Cornelia POV
That laugh, I remember that laugh, that evil laugh. It belonged to someone, someone who I fought, who I tried to defeat, someone evil. But someone had kissed me; it was a warm and tender kiss. He screamed my name, but I can't seem... to remember his name, but I want to
I feel so in the dark, I don't understand what going on. Please I want to see, why can't I see what's happening. I did see, but I don't know if it was the truth. I want to see!
I can feel myself become aware of my surroundings, but when I look I stared in horror at the bodies of four girls and a male lying on the ground, and they seemed lifeless. The bodies not even making a single movement, I turned and saw a man dressing in dark clothing laughing an evil laugh.
"Did I do this?" I thought "Why can't I remember?" I screamed in my head
This all seemed so familiar, like I've seen this before... what? That's when my head started to hurt, I grab my head in pain.
Suddenly a felt a hand grab my ankle, I turned and looked down at the male body on the floor. "Cornelia please remember" that face it looked so familial, his voice was so soothing "Cornelia it's me Cable, please remember"
'Caleb' that name felt special to me "Look at yourself, this isn't you. You wouldn't hurt your friends... or me"
I looked around "I did do this, but why?" I asked myself
"Look at yourself" he said as he sat up and held a piece of glass to me. He seemed in pain, his body trembled he tried to hand me the glass. I saw scratches and bruises cover is arms and hands, but I saw a huge gash travel from his forehead to his cheek.
I was hesitant to take it from his hands but I did, as I stared into the piece of glass I noticed my eye, they were complete while, almost as if I had died inside "No...no...NO!" I screamed and I dropped the piece of glass is shock.
It smash on to the ground, it to a thousand pieces
I remembered... those eyes haunted my dreams for so long. I knew who I was and I knew who everyone else was... but I hurt my friends, and the man I care for. How could I do this? I feel a warm tear spill down my cheek, I'm a monster!
And without warning the man I saw earlier stood behind and whispered into my ear "You're service is not longer required earth guardian" and with that said I felt a sudden jolt of pain fill my body as I felt a sword enter my body and go through my stomach. I see the blood fall off the sword and hit the group, I see Caleb stare in horror as tears feel down his cheeks
"Caleb-" the sword was pulled out, as Caleb watched "-I'm so sorry" that's when I feel to the ground in pain
Caleb's POV
"No..." I whispered, all I saw was red. From the blood around Cornelia's body, from the rage the boiled inside of me
"YOU MOSTER!" I screamed
"I told you, you would watch her die" he looked down at her "Looks like her nightmares came true"
"What?" I asked in confusion
He chuckled "I gave her visions of the future that lived in her mind and haunted her dreams"
"You're sick" I spat
"Yes, and now I'm going to steal the powers from my little sister and no one will stop me" he said as he raised his arm, to shoot an electrifying mass at me
"Except for us!" I heard a voice say, I turned to see the guardians up and ready to fight, but what I also saw was princess Elyon standing with them
"What is the meaning of this!" Phobos spat
"I heard everything Phobos, you're a monster!" Elyon screamed "And for what you have done you will pay" as herself and the guardians leaped into action
"Guards... Cedric!" he screamed before he was shot with a powerful light
Elyon came down next to me "Go to Cornelia, we will handle my brother" I nod and make my way over to her.
I pray she was still alive, she looked weak and lifeless, but as I got closer I saw her chest rise and fall... she was alive
I picked her up and held her close making sure one of my hands was there to support here, she was cold, colder than winter. Her tanned skin was like while snow, her hair was covered in die blood, her own blood
"Cornelia?" I asked, but no response "Cornelia, please open your eyes" I begged
I see her eyes start to open, they where back to her beautiful shade of blue, but they seemed lifeless "Caleb?" she asked
"Yeah it's me" I reassured her as I stroked her cheek
"Hey" she said in a weak voice
I let out a sad chuckle "Hey"
"I'm so cold" she muttered
"Don't worry you're going to be fine" I said as I brought her closer to my chest
"I'm so sorry Caleb" I pulled her back and looked down at her "I'm sorry for what I did to you... what I did to everyone" she took in a shaky breath
"Don't apologize" I said in a stern voice "I should have protected you, I could have prevented all this from happening" I let out a long breath "What you did was not your fault, you have no control so don't you dare blame yourself" I say as a tear from my eyes lands on her cheek
I feel a cold hand press on my cheek, as I notice she is trying to wipe away my tears. I take her hand into mine and hold it close to my heart "And you shouldn't blame yourself, you couldn't have realised what was happening, I kept it to myself... and that was down fall"
"Don't say stuff like that, it's okay to be scared" I let my hand travel to the wound "Just like I'm scared now" I whimper
"I'll be okay, trust me it's just a scratch" she tried to reassure me, but I could see how much pain she was in
"Always so cocky Cornelia, some things never change" I joke, as she chuckles again but this time its ends in a coughing fit with blood coming up, that's when my fears grew stronger. I didn't want to see her die
When she finished she looked at me "I heard what you said" she stated
"What did I say?" I know I said a lot of things but what was she talking about
"About how much you care for me... about...about how y...you-"
I interrupted her "That I love you" She nodded "I do Cornelia, you brighten up my world with just your smile, you make the even the longest days seam short, I can't explain how much I love you and my love for you keeps on growing more and more every single day. I feel my heart skip a beat when you are near, and my heart feels so compete because your apart of it. If you leave me... God Cornelia I don't know what I'd do, your my only one true love now and forever"
A tear of joy feel from her cheek "I love you too... you are the only man I will ever love, now and forever. And if I do leave I'll always be with you-" she lifted her hand to my heart "-in here, don't ever forget that"
"No you won't leave, I won't let you!" I cried
"I don't want to leave either" she whispered, the tears of joy where replaced with tears of pain and sadness "Please tell the girls I'm sorry and that I'll miss them"
"Don't do this Cornelia" I whispered
"And tell Elyon I'll miss her so much" She ignored me
"Please don't" I felt my heart being torn and broken into small and tiny bits
"I'm sorry, I can't... it hurts" she said in pain
"I'm sorry I couldn't protect you' I said as I bring her closer to my face
"And I'm sorry I'm leaving" she cried
That when I brought her lips to mine, she share a long and passionate kiss. All our feeling rolled into one kiss, the love, the hurt everything was said with just a kiss. I felt her hand, weakly caress my cheek letting me know it was going to be okay, but it wasn't. It was never going to be okay. Not now... not ever!
When we broke the kiss I looked into her eyes and saw them full of tears
"I'm going to miss you most of all" she whispered
"Please don't go" I cried
"I 'm so sorry" I could hear how weak she was just by the tone of her voice
"I love you Cornelia" I whispered as I kissed her cheek
"And I love you Caleb" she whispered and that's when she became lifeless, her whole body shut down as I heal her body close and cried into her once golden hair.
"No!"I cried "This can't be happening!"
