"Isn't she just amazing." The voice was soft, a woman's. It was familiar and gentle. Reassuring.
"Beautiful. I can hardly believe we made her." This voice was male. Harsher and more dangerous but once again, reassuring and didn't frighten me. "You will stay with me. Here?" It was an odd question, one had shaggy blonde hair, bright blue eyes, he looked like he could be a younger and more grisly version of my grandfather or the male version of me.
"You know I can't. I would be putting you, my family and our Daughter at risk. Joseph, I love you but there is more at risk here than just our love." I recognised the woman's voice now. My mother.
I was sure my mind was playing tricks on me. There was no way I would be able to remember a conversation my parents had when I was so young. My mother had always told me my father never knew I existed and that I should never know who he was. I assumed he was a pureblood from the lowest of the low. I guess I was right.
I woke up from my slumber as moonlight shone in from through the curtains. I looked up and there was Takuma standing their bathed in the moonlight as he thought and looked outside. He had his jeans on, no socks, no shirt, just his jeans with a towel wrapped around his shoulders and I figured he had just taken a shower. Keeping the covers wrapped around me I slid up and looked at him, he slowly pulled his eyes from the sight outside and to me with a gentle smile pulling at his lips. "Hello," He whispered brightly and turned to face me leaning against the wall.
"Hello." I blushed and ducked my head away from his intense gaze.
"Sleep well?" He asked and after a small giggle escaped I nodded my head, I watched his feet carrying him to the bed before ducking down in front of me. Placing a hand on my cheek turning my face to look at him before he quickly placed his lips onto mine a sweet sensation that sent my heart wild.
He pulled away slowly leaving his face close to mine while he spoke again. "Remembering earlier?" He let out a small laugh himself and I did remember earlier. It was better than I could have dreamed and I have a very good imagination.
I looked into his eyes and leaned forward resting my forehead onto his, "You're awfully bold aren't you?" I teased and he laughed pulling back before standing back and walking towards the window.
"Hmm… Maybe I am…. I guess…" He looked at me as I stood up and started walking towards my wardrobe to find some clothes. I felt his gaze on me and I tried to cover up knowing fine well it wasn't going to do anything to divert his eyes. I had never seen him act so confidently or boldly. It made him slightly more attractive.
I took my clothes and towels into the bathroom and cleaned myself up again. Any traces that I had been tied up and tortured for nineteen days where all gone and my hair was clean, my eyes back to being a vibrant blue I was left clean again. Looking in the mirror I remember yesterday in my fit of desperation, confusion, upset, distress, I don't know, seeing my grandmother.
That lead me to think of the dream I had before I woke up. I found it hard to believe it was true but it felt so real. Maybe just maybe it was possible to remember that far back.
I brushed the thoughts from my head and climbed into the shower washing my hair and checking under my arms and backs of my legs seeing that even the deepest and most infected wounds I had where all clean and healed not a single mark.
I climbed out and through on the dress trousers and purple blouse I had picked from my wardrobe. I quickly brushed and dried my hair and left some of it curving around my face as I tied the rest back. I applied a soft purple eye shadow and a pinkish lipstick before stepping out of the bathroom to find Takuma sitting in a chair speaking happily to Rima and Senri who had also come in.
"Ouka!" Rima smiled softly and walked over to me giving me a tight squeeze before she let go and I joined the conversation.
"What have I missed?" I asked and walked over to my wardrobe to place my clothes hangers in it. "I'm sure a lot has happened."
"It has." Senri spoke up and I turned around to face them. "Something big is going on."
"Senri we don't know that, not yet." Rima spoke up butting in. and I listened to the three of them bicker.
"Kaname-sama is hiding something!" Senri argued back and this was probably the most I'd ever heard him say in a single sentence.
"You two. Kaname always has a plan just let it be." Takuma stopped them and they both reluctantly stopped and stood up turning my way bowing their heads.
"We should be on our way to class." Rima sounded annoyed not wanting to annoy her I just smiled and walked her and Senri to the door before they walked away.
"What….?" I turned to Takuma and raised an eyebrow suspiciously to him.
"I'm not sure, Kaname is playing with his chess pieces again." Takuma stated and stood up walking over to me and giving me a hug placing a kiss on my cheek. "I should be heading to class as well." He whispered and kissed my cheek, I wrapped my arms around his waist and squeezed him tight resting my head on his shoulder.
"I'm going to see what I can find out about my father." I replied and leaned back to look at him, his eyes drooped and he shook his head.
"You should leave this alone Ouka. You're settled here, stay happy and peaceful." He sighed and squeezed me tighter, "You are not allowed to get hurt again." He whispered in my ear before looking back at me.
"I have to know." I sighed and still hugging him I reached up and kissed his lips softly. "I need to know who my father is." I breathed against his lips and he kissed me again it was forceful and he pulled me close against him even dipping me slightly.
He released me and again pecked my cheek before stepping out of my room and back to his own to get changed into his uniform. I thought my best option would be to ask the headmaster what he knew. So finding my boots I slid them on and started walking out of the dorm and saw other night class students on their way to they're class. I nodded my head to them and walked. I guess I am a pureblood. I am the elite of the vampire world and people respect me for it.
I walked through the crowd and into the headmasters building. Up to his office and knocked on his door, they're was still a light on so I assumed he was still working. "Come in." I opened the door and closed it behind me and he raised his head from his desk to look at me and for a moment he looked slightly shocked. "Ouka." He smiled and I nodded my head to him. "What can I do for you?" He asked and I stepped forward taking a seat in front of his desk. I could see him eagerly waiting and I was glad I had turned to him. He may have been a hunter before but know he was a trusted ally and I needed his help.
"I was wondering if you could be of use to me." I asked and he raised an eyebrow and clasped his hands together as he stared intently at me. He was definitely curious to what I was about to ask. I was worried about asking him and so I stood up and walked over to the glass cabinet he had where there was a jug of water and some blood tablets. Making myself a glass I turned to him and mumbled.
"What do you know about Joseph Wretch, he's my father."
