A few things:
First of all, I hope everyone had an amazing holiday season! I know mine was beyond great!
Second, this chapter is a little short. Y'all might be a bit used to 1k+ chapters, but let me just remind you that this is drabble, which means shorter but more chapters! Now, I know it might have been a bad idea to post my chapters in an unscheduled manner, but I'm learning! And I'm super dedicated to this story. I'm not going to stop writing in the middle of writing it. I swear, I'm going to finish it!
Third, school starts soon and I really wanted to get this out before it starts. I have sooo many ideas for this story and I can't wait to type it all up and post it up!
Lastly, shoutout to my betas: Megan and ChocolateMango! You guys are the best!
Hope you all enjoy this chapter! I had fun writing it :) Also, if you're reading new romance/humor fics or hurt/comfort/romance one-shots, be sure to tell me!
The following morning, I woke up with a smile too big. I was always up later than everyone else, so I wasn't surprised when I saw Rose and Alice having breakfast already. What surprised me, though, was the box of donuts sitting on top of the table and the smirks on their faces.
"Good morning!" Alice chirped from her seat.
"Good morning. What's up with the donuts? You guys don't eat more than cereal every morning," I asked as I walked towards the cupboard to get a mug for tea.
"Those donuts aren't for Alice and me. Those are for you," I heard Rose say. I froze from my place and turned around abruptly, only to be met by knowing smirks from my friends. They motioned for me to open it, and I walked tentatively towards the table with a hot face.
I opened the white donut box and I laughed out loud.
Inside the box were a baker's dozen of donuts with writings on each of the donuts that read "GO OUT WITH ME E" and a heart on the last donut. I grabbed one donut before I basically ran upstairs to get my phone.
Ok, you win. When and where?
My phone rang less than a minute later.
"Holy shit!" he exclaimed. "Are you serious? I hope you're serious. You are serious, right?"
"Fuck yeah, I'm serious. You gave me donuts!" I laughed.
"Okay, I'll pick you up at six. Dress comfortably. I'll see you. Bye!"
"Um, wow. Okay," I muttered to myself as I heard the line go out. I walked back down to the kitchen and resumed making my breakfast.
"So?" Alice said impatiently.
"Yeah, we're going out tonight. At six." I blushed profusely.
"Fucking finally!" Rosalie shouted as Alice started to squeal and clap.
"Okay, calm your tits. It's not going to be fancy, I don't think. He told me to dress comfortably, so I'm assuming we're not going out to dinner or whatever."
"You still have to look even more hot than usual!"
"Okay, fine. You guys can do whatever you want, but I get to choose what to wear," I said, trying to compromise.
"I'm good with that. I'll do your hair," Rose suggested.
"I'll do your make-up then." Alice smiled.
"Okay. We're obviously not going to start to prepare at 10 o'clock in the morning, right?"
"Nah, we'll start at four."
I ended up doing some homework after Alice and Rose left to change and do some errands. Somewhere within those few hours, I found myself on my phone, on Facebook, cyber-stalking Edward Cullen.
I tapped his profile picture, which was a photo of him, just simply smiling at the camera. He was wearing a white shirt underneath a grey hoodie, black basketball shorts, and royal blue Nikes.
He's so fucking hot.
I swiped my thumb across my phone's screen and saw another photo of him, this time in full football gear. He wasn't looking directly at the camera since it was a candid photo that was probably taken during one of the games, but you could tell just by looking at that photo how much love he has for the game.
I repeat, he's so fucking hot.
I tapped out of his profile pictures because those two extremely hot photos were the only ones he had (which is a shame, by the way), and looked at his cover photo, which was of him and his whole family. It was a really beautiful photo of them at an event, I'm guessing, with the boys dressed in suit and ties and Esme in a long, gold dress. They really are a good looking family and the best part was that they were down-to-earth. I haven't met Edward's parents - obviously - but the Cullen family was very popular in town and I hope to meet them someday.
Rosalie and Alice came by at four armed with curling irons and make up. They know how much I hate all of this shit, but does that stop them? Obviously not. They worked on me for about an hour and a half before they moved over to my closet and basically pulled out everything while saying "no."
Finally, after what felt like fifty hours, they settled on a thick, brown cardigan over a black tank top, some leggings, and a pair of brown flats. My hair was up in a bun, and my make up was kept natural.
By the time six o'clock came, my cool that I was feeling completely disappeared.
"Holy fucking shit, Rose. I'm actually doing this," I said, pacing back and forth as Rose and Alice looked at me with amused faces.
"Calm the fuck down, Bella!" Alice giggled from the couch.
"I can't do this! What if I mess up? You know I always mess up! Oh, God, I'm going to mess up."
Just as Rosalie was about to say something, the doorbell rang.
"Holy shit!" I exclaimed, straightening out my top and looking at the mirror before opening the door.
I was met with the sexiest man alive.
"Hey, you ready?" He grinned the sexiest crooked smile I've ever seen and I just wanted to kiss the life out of him. He was wearing the sexiest outfit, too. A white v-neck, black pants, and black and white Converse.
"Wow, you're hot," I blurted out. My eyes widened with his and I realized what I just said. Behind me, the girls snorted - unattractively, might I add - before doubling over in laughter. I looked back at Edward and found him trying hard not to laugh.
What a great start to a date.
