Molly woke up to sunlight streaming through her windows. She opened her eyes slowly and found herself in her double bed, with Owen sleeping next to her. She sat up quickly. All of her clothes were on. She let out a sigh of relief.

Owen awoke now, turning to her, "What happened last night?"

Molly shook her head, "I think I made someone angry last night."

"You mean, the Harvest King?" She looked at him, surprised.

"You know about him and me?"

He nodded, "I saw you guys talking a few days ago." Molly nodded in consideration. She got out of bed.

"I need to see him. I need to make amends."

"Molly, no," Owen pleaded with her, holding her hand as she walked towards the door, "What if he hurts you again?"

"He won't hurt me, not this time. He could have done that last night if he wished. Please, Owen, I must go." He nodded and hugged her tightly. She hugged him back.

"Come back safely," he told her, "Here, let me walk you there. I have to go see Gramps and Chloe, anyway."

"I love you, Owen," she told him. He kissed her, love and adoration in his eyes.

"I love you so much," he told her, as they walked hand in hand out her front door.

Molly and Owen found themselves all too soon at the hieroglyphics. They embraced and she braced herself as she touched the stone and felt herself transport to the summit. When she could see again, she saw the Harvest King, looking so broken, Molly felt like she'd done a terrible thing. She approached him, slowly.

"I'm sorry, Harvest King," He shrugged, "Yeah," he said, in a sigh.

"I can't help who I fall in love with." He nodded, "I know." He stood up and walked over to her. She craned her neck up to look at him. He waved his hand over her and a blue feather appeared in her hand.

"Go. Be happy," he said, turning away. Molly felt herself getting emotional.

"You will find someone," she told him, "I know you will. I'm sorry it wasn't me." He turned back to her, walked up to her, and kissed her softly. She found that she was crying as she felt herself being transported and landing on Owen's couch, next to Owen himself. He turned to look at her, surprised, but then he saw the blue feather in her hand and his eyes darkened. She looked at it, then realized what he was thinking, and quickly explained.

"He gave me his blessing," she told him, "Owen, will you marry me?" He looked surprised, but broke into a wide smile, "Yes, of course, Molly, I love you so much!" he said, drawing her into a long kiss and Molly felt as if her troubles had subsided and everything was at peace at last.

Kathy sat on the beach at night, drinking an apple cocktail. It was late, and her day off, so she could spend it as she pleased. She was happy everything had returned to normal. But, she felt a little lonely, ever since she'd broken up with Owen. He just hadn't been mature enough for her.

A red glow appeared in front of her and Kathy watched it in shock, as it became a man, in robes, with long, flowing red hair. He stooped down appear less intimidating, holding out his hand and smiling.

"Hello, my dear. I am the Harvest King," he said, pleasantly. She placed her hand in his and he kissed it. Kathy gaped at him.

"You're real?" He chuckled, "Of course. I'm here now, aren't I?" She nodded.

"Would you mind if I joined you? I must say, I love apple cocktails!"

"Help yourself," she told him, gesturing to a small basket of them, "They're my favorite too." He smiled widely at her, and she smiled back at him. He was so polite, and shared her interests.

"You may just be the one for me," she said, without thinking. His smile impossibly widened.

"I was just thinking the same thing, my dear Kathy," and they continued to drink their cocktails, basking in the literal and metaphorical glow of their newfound companionship.

Sorry it took me so long to complete this, but I hope you enjoyed it!
