain of was who he wanted to spend it with. Kagome. He wanted to see her smile and laugh, grow and mature with her, lay next to her, watch her sleep, bring her to the heights of passion until his name spilled from her lips in ecstasy…most of all he wanted to watch her belly swell and grow with their child who would be lucky to have her as a mother.
A sharp tug of possessiveness filled him and he knew that his demon side agreed.
But before any of those things could happen he needed to find a way to move past this cursed phobia, and dammit he was determined to do it! For his sanity he would move past it so he could have a chance at a relationship with Kagome.
Reaching his home he went inside and got cleaned up for school.
Upon entering the school Inuyasha went to his locker and got his books after checking his schedule. He shut the door and was prepared to go to his next subject when Kouga 'bumped' into him. Inuyasha glared at the stupid idiot and brushed off his sleeve, the wolf left his stench on it.
"Watch where you're going would ya?" Kouga smirked.
"Fuck off Kouga." Inuyasha growled.
"Well well, a little feisty today aren't we?" he smiled and poked Inuyasha in the chest. Inuyasha growled and went to leave when Kouga opened his mouth.
"Gonna look for your precious Kagome aren't ya? You're pathetic how you follow her around like a lost mutt." He sneered.
"At least she likes me being around her, you're jealous because she likes me and not you. Does it hurt your ego that she prefers me over you?" Inuyasha glared at him.
Kouga glared for a second and then shrugged. "You can have at her; she'll get bored of you soon and come running to me, a real man who can touch her without freaking the fuck out."
Inuyasha gave him the finger and walked away. Kagome wouldn't get bored of him, he would be able to touch her and hold her soon. He was going to see to it himself.
Kagome walked down the front steps of the school after last period with a frown on her face. She hadn't seen Inuyasha all day, she hoped he was alright. She remembered the last time he missed school… shaking that thought from her head she continued on her path, deciding that she would go straight to his house to make sure he was alright. Just then her hair was tugged and she turned to curse the hip hole for being annoying only to meet familiar golden eyes smiling at her. The harsh words died on her lips and she glared at him.
"I've been looking for you all day mister."
Inuyasha smiled sheepishly, "I had a late start to my school day that's all."
Kagome frowned, "Is everything okay? Did something happen?"
Inuyasha clearly heard the concern in her voice and it made him feel light as air. "I had the dream again, that's all." He shrugged not wanting her to worry too much.
Kagome lightly touched his hand in comfort. She wished there was something she could do to help his phobia.
"So where were you off to?" Inuyasha asked, trying to change the subject.
Kagome continued walking, looking over her shoulder at him. "I was going over to your house to check on you actually."
Inuyasha shrugged, "So what you gonna do now?"
"Now I just got to go home catch up on some homework. Did you wanna come by later?" she smiled.
Shrugging his shoulders he replied, "I'll think about it."
Kagome looked at him deadpan. "You seriously have to think about it?"
Inuyasha blinked. "Yea."
Kagome rolled her eyes and walked ahead, they were nearing the steps to the shrine. "Men." She said blandly. "I'll never understand you." Inuyasha scoffed and scratched his head. "Yea well it isn't like you wenches are any easier to figure out." Kagome shot him a glare… "Touché." She said finally.
Inuyasha smirked proudly. Kagome rolled her eyes and began heading up the steps to her home. "See ya later Inuyasha." She called out. Inuyasha called back to her, "Maybe."
When Kagome got home she started on her homework and completed it an hour later. From there she helped her mom straighten up and much to her embarrassment her mom tried to tell her about the birds and the bees. This goes to say, there was a lot of "mom!' whined in embarrassment and also a lot of blushing from Kagome. Mrs. Higurashi finished the conversation, much to Kagome's horror, with a question that Kagome never wanted to hear from her mother again…
"Do you need me to teach you how to use a condom?"
Kagome wanted to die.
"Oh my gosh, mom no! I'm fine!" she blurted quickly.
Mrs. H smiled, knowing her daughter was embarrassed. "Are you sure dear? I could show you a trick or two." Mrs. H tried hard not to laugh.
Kagome mouth dropped open wide in shock. Recovering quickly before her mother could continue, she covered her ears, "Oh gosh mom, stop! My ears…they burn…"
Mrs. H laughed outright and tapped her daughters shoulder, "I'm just teasing, dear."
Kagome sighed in relief and went to her room, leaving her mom to finish up. Mothers could be so cruel sometimes.
With my hands I rubbed the soap over my body gently, my mind wandering as the steam from the shower clouded the room making my daydream feel all the more sensual. My hands became his hands, the tanned skin and claw-tipped fingers gliding over my wet, warm body, sending tingles down my spine as they brushed along my nipples, before teasing them into erect buds. I sighed in pleasure as my body responded to the image my mind created, warmth pooling in between my thighs…
The hot water ran instantly cold pulling me out of my daydream with a force. I stifled a curse as I heard the toilet flushing in the bathroom down the hall, the reason behind my water turning cold.
"Souta! I'll kill you!" I hollered.
A muffled, "My bad!' floated through my walls and I sighed heavily. The water warmed back up but my daydream was already shattered. I lathered up my legs and grabbed my razor; my legs were in need of a shave.
Halfway through the process as I was gliding the razor up my left leg something heavy dropped in my room. I started and cut my leg by accident. "Crap!' I swore loudly and dropped the razor to inspect the damage. Just then my door pushed opened and Inuyasha dashed in. "Kagome, are you okay? I smelled blood...'
My eyes dashed up to see Inuyasha standing in the open doorway, slack jawed and staring at me. I blushed at the picture I made, all wet and soapy in the shower, bent on one knee with my legs open. I watched as he drew in a breath and his eyes traveled hungrily over my body, and suddenly I felt sexy and desirable.
I smiled and rinsed away the small amount of blood on my leg. "Hey, Inuyasha. Yes I'm okay I just had a little accident shaving my legs."
He caught himself and covered his eyes with his hands and backed out of the room, closing the door. "Shit. I'm sorry Kagome." He said through the door.
Making quick work shaving the rest of my legs I rinsed off a final time and stepped out of the shower. Wrapped in a towel an exited the bathroom the see Inuyasha getting ready to go out of the window, his backpack in hand.
"Going so soon?' I called to him. I glanced at the backpack and figured maybe it was the thing that dropped earlier. He turned to look at me and I swore I saw him blush. "I uh, I thought I'd give you, your uh…privacy." He muttered.
"Come on, I bet that's not the first girl you've seen naked. No need to run, I'm not embarrassed or uncomfortable.' I smiled reassuringly at him. He quirked an eyebrow at me, "You sure?" I nodded and he moved away from the window and dropped him backpack back on the floor with a thud.
Now I'm sure that that's what dropped earlier.
As he sat on the bed I moved to my dresser and pulled out a light green nightgown that stopped by my knees and went in the bathroom to slip it on, along with some lotion on my arms and legs. No harm in having smooth skin.
I climbed into the bed next to him but not too close and smiled when I caught his eyes travelling over my body again. "See something you like?" I teased with a grin. His nostrils flared and his voice was husky as he looked me in the eye, "I see someone I want."
My heart beat fast in my chest at his words and I gasped. Fine bumps spread over my skin and my nipples tingled as they pulled into tight peaks. The effect he had on me was dangerous and I found that I liked it.
A groan escaped him as he leaned his head back against the wall that my bed was pushed against. "I love that you're so responsive." He breathed huskily.
My blood was pumping in my veins. God I want him! And if I'm considered too forward then too bad, I'm a healthy teen with a sex drive and I wanted him to be my first. Knowing I would have to wait a long while until I could be intimate with him I tried to calm my raging hormones. We both wanted one another and that would have to be enough for now.
Tentatively I brushed my finger against his hand and smiled at him when he looked at me. He held my hand, brought it to his face and rested my palm against his cheek. "Kagome." He said softly.
"Yea?" I replied.
He swallowed and looked around the room for a moment. "I know I'm not the most normal guy in the world, and I have issues but…' he paused and I squeezed his hand in reassurance. '…Will you be my girlfriend?" he finished finally.
My eyes widened and I smiled brightly, "Yes!"
Inuyasha looked at me for a moment before his face broke out into a smile. A kiss was placed in my palm before he linked his fingers with mine. "I wish I was able to hug you."
"Soon Inu," I whispered. "Soon."
