Chapter 11
Loki and Carrie teleported back to Asgard.
"I can't believe my mom actually said 'yes' to this," said Carrie, as she and Loki walked back to the castle.
"Everything is going to be okay now," she said, thinking about how much her life had changed.
Loki was thinking the same thing, but at the same time, he was also scared. There was still a lot Carrie didn't know. He knew she would have to learn some time. He didn't want to lie to her like Odin lied to him.
As soon as they walked back into the castle, Loki said, "I have something I need to show you. Don't be scared."
"Why would I be scared?" Carrie asked.
Loki's skin began to turn blue. Carrie was a little shocked, but not scared.
"What happened to you?"
"This didn't happen to me. It's the way I was born. Remember how I told you I was adopted? I am part Frost Giant," Loki said, his skin turning back to normal.
"I won't judge you," Carrie told him, taking his hand. "We all have things that make us special."
She picked up the hem of her dress and began to walk up the steps. Loki had that sly smile on his face as he looked at Carrie. The girl, no, woman, gave his life new meaning. For the first time, he felt like he had a purpose in life. As he appeared in front of her, Carrie gave him a smile.
"Bet I can beat you up the stairs," Carrie said.
"Not in that dress, you won't," Loki laughed.
