Sorry about the long hiatus. I couldn't think of anything else to write, but after a long writer's block, I decided to start up this story again! Instead of once a day, I'll be posting once a week. More if possible, but at least once a week. Thank you everyone for your support, and I hope you enjoy a 'part 2' of sorts to Raspberry White Mocha!
"Yang! Get back here right now!" Ruby yelled out at chasing her mischievous sister down the sidewalk. Summer had officially started, and Yang was excited about it. A little too excited. Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang had gone to a nearby park to enjoy the nice day. The sun was shining bright, and there was a slight breeze. The park was large and green. In the center there was a clearing for a majority of sports or flying kites. Trees were littered along the concrete sidewalk. Blake was reading a book in a nice shady spot on a bench where the sister's race had begun. Weiss was giggling at the red and yellow blur as she was scrolling through the social media on her phone. "How dare you shoot me with that water gun!"
Yang laughed as she sped off. She turned to see her sister right on her heel. Yang quickly took a few more shots with the water gun in attempt to slow her down. Ruby's speed was only compromised for a mere few seconds as she yelped and picked up her pace. She tackled Yang, pinning her down long enough to disarm her and use the weapon against its owner. "Not so fun is it!" Ruby shrieked with delight, "Actually it is kind of fun!"
Yang proceeded to throw her sister off, and pulled out a smaller secondary water gun and returned fire. "See sis? It's not so bad!" She laughed.
Weiss sighed when she had grown bored of the incessant ranting of drama addicted people on her social media, and turned her attention to the silent black haired girl next to her. "So Blake was it?"
"Mhm." Blake breathed without looking up.
"Well… I'm Weiss. So what book are you reading?" Weiss asked trying to get her attention.
"Third Crusade." Blake answered, straining to keep her focus on the pages.
"Oh… Okay." Weiss replied with a hint of annoyance, "And you're dating Yang right?"
Blake's eyes twitched over to Weiss for a moment. "Yes I am, and I assume that you're Ruby's friend?" Blake closed her book as soon as she realized she couldn't avoid the conversation. She never really thought too highly of the preppy type that she presumed Weiss to be. As soon as they had gotten to the park Yang had assaulted Ruby with a weapon of watery wrath, so there were no formal introductions.
"Actually I'm her girlfriend, I was told this was a double date so I only assumed," Weiss said haughtily, "Ruby did tell me a little bit about you, but from what I heard, and you sounded really nice." Weiss forced a smile, 'They made it sound like she wouldn't ignore me the whole time…' She looked at Ruby with envy as she had fun with her sister.
Blake perked up a bit in surprise to the comment. "Thanks Weiss, I didn't think they told you anything about me. I would like to think that it wasn't anything bad if you have that impression of me," She sighed with a hint of guilt. "I didn't mean to get too comfortable with the book, it's really easy to zone out when I read."
Weiss hesitated. "I understand. I can get that way when I study. Anyway, the weather is nice out today isn't it?" She stated, trying to forget about school work. "Aren't you hot in what you're wearing?"
"I'm used to it" Blake replied quickly. She was wearing a black band shirt with baggy stonewashed gray jeans. Her girlfriend was wearing khaki short shorts with a fiery orange tank top, while Ruby wore something similar in shades of red and gray, but not as revealing. Weiss was not as well dressed for the makeshift athleticism that the sisters were taking a part of. She was wearing a white and red floral tank with a loose flowing matching skirt. Blake reached down for her book bag, and Weiss noticed something black on her arm as the sleeve rode high.
"BANZAI!" The two sitting girls were ambushed by their girlfriends, spraying them from behind.
"RUBY ROSE!" Shrieked the white-haired girl, standing up and stamping her foot.
"Yang! My books!" Blake yelped, shielding her book bag.
"Weiss Schnee!" Ruby giggled as she slung her arms around the steaming girl from behind, "You're so cute when you're mad!" She nuzzled her face into her lover's damp neck.
"That was freezing cold! What on earth would possess you to do that?!" Weiss shivered in a pitiful way.
"Hey don't blame me princess! It was Yang's idea to begin with. Although it was pretty fun!" Ruby snickered while still squeezing Weiss, "Don't worry, I'll keep you warm!"
Weiss' cheeks flushed pink with warmth at that notion. "Well I guess I can forgive you this time. Even if you did resort to throwing your sister under the bus." She then quickly turned around and gave Ruby a quick peck on the cheek, before turning to glare at Yang "And as for you…"
Yang was far too preoccupied to listen to Weiss bicker. "Babe, I'm sorry! I forgot you brought your books with you. They aren't messed up now are they?"
"Yeah the one I had out just a few drops on it," Blake sighed, "Don't worry about it. I'm all wet now though."
Yang smirked as she slung an arm around Blake. "Oh Blakey, I thought you liked getting-"
"Ew." Weiss interrupted.
"Hey I have an idea, how about we all go down to the café and get some iced coffees!" she chirped, "Yang could I ride with you on your motorcycle? You haven't taken me for a ride on it in a long time!"
"Yeah!" Yang cheered, "How about it you guys?"
"Well if I'm going anywhere else, I'd like to go home and change first." Weiss grumbled, glaring at the two sisters.
"Me too." Blake nodded, "Wait, Ruby didn't you come here with Weiss in her car?"
"Oh yeah…" Ruby remembered, drooping her shoulders.
"It's okay sis, maybe next time."
Weiss could see that Ruby was pretty distraught. Despite whatever prank her girlfriend may play on her, she hated to see her disappointed. Ugh I spoil her… Then again it would be nice to get to know Blake a little better so we don't have awkward conversations when we all hang out again.
"Well if I don't mind if Blake rides with me. I'll drive her to her house, and then to mine. So we both have a chance to change," Weiss offered, "You two can go ahead and head to the café and get the drinks ready. We shouldn't be too long." There was a silence as the other girls glanced at each other. Weiss felt a wash of embarrassment. "I-I mean we don't have to, I just thought it'd be easier if-"
"I don't mind at all," Blake stated, "I always get to ride with Yang."
"Yay!" Ruby squealed as she hugged Yang.
"Only if you're sure babe!"
"Of course." Blake reassured.
"Alright, don't let the Ice Queen be too mean to ya!" Yang laughed, "C'mon Ruby!"
"Hey!" Weiss pouted.
The two sisters sprinted towards Yang's motorcycle as they left Weiss and Blake in the dust. "Well then. Shall we, Blake?"
"Sure." Blake smiled.
